"We're not looking for a human. At least, not a normal one." John said. He himself was unnatural, so the fact the man in white didn't seem to be breathing vapor didn't bother him. He'd met all manner of freaks in Bedlam, and the rumor mill conjured terrors from thin air. He was alive, but somehow moreso, or not at all. He wasn't an expert on medicine or the supernatural. However, he was a former cop, and that training was very useful, especially here.

John's whole body tensed up as the two of them fought. He closed his eyes as the vision flooded his mind. A strange, clear view of what had happened. He walked over to the driver and bent down to examine him. "Preliminary review of the body suggests that the driver was beaten to death by a blunt object. Not an axe, not a bow, not a fist. A club, a police baton." He had been completely unaware of the fight, unaware that Arrowhawk hit Mr. Strix as hard as she had. "The killer was not a cop, not a real cop, anyway. Perhaps not even human."

Adam had no idea what language Leroy was speaking, but it sounded coherent enough. His new friends were somewhat strange. There was that, and the fact that Ashley seemed to know the solution to the current problem. He said nothing, though. He didn't know how she knew what she knew, but there could be any number of explanations. Ashley and Judy were somewhat strange. He was suspicious of how she knew what she knew. However, this was not the time to talk about that. With them lost and Judy's life in danger, now was not the time to throw conflict into their team. He'd keep his suspicions to himself unless there was a good reason to bring it up. Later, though. Now? A ship full of people and a strange place.

"Now that we've gotten that out of the way, we have a murder scene." He looked at the two of them. In Bedlam, there weren't as many costumed villains as there were in, say, Freedom City. John trusted no one, but he trusted his anonymity and abilities well enough. If things got ugly, he could just leave. "Bedlam is a bad place to be, but I doubt a murderer would be investigating the scene of their own crime." He looked around. "You don't know me, and I don't know you. Last time I trusted someone I died. Didn't stick." He looked down at the murder scene. "However, if we costumed freaks could keep our aggression pointed at the right targets, we might do something useful in this god forsaken town." "So, does anybody have any information on who we're looking at?"

Mali cracked her neck and stepped up to Ye Quan. "I'd like to introduce myself, I'm Crimson Tiger." her mannerisms were calm, but she gazed directly into his eyes. "I'm the one who tore down the false Black Tiger in Thailand. I've taken down more drug pushers, gangsters and thugs than you've ever met in your life. I recommend saying something useful to me. How scary do you think you'll be if they find out you got your ass beat by a couple of girls?"

"Well..." Adam said, cursing internally. "This is quite peculiar." He blinked. "I suppose we entered some sort of, I dunno, dimensional portal?" He glanced around. "Magical would be my best guess." Adam was a man of science, but he knew magic was real enough. He glanced around the area. "Yes, recon." he said with a certain nod. "Good idea. Need to get our bearings. Get an idea of what we're dealing with." he was very, very uncertain. His tactical knowledge was limited to whatever idle speculation he had. Leroy seemed to have a good idea of what they were dealing with, or at the very least a decent handle on the situation, so he let Leroy handle things. "A lack of electronic signals means we are most assuredly not on Earth, not ours, at any rate. Especially with that statue. I suppose our only order of business is to figure out a way back home."

Adam was lounging when he heard the message. He wasn't angry or frightened, merely confused. He looked around before spotting Lulu. He was confused, and curious. He motioned to her, hoping she'd see. Maybe she wanted to ask him a question? He was at the very least confused. So he stood up and walked over to her. "Um, hi?"

John had felt the nudges of the ghosts before, this was not that. He moved quickly, but quietly, up to the strange figures. One was dressed in white, the other was some blond with a bow. He had no idea who was who or what, but he had little to fear from them. So he appeared from the shadows beside them, trying his best not to look threatening. He had no idea who these people were, yet, and he'd heard too many rumors of other crime fighters in the area to go in swinging. If the blond shot him, he could always vanish, change his face, something. "Hello."

