  1. Solvrytter looked at Nevermore with a curious look on his face. "Where I come from, it was just second nature. Everyone else was generally up with the sun every morning." He said, before qualifying his statement. "Of course, night watchmen and the like weren't usually asked to be up that early. However, it's nice to meet you too, finally."
  2. Graft nodded. "I can climb the buildings, yes. Scan the area, search multiple wavelengths of light in every direction." He looked at the other two. "I have a phone, yeah. It's...in the suit." The undifferentiated biomass that constituted his suit was quite adaptable, he noted. He had never met any of these people before, but they seemed decent enough, that and they seemed useful. They were a motley crew. Two magic users, what looked like a tech expert, and himself, an organic hodgepodge with a person inside. This could be interesting.
  3. Henry charged a blast of cosmic energy, ready to strike at the bizarre alien foe. Unfortunately, the creature seemed to shrug off the blast. Henry was glad that his allies were capable of hurting it, because so far, he felt like it was simply too tough. It had happened more and more lately, that he ran in to foes that could simply shrug off or dodge his best efforts. He had spent so long being more powerful than everyone else around him that he rarely actually trained. His power usually sufficed. Since returning to Earth, he felt like a small fish in an ocean. He felt that it was time to correct this, and learn the true level of power he could channel forth.
  4. Graft nodded. "I can move fast when I have to." He pointed at his head. "I'm in a suit. An organic suit that has a whole suite of interesting abilities. Infrared vision, ultraviolet vision, enhanced sense of smell." he turned around. "Ghosts and the supernatural aren't my thing. Outside of the Halloween costume, I'm a doctor." he shrugged. "So while I'm no expert on magic, or technology, I have my uses." "Got a plan to sweep the place, I take it?"
  5. 27! That's more like it! DC23 TOU save blast, because Henry doesn't wanna touch that
  6. Graft moved easily through traffic. Jumping from building to building, running up and down walls. All in all, it beat the hell out of taking a taxi. He remembered treating the wounds last night and shuddered involuntarily. It was a bizarre trail, and he knew that the end would probably be even more bizarre. The story was something out of a nightmare, and he knew that if he went to investigate, he might find himself face to face with something weird and scary looking. Luckily for him, he was also weird and scary looking. Then he spotted Nick. He didn't recognize the symbols on the jacket, but the skull face certainly made him look like wasn't just there on a jog. He briefly considered the possibility that he was the guilty party, but nobody like that would walk around like that in broad daylight. That would be phenomenally stupid or not. He landed behind Nick with an audible thud at a distance of about twenty feet behind him. He straightened himself out and shifted the mass from his legs back to the rest of his body. He put his best face forward, smoothing the suit back out and making sure he had a pair of eyes clearly located where human eyes should be. The armor, to outside observers, looked about as normal as he could get it. "Hello." He said as he stepped closer to Nick. "I think we may be after the same thing here."
  7. Initiative, 26
  8. Crimson Tiger dashed forward and intended to put down Jack. However, at the last minute, Malcolm tried to intercept her punch. She didn't have time to change her target, so she slammed her fist right into Malcolm's jaw, sending him flying into the air. He slammed right into his friend, Jack, and simply fell to the floor. Jack was entirely unaffected by the impact. She realized that Jack might want to avenge his friend, so she backed a safe distance away, hoping that one of her allies could knock him out before he could close distance with her.
  9. To note what I've said in chat, Mali will be using move-by-action to get out of Jack's revenge range
  10. ....Well, I decided to do a full power attack on the Battle Brother with 5 bruises then I rolled a 28 So, assuming that hits, well. That's a DC32 TOU save
  11. Henry let himself enjoy her embrace. Yes, the behavior was a bit odd from someone born in the 1800s, but he didn't really mind. Nobody around them would look at them twice for it, and it wasn't the kind of attention he got every day. Henry gave a little bit of a chuckle. Of course he was aware she was technically dead. He should also be dead. They were both products of the strange and supernatural. That was just the way his life was now. "Yes." He said with a polite smile. "I know Lucy isn't, well, technically alive anymore. But we live in Freedom City. A city filled with the strange and wonderful." He wasn't, however, interested in how she 'died'. She was here now, and it wasn't something he felt was need to know information.
  12. "I have done nothing illegal and my parents can afford a very good lawyer. So, I assume my parents will, knowing their child is a good person, hire a very good attorney and come fetch me." She smiled politely, clearly indicating to both her friends and everyone else that she didn't think they could do anything to her legally, and would pay dearly for anything illegal they might try to do. All without saying a word about it, of course. "He would also extend that legal protection to all of my friends, knowing they are innocent. Should I choose to run, they would then probably attempt to do even worse." She shrugged. "So, all I plan to do is wait for this to be sorted out. If I did anything else, I might make the situation worse."
  13. Henry walked into Chester's like he'd been there before. He hadn't, of course, but he was certainly dressed for the part. Long coat, suit, hat. All a nice, medium gray and crisp. He took his hat off the moment he entered the building, because that was how he'd always been taught. He thought, perhaps, that some of the folks might see his garb as a tribute to the club itself. That wasn't entirely incorrect, but frankly, he wasn't here for the club. He spotted Lucy in the back room and smiled politely before walking towards her.
