Vicky looked over towards the well costumed security guard/event organizer. "We appreciate you finding us with plenty of time to spare good sir. We shall be ready in but a moment," she replied, allowing her years of fantasy gaming to let her reply in-character fairly well. She checked the schedule as she turned to the rest of the group, "Good news, the glass blowing demonstration has a second performance set for about twenty minutes after this tournament is supposed to finish."

Wisp watched Crow evacuate the civilians, highly impressed by what his coat was able to do. Focusing on the task at hand, she called up the odd energy at her command. With azure and black radiance trailing behind her, she ran along the edge of the roof, trying to get Hexbinder's attention. However, the woman seemed a little preoccupied, something the young teleporter felt she should capitalize on. She aimed one fist and allowed the energy to pour forward in a jet of power, striking the villain in the shoulder. "If I were you, I'd listen to the guy in the Spartan helmet," Wisp called out to the villain before looking over at Cannonade. "Small world, isn't it 'Nade?"

"Dunno Jan," Vicky said after porting right into the path of the disc. She spun on her heel, grabbed it and in the same motion sent it flying back roughly in her roommate's direction. "Honestly, my plans for today had, until you suggested some frisbee, only included using the laundry machines down in the basement and maybe invite Morgan up to watch some bad movies together, mocking them relentlessly." "My old gaming group, we had a tradition going back the past few years. The last weekend before summer break was over, we'd make our way over to Gino's East on North Wells and order a couple pies," she said, a small sigh at the end, "Much as I love it her in Freedom, sometimes I miss home."

1d20+14=19 Yay, Wisp gets to mock the Gorgon subroutines.

Poofing back into the bank, Wisp cast a glance at Changeling before giving the young illusionist a thumbs-up and moving to another pair of hostages. After, as politely as possible, getting weights she placed a hand on shoulder of each, willing them out of the building and back to the alley with the previous pair. "Okay guys," she said indicating the first group of evacuees, "Would you mind filling the nice people in on why we need them to stay put here for a few minutes?" After getting a nod, she vanished back into the bank.
-
Wisp watched her friend take several deep breaths. Despite having been knocked one heck of a distance, Glowstar seemed relatively ok. Once the Gorgon-empowered-Megastar situation was under control, she'd be sure to get Crow onto the roof and see if that coat of his had a rune of healing somewhere on it. Steeling her resolve, she looked back towards the gardens and vanished in a swirl of smoke. When she reappeared, her hands and eyes were alight with azure energy. "Burn bright, not hot," she muttered to herself as she raised her right hand, palm forward, fingers outstretched. The energy rushed forward in an almost graceful beam, as if eager to strike at Megastar. As the energy washed past him however, the hero was nigh unphased by the blast. Well..., at least he's still okay, trapped in his own exo-suit but okay, she thought to herself, bracing for a counter attack.

Vicky stood perfectly still as she watched the little plastic disc fly towards the tree. In a sudden plume of red and white smoke, she was gone from her previous position and falling from above the frisbee. She snatched the disc out of the air and flung it back towards her friend, making sure to check her swing. Last time she'd failed to do so..., well there was softball shaped hole in the football field's goal post. A few feet above the ground she vanished again in another plume, reappearing in a relaxed leaning position against the tree. "Nice toss Janis," Vicky complimented. She watched her return serve sail almost seventy feet over the blonde's head. It felt good to get out of their room for a little while. She was still collecting her portfolio for the upcoming meeting between her and Mona about getting published and panicking that her stuff might not be publishing ready.

Vicky watched Brian grab the hammer and get a fairly good result from the game. She gave an amused smile and polite bit of applause. Part of her wanted to step up and give it a whirl herself, though she knew doing so would be a horrible idea. Remembering the fact that she'd picked up a teacher's car rather than make them use the less than helpful scissor jack during a tire change, she just knew she'd send the weight up to the bell and then through it. Instead, she pulled out the schedule for the event and checked the time. "Morgan, think we should give the love birds," she started, watching Brian and Gwen pick the prize a few feet away, "some time alone and head for the glass blowing display?"
-
Vicky glanced over at the woman declared Lady and smiled in recognition as she joined the applause. She leaned towards Morgan and said in a whisper only he could hear, "I've 'worked' with her before. Remember the little recap I shared from up at Raymond? That's the non-sword swinging one. She takes her rads like a champ." She eyed Brian and Morgan, "I do hope the event organizers will be providing the prop weapons. If I'd had some notice, I could have made the long trip back to the Windy City and gotten some of the gear from some of the guys from my old gaming group. Never got into it myself but some of them do the LARP thing pretty heavily." Vicky looked down at herself, finding the fit of her top doing impressive things with her chest, "Though, I could get used to it." As the group navigated the crowds around the craftsmen she had to stop and watch a woman binding books. The wonderful leather-bound tomes came in several colors, she indicated to the binder's partner running the cash box she'd like the red and the black ones. One quick cash transaction later, she hurried to catch up with Morgan, Brian and Gwen. "Sorry. Shiny object," she said with a chuckle.

