Wisp acted on Crow's words, with gusto. Vanishing from her position and reappearing next to Gorgonstar, she gave him another series of rolling attacks, each punch or kick flowed smoothly into the next blow. Just as her entrance smoke dissipated fully, she grabbed the back of her foe's head and forced it down to meet up rising knee. When she returned to her starting point her snowy hair was mussed and some nasal blood stained the right knee of her suit. "This is the best the Preservers can do? You fight like a dairy farmer!"

Free: Going to keep the AoA/PAs the same as last time. Move: Acro-bluff 1d20+15=27 (Maybe he won't do so well this time) Standard: 1d20+13=25 Save is between DC 29 and 34, depending on Autofire.

Reflex save: 1d20+8=23 Good thing I have Evasion 2. Toughness: 1d20+9=28

Wisp didn't take long to process the changes in their situation. Megastar was out cold and Gorgon was now running the show on his powered form without any internal resistance, Myrmidon's bonding gun wasn't nearly as effective without a drain on the systems, and her blond weapon-creating friend had just been hurtled bodily halfway across the campus. Thinking quickly, Wisp mixed up her favored teleport-pummel attack with several extra feints throughout the attack. She'd throw a couple quick jabs, reappear and fake a lunge only to vanish and deliver a swinging roundhouse, repeating with a variety of chops, jabs, false swings and kicks, lunges. While Gorgon's puppet remained standing, it seemed a near thing when she was done.

Azuth65 replied to trollthumper's topic in Archives
Move: Acro-bluff, 1d20+15=26 Standard: Teleport-pummel, 1d20+13=24 Depending on the check and defense, DC 22-25 Toughness from Babar. -
Wisp doesn't like crazy bitches dropping buildings on her boyfriend... 1d20+13=33 Depending on Hex's defense that's a DC 29-33 toughness save.
-
Free: All-out/power to max, dropping Def to +8 and boosting damage to +14 Move: Acrobatic bluff, 1d20+15=35 Standard: Teleport-pummel, 1d20+13=27 Given Gorgon-star is probably FF'd from the bluff, I'm going to guess a 27 hits. DC 29 Toughness save, up to a 33 thanks to autofire.

Vicky unbuckled her seatbelt and had to resist an urge to teleport away from the monstrously fast vehicle before Janis started it back up for an extra run around the block. As they walked up to the door she pulled her sunglasses case from her pocket and slide the shades into place, handily hiding the unnatural colors of her eyes from casual glances. "An excellent plan. I need to see if they've got one of those 'hungryman challenges' that you see on Man vs Food... I didn't get a chance at breakfast today," she said, her stomach rumbling. After a quick scan of the dining area Vicky motioned for her friend to follow her to a booth in the back.
-
Vicky made an exaggerated show of leaning forward in her seat, as if fighting against G-forces pressing her to the comfortable seat. "Good take off. Anymore 'oomph' in this thing and I'd have to make a pod racer joke," the young superhuman said, her snowy hair whipping behind her. At Janis' request for directions she closed her eyes in thought for a second. "Okay, third light up ahead take a left. Two more blocks down take a right. About six blocks up there's a one-way street, we follow traffic and should hit the place. While we're in the area, there's a Best Buy within walking distance, wanna swing in and do some quick shopping?"
-
"Oh, the usual," Vicky said setting the boxes down and pulling a boxcutter out to slice the packaging tape open, "Trying to find time alone with Morgan, which is easier and easier these days since you and Brian started dating. Also, still working the art thing. I had an story idea based vaguely off a bad M. Night Shamylan movie that I might pitch to Mona for her magazine." Pulling out the pieces she began assembling the monsters as she watched Gwen and her vines set up the corn-maze. "Since it's that time of year, do you have a favorite scary movie? Oh, oh! Maybe we should see about getting a projector out here for screening some horror movies after the dance?"
-
Vicky teleported to the greenhouse, the five-foot tall animatronic Dracula, mummy, and Frankenstein's monster decorations. The trio weren't even close to pushing her lifting ability but managing not to drop the packages was a challenge. She'd dressed for the chill still in the air from the morning, jeans and one of her hoodies, her favorite pair of sunglasses shielding her eyes from noon-day sun when it snuck out from behind the clouds. As she stepped out of the entrance cloud and over to the structure she called over, "Got the boxes you asked for Gwen. So, where do we want to start this project?"
-
Wisp didn't need to be told twice, "Got it!" she called back. As soon as her friend's blast struck, a cloud of crimson and snowy smoke appeared behind the overridden Megastar's back. The young woman's fist quickly shot forth from the quickly dissipating smoke and smacked into his back with an audible crack. She landed in another cloud of smoke next to Glowstar, her defensive posture off center while she shook her suddenly punch-numbed right hand. "Ow, ow, freaking ow," she muttered to herself.

Vicky ducked into one of changing tents, white and crimson smoke wafting out from under the flaps seconds later. Not long after that, mask adjusted and hair pulled back into a loose tail, Wisp stood on the corner of one of the 'royal seating box', blue and black energy glowing through her teleport's white and red smoke. She had been ready to join Glowstar and Revenant in their attack on the unexpected guests when out of the corner of her eyes she saw movement besides giant lizards and terrified civilians. Off in the jousting field, she thought she saw somebody kicking up dust as they moved.

Wisp would likely be in.

Start of her turn, Wisp's going to burn her one remaining HP to negate the fatigue from her stunting the stun. Free: All-Out + Power attacks, Def is +8, unarmed damage is +13. Main attack roll for the upcoming combined attack, 1d20+13=29

"A pleasure Mr. Jacobson," the younger girl said, taking the adult's hand. And she squeezed back, she checked her grip, no reason to crush her roommate's father's hand. "It isn't entirely my doing she's been running a solid A average though. I just try to help her focus during study sessions." "Actually Mr. Jacobson, we were planning on a pizza run," she explained, "I mentioned something my old circle of friends used to do the last weekend before school started back in Chicago which lead to picking up the yellow monster and picking up a few pies. However, the offer is very much appreciated. Would you like us to pick one up for you while we're out?"

