Installing the pipes hadn't taken long, a few minutes of double checking to make she'd done it right and they were set. She then glanced at the dumpster, sizing it up. Then, in an all to common plume of smoke of smoke, moved to the container. Rubbing her hands together she braced herself then began to lift the dumpster and pour roughly half the contents where Gwen had directed. When she was done she dropped the steel container with a massive thud. Looking around she blushed almost as crimson as her eyes, "Sorry." She quickly set about evening the stone before returning to where she'd left her drink. "That too much stone or did we need it higher?" she asked before guzzling the remains of her Gatorade.

Gonna attempt to break out, 1d20+23=38

That hits. 1d20+23=24 Well, that's a fairly low grapple check to beat.

Vicky nodded, "Some studies have found that some video games do improve hand-eye-coordination. Mostly first person shooters, which given their propensity for violence and cursing Mr. Summers has chosen to not allow them to be played on the public TVs in the lounges. Though, most of the student body has a video game console of some sort in their room so that's where those games get played most." Opening the door to the building she continued, "There is indeed an art club. I'm a member, next meeting's on the thirteenth of the month if you'd like to sit in on a session."

Vicky watched Jeena unpack the giant sheets of glass and once the task was completed gather up the shipping containers and crumple them like used scrap paper before tossing the ball into the dumpster Mr. Summers had rented for the day. Then her ears rang as, despite her obvious attempts to keep her voice down, Jeena's words rang like shotgun reports. "Well, I was about to ask but our floor's gentle giantess has beaten me to it Gwen," she said before guzzling half the Gatorade in one long pull. Her lips now stained red from the drink she gave a slight smile, "Point me somewhere and give a task, I want to see if we can finish this before the pizza gets here."

Vicky leaned against the handrail leading up the stairs, now that they'd stopped moving her legs were already recovering. "Plenty of chairs, a couple arcade cabinets, pinball machines, pool and ping pong tables, and the announcement board. The other side is the laundry setup and an oversized janitor's closet," she answered. "Also, there's a music system. The dorm monitor usually has it on Top 40s but sometimes, depending on the music you're requesting, you can plug your MP3 player in or put in a CD."

Vicky smiled as she finished her pre-workout stretching, "Heck, I'd have done that anyway. How 'bout when you find the right guy or girl, Morgan and I cover your half of a double date?" She then then pulled her hair back and secured it with a purple hair tie to keep it out of her eyes during their match. This, she knew, would also make her hair an obvious target in a real match but this was just a friendly bout with incentives so she wasn't really worried about Gwen fighting dirty. Sliding into an easy stance, she made a little 'come on', gesture with her right hand.

"Sorry. I'm starting to feel like that Honduran butler from Mr. Deeds now," Vicky said. "Maybe some you should do a ride along sometime like what Jeena and you are doing with your vines. I can assure you, nobody who's ever come along has ever been hurt. ...Well, there was this guy who tried to mug me over in the West End a couple months back but that was less him being hurt by a 'jump' as gravity when I dropped him into a dumpster and slammed the lid on him." Her eyes sparkled as an idea came to her, "Or, we can make this interesting. If I can get you in a pin for a three-count, we'll go for a little ride. If you can pin me..., well, pick your prize."

Once Zach, Gwen, and Jeena were outside, Vicky began walking the new students around the school, taking time outside each building or at every major point of interest to answer questions. Once outside the Rita Kord dormitory she stopped, "And thus concludes the campus tour portion of our afternoon. Next up, the important things like the basement lounges in the dorm." Silently, Vicky was glad the tour was almost done. Since her powers had emerged she hadn't walked so much at one time, leaving her legs feeling like they were on fire.

Vicky appeared in a plume of crimson and white smoke a few feet over the blue mats in the school's gym, maybe two yards to Gwen's left. Landing in roll she sprang to her bare feet dressed in her purple tank and baggy black pants. "Hey Gwen," the teleporter greeted as she pulled her long white hair back into a loose ponytail, "Hope I'm not late. Leave it to a teleporter to be late for nearly everything." She tossed her gym bag off the mats and a few feet to the side of Gwen's bag before beginning her own stretches. "Nice training ensemble," she complimented her opponent for the afternoon.

"Thank you John," Vicky said at the blond's compliment, then pulling a small wallet from her pocket held a couple twenties up for Morgan, "However I'm not sticking you with my tab. What I'm ordering will probably cost as much as the rest of you combined." To Morgan she added, "Let's add a dozen medium boneless buffalo wings too." "I guess if covert ops falls into my purview, I should probably work on my control and accuracy with the energy blasts," she said, powder blue energy with ripples of black playing over and across one upturned palm.

Vicky, having finished the tasks she was required for and wisely staying out of the way of everyone else while the did their jobs, sat on the ground by the growing mound of construction trash with a giant bottle of fruit punch Gatorade in one hand. "Congratz Gwen, your first major project at Claremont is almost done," the white haired teleporter said to the vine covered red-head not far off as she slipped her black and white sunglasses into place. "I don't think I got to ask, what kind of plants are planned for this little hideaway once you get it up and running?"