Johnny walks past one of the vending machines, sees Vicky drop a quarter which rolls under the machine then watches her lift the machine completely off the floor. With one hand...

Wisp watched the monster octopus-shark monster head towards the stage. Taking a deep breath she allowed some of the blue and black energy to swirl around her right hand. Remembering some training sessions with Mr. Archer she tried a different approach to her blasts. She raised her arm, palm flat out and simply allowed the energy to rush towards her target as she exhaled. Unfortunately, the Sharktopus shifted to one side and her energy streaked past. She clenched her fist, the ball of energy shifting slightly behind the monster while a faint glow lingered around her hand.

"Myrmidon, Glowstar, Crow, and Changeling are around. I think they had plans though. Did you get a chance to meet Crow or Changeling while we all were in Tian?" Vicky watched the metal's stress heat simmer as Mona forced it into a dog-like shape. "Yeah. The guys at certain shops look at you like you've got an arm growing out of your chest. But to be fair, we can be a little alien. My ex girlfriend had the kind of moodswings they make fun of in standup comedy clubs across the country." Vicky sat down on the handily placed boulder, "On a late night patrol when I couldn't sleep Brannagh lured me into an ambush and used some Fae mind-buggery on me. Next thing I know I'm being tricked into hitting my boyfriend who's under an illusion that made him look like Overshadow." She took a slow breath before continuing her story, "On the way out, after Myr summoned a bunch of C4 to blow up the temple I was held in, we slapped around the resident fairy queen." A contemplative look crossed her face, "First place my blasts emerged actually..."

Actually, the autofire attack would take her back inside. She's now outside with 'Clad, 'Nade, and Goku. -
Well, Wisp was going to blast him but that's only a 13. IC coming soon.

Wisp tapped her commlink with shaking fingers, "On it Crow," she said, nervousness tinging her voice. Ruby eyes tracked his prone form's arc as it soared towards Southside. Before had made it more than a mile and change, she narrowed her eyes before vanishing in a plume of her characteristic crimson and snow smoke. She'd made the estimates right and appeared above where Glowstar was heading. Tucking her arms in she allowed gravity to pull her into an intercept course with her friend. Reaching out she grabbed his uniform's cape and after summoning her will up again, brought them both back to Claremont. Landing the both of them on the roof of the Edward Jon Carter dorm, she laid Glow back and checked to see how injured he was. "Got him, he doesn't look too injured but he's out cold," she relayed into the comm.

Vicky looked over at Johnny. Â "Nah, but some of us take our fun pretty seriously," she said with a friendly smile. At Morgan's comment she blushed almost as scarlet as her irises. Â "You outfit certainly gives you a certain old world charm," she replied. As they exited the bus she directed the crew towards the waving Gwen, catching the glances between the Floropth and Brian she smiled to herself, glad to see another couple together. Taking her ticket she nodded and said, "Thanks Gwen. Â The entrance show sounds like fun." At John's comment she hoped that Gwen had covered for more students, the line really did look terribly long.

"Well, your secret's safe with me," Vicky said seriously, her voice letting Mona know she meant it. "Patrol sounds good, though I'll need some time to grab my costume. And we'd need to check with Mr. Summers, I'm grounded from patrols," she said, "Long story involving a sucker-punching little bitch and his Fae queen boss." "Well, I'm well under my allowance budget for the month. Without mid-patrol snacks, I end up using a lot less of what's on the pre-paid card my parents load for me." "I always suspected. Then again, isn't it almost always harder for women to get into what has typically been considered a boys club?" "Yeah, Myr's a good egg. Almost painfully polite though. Maybe for today we should keep to the weight training and next time I'll gather the crew for a introductions and a patrol?"
-
Vicky moved her arms under the purple cloak she'd picked up from the costume shop and had donned over a pair of black pants and almost corset-like top. Around her left wrist was a well designed faux-silver bracer etched with arcane-looking sigils and runes. At Brian's question she looked up, "The jousting, fencing, and archery displays here. That and giving my Halloween costume a trial run." Nodding to her boyfriend in the seat next to her she smirked, "So far, so good."

Hmmm, seems Wisp is now without a target. Guess she'll port up to aid Goku and Ironclad. That's a 29 to hit Dumbo. DC 22 toughness.
