Would a teleporter with peak human strength count as a bruiser? Either way, Wisp's fairly interested.

"Thank you Headmaster," Vicky said and lead the exit from his office. Once outside, she relaxed visibly. "Now that wasn't so bad. Though if the workout schedule you suggested is as bad as you just described, Morgan, I think he'll be fairly annoyed at me when I go through a week's worth of the school's pantry..."

Wisp let herself get lost in the atmosphere of Starbase before spotting her classmates and appointment for the afternoon. She narrowly avoided colliding with another customer and spilling his coffee across her new shirt. When she reached the table she slipped her messenger bag across the back of the chair, though she kept her sunglasses firmly in place. "Sorry I'm late, got held up after art and I missed the bus," she said as she sat down. Extending her hand towards the doctor, "Thank you for taking the time Doctor, I'm Victoria Knight." When Etain mentioned ordering she nodded, "Oh yeah, something frozen might be nice."

Wisp's going to do another goon-sweep style attack. Free action: Power-attack -5atk/+5tough Standard action: 1d20+8=18, pretty sure that hits Einherjar 3 and Ritualist for 15 (base) + 7 (strength) + 5 (power-attack) + 2 (autofire bonus) = DC 29 toughness save. Sadly, as 'Jars 1 & 2 unstunn on my action, I miss them entirely.

Vicky felts her blood run cold and her stomach do rather uncomfortable flops. Steeling herself she met the headmaster's eyes, "I screwed up and will face the consequences. Though, I don't recall what the guidelines would be in the book. Lacking that memory, I will abide by any ruling you hand down on the matter." I hope I haven't just signed my death warrant... Maybe he'll go easy on us and only make us write [/i'I will not sneak out for solo patrols/invasions to faerie' on a blackboard several hundred times, she thought to herself, trying to keep her thoughts off her face.

Wisp boiled in her costume. Inwardly cursing herself for not designing a more heat-friendly costume as a backup. While the environment they traveled was beastly and uncomfortable, the local fauna was beautiful. It almost made her want to make a few sketches to take home. However, since the three of them were on a mission, she settled for trying to memorize what she could of the strange plants and animals. Then she heard the hissing of angry insects and looked down to see what appeared to be beetles scurrying up and around their legs. As quietly as she could, she 'poofed', leaving in her place a plume of white and red smoke and confused insects.

Vicky followed her boyfriend into the Headmaster's office, her hands behind her back. The worst he can do is expel us... Which would send me back to Chicago, where I had been suspended due to jerks. Okay, let's try and not screw this up, she thought to herself. Before she could even utter a word Morgan blurted out what she assumed he hoped would deflect blame from her and their friends. "Actually, it was mine. I, um, stepped out on a short patrol because I couldn't sleep. On my way back, Brannagh snuck up on me and carted me off to faerie before I knew what was happening. Next thing I remember is standing before what looked like my old my old school's auditorium, giving a speech and 'Overshadow' breaking in."

Wisp stumbled slightly and almost tripped on a tree root sticking out of the ground after the trio appeared on the alien moon. Instinctive use of her own teleportation saved her from faceful of non-terrestrial dirt, letting her regain her balance a few feet away from the offending tree's roots. "I swear, I will never get used to other people's teleports," she muttered as her eyes adjusted to the strong ambient light. Waving the smoke of her teleport away she reached into her bag and grabbed a bottle of water, downing nearly a quarter in one go. "We'd best make this quick, I'm boiling and I didn't pack enough water for an extended trip," she said, replacing the bottle.

Vicky took slow, deep breaths as she walked with her boyfriend as well as Brian and John towards the administration building. She wasn't as worried as the others, given she had the excuse of being kidnapped for missing the deadline on her sequential art project, still, she didn't like the idea of being called into the Headmaster's office. "So, you think he's got a pack of Reavers on hand?" As they entered the building to find his door open Vicky muttered under breath, "Well, that's not ominous or creepy or anything..."

The Jade Arenas of Heaven: Shock the Monkey [IC]
Azuth65 replied to trollthumper's topic in The Realms Beyond
"Hey," she replied, kind of lamely. Vicky's own rapidly spreading blush mirrored her boyfriends as she took her seat. She ate to cover the blush from the others at the table, though her hands shook with pent up excitement from the night before. She had spent half her morning humming to herself and replaying memories but now in the dining hall her mind was almost blank sitting next to Morgan. As she finished her plate she started getting a little antsy, looking for their simian-sage host to share the details, lest anyone ask questions she'd rather not answer. -
Wisp would be up for more threads.

