  1. Hannah followed wordlessly. She knew neighborhoods like this existed, there were some in Chicago. She'd never been in one, and she probably wouldn't be here now if she didn't have powers, or personal protection. She had both, a force field that could stop...a lot of things, and the ability to protect herself besides. She wasn't totally comfortable, but she felt relatively safe. Besides, what kind of superhero would she be if she ran away from the shadow of a threat? "Lead the way." She said with obvious fake cheerfulness. She was going to see this through, even though she plainly looked concerned.
  2. Notice for Crimson Tiger; 12. Even she can't see why she likes Cinnamon Toast Crunch
  3. Hannah cursed under her breath. She had intended to try and drop that bomb as gently as she could. Quickly, she summoned a crude bucket construct near Winifred, ensuring that if she did empty the century-old contents of her stomach, she could do so in a sanitary fashion. She walked over to her. "I know it's upsetting." She said. "I can't imagine the changes you'll be facing." She tried to sound sympathetic. "I just, all I can say is that the world is very different now. That's a bad thing, but also a good thing. You may like some of the changes, you may not. But you won't have to face it all alone. You'll have friends." It was the cheesiest, stupidest thing she'd ever said, but she said it quickly, and maybe it was wrong, but it was honest, and she meant well. She hoped that stuck out.
  4. Well, it looked like there was already another hero on the scene. She decided she might as well dive in herself. She dropped down, just as Jack had, she got there just as he rattled off the explanation about magic, and the 'real thieves' might make for an interesting case. "So, got a mystery then?" she said. "Crimson Tiger, mostly patrol the Fens." she said to Jack, who was someone she'd heard of. "Or is this a case of mistaken identity?" She looked at Bombshell, and Jack. There was a sense of familiarity between them. Whomever this woman was, she knew Jack, and Jack new her. Did that make her an ally, or simply a less dangerous enemy?
  5. Hannah's up for getting dragged into anything, lol
  6. Hannah went along with it. She'd have loved to tell the pretty blonde that she didn't need to come along, but that wouldn't have been fair. Casey was well meaning, and Hannah herself had volunteered for what Robin had surely intended to be a solo trip. So she smiled and nodded. Besides, it was ultimately up to Robin to decide whether or not Casey would be okay to come along. Hannah rolled with the punches, couldn't blame Casey for being a pretty blonde when she was a rather plain brunette. So she headed off towards the bus station, change in hand. She had enough spending money to cover all three of them. If nothing else, her parents had made sure she'd have enough money for snacks, food, and any other reasonable thing she'd want. Frankly, it was the most money she'd ever gotten from her parents, at least as money.
  7. Hannah walked away. She was hovering in the background, watching the conversation, not saying anything. Watching everything just dissolve into hostility made her decide that maybe it wasn't a good idea to stick around. She wasn't a scientist, she didn't know magic, she didn't even know any of these people. She didn't have a side in the conflict. She just didn't want to be part of it. So, quiet as a mouse, she stepped away from the group and put her headphones back on. Looks like some things didn't change about school.
  8. Hannah read between the lines well enough. This wasn't a patrol, this wasn't visiting family. This was a humanitarian mission. Going to the Fens with stuff to give people who need it. Hannah smiled a slight smile to herself. Hero work, from what she could see, often involved stopping bad guys. Stopping the loss of life and property. It could also involve helping people in other ways, too. She liked that. "Well, um...if you'd like some help, I don't think there's anything better I could do than help people." She winced internally. Of course she'd put it that way. She must have sounded like the cheesiest thing ever. As Casey approached, she smiled and gave a little wave. It struck Hannah how pretty some of the people at Claremont were. She liked her new classmates well enough, but it was very unlikely that any boys would notice her with girls like Casey or Robin running around.
  9. She could buy cops at the museum. Someone might want to steal something, that could happen. But that many cops? Maybe someone really dangerous was trying to rob the place. Maybe one of the exhibits had come to life and went on a rampage. It was Freedom City, after all. Weird things were always possible. Even as she broke out into a run, using her grapple gun to get from place to place, she wasn't quite sure why she was going there. To help the cops? To satisfy her curiosity? Whatever the reason ,she was doing it. Time to see what was so damn interesting about this museum. It was probably best to stick to the shadows, at least until she could assess the situation. Wouldn't do to run smack dab into something that could turn her into a smear on the wall.
  10. It was by coincidence that Hannah spotted Robin looking for all the world like a peculiar brand of Santa Claus, looking over the lost and found "Hi." She said, somewhat quietly. "What's the bag for?" She asked. She was being a bit more bold than normal, for a moment, before correcting herself and saying. "Um, I mean, if you want to tell me. It's really none of my business. Um, lose something?"

