  1. Graft Getting someone to work his shift wasn't easy. Leaping from building to building, trying his best to get to the hall within a reasonable length of time, that wasn't easy either. Blitzing through his paperwork to make sure he could take the rest of the night off, that wasn't easy at all. But the view alone was worth it. As Graft stepped into the room, he gazed around at the decorations, the people. He managed, through noticeable effort, to keep the suit stable. It looked weird, still. An insect carapace covered his whole body, but he had eyes, he had a mouth. He looked humanoid, and no muscles or bones were exposed for once. He expected to be one of the tallest people in the room. He was certainly not disappointed.
  2. Mali deflected the blow and slammed her right foot into the side of the foe she'd been attacking the whole time. "You might want to stop soon." Mali said as she stayed in her face. "You're already going to be waking up awfully sore tomorrow." She said. She knew not to get too angry, otherwise she'd lose focus, and probably lose. She knew her foe had to be weakening, she had to be. Even Mali would be feeling sore and stiff from all those strikes.
  3. 28 on an attack roll, this is a damage shifted attack by 2, so DC24
  4. 21 on that TOU save Gonna do another acrobatic bluff...for 21
  5. 5...Henry thinks they're villains of some sort
  6. Muay Thai was an art dedicated to hitting hard and taking a hit. The latter was something most people were unaware of. Two Muay Thai fighters would, on occasion, kick each other as hard as they could just to learn to redirect the force of the blow. Mali had taken some serious blows before, and learned to redirect blows that could outright kill a grown man. When Mali saw the staff coming from overhead, she knew that if she took the blow on her head, it would knock her clean out. So she did the only thing she could do, and it was a crazy answer. She shifted slightly and let the staff slide onto her shoulder and off her arm. The blow still hurt, but that last ditch effort changed it from a knock out blow to a slight sting. "Oh, don't even bring up honor!" She said, stepping up to the one she'd been striking the whole time. She shifted a little bit, trying to feint. When that didn't work, she simply slammed her fist into the girl's abdomen, knowing that strike would slow her down. "Here you are, attacking security guards, bringing extra people to a one-on-one fight. That's it, I'm ending this fight!"
  7. 26 Damage shifting by 2 for a DC24 TOU save, provided it hits
  8. 33 on an acrobatic bluff again, Crimson Tiger's gonna try take out the one she's been fighting the whole time.
  9. As she approached the cafeteria, Shadowblade spotted three guards, all standing together between the office and cafeteria. They were relatively alert. "So, someone's in here." One of them said. "One of the subjects is gone, and some of the scientists were knocked out. Boss says we're to stay here." The other two nodded. "I know my orders, Jackson. Jeez." He glanced around. "You think it's one of them heroes?" "Well, obviously. If it were the cops, they'd have started shouting by now, you know?" "I hope it's not the Raven, or Foreshadow. You never know when those folks are even in the area." He glanced around nervously. "Hero could be here right now, you know? What if we're being watched, I mean..." "Shut up. Just keep your head straight, alright?"
  10. Okay, there are three guards in the area, all watching the cafeteria and office
  11. Gonna use Ultimate Toughness here, because there's a pretty good chance that would knock her straight out
  12. When John handed Henry the ticket, Henry was confused. He knew what basketball was, vaguely. He knew what the Harlem Globetrotters were...kind of. All in all, he would have liked to turn the ticket down, but he decided it would be rude to refuse. Being a pragmatic man, he saw no point in wasting the ticket. So with a little bit of confusion and a tiny bit of reluctance, he went. But, as the game went on, he found himself enjoying it. The Globetrotters were skilled, entertaining, and their athletic ability was admirable. He would have to thank John next time he saw him at the station. The game was fun and he was grateful for the ticket. Certainly beat going home to a boring night alone again.
  13. That is a hit. ANnnd the first robot just plain got broke; 14. First of three foes is just down.
  14. One of Graft's tentacles lashed out and turned off the light switch nearby while his other tentacle struck one of the men in the chest. The darkness did nothing to inhibit his eyesight, rather he could see their infrared signatures. He always enjoyed seeing the world through the suit's many different kinds of eyes. Multifaceted, ultraviolet, infrared, it was virtually impossible to sneak up on him. In addition, he enjoyed the fact that he didn't even really need eyes. The undifferentiated biomass that made up the suit could form eyes in a way that other people couldn't see, leaving his face a single, unblemished plate of chitin.
  15. Placeholder post, because I put the IC in the OOC thread
  16. The door did not break, but it did slam. When she went outside, she found a crowd of people heading towards a location across the street. They were crowded around something, and because of her height, it was easy to see what. Three robots were hammering away at a solid brick wall. They seemed to be ignoring the crowd completely, steadily beating at the wall with their fists. There was a large chunk of brick on the ground, which was probably the source of the smashing sound. A few of the people took pictures, the smarter ones started calling for the police. The robots ignored all of it, and persisted to beat on the wall continuously.
  17. As Cho looked through the various shelves of the store, she became aware of a strange rumbling noise. It stopped after a few seconds, then resumed a moment later. Everyone in the store looked confused, from employees to customers, and then the other noise happened. SMASH It was so loud that it drowned out other sounds, and that was followed by a louder rumbling noise than before. Some of the people in the store ran outside to see where the noise was coming from.
  18. Mali groaned. That stung. She winced slightly, knowing that tomorrow she would probably have a rather sizable bruise. She looked at the girl she'd been hitting all that time and bolted forward. Immediately as her opponent swung, Mali dove and rolled, flipping back up on to her feet and slamming her foot into her opponent's stomach. Again, her foe was knocked for a loop, but still on her feet. This was beginning to get bothersome. She knew her friends were probably dealing with as much if not more trouble as she was, but she couldn't do much to check up on them. Not yet anyway.
  19. Another fully toughness shifted attack, DC27 TOU save, she's got a 19
  20. 27 on Acrobatic Bluff Gonna keep hammering at the same person
  21. 18 looks like Mali felt that one a bit
  22. Mali's gonna use skill mastery for a 25 on this check
  23. The OOC thread for >this
  24. December 15th, 2013 Southside 5:30 PM It was a chilly late afternoon in Freedom City, and the shopping areas of Southside were picking up from all the people who had gotten out of work and needed to do some shopping. The sky was filled with the orange glow of twilight. The street lights were on, there was snow on the ground, and the air was cold. It felt and looked and sounded like Christmas was right around the corner. For some people, this was cause for celebration. For others, it was a sign of a miserable winter. Meanwhile, behind one of the shops, three robots stepped up to the wall of the building...
  25. He nodded. "Okay, um, there are two more. One hasn't been used yet, just came in about five minutes ago. The first one was put through the chamber, to no effect. Both are in the old cafeteria. Other than the guys you just knocked out, there are five more guards in the area. Gotta warn you though, the boss knows his way around a fight. Just warning you." He said, taking a breath.
