He keeps a neat, trimmed goatee. He's always been thin, only starting to fill out once he got out of high school. He has a noticeable scar on his chin that he acquired as a child. He favors light, comfortable clothes when not on the job, usually in style, but seldom expensive. In his armor, he gains a little over a foot in height, and a noticeable amount more bulk. The armor usually manifests an appearance like an insect's carapace, but can change into scales like a fish, or simply look like hardened muscle. It's color is a forest green, shining like a beetle's shell. Power Descriptions: The armor usually has bits of exposed muscle and bone sticking out. When Tyrone switches to his penetrating strike, large claws spring from his fingertips. When he makes massive jumps, extra mass appears around his legs. Generally, the suit's mass shifts wherever Tyrone needs it to go, and takes whatever shape Tyrone needs to do what he wants with it. It's not pretty, and Tyrone is still working on teaching the armor how to cover itself and look less disturbing History: Tyrone was born in 1982 to Christian and Pamela Mendoza. He excelled early, despite living in a rough neighborhood. His parents insisted he study, and this growth enabled him to graduate early at 16. He managed, after years of struggle, to enter the medical program at University of Michigan. After that, and a lot more college, he graduated. After that, he acquired a fascination for metahuman biology and abilities after being saved by one of New York's native heroes. He decided that if he wanted to follow this curiosity, it was better to live in Freedom City itself, where he quickly earned a position at Freedom City University as a researcher. However, having a desire to protect neighborhoods like the one he grew up in, he also began working at a free clinic in the Fens. In March of 2012, the Mendoza family took a vacation to Brazil, where his family history originally lie. It was there that he discovered a strange green lump. It was alive, reacting to his touch by recoiling. It shifted and moved, changing shape. He managed to coax it into a box and, through great struggle, take it out of the country and back to the states. He studied it for months, discovering that it ate only dead tissue, and that it could change itself to match whatever tissue it consumed. When fed a piece of chicken, it suddenly sprouted feathers. When it consumed a bit of fish, it shifted to scales. After a while, it grew to trust him, eagerly accepting food. One day, he treated a young man at the free clinic that demanded painkillers. Tyrone managed to talk the young man down, and after he left, he assumed the matter was settled. However, when the young man broke into his house later that night, Tyrone found himself staring down the barrel of a pistol. The young man was crazed, demanding narcotics Tyrone didn't have, especially not at home. After a brief struggle, the young man fired the pistol and, horrified, fled. Tyrone collapsed from a bleeding wound in his abdomen, unable to muster the strength to find a phone. He awoke to find himself not only alive, but covered in something warm, and even comfortable. Then he felt something, a presence in his mind that wasn't itself. It was the thing from the forest. It was his friend, it expressed, and wasn't going to let him die. His wound closed. He stood up, still covered in the creature, like a suit. He gazed into the mirror and saw that he was bigger with it on. He asked if it was uncomfortable, and the creature said no. Over the next few weeks, he experimented and tested what the creature could really do. Personality & Motivation: Tyrone has a bold and friendly personality, often at odds with his costume's sinister appearance. He's often been able to stop situations diplomatically, before they start. He laughs easily and jokes often. He has an almost manic energy about him, driving him to do more, which is why he works both at the clinic and at the research facility. In costume, however, he does his best to take advantage of his costume's sinister appearance, and avoids talking to his opponents once combat has begun. Tyrone is far more about protecting the innocent than defeating evil, though his suit is built towards the latter. It all owes to why he became a doctor, and the Hippocratic Oath he took, and takes very seriously. He protects people, he keeps them safe from bad things and bad people. Powers & Tactics: The creature adapts to Tyrone's thoughts the moment he thinks them, changing to suit Tyrone's needs. His hands are tipped with claws one moment, then enlarged fists the next. It can sprout extra limbs, either as arms or tentacles. The suit can heal him, so Tyrone isn't concerned with protecting himself that much. Instead, he charges into battle, using whatever tactic looks like the best idea. However, he will always make sure that the nearby civilians are safe, and will always check up on them after battle. Complications: Secret: Identity I'm not a villain, honest!: The suit makes Tyrone look quite sinister. Some people might mistake him for a villain at first. First, Do No Harm: Tyrone's first objective is to keep civilians safe, and he won't choose a tactic if he feels it will put them at risk unecessarily. It Hurts to Heal: The suit regenerates his damage by converting it's own biomass into tissue for Tyrone. This hurts a lot, and it may distract him in combat. Obligations: Tyrone is a busy man. 4. Henry heard what was going on. This...well, this wasn't good. If they needed him, he was going to make sure he was available. He ran to his room, fetched his costume, and got dressed as quickly as he could. Seconds later, a blue streak blasted across the sky as the Solar Sentinel went into action. The Grue. He'd seldom had any interaction with them, but he knew them by reputation. They were not to be trifled with, something he knew well. He wasn't sure who he was going to work with, but he hoped they could get to work taking down this Grue villain before his plan was put into action. He arrived at the location and floated in place, waiting for the rest of the people to arrive.
