recruitment Game Idea (Looking for GM and players)
Thunder King replied to horngeek's topic in Archives
Graft could end up running into this. I would have volunteered some of my other characters, but he's the one who needs exposure the most right now. Alternatively, Solar Sentinel can circle the globe in minutes, so he could easily end up anywhere. -
"Well, hmm...good question. I've got some ideas as to what I want to wear. Something sleek, something conservative. Sexy but not trashy. Cute." She chuckled. "Something, I dunno. Black, black sounds good. It works with my skin tone. Red's my favorite color, but red is waaaaay too bold to put on a dress like that. I'd feel like everyone was staring at me." She looked around to find something sleek and black. Maybe with a little jacket to hide her shoulders and arms better. No, she decided. She was going to walk in proud of herself. After all, these were superheroes. It was very unlikely that she'd be the strongest woman there.

Mali nodded. "I think we should pair off and trade notes at first. Get an idea for what one another can do. I figure you and I can start off, Foreshadow. I've worked with the other two a couple of times before, and I don't know if they've ever worked together. We keep pairing off and chatting until we get a good sense, then we start training." "What does everyone think?"

He did not find the man with the knife when he arrived, but he did find a large, green looking man. He had no mouth, and instead seemed to be wearing an insect carapace that clung chitinous plates to his shoulders, legs, knees and arms. Looking almost like a humanoid insect. He was extremely tall, nearing seven feet and possessing a powerful physique. However, his eyes weren't staying in one place. They seemed to move around his head, this way and that. It was a disconcerting sight, to say the least. "I know you're there." He said, finally turning his head. "I've heard a bit about you. Havoc, been patrolling these streets for a while. I'm newer to the area." "I'm investigating a batch of bad drugs that hit the streets. Some kids got their hands on it and they're looking bad." The alley was completely normal. A few bits of clutter, and a dumpster clinging to the side of the building.

As they were outside chatting, Mali stepped up to the door and opened it with a big smile. her friends were here! She grinned from ear to ear. "Hi!" She said. "So glad you guys could make it. Cerys is already inside. Come on in, come on in." She opened the door wide and motioned for the girls to step inside. It was warm and cozy. Comfortable and relaxing. "Find a seat, my parents will be out to say hi shortly. Sorry, but they're busy in the kitchen at the moment." She motioned to the furniture. All comfortable, warm and cozy, well upholstered chairs and couches. "If you guys will hand me your jackets and coats, I'll put them in the closet." She said. "I'm so happy you guys are here."

Mali answered the door as her parents were quite busy. They were in the kitchen, setting things up. "Hi Cerys." She said with a polite smile. She opened the door. "It's cold out there, come on in. Have a seat." She motioned to the couch. Mali's home was an old one. One of the old Victorian homes that hadn't been converted into a bed and breakfast. Her parents had bought it assuming they would fill it with children. There was a fireplace lit in the main room, and the furniture was comfortable and inviting. "Mom and dad are doing some stuff in the kitchen, or they'd have introduced themselves. Sorry about that."

After helping Blod get where she needed to go, Crimson Tiger arrived at the warehouse and let herself in. She looked around. The facilities were solid. Definitely useful to her purposes. She thought about her allies and what she knew about them. Wraith was the oddity. Not human, and didn't fight like one either. She was very flexible and adaptable without losing an iota of power. That was definitely an asset, especially when she couldn't be sure what kind of opponents they'd end up fighting. Blodeuwedd was someone she could trust as well. Someone she'd fought beside. Blod was as good with her sword as Mali was with her fists, and just as dangerous in a fight. Blod had the advantage of her magical gear Blod had the added advantage of being even more agile and stealthy than herself. A major asset. She didn't know Foreshadow, but she knew fighters. Foreshadow had a lean, muscular frame and a sense of easy grace about him. She imagined his fighting style was something quick and light. Something that would let him weave in and out of combat. She was impressed, but that was obvious; this was the Raven. She of all people would know her stuff.

Thursday, November 28th, 3:00 PM Thanksgiving Mali Benjawan was excited. She'd arrived at home a couple days before and had woken up promptly in the morning to help her parents set dinner up. When she proposed bringing some friends in to eat with them, they were happy to hear it. Her parents expressed concern with their less than traditional Thanksgiving meal and how her friends would feel, but she reassured them that her friends weren't very traditional either. They were asked to arrive sometime in the early afternoon. Any time before six would be fine, because that's when they were planning on eating. She wasn't sure what time they were all going to show up, but in the meantime she distracted herself by helping with food preparation.

She grunted in surprised pain. Meeting her leg with his was not what she expected. However, she managed, somehow, to respond. Her right arm shot out and deflected his punch and grunted in pain. She didn't quite catch it right, and she knew her forearm would have a bruise where he hit. She jumped backward. He was a dirty fighter, prone to atypical motions and unusual reactions. Staying that close meant he could do all sorts of nasty tricks and feints. While she had her usual defenses, her knees and elbows, she also knew he'd expect them in that close. Better to back off.

