Solar Sentinel, the immortal space paragon, is in need of threads. Doesn't need to be space relevant, he's also a fire fighter. He probably has contacts from when he first got back to Earth. He can circle the entire city in less than a minute, so he could stumble across just about anyone in the city at any time. He doesn't have a preferred area of patrol, either. Thoughts? Ideas?

Crimson Tiger looked at the men, but had no reason to attack them. Sure, they were armed security in an illegal fighting area, but she hadn't witnessed them doing anything bad. She backed up, slowly, making sure that they didn't see her. She couldn't very well avoid a fight then if they did. She was certainly the kind of person they wouldn't want poking around in their illegal fighting area.

Mali sat back and let the other girls comfort Tona in their own way while she thought on their discussion. "You ask me not to reveal this information, and I won't. There's no reason to." she said with a smile. "I mean, everyone has secrets, things they just wouldn't feel good letting other people know. I thank you for trusting me with that, and I swear I will not violate that trust." "...thing is, you trusted us enough to tell us this, all you've done is make us feel closer to you and each other. That may not be 'fun' but it definitely isn't a waste of time or anything like that. Tonight was for you, and if doing that made you feel better, then good. We'll keep your secret, and we're your friends, no matter what happens."
-
Crimson Tiger grumbled to herself. Idiots couldn't see that fighting around a super hero was just a bad idea. So she got to work. She shifted her legs and slammed her elbow into the chest of one of the men, sending him sprawling to the ground. She pivoted with her hips and legs and delivered a fierce roundhouse to the head of another man, before whipping around and punching a third man in the chest. A glimpse out of the corner of her eye told her that one of the men was going to swing at her with some sort of board or bat. She didn't care much, instead grabbing the length of wood and slamming her fist into his shoulder, popping it out of socket and the weapon into her hand. She threw it towards the water and elbowed another man who was apparently trying to sneak up behind her, causing him to collapse. She spotted the cold gleam of a blade just before one of the thugs tried to slash at one of the workers. She intervened, grabbing his wrist and twisting his arm until his hand opened involuntarily before turning around and slamming him into three of his fellows, sending them all on their backs. She spotted the last three men, all charging at her. She bolted forward, ducking down. One man got a fist to the stomach, the second man a fist to the face, and the last man a fierce kick to the chest. She took a moment to take a breath and glance around at the unconscious thugs and dock workers. "Whew..." she said, before hitting her comm link. "Dock situation's taken care of, where are you guys at?"

Mali, well, she was surprised and not surprised. She wasn't surprised because Tona was pretty ignorant of certain things that someone from Maine wouldn't be ignorant of. She was surprised because the Terminus was the last place she thought Tona would be from. She was stunned into silence for a few moments, before saying. "Okay...that's an interesting story, I'm sure." She said, measuring her words carefully. "I can't even begin to imagine the world you grew up in, Tona." She shook her head. The Terminus was a land of nightmares and monsters to her, not a real place. She'd never been there, and she hoped she never would be.

Jelly beans were technically something she should usually avoid, but she wasn't about to pass up the opportunity to have fun, to race. She bolted through Claremont's hallways, jumping tables and avoiding obstacles. Her natural agility and acrobatic training came in handy as much in play as it did in combat. She assumed she would be in last place, simply because she hadn't been to that room nearly as much as the other two, and Sam, well, Sam had her powers. Still, it was a valid reason to have fun.
-
Mali climbed into the front seat of her car, and hoped that Tona, this time, would be a little more comfortable in the vehicle. She had already done a few things like this night, so she wasn't as wound up about what happened as the rest had been. Though the reason was that she'd kinda sorta engaged in a little unsupervised hero work...and lied about her age. Ah, well, everyone came home safe and sound, and that's all that mattered. They pulled into Claremont and Mali turned the car off. She was actually kind of hoping they'd run into trouble. That would let her get an assessment of what Tona, Cerys and Sam could do. All of them certainly had skills and useful abilities. They were also nice people, which was also very important. She'd fight beside any of them again, if that's what it came to. There was no doubt about that.

Crimson Tiger decided that this just wasn't going to pass. She jumped onto the boat and made for the pair, deciding she wasn't about to let Smythe hurt her friend, nor was she going to let them all go down with the boat. Not while she could do anything to stop it. She would lift them bodily from the water if need be. She wasn't going to let the idiot Smythe die either. Not on her watch.
-
Welp, got a 28

Crimson Tiger decided to sit and watch the fighting. If something bad broke out, she could jump in and try to help. She doubted truly superhuman opponents were present, but she didn't consider it impossible. Anyone with enough power could probably earn money as muscle, instead of in this arena. So she stood, kept out of sight, and watched carefully. Not just the fights, but the whole area.

