Solar Sentinel spotted the strange craft as it descended, and instantly realized it could only have come from space. He flew faster, aiming at the building. He swooped downward and stopped in mid-air, gazing down at the woman before him. "Hello, Miss?" He said with a friendly nod and tone in his voice. "I can't help but notice, you don't seem to be from around here." He floated in mid-air, glowing slightly blue. He really hoped this one was friendly, tearing up the buildings was a bad idea.

December 21st, 2012 12:00 PM The Solar Sentinel streaked through the sky. It was all part of his daily patrol, flying through the city, just doing his part to keep the city safe. The light blue glow around his body signified that he was going at nowhere near top speed. He was grateful at being somewhat resistant to the cold, as it was quite chilly today. He kept a cell phone, in case he got called in my the fire department, on his belt. All in all, it had been a peaceful day, and he loved flying through the city. He reached the city center, and wasn't sure he'd ever get used to the massive buildings that dotted the landscape. When he'd left Earth nearly a century ago, buildings like that had been very rare. Now, they were everywhere. It was humbling, to say the least.

"Not a problem then, I'll call you when it's done." Thomas said with a smile. Really, once the new part was in it would only take him a few minutes to fix. He watched the girl leave and wondered when his dad would be done with the inventory. So, he sat down behind the counter and waited for another customer.

Mali chuckled. "Oh, I doubt I could become a telepath." She said. "Besides, teaching you doesn't really affect my own workout anyway." It was true, of course. She'd be in this room working out even if she wasn't helping anyone, and though she was always striving to get better, she could always make up for lost time otherwise. Helping someone else was always a good way to help yourself improve at something. Forced you to understand things better, for one. She picked up her stuff. "So, Elias, how'd you become a telepath anyway? I mean, if you want to answer, of of course. Not everyone wants to talk about that stuff."

Thomas smiled. "Data transfer will be 50 dollars. I don't think we have any of those power supplies on hand anyway. We'll get a new shipment in next week. You can either leave the laptop here in the meanwhile, or take it with you and bring it back sometime after Wednesday of next week. Your choice." He wished every job were that easy. A simple data recovery was among the easier jobs he got. Then again, with superhuman intelligence, they were all easy jobs.
-
Thomas picked the laptop up and grabbed a small screwdriver. With practiced ease, he unfastened the screws of the exterior and laid the case on the table. Within a few seconds, the laptop was dismantled, and Thomas held a small silvery object. A few moments later, he plugged the object into the other laptop, and searched for the documents on the hard drive. A few moments later, he handed the flash drive back to Megan. "Emptied the document files onto here. The power supply is shot, which is a shame. I could replace the power supply if you wanted, or the shop could buy the laptop off of you. It'd be an easy refurbish job. It would just be a shame to throw a laptop like this out when the power supply is the only thing wrong with it."
-
Thomas turned to the girl as she caught up to him, and nodded. "That makes things even easier. I'm almost positive that what gave out was the power supply. With any luck, it's the only damaged component. It'll take a few minutes, but extracting the data should be easy." He opened the store door and walked in. "Okay, I'll be back in a moment." He said, disappearing into the door in the back of the room. When he returned, he had a few tools and a laptop. "First I have to take the hard drive out, then hook it up to this, that'll let me open the hard drive, extract the information, and put it somewhere else."
-
It had been a simple matter of grabbing a quick cup of coffee on break. His dad was operating the front counter until he got back. He'd just paid a few moments before when the incident took place. He saw the girl's laptop spark, and knew exactly what it was right away. "Hey, I work at a computer shop." He said, looking it over. "I'm pretty sure I know what's wrong with your computer. If you bring it by, I can take a look at it and at least see what we can do about it, alright?" He asked. "I'd take a look at it now, but I have to get back to the shop, and I don't have any tools with me." He made his way towards the door, coffee in hand.

Probably the first superhero I ever designed. I couldn't have been older than six, maybe seven years old when I invented him. Warlion is a product of the 80s and early 90s, when X-Men was still airing. I tinkered with him off and on as I grew older, and this is what, I think is the purest representation of what I conceived of as a child. From the beginning, his powers were owed to a combination of an alien metallic bioweapon and the blood sample of a lion he was doing tests on. Of course, I didn't know what an 'alien metallic bioweapon' was, but I figured the aliens sent some weird stuff down to Earth that changed people's bodies into metal. I admit, it kinda creeps me out that I invented that as a kid. Either way, he invented the cure, but was permanently a 9 foot tall lion man, with claws and fur made of metal, making him much tougher than an ordinary human.