  5. That had been interesting, Henry thought. Helping catch a falling ship and put it down safely was one thing, to suddenly find himself working with so many heroes was entirely another. "Seems as safe a place as any." He was just glad they'd managed to bring the ship down safely. He couldn't imagine the level of destruction that would have occurred if they hadn't. He wasn't as smart as some of them seemed to be, but he didn't want to leave if they could use his help. So, he turned to Cavalier and nodded. "Ah, a Star Knight. It's an honor." His hand twitched, as if to salute, before he lowered it. "Sorry, old habits die hard." He said. It seemed a little rude, perhaps, to single the Star Knight out, but he at least had some common ground there.
  6. Well, it was obvious to her that this guy didn't care about anything but his private cause. She'd just have to take him down. That 'fight' with the dock workers didn't take much effort. Maybe this guy would put up a real fight. There was the problem of him being on a ship, in the dark, several dozen feet away from her. She backed up a few feet and stared at the ship. This was risky. The water was cold, and there was real danger...but she knew she could do it. She'd never jumped that far before, but there was always a first time for everything. She ran, gaining momentum, and as soon as her feet neared the edge, she pushed off, soaring into the air. She flipped over in the air for just a little extra push and glanced down at the now rapidly approaching ship. She landed and twisted herself around, digging her feet in to avoid slamming into the railing at the other side. Instinctively, her hand pushed down to add extra friction and help counteract the semi-slick deck, coming to a stop. She stood up and grinned. That was fun.
  7. Doing a running jump for 104 feet. 10 (base jump distance) +6 (strength bonus) +10 (acrobatics bonus) x2 leaping x2 extra effort landing on the deck, that'll pretty much be her action for the round
  8. So far, I'm liking Graft and Proteus. Apex and Caduceus are cool names, but neither seems to fit quite right. I might use Apex as his evil universe counterpart, though. Caduceus is a reference to healing, but he's not really a healer in costume, his doctor skills are more a part of his civilian identity.
  9. Crimson Tiger cursed in Thai. Some people couldn't see the forest for the trees. He wasn't entirely wrong, mind. Sometimes companies might get rid of people they could have kept, but she wasn't an expert on business. All she knew is that this guy was going to react to people losing their jobs...by making sure more people lost their jobs. Didn't make any sense to her. "Do you seriously think putting the company down will stop other companies like it? What about the honest people who have jobs with this company? Or is it only the workers you care about? The people who aren't responsible for it? I'm not going to let you put people at risk, or their jobs. And I will stop you if you don't stop on your own."
  10. Ah, now Crimson Tiger knew what was really going on. the mafia were connected, and that was never good. That, and people dying in the fights. That meant improper care, and often bad refs. That shed new light on the fights. Fights needed precautions that protected the fighters. Fighters still got badly hurt or died sometimes, but she doubted the mafia would do much to protect the fighters. She wanted to shut these guys down, hard.