Crimson Tiger looked around herself, and sighed. This was annoying. She could take the whole group down, but she didn't want to get too badly separated from her allies. That, and she didn't want these guys risking injury. "Hey, look guys, do you really want to do this? I mean, this is getting out of hand, and we all know that if you fight, the police might show up. They'll likely just arrest all of you instead of who you want to be arrested. So you'll end up spending a night in jail. You also might get hurt. is that what...you...want...?" It was obvious, then, that her efforts were wasted. Oh, well, and she didn't want to do this, but they gave her no choice.
-
With that, Mali turned to where the real target ran off to. She didn't know if Blue Jay and Kit would need her help, but she certainly wouldn't let them take her on alone if they did. So she took off, as fast as she could, for where they went. She vaguely hoped that Blodeuwedd would follow behind as she did so, but wasn't worried. She needed to make sure Tona and Sam were okay.
-
Mali trusts her skills and strength, she trusts herself to put them down nonlethally. She doesn't trust them to do the same. So, her intention is to put both sides down, knock all of them out, so that nobody dies or gets severly injured.
-
Crimson Tiger reallly doesn't want this to turn into a fight, so she's gonna try diplomacy... and roll a 13 yeah that's probably nto going to work 21 on initiative, in case the diplomatic solution does not work

Mali lowered her eyes and sighed. She was glad he was back, but after all the emotional turmoil of that day, it was hard to just be happy about it. "Glad to have you back, Sharl." She sort of mumbled. She was smiling, but not upset, or happy. Dimly, she was aware that this meant she could finally put that day behind her and look forward. Ever since finding out he could come back, she was on an emotional cliff, uncertain and consumed with confusion and doubt. "Everyone was so upset. I spoke to Cobalt Templar and told him the news. He took it bad, before I found out you'd be coming back. I, I think you should let him know you're okay."

As I'm currently typing this post on the aforementioned PC, all that drama and angst was for naught. This thing is nowhere near ready to rock just yet. I'm having some weird errors, and I'll end up just up and reloading a brand new OS soon, but I can and WILL get this thing up and running in a day or two. System isn't even that bad. Gig of RAM, 256 MB video card, not great, not bad. Suffice it to say, I ain't going anywhere just yet

Nearest library is more than a mile away, Cubist. I can't walk far enough to get to it on a regular basis.

So, I have bad news. The laptop I was using to connect to the site and post with, has died. I do not know yet to the extent it is dead. I may be able to fix it, I may not. There is another computer that ran last I tried to boot it, but it was infected. I can potentially restore it and get another computer up and running. There is a chance, no matter how small, that said computer could be dead completely. There is a chance, no matter how small, that both of my options are dead ends. In the event that both are dead ends, I cannot post as I have been. I will not disappear entirely, but I will be gone for long stretches, and may eventually disappear completely, as I won't have a computer at home. I will know more tonight or tomorrow, and will know for sure by next Saturday (that's when my more qualified tech friends will be able to get a look at it) So, this means that my presence here is...vague. I may or may not vanish all but completely. I'm telling you this now in case I won't be able to for a while, like a week or more of vanishing. I hope I can get at least one of those computers running and online before too long, but it is possible (though very unlikely) that both systems are simply irretrievably dead, and I have no replacement system at that point. I hope it isn't, but this may be goodbye

ic This Was A Triumph [Outside] (IC)
Thunder King replied to Avenger Assembled's topic in The Realms Beyond
Mali spotted Tona, standing there, staring. Her heart broke a bit, seeing the look of confusion and anguish. "TONA!" She shouted, bolting across the yard. She reached the girl and all but tackled her. "Oh god is it good to see you!" She said, hugging Tona close. "I know it looks bad, but trust me, it's not as bad as it looks. An explosion went off, things look worse than they are. Oh, my goodness it's good to have you home!" -
Crimson Tiger climbed up the side of the building with relative ease. Compared to some of the things she had climbed before, this was easy. She merely had to be careful. Of course, the way things were going lately, she'd probably stumble into a robbery or drug dealers or something. That's how things usually went. Then she'd have to knock some poor idiots out, and they'd end up in jail. Then she stopped. No, that was a cocky way of thinking. Cockiness could get her hurt, or killed. 'here lies Mali Benjawan; one cocky kid.' bad idea. Always take every threat seriously. Even if the person is pointing the gun in the wrong direction. Even if it looks like they couldn't throw a punch if you attached wings to it. Never, ever underestimate anyone. That's how people die. She shook her head and psyched herself back up. She could be proud when she won. Not one moment before.

"Yup." Mali said with a smile. "You must be...Kat? We know some of the same people, but it seems we've never met each other before. Glad that's changed." She smiled pleasantly and warmly. "I don't usually spar with weapons, but I've trained with them. I'm just sitting here, watching and hanging out. I'll probably end up going over and working the heavy bag for a while. If either of you want to spar though, say the word. I'll grab one of the practice swords and give it a shot." She smiled and put her bag down before sitting down on a nearby bench. Etain was quite a bit better, but Kat was no amateur. She didn't want to critique the girl's form, that would be very rude. Still, if she was asked, she would be honest. As far as she was concerned, moderate to advanced melee training should be on everyone's list of things to do. It would be crazy, even possibly suicidal, to assume you'd always have your powers, or gadgets, or what-have-you available. Kat and Etain had the right idea. It was why she started using her chakram, after all. Give her options when her usual schtick of walk up and hit it hard didn't work. "You guys have the right idea, though." She said, with a smile. "Your powers or gadgets may work ninety-nine times out of one hundred, but you absolutely do not want to be caught helpless when that one time comes up. I carry a set of chakram. They're round, edged, and made of metal. If I have a flying opponent, or someone so tough I can't take a hit from them, I throw them. It's not a perfect solution, but I don't want to be caught unable to defend myself."

The first. She's trying to listen in on the voices and see what they're talking about