Mali would have done exactly as Serge did. These were not criminals, these were not hurting anyone. Furthermore, she did not want to see what kind of reprisals would come from her parents, the law, and the school should she start attacking museum guards. None of them attacked her. So she raised her hands up and did her best to comply with their requests. There was nothing to be done. Hell, Sam had just been bragging about the thefts. She wouldn't be much of a superhero if she made exceptions for her friends.

Mali chuckled. "Bowling's not necessarily my favorite sport, but it is fun." She said. "Get a bunch of people around the alley, and play. It's one of those things you can have fun with even if you completely suck." Truth be told, she did kinda like bowling. It was competitive, but since your opponents had nothing to do with your performance, it was also a sport you could train at and improve without needing anyone else around. Anything you could train at and have fun while getting better appealed to her.

Mali found a few dresses that suited her pretty quickly. Something that would compliment her lightly tanned skin. The other two girls were different from her in several ways, yet not others, so all in all it wasn't hard to begin gathering ideas for the three of them. They all had dark hair, Giang was more petite, yet had a somewhat similar complexion, while Thaelia was a bit taller, but had a somewhat similar physique. Thus, in her mind, things that colors that suit her own skin and hair colors would also look nice on Giang, while clothing that would suit her physique would also look nice on Thaelia. "Giang, I think this looks really pretty." She said, bringing up one idea to show the other girl. Mali was not used to looking at price tags foremost and this wasn't any different.

Mali headed to the Ravenrang and scoped out the directions. It was pretty easy for her to determine the location. Her own patrols through the city had given her a pretty good idea as to the layout of the city. She also felt confident that a new identity would be able to disguise her. Especially if she avoided using some signature Muay Thai stuff like knees and elbows. "I'll meet you guys there." She said with a nod to the other heroes. "But if any of you need a ride, I'll be standing by my motorcycle not that far from here. I'll wait like, ten minutes before taking off. I won't be able to take more than one other person though."

"I say we build the outfits one piece at a time. Dresses, shoes, handbags and the like in that rough order. After that, we hit lunch and maybe see if I can start shopping for Christmas gifts. I do not want to deal with Black Friday." Mali let it go unsaid; she was more than capable of buying good gifts without relying on Black Friday, and would happily avoid the crowds even if it meant paying much more. "Better to start with dresses." She said. "After all, it's the main part of the outfit. Every other detail goes after that." She motioned towards the store and began walking purposefully there.

"I'm honored to help." Mali said as she nodded. "This, this isn't just fighting. This is wrong, and I'll do what I can to help. I'm going to need a different costume, since the right people could figure out exactly who I am if they looked hard enough." She knew Blod, and Wraith. She'd fought beside the both of them several times. Wraith was one of the most dangerous combatants she'd ever seen. Shifting and twisting, completely unpredictable. Blodeuwedd was also quite skilled, someone even she, with her training, would have a hard time seeing if she didn't want to be seen. She did not know Foreshadow, not in person. She knew him by reputation, or at least his predecessor. A skilled combatant and acrobat. Two people she knew and fought beside, and a third with a solid reputation. She'd gone into worse situations with worse help.

Crimson Tiger spotted the various fighters and thugs filling the room and decided enough was enough. She bolted forward towards the armed men. She slammed her fists into their heads, knocking them to the ground, not even slowing down. They were surrounded by foes, they were in danger, and she could not give these people any room to breathe. She realized she'd have to push herself much harder than normal. She watched as one of the fighters kicked at Harry and decided he was the first target. She closed distance with frightening speed and balled up her fist. She slammed her fist into his abdomen. The blow rocked his entire body and sent him crashing to the ground. "None of you know me." She said, straightening herself out, eyes scanning the room. "But I'm Crimson Tiger, and I'm going to beat the hell out of every last one of you."

Crimson Tiger's gonna pull out all the stops here; First, she's gonna drop these two thugs like a bag of potatoes; DC27 TOU saves all around. They aren't able to make that (according to chat), so it's on! She's gonna surge after knocking these guys out; Move-by-action past the fallen thugs and lining up an attack; 21 if that hits, he's got a DC25 TOU save to make

The Raven. Mali snaked through the security with practiced ease. The Raven. One of the, if not the, scariest, most badass and most awesome super heroes in the world. She kept out of sight, grateful for the lax security. It might have made a better challenge if it weren't obviously reduced, but she assumed the Raven would want her to be there in a timely manner. She calmed down, it wouldn't do to fangirl all over her while she was trying to explain whatever big, awesome thing she wanted her to help do.

Until this Thursday, 21st of November, I will likely not have electricity. Thus I will be at my grandmother's and unavailable for anything. I should be back before the week is out, though.

Crimson Tiger was done. Done with sneaking, done with people in harms way. She did not know if Lucy could handle those imposing looking thugs, but she didn't want to force the woman to fight them on her own if she couldn't. With that in mind, she charged at the two thugs and slammed her fist into their heads. That did it. The two of them fell back and Mali didn't even slow down her progress. She was not going to stop, not if friends were in danger. Not that she knew Lucy, Fred or Harry all that well, but she was not going to make them fight alone.

Okay, well, I'm going to go ahead and say that Rene is using his detect magic for this. There is a palpable aura of menace in the air. Some very evil, scary looking magic as far as Rene can see. It seems to be thickening in a certain direction
