"Yes, Father." She said, not looking up. "The spirit of a warrior burns within you, Mali." He said. "I should have realized that something like this would happen. You drove yourself harder into your training. I thought your enthusiasm was responsible. I was wrong." His tone was neutral, flat. She couldn't tell what it was, what his mood was. She just wanted his gaze to lower and her punishment to come. "How come no one ever questioned such a young girl fighting crime?" "I...I lied about my age, Father." She said, not raising her eyes. The shame in her dishonesty was blatant. She hoped he understood her reasons. A girl of 16 would not be considered seriously. "I am not happy." He said, finally. "You have lied to me many times. You have used the teachings I taught you for self defense against others. You have presented yourself falsely to others. Why? To fight crime? To beat people up?" "Because there are bad people in this world." She said, nervously, but frankly. "There are bad people in this world, and good people. The good need protecting."

"Dad I..." "How long?" "Since I got my license, I..." She stopped herself. No excuses, no defenses. She would present herself and her activities frankly and honestly. It was what she deserved. He was her teacher, her father, respect was demanded. "So..." He pursed his lips. He was a man in his early forties, in prime physical condition. For a financial advisor, he was quite capable of fighting. It was he that had taught her everything she knew about fighting. "What am I to do about this?" "I...I have failed you, Father. She said, lowering her eyes, refusing to look at him. I have failed you as a daughter, and a student." Though she looked down, she could feel his eyes burning a hole in her. She was humiliated, angry at herself. Truly, she had been in the wrong. She did not regret becoming a hero, merely deceiving her parents. She'd done a lot of good, but now was not the time to defend herself. Now was the time to defer to her father's wisdom and any punishment. He was always fair to her, he would let her have her say. "Those tales I told you when you were a girl." He said, softening his tone. "They really struck you, didn't they?"

Two muggings, an assault attempt, and a convenience store robbery. Tonight had been a good night for Crimson Tiger, aka Benjawan Mali. She snuck into her basement 'lair' and quickly undressed. Her father had allowed her to deck out the basement as a gym, with showers and such. He wasn't aware of what she was really doing in there. He knew she bought a motorcycle, but not that she had a second, custom bike built. She walked up the stairs, alert, alive, excited, but tired. It had been a good night for her. "Mali..." She heard the voice. It was quiet, angry, disappointed. She instantly lowered her eyes. Her father had probably caught her coming home late. She'd just have to apologize. "I'm sorry I'm late, dad..." She said, turning to shut the door. "I just got caught up in..." Her eyes went wide. Laying at her father's feet was one of her spare masks. She instantly backed towards the door, breathing heavily. When had he found it? What was he going to say?

Youth'ed by AA Changes to Crimson Tiger; Reduce her age to 16 and her birth year to 1995 so she can attend Claremont. Her TOU save should be lower than it is, so please take one of my 2 PP I have available and add it to her base save, which should bring her to +2 CON/+4 base save. Also; her Charisma bonus is not actually included. It should read have a +1 Charisma bonus, not +0 Thank you in advance.

"Oh, it's just giant flies...GIANT FLIES?!" He shouted, jumping back. They were disgusting, hideous, and flying in the middle of a hospital! He was sure that doctor would be even more angry about flies in her hospital, talk about a sanitation risk! Ah, well, it was hardly his fault. He gathered energy through his body and let current flow from his body into the nearest insect. The energy flowed from him into the fly. The fly's body shook for a few seconds, and then fell to the ground. He looked at the other three warily. This attack could not have been a coincidence. It was evident that his ideas and theories were likely true; someone was performing dangerous experiments. He only hoped that they weren't making something even worse than giant flies.
-
I'll do that then, rather than, well, try to roll for saves that will inevitably fail.
-
Okay, so, the book says that I can take 10 attacking these flies, and it also says that they're automatically knocked out. They also have to roll a 21 in order to stay conscious, (which they can't do). So do I just describe my turns rather than bother rolling?
-
This was really, really unexpected, got a 21 on initiative
-
Voltage gets an 11, not much better
-
Would it be entirely possible that, in the sudden confusion of that attack, Voltage costumes-up? I have quick change

Going to edit my post to include those results

"Another hospital would be best." He said. "I don't have a hide out or anything like that." "If you put him in an ambulance, I can escort it to another hospital, flying over it. If they make an appearance, I will know about it." He said. "I don't know if I'll be able to ask him any questions, but we'll have to see if he wakes up." He knew they wouldn't have much time left. Whatever happened, he had to know what this guy knew, and what was going on. He was also still concerned about his brother. Sam, unfortunately, might have to wait a bit. He'd find his brother, and stop whatever was going on. "What is that sound?" He said, looking around. It was coming from the window. He walked over to the window, and looked out it.

