  1. Wisp followed behind Changeling, breathing through her mouth and still feeling like her breakfast was going to come rushing up violently. "Oh God. I was expecting it to be horrible but this smell is like getting smacked in the face with a crowbar." As they moved, despite the boots keeping the much from actually touching her, Wisp couldn't help but think to herself, The smell is never going to come out of this costume. Pushing that thought to the back of her mind, she soldiered on, keeping her eyes peeled for any sign of the reptile.
  2. Notice: 1d20+14=30 plus Master Plan so, 32. [edit] Attack on cloaked chick, 1d20+8=11 ...Stupid IC. Hero point! 1d20+8=24 plus master plan, 26.
  3. The small cut she'd received from the second round of spike had already stopped bleeding before healing back into perfectly healthy flesh, though her costume's sleeve retained the rip by the shoulder. Wisp followed Torque's light and narrowed her eyes. In a poof of the smoke that accompanied her teleports, she was in front of the spike thrower. Her fists flashed out, catching her attacker in the midsection several times before driving a knee into other woman's stomach. "Loser huh?" Wisp snarked at the stunned woman. "I'd say my training was better than yours."
  4. 1d20+7=19 So, a bruise. Which will be rectified next time Wisp's up...
  5. Wisp, while not fully understanding the science behind the display she felt a new wave of guilt for how she'd failed to protect the woman at the cafe. She nodded her head in agreement. "Probably," she agreed. "Wouldn't surprise me if he set his lair up in the sewers directly under ASTRO though. Or her home, one or the other because he'd want to be as close to her as possible right?" She tucked her hair back and cracked her knuckles. When she spoke her voice was cold as ice, "Let's find this scaly bastard."
  6. As Torque's bike roared down the road, Vicky managed an effort of will with a trick she'd been practicing. In a plume of smoke that was quickly left behind, Vicky's clothes were instantly replaced by her superhero costume. Wisp's hair whipped wildly as they rode down the street. When he'd parked the bike, she'd begun to pull her snowy locks back so it wouldn't get in her eyes. "Yeah, this is a fairly obvious one. First step though is drawing their attention to me and away from civilians," she said. As they split up, Wisp flitted from group to group around the park, urging them to go out of dodge. As she did, she could almost feel eyes on her back and it made the hair on the back of her neck stand straight up.
  7. 1d20+15= 21 stealth, 1d20+14=16 notice If Master Plan is in effect, make it 24 and 19.
  8. Vicky jumped to the side of the spike that had almost landed right where she'd been standing. Hearing the voice she felt her temper rise, "Okay. Whoever that was, their mouth just wrote a check that their ass can't cash." It took more than a modest amount of willpower not to just teleport after their attacker and try and beat some answers out of her. Her training at Claremont and more specifically the recent sessions with Mr. Archer helped her ignore her impulses. Looking for a handy place to duck in and change into costume Vicky's hushed voice reached Cole, "You bring your 'tux'? And how fast can that road monster of yours go?"
  9. In a quick plume of her sanguine and snowy smoke, Wisp had changed into her costume. She stuck her bag in a shadowy nook of the roof so it wouldn't be in her way nor discovered while she was separated from it. In another poof of her smoke, she vanished and reappeared landing next to Revenant, her ruby red eyes scanning for signs of trouble moving closer than the location she'd seen the lights coming from. "Revenant, hey. Good to see you again. Um, trouble's about and I could use a hand if you're up for it," she said, tugging her shoulder length hair into a loose ponytail as she spoke. To the taggers she pointed in the opposite direction of where the lights and howls had come from. "Get scarce. Get someplace public, stay there."
  10. Wisp followed Glowstar's hand and nodded slowly, "Maybe not in one shot but I should be able to manage it." Flexing her muscles a little she said to herself, "So glad I've been working out. I can carry us both, been pushing my weight limit lately," Wisp said before nodding towards the lizard-woman in her arms, "My hands are a little full at the moment so you'll need to grab my shoulder." Once Etain had, they vanished in the usual smoke plume, reappearing several buildings down the block and repeating the process to the ASTRO Labs front door, looking for security or a handy employee to make space in a high security room.
