Mali was not one for baseball, not really, but the idea of experiencing a game in person sounded fun enough. Normally, history and such held very little interest for her, but she did enjoy seeing real history. Animals and skeletons, exhibits of real artifacts from history. Much more interesting than any old book could make them. Still, she kinda felt...lost. She was happy for Sam and Tona, as her two closest friends, yet she didn't know anyone else here half as well as the two of them. But that was fine, she decided. Always good to make new friends.

The circus was quiet, with a few workers here and there setting things up. After a few moments, one of the workers steppped up to Rene, confused. "Sorry sir, we ain't ready for anybody 'til tomorrow. Unless of course you got other business here." He said, somewhat confused. After a bit of conversation, Rene found himself standing in front of a pleasant looking, somewhat plump man of an indiscriminate age between thirty and forty. "Hi there. You asked about the clowns?" He said, looking around. "I heard you're one of them heroes, am I wrong?"

There was no historic mention of Jingles the Clown, neither in the history books, nor in any magical texts. However while looking at clowns and such, Rene found a reference to a 18th century jester that somehow stole into the chambers of a respected noble and murdered him and his family. The jester had an inhuman appearance it seemed, there was a mention that the jester had been killed, but that's where the trail ended.

There's no mention of Jingles anywhere in the texts, but I'm going to use this opportunity to give a clue to his origins in the IC

Parkhurst October 30th 11:00 PM Rene DeSaens opened his eyes. He stood inside his room in Parkhurst, even though he'd laid down to sleep in his own bed at home. he did not remember how he'd arrived. He was standing in front of a canvas. He heard the gentle rapping of a cold, autumn rain on the windows. Whatever he had painted, he did so in darkness. Apparently the trance that had overtaken him had left him able to paint even in darkness. He could not see in perfect darkness, and so turned on the light. His eyes went wide at what he saw on the canvas. Lurid, bright colors slashed this way and that. Green, yellow, white, blue, red. Lots of red. What should have been cheerful, bright colors were made painful to the eyes, and the figure that dominated the painting was horrifying to look at. It was a clown; a hideous, malformed monster with razor teeth and a cruel, mocking grin. There were bodies, bleeding on the ground beneath him and in one hand he held a cruel, jagged knife. Everything came on him suddenly as he remembered what the painting was showing him. A clown in bright colors, face twisted into a monstrous visage. He stood over bodies piled upon the floor. Bells on his clothing that did not ring like bells ought, but rather clanked like old, rusted chains. Jingles. The name came to him suddenly. Who was this Jingles? Was this a painting of the past? Had this thing happened? Was he supposed to stop it from happening, or stop another like it?

Graft is going to ready an action to jump into the crowd of masked individuals should any of them start acting hostile again. Grabbing weapons, punching, putting masks on people. Any of that and he jumps in to take them down. He's tougher than the other heroes involved and thus should be the one to get targeted by large groups, if it comes down to that.

Mali noticed nothing, and continued working. She was grateful that the guys had been sent away, because it just didn't suit her mood to knock them silly. She knew they wouldn't deserve the kind of hurt she could lay down. Their attempt at hitting on her had been harmless, if asinine. So, she simply resumed picking up trash, working with the kind of efficiency only someone who really wanted to finish quickly could maintain.

Crimson Tiger, upon shutting the lights in the hallway down, made her way to the stairs and began to carefully make her way down. She wanted to find that boy, or wherever the fighters were, or whatever useful thing she could find. She kept her ears peeled just in case she heard something. She hoped all that training would pay off.

She's going to sneak back through the area and go down the stairs. 22 on stealth. While she's there, she's going to try and use Notice to listen for footsteps, voices, other signs of life. This is an accurate sense; 22

Mali chuckled. "Yeah that was interesting. That whole situation went down oddly. There was another guy there, very helpful. I don't know whatever happened to him. Might still be out there, for all I know." She did her best to look small and skulk around. She didn't quite want to be noticed. It was one thing to have people admire her skills. Quite another to have her workout interrupted by people who wanted to chat about that crazy fight...both of the crazy fights. This time, she was nowhere near as worried about her appearance. She was wearing a tank top and knew people might stare at her muscular arms and shoulders. She had nothing to fear. She'd fought against the Curator's forces, she'd beaten up ninjas, super villains, robots, even Nazis in another dimension. Let people stare, she was badass enough to take it.

Henry realized that as fast as he was, even he could not pursue both villain and robbers at the same time. That, and the officers below were still injured. He determined the best course of action. He pulled away from the flame shooting villain and dove down to the police officers that were unconscious. He plucked the radio up and took off to his opponent. As a firefighter, he was familiar with the ways of contacting dispatches. He rattled off addresses, streets, and which way the van had gone. With that, he knew that the officers would be cared for, and the van would be pursued. Which meant he had the freedom to act on his real target.

27 for the 25 16 for the 19. Guess he takes a bruise

Solar Sentinel took off flying after them. He would have stayed, but his power set was ill suited to fixing a fire, and he didn't have any of his gear. He knew emergency services would be along soon. It was a terrible thing to leave them like that, but there were more competent people on their way, and he knew that as bad as things looked, nobody was dead. Besides, a man this dangerous would need to be taken down. He caught up to his opponent and slammed his fist into him. Unfortunately, the blow did nothing as his foe's aerial momentum negated the force of the strike. "I'm not done with you yet!" Solar Sentinel growled.

Power attacking for 2 on a 20 turning into a dc25 TOU save

12 well, that sucks 23 That's quite lucky though
-
Solar Sentinel shrugged the blast off, rolling with the impact to ensure it didn't injure him. However, this threw his aim off considerably, and while he was able to return fire, it barely missed his target. Meanwhile, he glanced over at the men who were threatening to drive off with the money. He considered chasing after them, but decided that if this other guy could seriously hurt him, he could hurt a lot of other people. The money would have to wait.

Blast and a miss...15

27 that could have worked out bad

As a hero, Solar Sentinel had good reason to be angry at those who hurt police. As a firefighter, however, that gave him even more reason to put the man in the pumpkin mask down so he couldn't hurt anymore people. He drew deeper from the cosmic energy source that empowered him. Observers would have noticed the glow around his body spike into a flame-like apparition for a split second as he fired a blast of cosmic energy at the masked man. Good, that one hurt. "What, was that one better?" He said. He wanted this man to focus on him, and leave the cops alone.

Using extra effort to boost his blast by 2 ranks to make this one a DC25 TOU save; Rolled a 25

Solar Sentinel gasped, seeing the damage to the police car. He bolted forward and slammed his fist into the man, but saw that it had no effect. Well, that was troublesome. A group of what looked like bank robbers lead by a man who was clearly tougher than he looked. He knew he'd need a little extra oomph for this. He backed up and the glow intensified slightly around him. "Well this is interesting." He whispered to himself.
