Wisp looked up at the giantess. Â "Wow, um, don't take this the wrong way or anything but you seem a few years too old to be a T-baby..." "I probably could but right now, my main goal is just getting a better handle on the energy blast itself. Â Mr. Archer has Glowstar and I shooting skeet with our blasts while Myrmidon pegs them with various weapons he summons," she explained. The snow-haired teen's mouth split into a wide smile, her ruby eyes sparkling. Â "That would be awesome! Â I'll gather up Dead Noon and some other pitch-comics from my portfolio and bring 'em by The Brownstone sometime in the next few days. Â Maybe bring a pizza or three with me, make it a business lunch."

Wisp vanished again from her position by the circle to attack shotgun boy again. In a cloud of red and white mist, she appeared a few feet over his his prone form. Allowing gravity to do her work for her, she held her feet straight down so she'd plant both feet into his midsection. Just as she was about to hit, her opponent rolled to one side and stood. Her follow up move, a leg sweep, was just as easily dodged. Rolling backwards, she vanished in another cloud and returned to her self-appointed post by Blueshift.

Life's been on one of the more roller coaster like experiences lately. Since getting back from Florida, I've spent most of the week helping with the flooring at the bar and working my paper route so my posting rate has suffered a bit. Now, CDL license school starts Monday, where I'll be pulling ten hour days for the first three weeks, Monday through Friday. I think coffee and I are going to become good friends from the 12th until the 30th. I'll be doing my best to get posts up during lunch or when not working/in class over the next three work-weeks. Starting in October I get out two and a half hours earlier so that'll help.

"Yeah, I'll have to tell them eventually. Not sure when but I know I will. Just, do me a favor. If I ever wear anything like his SS looking uniform, please punch me in the head. Repeatedly," she said, finishing with a slight smile. Picking up her weights she resumed hefting them, "Sort of both, calling it up consciously feels like I'm tensing nearly every muscle in my body but when I unleash it I feel like a faucet set on full blast. When I'm not actively calling it up but instead having it begin to leak out on it's own, getting it to dissipate is closer to letting out a breath you didn't notice you were holding." When she mentioned her zombie comic, she saw the look cross Mona's face she felt the need to say something more, "I have other stuff that rings closer to classic Sci-Fi and fantasy too, the Weird West is just the one I've worked on the most lately. I admit, I've got that artist's temperament where I can easily find myself flitting from one project to the next as ideas strike my fancy... Something I'm working on, Dead Noon was my attempt at that."

Description: Victoria is a shy and modest girl, despite her undeniably pretty face and developed curves. She keeps her long hair, recently turned white from her powers emerging, in a braid and her red eyes show glints of the sharp mind behind them. Power Descriptions: Wisp's teleporting leaves a small cloud of red and white smoke in her place and another around her when she arrives. Her recently discovered energy blasts come in the form of light blue crackling energy with randomly appearing black streaks. History: Victoria Anastasia Knight is the only child of Johnathan and Natasha Knight. John was a CIA operative during the Cold War while Natasha was a Soviet double-agent, feeding the Americans intel from the KGB. Both had participated in their nation's super-soldier serum. John's was a variant on the serum The Patriot was given that, instead of making a man into the peak of humanity, granted him two powers that would aid greatly in espionage and assassination, invisibility and teleportation. Natasha's however, due to the Soviet Union's crippled financial condition and their war in Afghanistan, used a serum left-over from The Great Patriotic War, a serum based on blood samples taken from Superior found in a captured Nazi lab. She was the best qualified person who volunteered for the test. It left her with super-human strength and abilities of the Ultiman, if to a limited degree, some of which (such as the energy blasts) she had better control than others. Her commanders assigned her mostly to body guarding and espionage missions. Her mother and father ran into each other multiple times over the years where, after years of romancing and convincing, she eventually began feeding intel to the Americans and giving false information to her own people. In the late '80s, she defected West and assumed a new life in America with John. As a child Vicky, named after her paternal grandmother, learned as much as she could from her parents, in case any old enemies showed up (obviously, they didn't tell her that last part). The result however left her less than outgoing, thus her reclusive personality, retreating into Sci-Fi and Fantasy of all sorts. Before her powers manifested, she might have been well on her way to a life locked in her home with few friends or outside contact. When her powers did emerge, they did so in a way that pretty much destroyed a chance at keeping them secret. The local cheerleaders, most of whom had tormented Vicky for openly reading books like World War Z and Mistborn, though mainly because she read the Russian language versions of those books, had cornered her and were about to spray paint her and her backpack again. As the head cheerleader moved in with the can of purple spray paint aimed at Vicky's face, her fear and anger caused her to teleport behind her and before she knew what she was doing she had laid out the squad. More amazing to her was that the scrapes and bruises on her knuckles from where she'd punched the girls healed before for her stunned eyes. The next few weeks were, tense to say the least. Her parents were less than pleased she'd been suspended for the incident. The principal had always been one to side with the cheer squad, since their parents usually donated the most, so when Vicky was found standing over the group of girls groaning in pain, she was removed from the school. When the representative from Claremont Academy came and offered her a place to attend class with other meta-humans, to practice with and gain full control of her powers. She and her parents agreed this was an excellent idea and they began preparations for the move. Upon seeing the campus she was hooked. Seeing it as a chance to start over, and with that in mind she made a concentrated effort to come out of the shell she'd built around herself. Taking up the mask she wears now, she picked a codename that focused on the stealth training and puffs of smoke her teleportation leaves and thus Wisp was born. Personality & Motivation: Bullied and abused by those with more power, be it physical or social, Vicky has sworn a personal oath to use her powers responsibly, helping those who can't help themselves. Powers & Tactics: Wisp's strength is in the range of the pinnacle of what a normal human is capable of and between her stealth and high mobility she has little trouble leading a charge. She's not afraid to go toe to toe with anyone, knowing she'll heal quickly. Complications: Dark Legacy: Her super-strength and energy blasts come from a super-serum using genetic material taken from a Nazi war criminal and foe of the Centurion. Enemy: Brannagh and his boss might be a tad angry from the result of her first "visit" to their realm. Family: She loves her parents and would do almost anything for them. In Soviet Russia...: Her Russian heritage has caused trouble with people who just can't let the Cold War go. Secret (Identity): The fact she feels much more confident while behind the mask means Vicky will go to great lengths to keep her nightly activities a secret. Spy Kid: Her parents are both retired spies and have made enemies. Said enemies may come looking for revenge. Wisp stopped pacing when Megastar started ordering them around. Her first response was to tell the older hero off but she held her tongue, by biting it. She stretched and said, "Every ten minutes or so I've been doing a teleport tour around the school's walls. You might have seen the red and white smoke on your way here, that would have been me." After Crow spoke she poofed to sit behind his head on his large rock and lay her hand idly on his shoulder, "That'd be nice."