  14. "Psychic powers are outside of my abilities, but Jack Wolf didn't seem quite right when he did it. The Atoms, well, they tried to contain the situation. The Psions kinda went berserk, and the Atoms tried to keep things locked down. Then after we stopped the Psions, you folks showed up." He shook his head. "I don't quite know what was going on in their heads, on either side. Looked to me like a blood feud that just boiled over eventually."
  15. "Nice to meet you, Ralf, Georgia." Mali said with a polite nod. "Some water, if that's okay, thanks." She said to ALEX. Mali had eaten a fair meal before leaving, and wasn't the least bit hungry. Thirsty was another matter. "I've been to alternate dimensions, but not space." Mali said. "The moon should be fun though." She had only briefly met Will, but he was a memorable person. Flirtatious, bold, energetic. Almost a bit too much for her, but he seemed to be willing to back down if you made it clear you weren't interest.
  16. Gonna go with a cosmic energy blast. Got a 19 DC23 TOU save if that hits
  17. Henry ignored her. It was pointless to engage in taunts with someone like that. He was not in the mood to put up with any of this junk. Hateful people, tearing at each other over a years old grudge. Putting the lives of innocent bystanders in danger. He had a low opinion of both the Atoms and the Psions. There were several ways they could have handled the situation. They knew it was a powder keg, and not one of them expressed concerns over lighting a match. Their expressed concerns about the bystanders seemed to be an afterthought. He knew this fight had gone on for generations. Parker Psion wanted the grudge to continue on, long after he was dead, even past the death of his children. Breeding generations of hateful, crazy children for some twisted goal. He was sorry that the Psions lost their grandfather. He was sorry that they had to watch the gruesome murder of an old man. He himself had seen more death than anyone should have to, and it was worrying how little it affected him. Still, from the few minutes he saw the old man in action, he saw a man who was twisted by hatred and madness, who pulled his entire family down with him. He was sorry that they lost him, that they saw what they saw, but he was certainly not sorry that the twisted bastard was dead. He returned to where the rest of them were, on the off chance they needed help in another fight.
  18. Crimson Tiger decided that standing and fighting the Battle Brothers was asking for a knockout. So, she bolted forward, intending on striking one of them and moving away. Unfortunately, just as she got there the other battle brother stepped in front of her attack and was able to shrug it off. Mali dashed past and turned around. This was getting very, very troublesome.
  19. Damage shifted by 4, attack of 24. DC26 TOU save Okay, sorry about that, stuff kept happening, didn't realize what I posted; Attacking the already hurt battle brother. Using move by action to get up to him, hit him, and then move away from him
  20. Yeah, he'd need at least a 19 to save against that, so...eh, he's down
  21. GM The boss shook his head, still feeling the jolt Polarity delivered to him in his head. He took a swing at her, but failed to put any force behind it. Meanwhile, one of his allies stepped up behind Polarity and took a swing at her with the bat in his hands, but she easily sidestepped the attempt. "Damned heroes." One of them muttered. "Boss, what do we do?" "We...uh...we fight. Take 'em down."
  22. Solvrytter stepped forward and swung his spear at the nearest thug, slapping upside the head with the butt end of his spear and sending him sprawling. Then, he turned around and slammed it into the abdomen of another thug, sending him sprawling. Then, a third one stepped up and swung a billy club in the general direction of Solvrytter's head, but he brought his spear up to block it. While he was distracted doing that, another man stepped up and slammed his billy club upside Solvrytter's head, causing him to stumble for a second as his head snapped to the side a bit.
  23. Solvrytter got a 16 on his attack roll. Barely good enough to hit. He's swinging at Thug 1, who I've decided is closest to him for simplicity's sake. Guy rolled a 7 So he's out. Solvrytter's going to use takedown attack to try another one. Thug 2 How did he roll 2 16s?! Second guy is out, too, but Solvrytter can't move in to a third. Thug 3 is going to take a swing at Solvrytter to no effect Thug 4 is going to take a swing at Polarity, to no effect either Thug 2 would go next, but he got dropped before he could do anything. Thug 6 is gonna crit on Solvrytter! That's a DC26 TOU save. Ouch Solvrytter is bruised! The boss is gonna take a swing at Polarity, it's a hit and a DC19 TOU save Thug 5 is gonna take a swing at Polarity and miss Thug 1 is down, so he's not here. New Initiative; 1: Polarity: 2 HP 2: Solvrytter 3 HP, bruised 3: Thug 3 4: Thug 4 5: Thug 2 - OUT 6: Thug 6 7: Boss - SLOW 8. Thug 5 9: Thug 1 - OUT Polarity is up!
  24. Mali shook her head. The moon. This was an odd field trip, and one she definitely never expected. She occasionally had to stop herself from grinning stupidly at the prospect. She knew Elias well enough, and she'd met Will once, but the others were pretty much strangers to her. She approached the building and entered the parking garage downstairs. She made sure everyone had the bags they were supposed to bring, and stepped out and towards the elevator. Exactly where she was told it would be. She took the key card in her hand and scanned it, revealing an elevator that would take them to where they needed to go. Which, ultimately, would lead to the moon. This was going to be an interesting trip.