"Actually, it was a moon. Though, it orbited a gas also called Endor... Sorry, my nerd is showing. Carry on." "Right, don't suppose anyone in the building is working on super-bug spray by chance? If so, I'd happily test it for them." "You make a good point," Wisp noted as she weighed the facts. "Um, Jube, no offense but it might be best if you stayed back if this thing isn't sentient though. I'm sure you've noticed but when you talk, your fangs are pretty visible, something that is almost guaranteed sure to freak out something on the middle ground to lower range of the food chain," she added as tactfully as she could.
-
Wisp's revulsion grew by leaps and bounds as she watched the video. She nearly jumped out of her skin as the door opened spilling out the ritualist and his cohorts. "Normally, I'd try for a witty jab here but I'm too sickened to think of a joke," she started. Steeling her resolve she brought up her will and in the blink of an eye, the villains were surrounded by several puff of white and crimson smoke, the sounds of punches and kicks came from behind the quickly dispersing smoke. "So, let's just skip to the punchline," she finished, returning to her starting point. Inwardly, she groaned and made a mental note to pay more attention in the witty banter portion of combat training.

Vicky sat back, dumbfounded by the events that transpired as well as a little frustrated by her need to keep her identity secret. A wave of nausea fought to bring her lunch back up as she watched the young man reform from the floor and seconds later was turned to ash. Okay, this has officially gone from bad to worse, she thought to herself, grimacing. Hearing that Jube had a plan, she breathed a slight sigh of relief and forced herself to maintain her cover of a 'normal teenager'.

Move Action: fast-acrobatic bluff. Standard Action: goon-sweeper AE attack. 1d20+15=17, 1d20+13=30 Even without the bluff, I beat their toughness. By several so that's a DC 25 toughness save from the big bad and his flunkies.

"Short version, he was a psycho who fanned the flames of the 'red scare'. My mother, having moved her from Moscow towards the end of the Cold War had more than a few visits from governmental types." As Cole and Caresse entered the building she turned to Morgan, a sly look in her eye, "You know, they'll probably be in there for about an hour and Janis is out for most of the day. Want to come back to my room and watch a movie while they finish paperwork? Afterwords, we can raid the cafeteria and make the kitchen staff weep in terror."
-
Wisp watched the display, listening to Supercape and Jube discuss the matter. When her feline acquaintance paused in his questions she tried to think of any, "So it's more or less Endor, minus the planet-killing space station in orbit. Any predators we should keep an eye out for? Poisonous vegetation or, worse yet, animals that might make our lives difficult? I doubt there are any sentient lifeforms living there, otherwise why call us, but that's something else to worry about. More so if we're talking space pirates, we'd need a could space ninjas for them." When no one even cracked a smile at her joke she sighed, "Nobody appreciates my humor."

I imagine the plan is to mostly gloss over the play itself, instead focusing on character interaction until some sort of whacky hijinks ensue. Such as the play becoming reality temporarily or somebody looking like Lon Chaey messing with production. Or perhaps the Robot Devil interrupts to get his hands back from the musical director. Then again, these are all massive assumptions on my part.

While Jubatus was collecting the tools turned potential weapons, Wisp was teleporting around various vantage points around and above the crowd. Well, at least they don't seem hostile. Though, that could certainly change in a heartbeat. she thought to herself as she landed on the roof of their 'command center' in a cloud of crimson and white smoke.

Vicky nodded at Peter, "I don't think we've had a chance to meet. Good name." At the flowers stunt, she could almost hear Morgan's teeth grinding next to her. To the students Vicky said, "Okay then, well, let's get out of their way so the newbies are signed up. I've got some free time and a summer art project to finish so while they finish the paper work, I'll try and get some more sketches done. Also, Caresse, give a yell if you need a hand moving a couch or bed or something while setting up your room." As John politely excused himself she called to him, "We still on for some Halo Deathmatch later?" At Cole's comment on government types, she nodded her understanding, "Yeah, I've had a few at my home before. Long story, short version... are you familiar with Senator Joe McCarthy?"
-
Oh yeah Wisp is in. My first thought is of her taking Andre's role as the strong-"man" of the group.