The Jade Arenas of Heaven: Shock the Monkey [IC]

Wisp quickly vanished from the stands around the area, ashes from the fallen tree-minions drifting to where her feat hand been seconds ago. She reappeared several hundred yards away, just in time to deliver several strikes to the yao-gui elephant. Reacting quickly she balled up her fists and shot several quick shots into the beast's flank. "Hey, Babar! Right here! Hit me if you can!" she called up, inwardly hoping her mouth hadn't written a check her body couldn't cash. -
Vicky pulled her suddenly frizzy hair back into a loose tail, "Remind me to pick up surge protectors," she said with a smirk. Her eyes bugged a little at the car in the garage, "I'm not much for cars but damn, that's beautiful." She poofed from next to Janis, reappearing seated in the passenger side. Pulling the seat belt across her body she called over, "So, where're we goin'?"
-
Wisp's going to duck into a shady corner and use her quick change to get into costume. Then, 1d20+14=27 to follow the dragon's gaze.

vignette September Vignette (The Gorgon Comes)
Azuth65 replied to Avenger Assembled's topic in Freedom City Stories
September 23, 2011 Bayview, South Freedom The sounds of sirens filled the autumn air around Claremont Academy while Wisp teleported from roof to roof along one of the recently built developments in Bayview. She and her classmates had been dispatched by Headmaster Summers during the Gorgon Crisis, their job to lend a hand where they could with emergency response crews or law enforcement officers. Pausing on the roof of a half-finished house, she sat for a moment and pulled a small hipflask from her belt. Unscrewing the top she took a long sip of the contents, a mixture of Gatorade and protein shake. It may have tasted all kinds of foul but it gave her the calories, carbs, and protein to keep her body humming after an extended period of using her teleports. She'd already helped a crew of firefighters pull a family out of a burning house and had gotten one elderly couple to a nearby aid station. She sat on the edge of the naked roof and took the time to catch her breath. As she did, the roar of falling space debris, so common in the past few days, came from overhead. Before she could react, parts of an old satellite came crashing down in front of an ambulance rounding the corner. The driver must have had lightning reflexes to had swerved around it in time. Unfortunately he swerved onto the shoulder and into the ditch. Moving quickly the snow-haired teen poofed over to the vehicle and looked inside. The driver was conscious, though he bled from his forehead where it had impacted the steering wheel. She opened the door and helped him out of the vehicle. “You okay?†she asked, easing him to his feet. “Yeah, I think I'll be okay. Check in the back, my partner and I have a man who'd been stabbed during a home robbery.†Nodding, Wisp moved to the rear of the vehicle where despite being at an angle, a woman not much older than herself leaned over a man in his mid-forties, keeping pressure on a wound in his stomach. The young heroine opened one of the rear doors. “Just a heads up, if he's stable, your driver might need to be looked at real quick.†The first responder glanced over her shoulder before returning to what she was doing and snapping, “We'll have plenty of time while we wait for somebody to tow us out.†“Normally, yes but the vehicle doesn't seem to be leaking anything so I think once I get you out this ditch, you'll be good to go.†Wisp closed the hatch and poofed to the front of the ambulance. Rubbing her hands together she stepped up and took hold of the front bumper. Slowly as she lifted she felt the tires pull free of the muck of the ditch and before long she had the machine back on the road. Her arms sang in painful protest to their recent treatment as she moved back to the driver's position. He had stopped bleeding so when he all but jumped to his feet she didn't try and keep him sitting. “She seems good to go.†As the medic team drove off, Wisp pulled the still hot scrap out of the road. Her body told her to stop, to rest. Fresh cries in the distance however told her she was far from done that night. -
"Normally, I'd say yes in a heartbeat. But I have a training session with Archer and the rest of the team in the morning. And if I ate enough pizza to offset how many calories I'd burn making the five-mile humps, questions might be raised. Questions that could be fairly uncomfortable for my parents," Vicky said. A part of her was sad she was missing on a tradition from her 'old life' but she'd gained so much from coming to Claremont, inwardly she told herself it was a small price to pay. "Ah, so that's where you've been in the evening. Personally I'd thought you'd been going out with someone, I mean look at you," she said, indicating Janis' body. "You've got to have guys and girls all put throwing themselves towards you asking for dates." The white haired girl walked towards her roommate, "Now then, about this hot rod. You build it in the same wing of the garage Cole built his motorcycle out of, or is we looking at a 'normal' ride? Just wondering so I can plan accordingly, like 'plan on reaching escape velocity' or 'quiet ride to the nearest place that serves good pizza'." She finished the comments with an easy smile and slung an arm over the Freedom local's shoulders, teleporting them to the garage.

Wisp dug her feet into the soft soil of the zen garden as she braced herself. As the black streaked blue energy slowly coalesced around her, she remembered the handful of one on one training sessions with Fulcrum and the team sessions with Mr. Archer and the Irregulars. She thought to herself, Well Mona, Mr. Archer, we've practiced this a few times. I just hope it works. It took several agonizingly long seconds for the energy to build up and flow out, rushing towards the Gorgon-jacked Megastar. When the energy crashed into him, he looked a little crosseyed and if he had not been under several layers of Myrmidon-made constriction foam (and on the ground), he probably would have been wobbly on his feet.

So, in the end it's still an Irregulars thread minus Crow but with Gwen instead.

Seconded.