  11. So, I'm retiring Voltage. I've already decided to do this, but I already have my next hero ready to go. The problem is, I'm still not sure what to name him. My first idea was to name him Biohazard, and someone else suggested Proteus. If one of those names appeals to you (or if you have your own idea) please post it in the thread below. For reference, the sheet is in the spoilers. I'll take the names you suggest under advisement when I ultimately decide to post him.
  12. Solar Sentinel was grateful for the help, and glad to see so many heroes there. He looked to the other heroes, and shouted. "Just tell me where to go, and I'll go there. You smart guys can figure out the details, just give me directions and I'll help out." He knew they had it handled, all he was doing is helping make sure their plan worked out.

  14. Another computer issue. This one is pretty minor. Should only affect me for a few days.
  15. Henry stared up at the falling craft, and realized what he must do. Like it was back in the war; let the smart guys handle the planning and strategies, he'd do the heavy lifting. He crouched down for a moment and visualized his goal. Close in at maximum speed, get up there fast and find somewhere on that thing to hold onto it. Then push as hard as he could. A brief flicker of azure sprang about his body before he took off into the air, a loud BOOM the only reminder that he'd even been there. Anyone who gazed up in that direction would, for a moment, see what looked like a blue laser streak across the sky, before vanishing as quickly as it had appeared. He dropped from his maximum speed and put his shoulder to the ship. He felt the power within him change, powering his body for strength instead of speed. He cursed that limitation of his abilities, and not for the first time. It was then that he noticed Fenris, and blinked. "What the hell?"
  16. And the poachers want to turn that capability into an advantage. I like that. So we have Solar Sentinel going after space poachers with someone else...that works.
  17. Very possible. But that raises the question of why they are being poached anyway, because if they can teleport, why not leave all conflicts behind?
  18. Could be that they're wanted for what they're made out of. Could be that there's a lot of resources, valuable resources, in their bodies. Something akin to poaching goes on, maybe?
  19. Sure, what's your idea? And now, I haven't forgotten about a second date between Solar Sentinel and Revenant
  20. Crimson Tiger, still stalking in the shadows, made her way near the bookies to see their operation. She wondered whether or not anything bad was going on, and watched them handle the money. So far, things looked like they were on the up and up, but her instincts told her something was wrong. She just couldn't figure out what, at least not yet.
  21. Henry Mason sat in his apartment, watching the news. Televisions still boggled his mind sometimes, but he'd grown used to them. He'd similar technology in space. At least the news was useful, even if most of it wasn't really news. The crashing space craft, however, was. "That isn't good." He said, jumping to his feet. He ran to his closet and opened the small hidden compartment, fetching the bag with his costume in it. He changed quickly, put his clothes away, opened his window and flew into the alleyway, making sure his window would latch shut on his way out. He was simply too fast in the air for cameras, or even human eyes to see. The blue glow around him intensified as he tapped into his cosmic power. Within moments, he was at the rallying point. He hadn't met a huge chunk of the heroes in the city, but he was here to help.
  22. Well, this was among the weirder things she'd ever had to deal with. A man dressed like a pirate. Maybe even an actual pirate. She turned and eyed the figure warily. She didn't know what he was going to do, or who he was. He could be a bad guy, or maybe even a pirate themed hero. She wasn't going to attack him, but she wasn't going to get caught off guard, either.
  23. Crimson Tiger has no idea who he is, so she's going to hold her action until he does something. I'll still post IC with her holding.
  24. Initiative! 17 for Voltage 16 for the ice guy 21 for the strong woman
  25. GM Voltage continued to tear through vehicles, detonating and destroying what must have been millions of dollars in equipment. It was then that the doors opened. "Dr Green told us you'd be here." Came a voice as a burly looking woman stepped through the door. "We're supposed to take you to him, but I can't imagine you're gonna go nicely, are you?" Another figure suddenly landed, this one a rough looking gentleman covered in what looked like ice. "Like you gotta ask. These hero types never just give in." Voltage just silently nodded at Stormbreaker.