Wisp balled her hands into fists, her light blue energy crackled around them while black streaks ran through the energy. She raised her fists and tried to remember everything she'd learned from training with Glowstar in the Doom Room under Mr. Archer. She took a deep breath as she aimed and exhaled, sending the energy outward in a rush. Unfortunately for her, she seemed to have rushed it as the stream shot between two of the beast's tentacles, impacting the stage and sending a chunk of it flying into the river. "Damnit," she muttered, mentally making plans to schedule more blasting practice time.

Sounds good here.

Wisp kept pace with her boyfriend as they ran from rooftop to rooftop, feeling her heart pump from the exercise. As dates went, this one was one of their best. The day had just been incredible and had her plotting her own tour of Chicago with Morgan in the future. She'd been lost in those thoughts, and checking glancing at Morgan's butt in his tight jeans, when she was rocked from them by an explosion in the distance. "Well, that doesn't sound good," she muttered as Crow lead the way.
-
Wisp took the hands of the civilians and 'poofed' out to the alleyway they'd entered the simulation through. reappearing next to Crow she released her grip on their hands, "Okay, we need you all to stay out of sight for the next few minutes. If the robbers see you out here, they might figure out something's up before we're ready." Nodding to Crow that she was ready, she vanished back to the bank to check for more hostages that needed rescue.

The Jade Arenas of Heaven: Shock the Monkey [IC]
Azuth65 replied to trollthumper's topic in The Realms Beyond
Wisp eyed the remaining trees Bres had brought to the fight, noting the smoking remains of the two Myrmidon had dropped. Summoning up her will she vanished in her white and red smoke only to reappear several times around the trees and attack from several directions. Kicks, punches, and a few elbow and knee strikes flew from her clouds as she attacked. Bark was ripped from two of the trees but the third, her punch shattered it like a plank at the karate tournaments she'd been involved in as a child. "We shouldn't be long Myr, given how quickly Bres went down last time," Vicky called to her classmate. -
Wisp paced across the garden, careful to remain outside of the area John had raked. She'd worn no small amount of the grass down, having minimal outlet for her pent up energy. She'd managed to get in touch with her parents, before the lines had been locked down from civilian use, who told her that her home town's local heroes had their problems well in hand. When Glowstar had returned with company she stopped and gave the boy a wave and a weak smile.

"I'll have to bring it next time," she said in response to her question about a portfolio. "Mostly I'm doing my own graphic novels, my personal favorite is this genre-blend of the wild west and zombies." "I'd like that. I usually just use the equivalent of a skeet shooting setup to practice my blasts. One of the guys I train with has these red and black energy blasts so we've got this cool little opposing symmetry going," she explained as a little of her own light blue and black crackling energy began to surround her hands. Noticing she caught the weights and closed her eyes. After a few seconds the aura around her hands subsided. "Sorry. Guess my control isn't as good as I thought. Though, last month I'd have probably ended up wrecking the weights." When Mona mentioned the source of her powers the weights dropped from her hands. After a minute of silence while she thought Vicky finally spoke. "How familiar are you with the foes the Centurion had during the Great Patriotic War? Specifically 'der Ubermench'? My mother, well for the sake of expedience I'll just tell you that she was given a serum the Soviet army had seized from Nazi scientists instead of how. We're pretty sure that's where my strength, regeneration, and energy blasts come from. Thing is, I haven't shared this with the rest of my team yet. I did tell my boyfriend but not everyone else." Taking a deep breath she shook her head, "I mean, what do I tell them? 'Hey guys, I'm technically Superior's grand-daughter.'?"

Wisp's temper was more than slightly inflamed as she saw the shotgun wielding punk stumble to his feet. She called up her will and in another plume of white and crimson smoke, launched another violent assault on the man. Her first attack was a dropkick to the small of his back before she reappeared in front of him delivering a powerful uppercut where she finished by grabbing his wrist and throwing him into the outhouse they'd spent most of the previous day constructing.
-
I'd like to send him towards the outhouse. IC coming soon.