  11. "Indeed she shall," Wisp said, vanishing in a plume of crimson and snowy smoke. Gotta make this fast, she thought to herself just before disappearing. When she reappeared she did so behind Lacuna, driving in fist into the woman's kidney and vanishing again only to reappearing in the middle of a handspring, launching her feet at the other woman's face. Several more super-humanly strong kicks, punches, and elbow strikes were launched and slipped past the defenses Lacuna had been able to raise. When Wisp landed back where she'd started from, she could already see a bruise forming on the French woman's face where her boots had struck home.
  12. 1d20+11=31 Base DC 15 + 7 (strength) + 5 (power attack) + 5 (crit) + 3 (autofire) = total of 35 toughness save for Miss Lacuna.
  13. I meant that I had no more HPs, not that I wasn't spending it. Should have worded that better.
  14. I'll do the former and edit the IC in a minute. No more HPs for now...
  15. Wisp walked over to Dr. Mark's unconscious form and scooped her up gingerly. "Okay, let's see if they have a more secured room for her," she said grimly. She was a little worried about hurting the doctor but right now she was more worried about the now reptilian woman waking up too soon and clawing her face off. "I hate hospitals," Wisp muttered as she walked to the elevator used for bringing air-lifted patients down to the doctors, "Something bad always happens when I'm around one."
  16. Reflex: 1d20+8=28 Not sure if improved evasion applies to non-damaging AEs. If so, super, Wisp avoids it. If not, she's down too... Will: 1d20+7=13
  17. Wisp gathered her anger and pain into a tight little ball. As soon as Fulcrum had knocked one of the machine's flat on it's back, she pounced. Her teleport brought her a few feet above the destroyer's head. As she fell, odd light blue and black energy began to swirl around her hands and in her eyes. With a cry of rage, she drove a fist into the machine's face. The machine's steel body let out a horrible shriek as metal was torn apart by cosmic energies. As soon as it had begun however, Wisp's assault was concluded and the only trace she'd even attacked was a fist-shaped dent in the machine's face, the spiderweb of cracks branching out from it, and a cloud of red and white smoke which quickly dissipated in the wind. Landing back in her previous spot she looked at her glowing hands. "That... was impressive. How'd I do that?" she wondered aloud.
  18. Wisp looked over at her new fuzzy friend and spoke softly, "This might be a little odd for ya but it won't hurt. Promise." Calling up an effort of her will, two two vanished from the tree limb and landed next to Supercape and the teleportation disc. Thankfully, the little space monkey didn't seem too freaked out as it grabbed another leaf and chomped lazily. To Supercape she said, "Okay, let's get gone. There's a quart of ice cream at home now that's suddenly calling out to me."
  19. "A few things," Vicky admitted, "Can't say I wouldn't mind being able to just will my laundry from the machines in the basement to my dresser, let alone sending dangerous super-villains far from civilians." As they matched Janis all the way to the building, she continued with a slight smile, "Back home, I used to practice my teleporting by 'jumping' from one end of the house to the other. The first few times..., well let's just say I was glad I was home alone, though I think my ex might not have minded."
  20. "Yeah, it was a thought," Vicky said. She slipped her booklet of finished stories back into her bag before sliding out of the booth, "So, Cole, back to the school? Before Old-Man Summers finds out where gone and gives us detention on an epic scale? Or should we tempt fate a little more? If we're doing the latter, I know a Bromwell's nearby I'd like to run into real fast. I'm running low on ink and pencils."
  21. Vicky's sympathy for the boy grew, she barely had any real advice of her own to give. "Well, there's the occasional trip up to the Boardwalk, Ocean Heights over in Port Regal, the aquarium across the South River in Riverside Park, and a handful of other dating hotspots around town," she explained. "Actually, I've heard some good things about Ocean Heights." "Here's what I'd suggest Cole," she said, "Offer to do some training with her, if you two get along, ask her to join you on a trip to the mall next Saturday night."
  22. Victoria shrugged, "No, I'm afraid France is a bit out of my range. My personal best is three football fields, give or take a yard." At Janis' call of wanting to race, she nodded and held out a hand to Caresse. "I'll need to be touching you to bring you along," she said, "Skin contact isn't necessary but I do need to be holding onto at least part of anyone 'poofing' with me." Taking Caresse's hand, they were at the base of the tree Janis had been in, keeping pace with the young fulminokinetic. As they moved towards the cafeteria, one jump at a time Vicky added, "I'm working on a way to teleport things and people at range but... that isn't working so well. Can't even get a pencil from one side of my desk to the other. Might be a neat trick to pull on an opponent I can't get a handle on."
