Vicky began walking towards the gatehouse with Jeena beside her. "So, you tried flirting with Morgan and Corbin?" she asked, there wasn't even a hint of anger or jealousy in her voice as she spoke. At Jeena's nod she sighed, "Highschool... I should probably have done a proper introduction the other day on the tour so yeah, this is at least partially my fault. I'm also guessing he had pretty much zero tact when turning you down?" At Jeena's second confirmation she her head. "I'll tell you what, I know that John's single. Maybe I can set you guys up on a date?"

Vicky laughed with Crow in comparing the group to Team Fortress characters. "Nah hon, if I'm anyone I'm the Scout," she said before screwing her voice into a Bostonian accent, "Grass grows, birds fly, and brotha, I hurt people." She couldn't hold her face straight for long before she joined Morgan in laughter, leaning against each other. As Brian left she settled back down and leaned against the brick wall that separated the campus from the rest of Freedom City. "So, we have some first-aid training. A tactician. And a font of arcane knowledge. Maybe I should sign up for a forensics-101 class this fall, learn how to examine a crime scene without mucking it up."

Wisp gagged at the smell and had to actively force herself not to teleport away as the decontamination crew worked on scrubbing down her. Looking over to either side of her at her two companions she grumbled, "Anyone else suddenly feel less like a superhero and more like a dog recently sprayed by a skunk?" She mostly remained silent during the rest of the scrub down. "Hey, to avoid risking more damage than there may be already, could you call in somebody trained and experienced with that crane to drag the guy out of there?"

I vote fluff! That or Wisp could call up Cape, see how much cargo he can carry on his teleports...

"Well, this should hurt more bitch!" Wisp yelled as she rounded on the little man again, her fist still obscured behind a swirling cloud of crimson and snow colored smoke. With an audible crunch her fist hit him square in the nose, likely breaking it painfully. The smoke rolled across his body for an instant before dissipating. When she pulled her fist away, her suspicions about the fate of Heavy Metal's nose was indeed correct as blood poured down his face. With a bit of satisfaction she watched his eyes roll up into the back of his head before falling onto his back. "Okay, glad that's done," she muttered as her hand-smoke drifted away, "And now, to get out of here before we end up looking like residents of Necropolis or Underworld." With that, she grabbed Chesire and Revenant's hands, teleporting them all out of the core and towards the nearest security station.

Vicky, while out of earshot noticed Jeena trying 'the rub' trick she'd used a couple times in her dating life to gauge interest. She sure couldn't blame the sometimes-giantess for her interest in Morgan or to a lesser degree in Corbin. She could hear Morgan say something but couldn't make out the actual words as Gwen moved some boxes next to her. Then she saw Jeena shrink in on herself and all but run away. She stepped quietly over to Jeena after giving Crow a look that said, 'What did you say to her?'. When she stood next to the blond haired girl, she gently put a hand on the Dutch girl's shoulder in a comforting gesture. "You okay Jeena? Why don't you come walk with me to the gatehouse? I could use a hand with the pizza. And if something's bothering you, you can tell me and maybe I can help?"
-
Yeah, but not by much.

Move action: Get behind some sort of cover, like porting into the tree with Gwen. Free action: Quick change, the clothes she's wearing and the costume in her bag switch places (Quick Change) Free action 2: Switch to her goon-sweep teleport attack. Standard: 1d20+13=32 Yeah... gonna use an HP for Imp Crit on her AE attack. DC 27 toughness saves (plus up to another +3 for autofire, I'd do the math myself but, no stats) from sharks 1, 2, and 3 please.

Vicky dusted her hands and walked over to watch Brian work. "Nice work Bri. Glad one of us with energy manipulation can do more than blow stuff up," she sighed. To Corbin she added, "He's got a bit of a head start on energy manipulation, mine just started coming in. I am however glad it only cost me a couple pencils and a sketchpad before Mr. Archer's training helped get it under control. I still need to work on my aim, though the training I've been assigned, both from Mr. Archer and Fulcrum, has more to do with improving my strength, endurance, and teleporting abilities." When Gwen called out that food would be incoming shortly she called over, "Let me know when the gatehouse calls over. I'll run over and grab the pies. The security guard likely won't let the driver past."

