  1. Solvrytter couldn't even pretend to understand what it was she just said. But, he trusted both of them well enough to know what they were talking about. "So the brigands have armed themselves with weapons above the norm for such as they." He said. "Means they are potentially more dangerous than your average brigand. Well, I suppose this means we should be more careful and circumspect."
  2. Mali nodded. "Yes, it's certifiably insane to do this, but so was putting on a red costume to punch thugs." She shrugged. "Gotta do what we gotta do. I don't know about you guys, but I fully plan on coming out of this intact, with the mission successful. This story is gonna have a happy ending. Because we're superheroes. Making happy endings is in our job description."
  3. Gonna use ultimate effort (toughness) to avoid taking a bruise or worse, since she'd need a natural 20 to avoid a bruise anyhow. So, natural 20 plus her current toughness save is 25, just enough to avoid a bruise.
  4. "Glad to be of help." Solvrytter said with a nod. "However, that begs the question. What did these men want with you? When they assaulted you, did they ask for something? Anything you can tell us can help us prevent future attacks, or even learn a way to take their band of brigands down." He did not know what, if anything, the man might know, but anything could be of serious help.
  5. 16 on initiative
  6. Solvrytter sidestepped the flame easily, moving left. As he shifted, he brought Forsynstang around to slam the staff into his attacker's abdomen, sending the man sprawling. Then, he shifted forward and slammed the flat of the blade against the side of another man's head. These men were not as well trained as he was used to fighting. They were awkward, somewhat slow, even easy. After their failure to notice Polarity and the speed at which they broke formation, he decided their threat level was probably minimal. Still, no point in taking unnecessary risks.
  7. Got a 20 on the reflex save And a 26 on the TOU save
  8. Cool, well, then I'm gonna take 10 for an 18 on the next guy, and only the next guy.
  9. So, Solvrytter's gonna charge in and smack whoever's closest with Forsynstang. As it happens, he got a 27. If that hits (and if it doesn't, he's doomed), its' a DC23 TOU save
  10. Super sense scan! Regular sight, infravision and ultravision. In order. I specified it in the dice roll post too. 17, 11 and 9
  11. Solar Sentinel capitalized on the strike and blasted the creature as hard as he could. A surge of azure energy poured from his body and rocked the Mi-Go. He felt, at long last, like he was contributing to the fight. He knew his power needed to grow, now. His presence in Freedom City, on Earth, made him realize that he had let his strength plateau. It was time to move forward, and upward.
  12. "The guy I'm seeing has a hotter than average body temperature. He's giving off a lot more heat than a normal human, and he has horns. Something tells me that this guy is not normal." Graft wondered what he'd gotten himself into. Couldn't be demons, could it? Could be some kind of demon, after all, he was in an alien battle suit, teamed up with whatever Pitch and Nick were. Selective obliviousness was a silly thing to have.
  13. This should at least hit. DC23 TOU save
  14. Mali said nothing to the villain. Mostly because she felt herself above petty, catty remarks. Even a remark about 'well, at least I'm not the catty one' went unsaid. Instead, she watched the villains carefully. She shifted, subtly, in front of the noncombatants. From what she could read of Breaker, he was no more inclined to let this get bad than she was. That was good. He was big, pretty strong. If nothing else he could handle himself if things got rough. Bonus points if he were earnestly on their side. Things could get tense, so she waited, very carefully.
  15. Mali was amused. She herself had never even left the Earth, but her crime fighting had taken her to alternate universes, and she had fought all sorts of foes. This was not a fight, though. She wasn't angry or on edge. She was in friendly territory. She could afford to relax a bit. She had a few younger chargers to watch out for, but they seemed to handle themselves well. She'd hardly 'seen it all' but she was a little more jaded than the others. But this was the moon. This was space. This was a place where there were aliens and moon monkeys and all sorts of strange and wonderful things. "Thank you so much for having us here." She finally said. "This is amazing."
  16. Meanwhile Gunnar is not scary at all 11
  17. Outrageously tall men with green mohawks do not get forgotten easily. So, it was with a mixture of confusion and trepidation that she looked at Breaker. Still, he was being good, in a manner of speaking. He seemed to be getting let out, so it was hardly her place to judge. Maybe prison had changed him. When the alarm went off, she didn't think it had been him, but she was slightly amused to hear him state it outright. So, she looked at the warden and the guards. "Think your guys could use a little help figuring out what just happened, and stemming the tide of convicts?" If they thought the situation was well in hand, she would stay to protect them from potential attackers. But she assumed she was the only hero in the area, and thus the only one the guards would be getting help from.
  18. Gunnar watched his two allies sneak off into the shadows. With street lights shining off of his armor and the ever present sounds of moving metal coming off of him, he knew that such tactics were pointless to attempt. So, as he was wont in his own world, he took a direct approach. He walked with deliberate, heavy steps towards the alley. He knew they could hear him. That was the intent. He drew forth Forsynstang, holding it casually in his right hand, a thinly veiled threat as the light sparked from the cold metal. "It's a harsh life, is it not?" He said in a clear voice, before he rounded the corner. "Taking the path of banditry. Abandoning duty and responsibility, throwing your lot in with brigands and outlaws. It's a short life, and full of violence." He stepped into their view. "Which, of course, is why I am here. Trouble that poor man no more, and tomorrow may find you with all your limbs unbroken."
  19. Haha, yeah, no, Gunnar does not roll good initiative. He got an 8
  20. Mali was a bit put off by the request, but she was amiable to it. After all, she might need to know what the layout of the prison was like some day, in case one of those super villains got their hands on the wrong device and either tried to break someone out, or break out themselves. In Freedom City, prison layouts were just practical knowledge. Even though she was no expert on technology, she kept her eyes peeled and her ears perked for any telltale information that might help in the future. Filing bits of information away for, well, nothing. Preparation, possible difficulties. She'd obviously never need to actually worry about a break out.
  21. Solvrytter took their gentle pokes in stride. Polarity was being her usual cheeky self, and he enjoyed that. Nevermore was someone he didn't know very well, but he respected him. He seemed like a good man, and had the kind of eyes that knew hardship. The kind of eyes that someone could only get if they had truly fought for something in their life. "That looks like what we've been waiting for." He said, gazing down over the area. "One thing I do like about this city on this strange world. If I'm ever eager for battle, I never have far to go or long to wait." With that, he waited for the two of them to react. He admired their easy grace and swiftness of foot. While he was forced to plod along in steel. He preferred the protection, even if it meant being slower.
  22. Mali cooperated with Chase's instructions easily and with clear understanding. She stepped near him and waited patiently. Still, she could sense that something was up with Will. Her training had extended to more than just punching, and she was pretty observant despite her tendency to hit first and ask questions later. Will's feelings did not seem to be outright hostility, but definitely a strong dose of distrust and nervousness. He was on edge. It didn't take psychic powers to tell that his mood wasn't quite the jovial one he was used to. However, she assumed that his slightly off mood was due to going to the mood, and dismissed it as nerves. Still, she was going to keep an eye on him.
  23. 13 will -not- suffice here Hero point reroll is a go; 27 much better
  24. Breaker was one of Crimson Tiger's earliest threads, and she was in the first thread he ever appeared in. I would like to throw her hat into this.
