  1. Move-action: Acrobatic bluff 1d20+15. Standard-action: Power-attack -5 atk/+5 DC, 1d20+8=9. Um, no. I seem to have two HP left so, gonna try a reroll. 1d20+8=28 Tracer needs a DC 34 toughness save. Wisp doesn't like it when you shoot her friends.
  2. "I'm not a huge fan of World of Darkness myself but I have the PDFs and know the gist of the rules. Personally, I'd rather be Buffy than early series Spike in a vampire crowded world," she said shaking her head slightly. "It's cool, if there was anything I didn't feel like sharing, I would let you know, as politely as possible," she said with a smile. Vicky caught the weight as she began juggling the two she already held, "Right now, all I've got going on is a fairly inaccurate but powerful burst of energy. Aside from accuracy, I'm working on getting it to 'burn bright, not hot' to act as a less painful way to subdue a foe via blinding light rather than pushing his teeth in." Keeping her rhythm going she replied, "The big thing I'm looking forward to is the sequential art classes. Grim might still have the sketch I did of her that afternoon we met but I've gotten a lot better since then." Vicky laughed as Fulcrum recounted the events, "Curbstomp battle eh? Poor schmuck."
  3. Wisp's going to hold for a combined attack with Torque on the final robot. When the time comes,1d20+8=23.
  4. Wisp walked between Changeling and Crow as they left the room and entered the active scenario. Nodding to the young illusionist next to her she placed a crimson gloved hand on both her and Crow's shoulder and in a plume of smoke, the three of them vanished from the sidewalk and reappeared in the read of the bank, about ten feet from the nearest huddled mass of hostages. Moving over to them, trusting in Changeling's illusions to keep her unnoticed, she spoke softly while extending her hand, "I'm going to get you people out of here. Take my hand please."
  5. I'm not in her direct path but Syracuse is in the possible predicted area. Even if I'm not, I won't be around much next week as I'll be in Tampa provided JetBlue can get Bree and I there.
  6. With the shark she'd been grappling out cold, Wisp unceremoniously let it drop to the ground. She was about to make a comment about not wanting seafood for a while when the roar of the giant ...thing cut her off before she'd even started. Watching Glowstar's attack she tried to capitalize on the situation and collected a large amount of her recently discovered energy abilities and let it fly from her hands. When the blue and black crackling stream impacted, the beast barely seemed to notice. "Okay, either I'm not as good at this as I thought or he's tougher than he looks..."
  7. Wisp is going to take the time to power attack -5 atk/+5 toughness and non-feat defensive attack -2 atk/+2 defense putting her attack at +6 for her goon-sweep on the minions. It hits but no auto-fire, DC 27 toughness for creepers 2, 3, and 4. Her defense is also now +15 for the round.
  8. Wisp made her way towards the first bot, when she got within striking range she allowed the blue and black energy to crackle around her hands. Rising her fists she willed the energy outward in a powerful blast of power towards her target. Unfortunately for her, the machine side-stepped just enough for her attack to go wide and punch a hole in the brick fence yards behind it. "Damnit," she muttered under her breath.
  9. Free: maxed All-out, Power attack shifts on the next attack against Sharktopus. Stat changes are +5 DC, Defense of +8. Standard: Wisp's firing her "laser". 1d20+8=21, need a DC 32 toughness save from the monster please.
  10. Vicky stood in the back of the room. While everyone else was focused on the screen she focused her will and in a plume of smoke her civilian guise was gone and instead she wore a new black, red, and white costume. She stepped up looked over the display, "I'm with John on this one," she said, "Hostages first, then we go Roman on the thugs." Pointing to the vault she added, "Though if we can lock any of them in once the hostages are removed and buy ourselves a few extra seconds, I fail to see how that would be a bad thing." "Of course, the problem with this plan is the same as all others. It probably won't survive first contact with the enemy."
  11. Victoria visibly shuddered when Morgan mentioned her kidnapping. Silently, she was glad she didn't remember much of the experience, one second she was teleporting from rooftop to rooftop, the next she was giving a speech and punching her illusion-covered boyfriend. When her memories came to their teammate blowing up the place as they left she smiled and felt the a smirk cross her lips. "I could go for a nice lazy little patrol," she said with a little of a groan induced from stretching, "Though, think I can have five more minutes?"