Adam sat back and worked on his notes, very pleased to see that his game was coming together quite nicely. It was going to be a fairly simple dungeon, a bit of combat, some exploration, a few locks to unlock and traps to bypass. All in service of teaching those who had yet to play the game how, and to give himself a kiddie pool to wade into first. "I do have some notes for continuing the game beyond the first session." He said after taking a drink of his Coke. "But I want to run something fairly simple at first to get people's feet wet and to make sure everyone is down for more. I won't hold it against anyone if they decide they don't like it."
-
Adam took off like a shot. He would have to be careful not to kill the person he was attacking. He wasn't afraid of being hurt, he was afraid of hurting someone else. He reached one of the thugs and lowered his arm, delivering a vicious shot to the stomach as he reached him. There he was, an oversized, out of his depth teenager, trying his level best not to be a liability. The thug collapsed unconscious at his feet as he stopped. "Hi, sorry I ruined whatever that was, but I'm here to help?" He was sheepish and trying to be useful.

"Something by Shakespeare, a very specific volume." Adam said, looking around a bit. "It is in this direction, but harder to find in the dark." He drifted towards the likely section. "Curse you Dewie." He had his contacts in, he didn't like that his eyes lit up in the dark. He was sure that would scare the hell out of Judy at least. She was kind to him, and he was grateful that few people at Claremont looked at him funny. He was a freak among freaks, and grateful for it.

It was at this point that Adam came flying through the air, crash landing in the sand some ten feet away from the other kids, managing not to kick up enough sand to get near them. He got up and stretched. He was a bit wet still, and slightly sandy, but otherwise entirely unaffected. "Oh, um, so, so sorry." He looked down sheepishly. "I don't get many chances to uh...stretch my legs as it were. I don't get to have fun with my, well, my powers. I wasn't, um trying to show off, just, well..." He clenched his fists, clearly trying to make himself calm down and relax. "Anyway, are you guys playing volleyball? I'll just watch. I..." He took a sidelong glance at the six or seven hundred feet he jumped from the ocean floor and hoped that would communicate how unfair he felt it would be.

With Ye Quan slowed down thanks to Jessica, Mali took off after him like a shot. She didn't know where the coward was trying to run to, but she didn't care. This guy had a lot to answer for, and he was not getting away. She ran towards the stairs and slid down the railing, keeping her eye on Ye Quan as her feet hit the floor below her. She took off in a dead run and leaped knee first into his back. Ye Quan sprawled out on the ground as she rolled back to her feet. She glanced down at him and back up to the stairs. "Don't want this one getting away." She muttered to herself, wondering if she should try to restrain him before rejoining her allies upstairs.

Mali bounced from foot to foot, before swinging up with a kick to Ye Quan's stomach. Her intent was to knock him for a loop, stun him and break his defenses. However, he seemed to roll with the kick and not do what she wanted. This one was frustrating her, seriously annoying her now.

Adam was checking his phone for an indicator of what temperature the water would be. Warm enough, he decided. Just warm enough. He'd be back, of course. He'd hang out with his friends and enjoy their company, he'd walk around, chat, etc. Now? The ocean was tempting him. "Sorry, guys, I'll be back in a few." He waved and briefly crouched into a starting position. He had been clocked at around a hundred miles per hour before, but this was on sand so he imagined he would be unable to go at full speed. Plus he wouldn't want to jump his full length because he didn't want to end up a mile into the ocean. He took off running, blitzing past his classmates before taking a flying leap into the ocean with an exultant laugh. He splashed down a few hundred feet into the ocean.

GROUP 1 "If someone comes to you and confesses that they're a spy, they're putting themselves at risk. It seems like it would be a strange tactic to reveal yourself to your enemy to try and get secrets." Adam sighed. "There were times in history when people were treated with cruelty and violence just for being different." He gazed down at his arms and remembered a certain novel. "With that said, it's important to keep an eye on people in that context. Not imprison them, just make sure they don't make any off-world contacts, and make sure someone isn't spying on them. Just because they're friendly, doesn't mean they're not being watched."

Gonna be an all-out attack on the nearest thug after a move action; 12 Not with that, though, gonna reroll with an HP 20 Better. That's a DC30 Tou save, assuming 20 hits the thug.