Surprisingly enough, got a 17 on the notice check

This, well, this sucked. He was stuck in a bank, with bad guys, and would have to figure a way out of the mess. He lowered his head, but for a moment. His mind reached out and found a nearby wireless signal. Hacking into it effortlessly, he then went online and checked every resource he knew about for information on these individuals. He gathered a great deal of information on them, and sighed, this was going to suck even worse. He had to get them away from the civilians, put on his costume, and then defeat them without anyone knowing who he was, and all while under the constant gaze of them. This was beyond annoying.

Using the Computers skill instead of Gather Information as per Online Research; gathering information on the Katanarchists, got a 39

Voltage washed his hands quickly and made his way into the room. He gazed down at the injured man and sighed. This wasn't going to help. He had no way of questioning him at the moment. The guy looked in rough shape, but Voltage was encouraged to hear that he could very well recover. He didn't want to see him dead. "Alright, where can we move him?" He asked. "Another room? We still have quite a few minutes, I think, but not a lot of time. Where should we move him?" His head nodded downward briefly as his mind began to race. His powerful mind began to churn through dozens of scenarios. In nearly all of them, he realized that confronting the boss directly was highly probable, and quite unwanted. He'd have to be careful not to destroy the scrubs. This was a risky move no matter what he did. He also realized that this guy probably would not want to shoot up a hospital. Maybe question the man, see how he was doing, but not go on a rampage. Even if he did, it was a hospital, he'd be put in prison, for life, for that. No, Voltage realized, this was a different sort of visit. If they were going to kill him, they would do so later tonight, when the likelihood of getting away with it would be higher. Despite going through dozens of scenarios, only a few seconds had passed. "Alright, where is safe to move him?"
-
He rolled his eyes and ducked into the changing room. It only took a few seconds to slide his costume off. He grabbed a nearby bag and stuffed it in. Then he changed into the surgical gown and mask. He only had a few minutes. Move the patient, talk to him, confront the mobsters and prevent them from killing him. Whether or not Spiderbite was a jerk is irrelevant. The guy was not going to die, not while Voltage stood. That's what being a hero means. He looked at a mirror and grinned. Only his regular mask was even visible. Nobody here would recognize him. Still, he worried that this surgical gown would burn off of him if he used his powers too much. Ah, the risks of the job. He slid a pair of gloves on and stepped out. He really must look like an idiot, but hey, that's not why he went into heroics. Of course, looking cool did help.
-
Voltage sighed. Hospital policies existed for a reason, but still, what was he going to do? His costume protected him from harm. At least this time he could use his powers in full. However, he did realize that the boss had recently seen his face, as had Spiderbite. He could wear full surgical get-up and cover his distinctive prematurely-gray hair, making it less likely that the guy remember him. "Okay, hospital policy is what it is." He said. "Two conditions, I get the full surgical mask, and I get to keep my own mask. That alright?" He asked.

Thomas Morgan hated banks, he honestly did. It was the single most annoying thing he had to do on a weekly basis. Sometimes, his father would ask him to deposit some money on behalf of the store. This annoyed him, mostly because he hated lines. When your mind works faster than a computer, boredom can come quickly. He entertained himself by surfing the internet absentmindedly with his mind, reading up on some technology news. "Yes, I would like to make a deposit on behalf of Morgan Computers. He said, smiling, despite his frustration and irritation at the bank environment.

"I stumbled across a broken PC with a lot of bad stuff on it. Experiments and such. It belonged to the guy who's in the room there. I've got good reason to believe that they're coming to 'talk' to him, maybe even kill him. I need to talk to him while he still might be lucid. It could be a drug ring for all I know." Voltage looked at the two officers, entreating. He'd beaten the men here by a long shot, but he didn't have forever to talk. They would be here sooner or later.