The Jade Arenas of Heaven: Shock the Monkey [OOC]

1d20+14=31 Notice after using teleport to get as many angles seen as possible around the arena. -
"I'm with Gwen on this, I'm rather intrigued by the change-up. Royalty and mob bosses do work pretty well. Besides, this isn't the first of The Bard's works to be modernized. West Side Story springs to mind," she said to Brian and Gwen after their comments on the play. While they waited she set her bag on the blanket and laid back, using it as a pillow while waiting for the show to start. To Morgan she added in equally hushed tones, "Best case of attacks, maybe I get to knock Angle on her ass with one punch again. And hey, no exploding door traps to set off. I was pulling those tiny glass shards out of that sweater for a week, though I should count myself lucky that it's wearable and doesn't look too damaged."
-
"So, you've got a knack for it. Very good. My wrestling experience is mostly in Samooborona Bez Oruzhiya," Vicky said. "It's a Russian martial art my mother taught me the basics of. I'm only a third Yunosheskiy Razryad, I think the belt-color equivalent in karate would be somewhere in the neighborhood of a green belt." With her commentary done for the moment, she launched herself forward into a roll that ended in a handspring where she grabbed Gwen's wrist and brought it around her back. Not wanting to hurt her friend she didn't apply much pressure but she did hold it enough to keep it in place.

Wisp looked over the battlefield and noticed that all the rampaging robots seemed to be down but one was still spitting sparks from a large hole in it's chest. She'd also noticed how Fulcrum hadn't looked so hot when she passed by it. Vanishing from her perch in a plume of crimson and white smoke, she reappeared next to the downed machine. Peering into the hole that had once been several hundred pounds of steel armoring she saw a massive crystal inside. Okay Vicky, think. Claremont could probably safeguard this thing but it's way too far away. Fulcrum seems to get ill around it so the Brownstone's out. ASTRO! Maybe they can guard it, possibly even tell me what the hell it is. If not, well the river's not much further..., she thought to herself. She reached in to place a hand on it and with another concentrated effort of will took it with her on a 'jump' three football fields away from the remains of the robot and closer to ASTRO Labs.
-
Yeah, 500lbs is Wisp's carrying capacity now. Okay, I'll have her snag the crystal and port it away. ...Suddenly I feel like Aquaman, my job being to pick up the kryptonite and put it in a lead box for Superman . Probably gonna drop it off at ASTRO if nobody from the team stops her. If they won't take it, well the Wading River just got a new reef.
-
How large is the Daka Crystal power core? Less than five hundred pounds?
-
Sorry for the delay, the subscription system doesn't seem to like this thread. Given that Wisp's edits have gone through since last I attacked, two ways I can act. 1) I can bump her stunted corrosion to reflect that she's stunting off a 24PP array. 2) I can do a fresh EE (and take the fatigue that brings) off said 24 points. Either way, 1d20+9=22. Power and All-outing so Wisp's Defense is +8, DCs are 23 and 28 please.

Move action: 1d20+15=16 for an acrobatic bluff check. Standard action: 1d20+9=16, 1d20+23=36 Grab and grapple checks respectively.

The vines wrapped around Vicky's wrists, locking her arms to her side. With a grunt of effort however, she managed to loosen their grip on her so she could slip down to the mat where she rolled down forward and sprang towards her opponent. With an outstretched arm she tried to grab one of the redhead's arms but she nimbly set-stepped the teleporter and let the girl go sailing past. "Not bad, Gwen. Not bad at all," she complimented the chloropath. "I have to ask, how much training have you done before coming here?"
-
1d20+9=14 Yeah, Vicky flubs her grab attempt. IC coming soon.
-
Vicky held Morgan's hand as they walked behind Gwen and Brian towards the handily unoccupied area. Ducking into the shadows the trees cast she took a seat herself, she scanned the stage without removing her sunglasses. "When you guys first suggested Shakespeare in the park, I'll be honest, I confused this play for Hamlet. Probably for the best that it isn't, with our luck some necromantic jack-ass would animate Yorik's skull into some mindless rampaging abomination." Inwardly, she wished she didn't know from experience how likely it was that a date in Freedom would be interrupted by some sort of villainous incident, recalling the first time she, Morgan, and Janis had gone to the Bayview mall together.
-
Vicky strolled up behind the bench Brian and Morgan sat, her steps almost silent on the boardwalk. She leaned down and whispered into Morgan's ear, "You two can try and look relaxed but we're women. We can smell your fear." Following that she kissed him on the cheek and stepped around the bench to sit next to him. She was wearing the pretty white blouse she'd worn a few dates back with a pair of black jeans. On her left shoulder hung the black strap to the messenger bag she nearly always carried. Her hair hung down her back in a long braid that bobbed as she moved. "Good evening boys."