  12. Honestly, that sounds like the opening line to a FC-PbP convention/gathering. With hookers. And blackjack.
  13. Acro-bluff would have left the 'bot flat footed.
  14. Wisp's eyes were all but burning with rage as the guy who had shot their group's feline companion roared up the beach and towards the build-site in his jeep. Almost as soon as he had stopped the vehicle, Wisp was on the move. With an effort of will, she vanished from her position in a plume of white and crimson smoke only to appear holding onto the rollcage of his vehicle and swinging both feet at his face. After connecting with a solid crunch and sending him flying from his ride, she vanished again and reappeared above him to deliver an axe-handle smash, leaving him in the dirt before returning to her starting point.
  15. Vicky slipped the little commlink over her ear after pulling her snow-white hair back into a loose ponytail. Rolling her neck and having the piece not move she nodded to John, "Thanks." When Corbin inquired about the group's readiness she nodded and replied, "I can change on the way. I've been working on and I think I've perfected teleporting my costume on while sending my civilian clothes into my bag. I can't get them in folded but at least when the smoke clears, the top isn't inside out and backwards."
  16. 1d20+8=20 Woot, saved. Barely.
  17. Vicky lounged in the warm sunlight, getting what was likely to be the last bit of tanning she'd do in before the coming fall's school schedule left her too busy for it. She wore a purple bikini and white sarong wrap while she stretched on the towel she'd laid out. "Oh yeah," she said rolling over to meet his gaze, "This is without a doubt a much better trip than last time. Though, I will admit the trip to Tian had it's benefits too." Rolling onto her stomach she took a bite of her own sandwich, glad it wasn't nearly as messy as some of the ones she'd had at Al's Italian Beef. The roast beef in this sandwich had to be some of the best she'd ever had, combined with the lazy vacation attitude and chance to spend more time with her boyfriend made her feel like she was on cloud nine. "So, what's on the agenda for this afternoon?"
  18. "That would be good, though I do expect if you end up going out with one of them, the other is going to sulk for a while," Victoria said, resettling her weight to better hold Gwen in place on the blue training mat. "This isn't hurting you is it? I'm trying my hardest but I have this horrible fear that my control will slip. I mean, you saw me lift that dumpster full of gravel the other day...," she stated, letting her tone and the memory finish the sentence for her. Keeping the chloropath still, she counted slowly aloud, "One... Two... Thr-"
  19. Well, the tracer has ticked Wisp off by shooting one of her friends. All-out, power attacks so total change to stats for the round, attack +13, unarmed DC +12, defense +8. 1d20+13=33 Poor Tracer needs a DC 35 toughness save.
  20. "That would most likely be the best way to fill in the gaps, let some of the professionals show us where the biggest gaps lie and who would be best suited to fill them. I've been working on my computer skills with Cole in between helping him work on this Virtual Realty setup so that's another thing I could work towards being able to bring to the table," Vicky said, absentmindedly allowing small motes of her blue-with-black-sparkles energy to flicker across one hand as she spoke. When she noticed she closed her eyes in concentration and forced the energy to dissipate. "Sorry, still working on getting that under control..."
  21. I'm figuring a combined attack from Torque and Wisp. Move: Acro-bluff 1d20+15=20 Attack: 1d20+8=10 Well crap, with my luck that blast probably took out a chunk of the wall we were just on. Hopefully debris didn't hurt any civilians nearby.
  22. Seconded. Freedom of Information Act and all .
  23. Since the paintings hadn't gone after the civilians, just each other, I'll assume Quirk wasn't paying attention to what exactly Rene was doing since it wasn't directly interfering with his fun. He does know Rene did something magic-y though so, yeah he ain't buying the helpless old man bit . Still, Wisp and Rene get a free concealment round on the Knight. Plan accordingly :D
  24. In this corner, an aged Frenchman and a Russian-American with more guts than sense. And in the other corner, a cosmic imp and his champion, a magic descriptor-ed version of AA's Star Knight build. There may or may not be some villain-stunted effects popped out of this guy, expect the occasional hero point. Until then, INIT! Wisp: 1d20+7=27 Knight: 1d20+3=13
  25. The young boy looked up at the heroine, though the look in his eyes was anything but childlike. They held powers that humanity was millennia from even beginning to understand, if it ever did. "I know you! Oh, this couldn't have worked out any better! Tell you what Lady, you and the old guy beat the opponent of my choice and I'll put everything back, good as new. You lose and you have to play with me some more. Don't bother saying no, you're not getting much choice." As he finished a large man in a suit of platemail covered in runes and sigils glowing a soft yellow-orange stepped from the shadows and knelt next to the boy, "How may I serve thee, Lord Quirk?"
