Despite being struck by the brute, Voltage was not deterred. He knew that Mindfire was an amoral sociopath who could wreak far more harm than just physical. He flew above the larger, physically imposing man and, once he was fairly certain he was out of range, fired a blast of electricity at Mindfire. He did not recognize the new hero right away, but he knew there were hundreds of heroes in Freedom City, and assumed that, since she came to help, she was no danger. Based on her approach, likely a speedster. Those were always handy to have around. Distraction for foes, able to rain blows with relative impunity. Very effective. "The woman is Mindfire, an incredibly dangerous, sociopathic psychic. I'm going to put her down first, because the kind of power she wields can do far more damage to people than physical harm." He shouted down to Velocity.

yeah no Got an 11 on the first roll, burning an HP for... better a 27 Flying out of reach, blasting Mindfire again

27...whew

Voltage's instantaneous internet exploration determined, with certainty, that the woman was more dangerous. True, the man's powers made him a very dangerous foe, but Voltage knew that Mindfire was a sadistic, cruel and vicious woman. He'd rather take down a sadist than a brute any day of the week. It was simple, really. Always take out the wildcard, and psychics were always wildcards. You couldn't predict them, and they often didn't even display anything when using their powers. Simple tactics, really. Silvery current flowed through his arms and into his hands, before he fired a blast directly at Mindfire. She seemed less than thrilled to be struck, as the pain and damage were evident. Good start so far.

July, 2012 Voltage opened his eyes. He had finally located the elusive Dr. Green. The man had evaded capture and had kept under the radar far too easily. Despite meticulously avoiding leaving any trace whatsoever, the man had finally, finally tipped his hand. Voltage's weeks of vigilance had paid off. He also knew the man to be evasive and dangerous. There was no more time for games, and no time to let him move his base of operations again. He stood up and changed into his costume. He mentally fired an email to King of Suits, the ally he had fought beside the first time he fought Green. Second, he sent another message to Stormbreaker, the second person he had fought Dr. Green beside. I have located Dr. Green. I believe he has decided upon a dangerous and deadly course of action. We have only a few days in which to stop him. Otherwise, he may move base again. I do not know what he plans, but he's too dangerous to allow free. He has killed or nearly killed several people. Meet me at the following address, it's an empty warehouse on the waterfront. From there, I will teleport us to his base of operations, where we can take him down." He turned towards the window and sighed. This was going to be rough. He knew that Green had gathered more helpers, more people who believed in his mad schemes. More sacrifices on his road to divine power.

Crimson Tiger nodded to Papercut. "Not a problem." She dashed back outside and hopped into the Wonderbus. A bit of maneuvering later, and she backed it up closer to the containers. She hopped back out of the Wonderbus. "There, now the horrific chemicals can be safely disposed of, without killing anyone." This had turned out better than she hoped it would. She was sure that someone knew someone that could dispose of the containers without any great risk. Still, the longer the stuff was around, the more unease she felt about it.

Voltage is genre savvy. He knows that when you have a big guy and a small girl, the small one is always dangerous in a more insidious way. Blasting; 29 Also, trying to figure out who these people are; Using computers to substitute for gather information (as per the Online Research feat), and using his mental quickness so they're both free actions; 44 for Mindfire ...also 44 for the big guy?

Actually he's teleporting. That's how I describe his teleport, sorry. 16 on Initiative

"Okay, we need to find a safe, secure place to put it, and then destroy it. It's too dangerous to keep around for long." Mali said. She was relieved to hear her say all of that. Knowing that this world wouldn't suffer some sort of apocalyptic plague was a relief. Didn't mean bad things weren't coming, just not as bad. Then she turned to the others. "Okay, now what do we do?" She said. She was just there to help, not in charge of either planning or acting.

"I may prefer to fight up close, but I can sneak just fine." Crimson Tiger said with a smile. "And yeah, bad idea to go back to the car in costume, especially since it's my car. If we're all there, there's no reason to relay information. If you think your teleportation can carry us all safely, than it's okay with me." Getting caught in costume in her car was not her idea of a good plan. Last thing she needed was thugs knocking down her door for revenge. On foot was far better.

I really, really want in on this, with either Solar Sentinel or Voltage involved. I really like the idea behind it, and want to be as big a part of it as I can.

"I doubt you are the only one worried, Mali." He said with a smile. "It will be hard, but I have faith in you." Mali nodded. "I know dad, I just..." "Who are you?" "Mali Benjawan..." She said, confused. "No, that is your name. Who are you?" "Crimson Tiger." "No, that is your heroic name. Who are you?" "I am Mali Benjawan, daughter of Annan and Apsari Benejawan, and great granddaughter of the hero Anuman Benjawan, also known as the Black Tiger. I am the Crimson Tiger." She said, fire in her eyes. "You do not carry this burden alone." Annan said with a smile. "You are strong, you carry the spirit of your family in you. It will be tough, and you will have trouble. You may see horrifying things. But you can be strong enough, and you will. I believe in you." Mali smiled, stood up, and hugged her father. He was right. This would be very difficult. All the horrors she had seen were that much more of a reason to help the people on Erde. With her resolve strengthened, she left the room and resolved to go to the workout room.