Wisp leapt at Heavy Metal, hoping to distract him from the swordswoman. With a cry of primal rage as she drove her fist at the metal man's chest, "Get away from her you bitch!" When he seemed to shrug off the blow, once again, she grunted in annoyance and a bit of pain as her knuckles popped painfully against his radioactive flesh. She looked him directly in the eyes and muttered under her breath, "This is the part where you fall down." Oh yes Vicky, quoting a bad video game movie at him, that's sure to win this fight, she thought to herself with

The shotgun blast roared across the site. Wisp focused for a minute before calling up her will and teleporting to where she thought the sound came from, finding her feline friend bleeding on the ground. On pure instinct she placed a hand on his hip and refocused her will, getting them both as far away from the bastard with gun as she could. Which was handily just outside the sorcerous circle, "Shift, please tell me on that utility belt you've got a first aid kit of some kind. I'm sure you heard the blast but Jubatus got shot... I can't tell if it's buckshot, birdshot, or a solid slug..."

Okay, ignore the attack. Keeping Jube from having his brains scattered across the sands is much more important. I'll post IC shortly.

1) Hero points can cancel fatigue (page 121) 2) I could be mistaken but given how EE's being used in Mangled Metal, I was under the impression as long as she didn't switch to a different alternate power or back to the base, it was still available for the encounter.

"It was a solid tactic," Wisp said, honest admiration in her voice, "If I hadn't been trained since I could walk, that would probably have taken me out. If I might off some advice, some brass knuckles or something might be of some help." Before Lacuna could respond however, Wisp sprung into smokey action, delivering a series of jabs, kicks, and finishing with an over the shoulder roll, throwing the other woman several yards away. Catching her breath, she noted where Lacuna had landed. Kneeling down she checked on her to make sure she was okay before hefting her and waiting for the scene to ripple back into the ring so she could hand her over to the medical attendants. -
Wisp's knuckles cracked as she moved up to stand next to Push. She didn't have the kind of intimidation factor his glowing eyes and giant hammer did but she didn't want to let him stand unaided. She narrowed her unnaturally colored eyes as she looked at the lab-coated stranger and with her Russian accent thicker than she usually allows it to get began, "When he's done, I take pieces, put in creepy jar," she hooked a thumb at a tank where an almost fully grown man floated, "Then set building on fire on way out door."

"I prefer Vicky most of the time," she said side-stepping over to a couple small items with a handy label stating each weighed five hundred pounds. With just a minor grunt of effort she hefted one in each hand. "Loving it here. I miss being able to swing over to Gino's East whenever I feel like a high quality deep dish pie though. That aside, Claremont has been a nice place for me to get a fresh start. Plus, it helps there's several clubs here that are relevant to my interests. Took less than a weekend to get involved with the gaming club."

Unless I'm misreading the book, using EE for an alternate powers only causes fatigue on the one round after activating it. Continuing to use the Drain/strike 1d20+9=28. And now, the last HP on a Heroic Feat for a one-round use of Improved Critical on that. DC 26 drain toughness then DC 29 toughness save. Fort saves... 1d20+8=15, 1d20+8=13 and she's fine. Hopefully Heavy Metal isn't.

Vicky grinned at Crow's display, "Awesome. Does this mean your usual warning sign that a new student is on campus is done? I'm going to miss that tree." A few minutes and lot of smoke later, she'd finished 'digging' the foundation for the greenhouse. Dusting her hands she moved to the lumber and began picking up the large planks and moving them from the pile to where it would be needed around the site. As she approached Morgan and Corbin she winced watching her boyfriend smack his thumb repeatedly with the hammer, letting out a slight Russian curse of sympathy at the whacks.

"Oh... we weren't ordering individual pies?" "I'm guessing but I'm thinking he meant coverfire. Or blocking incoming fire given your force field. And John, you forgot one other role I can fill, recon. Training from a CIA and a KGB agent goes a long way towards helping in that department," she said, her eyes closed while she laid back. "Though, it might not be a bad idea for one or more of us to pick up some first aid training, if not for ourselves, then for any injured civilians." "That or see if John can make a working version of the Medi-Gun from Team Fortress Two," she added with a smile.

Vicky heard Zach's question. "Only during the school year," Vicky said as she noted the remains of lunch on everyone's plates. Grabbing the last burger, having downed the pie already, and said as she turned towards the exit, "Tour starts in five minutes after everyone's out front." As she walked towards the front doors she finished the burger, tossing the napkins she used to wipe the grease off her hands into a handily placed trash can. Once the group had assembled outside, "Well we've covered one of the dorm buildings. We'll get the basics of the school layout and then we'll worry about the important things like how to kill time during the summer."
-
As everyone rose to their feet Vicky stopped them, "Guys, hold up. You know Archer's been working me on this. Everyone hold hands." Once they had formed into a small circle with Morgan to her right and John to her left she closed her eyes in concentration as she called up her will. The boys' combined weight was obviously, if slightly, over her current 'no-effort' threshold so she needed a moment to concentrate. When she was ready, a large cloud of smoke replaced the four of them and seconds later they stood a little ways off from the front gate and gatehouse. Taking deep breathes as if she'd just run a mile she nodded with satisfaction. "And thus concludes my workout for today," she said with a smirk. Reaching into her pocket she pulled out her phone and tossed it to Crow before leaning against a nearby tree, "I'll take a pepperoni, sausage, and green pepper sheet pizza."

While they waited, Wisp had snuck back to the Starbase Coffee shop and snagged her and the others' bags before making the multiple-jump trip back to the building. It took far less time than she'd expected and she was hardly missed by her comrades. After being lead to the medical room and being shown Doctor Marks, Wisp breathed a sigh of relief, "That's good to hear Doctor. I wish we could have gotten Goanna locked up somewhere where he wouldn't be able to do this to Doctor Marks again. I don't suppose there's some way to, I don't know, inoculate her from further attempts of this nature?"