  13. The way Winifred said 'in the Americas' gave Hannah pause. She was confused by her location and surroundings, and the age of the statue suggested that this poor girl had been a statue for a very long time. Hannah wasn't sure how long, either. They found the statue, but nobody knew when it was 'made'. To be displaced like that, lost in a time so unlike your own. "As far as we can tell, someone found you in the form of a statue and assumed you'd been carved. Then after a while you ended up in an art museum here in Freedom City." She looked at the other three girls. "Hey, could you guys help me with something at the other end of the bus?" She said, turning to Winifred. "You're not in danger, just relax okay? You'll be okay." They needed to break the news of this poor girl's inadvertent time travel, Hannah just wasn't sure how. With that, she started walking away from Winifred, hoping the others would follow.
  14. Well, Prism could be involved in the first Claremont thread, but she's not the best suited for the second. Crimson Tiger is my street level brawler, and she might make a good fit to run into Bombshell. So consider me interested
  15. Hannah took that moment to slink off and out of view. The situation was quite awkward, with all the other students staring. Of course, they weren't staring at her, but the poor unconscious girl who had recently been demonstered. To be a statue, for how long? She wondered if the girl had been aware in her condition, who had put her in that state. Her heart went out to her. Hannah's powers were relatively easy to deal with, she couldn't imagine turning into a monster like that. If anyone could help, maybe the school could. "I hope she'll be okay." She mumbled to herself.
  16. "She was very upset." Hannah said. "She popped out of the statue and started freaking out. Then she turned into a monster. We tried to keep her here, to stop her from hurting anyone else, or getting hurt herself." Hannah shook her head. "She didn't want to hurt anyone, she was yelling at us to run, but we didn't understand." She didn't imagine they'd get into any real trouble. The bit of mischief with the statue would have been no more than that, mischief, if it weren't for the statue turning into a real girl. They managed to stop her okay, all things considered. Hannah was a bit proud of her construct, though she wasn't sure if the monster would have been able to break it or not. She helped keep the monster off of her feet and helped defeat her. That was really all she could hope for. After all, nobody seriously got injured.
  17. Right on the heels of Raina's attack, Hannah channeled a blast of multicolored energy and fired it right at Alkahest. It was unlike what she'd done before, not a shape or a bubble, but rather a beam of energy. Hannah hoped to keep Alkahest staggered and unable to fight back and maybe, hopefully, end the fight without anyone getting hurt or any damage getting done.
  18. Alright, combination attack time; full power attack using the aid from Robin, that's a 22 for the attack and a 30 for the base TOU save due to power attack, as this is her blast this is also an autofire blast.
  19. With the civilians scattered, Hannah felt okay about dropping the barrier so she could concentrate her powers in other locations. She felt sorry for this poor girl, but they had to stop her, too. Whomever it was that transformed into this monster had wanted them to run, so she didn't feel so bad doing what she had to do to stop her. The barrier dissolved as soon as Hannah stopped concentrating on it, so she could redirect the energy to another purpose. She flew around to face Alkahest, and sent a concentrated burst of multicolored light directly at her eyes, like the flash without a bang. She hoped that would be useful, at least in helping Robin dodge a couple blows.
  20. Hannah's going to go for the eyes;17 rolled for a visual dazzle, DC20 reflex save if it hits.
  21. Hannah was grateful for her hoodie, that way if anyone took a picture it might not be clear enough to show her face. Whatever this poor girl had become looked strong, and she could help. She floated upwards away from the group and hoped the other girls could defend themselves. They had to protect the bystanders. A circle of shimmering lines appeared in mid air around the girls, it extruded upwards about ten feet into the air, and was about twenty feet from Alkahest. It looked like crystals of light, translucent, shimmering with shimmering colors. "I hope she can't fly." She mumbled to herself, hoping the wall would hold.
  22. Hannah is gong to use a move action to fly into the air, reasonably away from the action. Standard Action: Create object to form a circular wall around the group. 20 feet in diameter, centered on Alkahest. It has a toughness of 10.
  23. Hannah got a 23
  24. Hannah gasped as the girl emerged from the statue. She didn't know who she was, or why she was in that statue. She looked distressed, and dressed in rags. Hannah removed her hoodie and stepped towards the girl. "Oh my goodness, are you okay?!" She asked the girl, and the others. Everyone was freaked out, but she figured if she suddenly exploded out of a statue, she'd like something to wear. So she stepped forward with her hoodie outstretched as an offering, help preserve the poor girl's dignity, or what remained of it.
  25. Hannah didn't recognize the statue, but if it really was jade, it was a lot of jade. She knew enough to know that jade was very expensive. It would be very strange for such a large statue to be of an unknown origin. If indeed it was pure jade, which she wasn't qualified to determine. It looked like jade, at least to her unqualified eyes. She hoped that their fun wouldn't damage it. The craftsmanship was beautiful, even if the subject matter was disturbing. Sometimes art got like that, beautiful yet disturbing. "That statue is more than just weird. Jade doesn't usually come in such big chunks like that. It's probably extremely valuable, so please be careful." She said, not loud enough to call attention, but hopefully loud enough for the others to hear.