"Well, yes and no. I mean, from what I hear, trips to alternate universes are almost routine, and that part is kind of scary, but it's like skydiving. You can't help being a little scared, even when you trust the equipment. It's more that...well, these are Nazis, dad." "And you paid attention in history class." He said. "Yeah, exactly." She looked down. "I don't know what kind of things I'll see, I mean, I've seen pictures of war zones, battles, bodies, but nothing like that up close." Annan reached forward and put his hand on his daughter's shoulder.
-
Annan, her father, was briefly startled, making an obvious conclusion. "Is this about a boy..." Mali shook her head. "No! I mean, no, it's not about that. I mean, um...okay, so, I might be doing something dangerous, or, I'm probably going to end up doing something dangerous. I'm worried...I mean..." "Go on..." Annan said, curious. "Okay, so, basically, I'm going to go with some friends, to another world, and save some people from Nazis." "That...that is different, yes." Annan said. "And you're scared that something might go wrong?"

Mali was resting at home, during the holiday break. Normally, it was a wonderful time for her, a time to relax, enjoy the holiday, and gather her energy for the coming year. This was not a year like that. The future was uncertain, with her duties with Young Freedom taking her somewhere else, an alternate universe under the iron grip of the Nazi regime. As such, it was tough to enjoy herself. She walked into her father's private office and sat down. He was reading, something he often did when he had a quiet moment to himself. "Dad, can we talk?"
-
"I can't pretend to understand your burden." She admitted. She couldn't understand telepathy, or how his control was lax. She figured you can't always control yourself, but living with a super power you had trouble controlling was much worse. "I'm sorry if that sounds harsh, but you seem like a cool guy for wanting to control it. Everybody has their own struggles to live with, and it's not always something other people can understand." Though, she kind of pitied him. She understood herself and her abilities. She had control over her body and mind. The idea that there was a part of you, a big part of you, that you didn't understand and couldn't control seemed really hard to deal with. Elias seemed that much cooler of a person for striving to deal with that as well as he was.

He chuckled. "Those are called fries. They're made from an indigenous starchy plant, called a potato. Potatoes are a major staple food all around the world, made in a lot of different ways. Fries, especially those, are cut, fried in oil, and salted." He shrugged. They hadn't been nearly as common when he left as they were when he got back, so naturally, he'd read up on them, and a lot of other things. "Glad to see you like them." He said with a nod.
-
He would have smiled, if it weren't for the mask. He nodded and motioned her to follow him. He knew a nice little restaurant that sold burgers, and he'd actually eaten there in costume a couple of times. They flew down to the restaurant and Solar Sentinel bought a sandwich and fries for both of them. Then, with food in hand he took off into the air to a building he knew would be vacant, figuring she might not want a lot of attention from Earthlings. He handed her the food he bought and stood nearby. He was also pretty hungry, so he figured he might as well take a break.
-
"I am called Solar Sentinel. That's not my real name, but it's what I introduce myself as. As far as food is concerned, you probably don't have any money, and I have no idea what kinds of foods those are. If you can tell me what kind of food you like in general terms I might be able to help you with that." He knew a few places to get a decent meal for a good price. "As far as friendship is concerned I think we can manage that. You sound like some people we have on Earth. I'm from a place called Kentucky. Simple folk who live simple lives. Hard work, agriculture, and calm lives."

Thomas grimaced. This was bad. A superhero attack now? He had to take care of it. "Miss, let's get to the back room, it's safer. Never know when one of those heroes or villains might come tumbling through the store window and send shards of glass hurling inward." He grabbed her arm and tugged, firmly, pulling her towards the back room. "Stay here." He said. "I forgot my cell, and I'm going to call the cops." He ran outside and, as he did so, changed into his costume in an instant. The moment after that, he vanished into the air, dissolving into electrical current. With any luck, the girl would be too afraid to poke her head out. He floated over the offending individuals. "I don't know why you're doing this but I suggest you stop."
-
"Sounds like a solid plan to me." He said warmly. "Always nice to see a friendly face, especially when they come from space." "Plent of people from other worlds, too. I myself spent some time off world." He didn't care to admit exactly how much time, but the point was the same. "Any idea as to what you plan to do now that you're here? I recommend we move away from here, bound to attract attention you know."

Alternate dimensions, arguments on the ethics of biological weapons, possibly insane sentient A.I., dead people. This whole situation was beginning to make Mali feel small, and concerned that they were only helping the better guys, instead of the good guys. As such, while the sudden attack was a cause for concern, she was glad to focus on something other than the situation they were dealing with. She took off like a shot towards the Nazis, intent on striking as many of them down as she could. She hopped slightly off the ground as soon as she reached them and extended her right knee. The first soldier collapsed from the impact, sending him flailing backwards. She lashed out to the right of her with a fierce elbow, striking a second soldier in the temple, and knocking him out. She twisted her torso around and delivered a powerful backhand to another man with her left hand, smashing the back of her hand into his face. Turning back around, she lashed out with a vicious snap kick to the midsection of another soldier. She glanced at the other two, and realized they might get a chance to take a shot at her before she could get to them.