CURRENT ALTERNATED BY GIZMO Edits for Voltage; Adding Magnetic Control, Insubstantial, and Confuse to his Electrical Control Array Taking 4 PP away from Quickness Adding Immunity: Electrical Effects Notice two errors; I paid for my base power in Electrical Control twice and ended up making the Array more expensive than it should have been. I also put 15PP down for cost of Feats when it was really 13 PP. That's 3 PP I lost in character creation, oops. So, 6 PP from my rewards, plus the 3 I got from correcting those errors, plus the 4 I pulled from Quickness pays for 3PP worth of Array additions and a 10 PP immunity. I also corrected a tiny typo in his Bio section (listed his powers awakening before 16th birthday, corrected it to 18th), added a bit to his bio to liven it up New sheet is thus; Player Name:Thunder King[floatr][/floatr] Character Name: Voltage Power Level: 10 156/156 Trade-Offs: None Unspent Power Points: 0 Progress To Bronze Status: 6/30 In Brief: Super smart electricity controller Alternate Identity: Thomas Morgan Identity: Secret Birthplace: Freedom City Occupation: Computer Tech/Student Affiliations: Fellow employees, classmates Family: Father James, mother Laura, brother Samuel Description: Age: 18 (DoB:April 9, 1993 Gender: male Ethnicity: Caucasian Height: 5'11" Weight: 155 Eyes: Blue Hair: Gray (side effect of mutation) Voltage is nearly six feet tall and slim but fit. He keeps his gray hair at near shoulder-length. His costume is all black. There are silver accents on each glove and on his boots that look like lightning. Across his chest streaks a silver lightning bolt. Power Descriptions: Voltage's electricity powers manifest as a silver color. When he teleports, his teleportation has an electric effect. If it's short range, the electricity flows to the spot he's teleporting to. If it's long range, it just vanishes. In both cases he reassembles from the energy at destination. History: His parents, James and Laura Morgan, lived in California where James was a researcher at a corporation. James was diagnosed with cancer, and after doing research discovered that the company was experimenting on it's employees illegally. James was treated for cancer successfully and they sued the company along with other employees. The company went under, and James and Laura moved to Freedom City. After moving to Freedom City, they had their first child, Thomas. He lived an ordinary life as an ordinary child until shortly before his 18th birthday, when he accidentally electrocuted himself trying to fix a computer. It was a severe shock, but put him in a coma for reasons doctors did not understand. The coma lasted only four days. On the fourth day, the nurses entered the room and discovered that the walls had been scorched with black marks all over the wall. Thomas was standing in the room, seemingly unharmed. It was at this point that he discovered his powers. Some time later, he constructed his costume and debuted as the new hero Voltage. Personality & Motivation: Voltage is a bit arrogant and cocky, but that's more from age than anything. He's not quite used to the mental affects of his new powers, so he has trouble expressing himself sometimes. He used to only be a bit bright, but his new genius is staggering to him. He reacts to strange situations by trying to take control. He's okay with following others so long as they have an idea of what to do. He cannot stand being talked down to and struggles to bite his tongue if anyone does so. He's far more likely to act than react. Still, his heart is in the right place, and he wants to be a hero to protect the world. He defers to more experienced heroes and authority figures out of respect, so long as they don't treat him like a child. He tries to handle every situation with maturity, logic and intelligence. Sometimes this works in his favor, other times it doesn't. He does not hesitate and uses his new-found intelligence to assess every situation as best he can. Powers & Tactics: Voltage is acutely aware of his strengths and limitations. He knows he hits the hardest from a range, and doesn't bother fighting up close and personal unless necessary. He retreats from melee whenever he can. He takes advantage of his ability to control electricity from any angle to hit people in unexpected ways. He uses his intellect and radio detection to plan fights out ahead of time, gaining any information on his foes that he can. This gives him the ability to assess foes with speed and efficiency.

Complications: Secret Identity: Voltage continually protects his identity, especially as his list of enemies grows Family: He will not hesitate to defend his family Awkward Teen: For all of his intelligence, he's still Thomas Morgan, ordinary teenager. If I use it on the cops, can I keep the 15 I rolled? It's about as good as I can expect to get...
-
"He may have been shot by his own boss, which means that guy might be on his way here to finish the job. If I can talk to him, I can possibly get out of him what his boss doesn't want him to say. I was also going to stay behind and make sure the boss doesn't try anything, like shoot up a hospital. I'm not leaving until the boss does." He wanted to make sure she understood that he wasn't about to let this situation just sit, he planned on staying until the boss himself left.

Not gonna waste that HP, going for a second roll; Got a 15
-
Okay, I'm going to use a HP for beginner's luck and give me 5 ranks, so that's a +7 total bonus... And it wasn't enough, got an 11
