The Jade Arenas of Heaven: Shock the Monkey [IC]
Azuth65 replied to trollthumper's topic in The Realms Beyond
Wisp's breath caught in her throat as Lacuna's impact knocked her forward a couple of steps. Unfortunately for the other woman, Wisp's parents had trained her well. She spotted the woman with delusions of ninja-hood and in another rapid series of blows and short teleport jumps she'd pummeled her opponent, each strike accompanied by a cloud of crimson and snow colored smoke that dissipated almost as soon as it formed. Not as effectively as before but enough to leave her rocking on her feet. Flipping her hair out of her face she replied, "I'd say, not half bad." -
Vicky released her traded grip with Gwen, "Nice to meet you." Glancing up at her boyfriend she shook her head to hide her grin at Morgan's attempt at Headmaster Summers' Look. Putting on her best poker face she called up, "No. I told him your teleportation ability seemed to have this strange attraction to the tree out here. When you guys vanished, he said we were done for the day and to be back at six tomorrow morning. And you two have another round to make up for this one." In another plume of smoke like the one she rode in on, she vanished from the ground, reappearing in the branches close enough to grab her boyfriend's foot and John's outstretched hand.

Well, if they're minions, Wisp'll take ten on the attack. Since Tiff's 23 hit, I assume mine does as well. DC 22 to 25 (depending on how much she beats their defenses by) toughness please.

The Jade Arenas of Heaven: Shock the Monkey [OOC]

1d20+7=19. Bruised and stunned. HPing to recover away the stun. Oh hey, Wisp's turn. Bruise is gone . Notice to find Lacuna, 1d20+14=29. 1d20+13=32 to hit, going to heroic feat improved critical on her unarmed. And for the 50/50 miss, 1d20=15 15 (base) + 7 (strength) + 3 (autofire) + 5 (crit) = DC 30 toughness from Lacuna. -
Victoria landed under the tree in a small plume of white and red smoke, still in her workout clothes, consisting of a pair of voluminous loose black pants and a tight tanktop in sky blue. Looking up at her boyfriend and their teammate she sighed, "Every time, eh Morgan? You want a hand down?" Noticing the other girl by the tree, "Oh, pardon my rudeness. Hello and welcome to our little sanctum of the strange," she said, offering a hand to her. "Name's Victoria, and you are?"

Wisp reached down, calling forth some of the energy she felt subtly empowering her physically. She made an active effort and called it into a solid beam of concussive energy and sent it lashing at the formerly human doctor's snake-like face in a light blue and black rush from her out stretched right hand. And stood slackjawed as he shrugged it off entirely. She gave a displeased sighed as more of the energy lingered in her eyes and she muttered, "That is so unfair."

1d20+7=15, Bruised. But now Wisp's up and so, she isn't (oh regen...) Now, I assume the bot's blast messed up some of those trees... Either way, Wisp's going to teleport behind and take a swing at the robot that just tried to blast her. 1d20+13=23 If it hit, DC 22 toughness please.

Wisp dove forward while Revenant mocked Heavy Metal, smoke still swirling around her fists. She shot forward with a left hook at his sternum before delivering a right cross to his jaw. While the first punch didn't have much of an effect, which should have been a grunt of pain as his body was almost teleported but stopped at the last second. The second punch though, made the metal monster-man flinch in pain. "What's the matter heavy, got lead in your fists? You're so freakin' slow..."

Blowing an HP to ditch the fatigue, going to try the drain+punch again. 1d20+9=27 Another DC 21 Fort + DC 24 Toughness from the metal man please. As for saves, Both fort saves for the round pass, 19 and 20 total
-
Not my intention lol.

"I'm with Jub, there's probably already a scientific name associated with the little guy," Wisp said, rocking the little monkey that'd fallen asleep in her arms. She moved up to the teleportation disc that would get them out of the alien ecosystem. "Is that thing ready yet? Aside from this rather oppressive heat, if I get back to the school after curfew, Headmaster Summers is going to give me so much detention." she stated, sweat all but pouring down her forehead.
-
Each room does have them but I don't imagine they're nailed to the wall or anything.
-
Well, Wisp can be of help. You know, rearranging the bed/dressers/bookshelf, etc.
-
Wisp didn't need to be told twice. She poofed forward, delivering in a span of seconds a mess of punches and kicks to the ritualist's assistants. Back and forth she bounced, delivering a haymaker to the one before vanishing to deliver a series of quick jabs to the second's kidneys only to reappear in mid-air before the second one drop kicking in squarely in the chest. Before she'd dropped to the ground she'd poofed again and the sound of her boots connecting to the second's jaw as she launched upwards. When she was done she returned to her previous position, with only a slight sign of exertion showing in her heavy breathing. "Your turn," she panted.
-
Wisp's going to fire off a blast of her cosmic energy at the creep's face. 1d20+8=17 ...So glad his defense is a 16 while he's raging. That's a DC 27 toughness save.
-
Wisp moved quickly up to Heavy Metal, her fist swirling with the red and white smoke that usually accompanied her teleportation, instead she hauled off and decked the metal-man as hard as she could in his sternum. He gave a grimace of discomfort as her attempt to scramble his atoms with a partial teleport. Her smoke drifted around his body and... seemingly did nothing to him. "Well, crap in a bucket," she muttered, standing in front of a guy who could easily swat her down like a shoe on a roach.

More or less. Extra effort, though there will be HP expenditure on the fatigue coming her way. Also..., it is so unfair he keeps saving against my attacks .
-
Wisp's going to close to melee, and slap him. With a teleport based stunt. Drain Toughness ( Extra: Effects Objects) 11 LINKED Strike (Power Feat: Mighty) 2 [24PP] (Teleport scramble) 1d20+9=19 So glad he's in solid form... And now, to save vs his drain. 1d20+8=15
-
1d20+8=13 ...IC hates me today. Blowing that last hero point for a reroll. 1d20+8=23 Need a pair of saves from the Jars, DC 28 each.

Wisp's skin crawled as they made their way through the sewers, more than one memory of this scenario being played out at the gaming table flashing in her mind. "At least we aren't likely to run into a Gelatinous Cube...," she half-muttered to herself as they trudged. Just as she finished the words when Glowstar pointed the noise he heard out. Before she could completely ready herself, they were under attack. Wisp dodged the first attacker's claw strike but the second attack caught her across the cheek. It bleed for a few seconds before the wound closed itself as if it had never been. "No. Just, no," she said and in a plume of smoke vanished only to reappear behind each of the attackers. She punched the first one several times and watched with satisfaction as it's eyes rolled back and it fell back, unfortunately the second one was made of sterner stuff and managed to roll with her strikes well enough to avoid taking serious damage.

Wisp let out a startled gasp as the trees swallowed up the armored woman she'd just delivered a series of strikes to. Noticing the tree limb swinging at her like a giant bark and leaf covered fist, she calmly rolled out of the way at the last possible second. Noticing something not unlike a woman's face behind a camouflage field not unlike the one used by the alien in that Arnold Schwarzenegger movie as she did, she looked towards it once jumping back to her feet. "Is that the best you've got? A slow tree and some vines?" Finishing her taunt, light blue and black energy shot from her hand towards the woman's face she'd just seen.
-
1d20+7=11 ...Screw you Invisible Castle. Blowing an HP for a reroll. 1d20+7=14 Plus Hero Point bonus = 24. So, one bruise that goes away now that I'm up anyway. Since these are minions, Wisp'll take ten and power-attack -3 atk/+3 DC on a goonsweep. DC25 from each please.