Disclaimer: What follows are builds from the team I invented as a child; the Fearsome Fighters. I can't guarantee the points will add up, and sometimes, there may be mistakes in the powers. These builds aren't really to be used, but rather as an expression of the ideas I had as a child. If any of these builds strike your fancy, please keep that all in mind. My focus isn't on keeping the rules, but on expressing my childhood ideas. For that reason, if a ref feels these builds are in the wrong place, let me know in a PM and I'll put them in a thread in the right place. Second Disclaimer: Most of these characters owe their origins to a five to seven year old boy, in the early 90s, who's main superhero exposure were the Batman, X-Men and Spider-Man cartoons. They have been refined over the years in various ways, with name changes and more logical power origins. If some of them seem silly and nonsensical, that's mostly why.

"Well, I wouldn't want to disrespect a lady's wishes." He said, accepting the money with a smile. "I was always taught that way, but I don't mind so much. It's your prerogative and I respect that." Of course, he might have to get used to it, but that was hardly a bother. After all, he'd been in space, dealt with aliens. What's the difference between a man and a woman compared to different species? The world was still disappointingly prejudiced, but things were leagues better than they'd been when he left. "I'll call on you in a day or so." He said with a smile. "But I must warn you, I sometimes get called in for emergencies, and I'll be sure to let you know if I do."

Mali could stand it no longer. She was no genius, but the words 'biosphere cleanser' sounded bad. World-ending bad. "But can you guarantee it?" She said, her tone firm, but calm. "Can you guarantee a minimum loss of life? That the only people who die are the ones that absolutely need to? I'm nervous being in the room with this stuff. People die in war, that happens. It sickens me, but you do what you have to to protect yourself and those you care about. I get that. But there are good people out there, not just the Nazis, but innocents. What if someone messes up? What if a stray shot or explosive causes a rupture or, I don't know, any number of mistakes or problems to happen. How fast does it work? Do people die right away, or does it take time? Please, just, be careful with how you use it. I understand that you want to see the Nazis pay for what they did, but there aren't just Nazis at risk."

"He evaded me again!" Voltage roared. He glanced over at his temporary ally. "I've dealt with him before. He's insane. He's got this strange god complex. To think he's gotten all of this technology now. He has to be stopped. I don't know what he wants, but he almost killed someone last time, and with all this new equipment, it can only get worse from here." "I can teleport us back to Freedom City if you like, it's no harder to take a passenger than it is to do it by myself."
-
Mali was fairly certain she was missing something, but said nothing. Everything seemed to be going according to plan. She figured it was best to follow the person who was more or less in charge of the operation. Even though that meant not understanding the conversation at hand. There was a strange interaction between Sharl and the other Tronikian, and Mali wasn't sure why or what was going on, but she figured she'd learn soon enough. It would probably be counter-productive to ask about it just now. There would be time for that later. Things, however, were suspicious. The robots, the containers, everything. She'd have to ask Sharl about that as soon as they were out of earshot. Killing Nazis might be a necessary evil, but biological weapons didn't care about the difference between Nazis and other humans.

He chuckled. "Some things never change. Call on a lady and get a busybody on the other end." He folded the paper with her number on it and placed it in his breast pocket. "In the mean time, I will try to look for places that have dancing, there are bound to be some here. This city has everything, from superheroes to all sorts of cultures." He took out his wallet and laid the money on the table. It wasn't much, and a man should pay anyway. That was what he was always taught. Besides, he had a sneaking suspicion that she wasn't a modern lady either.
-
As soon as Mali saw that things were okay, she stepped out and walked towards where Sharl was, to see him talk to the other Sharl. Man, alternate worlds were weird. She was on alert, looking this way and that, and disguised her alertness under simply looking bored. She stepped in to hear the last bit of their conversation and looked around. "Well, we should get her proof then, huh? She said, nodding politely. As soon as you guys get a plan, Sharl, let me know what my part is, okay?" She said. Despite her reasonable intelligence and ability, she knew she wasn't a tactician. Furthermore, she was completely out of her depth. She trusted Sharl and knew that if Sharl trusted the other Sharl, she should to.

"Okay." She said. "When you spot me in here, just say hi, and we can train together." She said with a smile. She grabbed her water and drank some of it. "In the mean time, just keep working at those hits. It's cliche, but practice makes perfect." She grabbed her stuff. "Either way, I'm going to go grab a bite to eat. You can join me if you like."
-
He smiled. "Why would I mind? I'd like to spend more time with you." He said. Meanwhile, his mind was turning what she said over. Flapper, 'when they legalized alcohol', both spoken like she lived in those areas. With the heroes, and his own immortality, the idea that she'd been alive back then didn't seem strange at all. Unique, and perhaps granting him the opportunity to reveal his own secrets later. "Maybe some time in the next few weeks, we can go to dinner. Maybe find a place that has older style dancing. Assuming you don't mind a man who's years out of practice." He grinned, feeling a bit more at ease.

Voltage growled to himself, and felt the energy surge within him again. He channeled the power into his hands and ignored that strange feeling that once again washed over him. Silvery current coursed through the air and struck the target dead center. Without hesitating, he concentrated again, and blasted another current right dead center at his foe again. How much would it take?

25 hit? Extra effort on this one, too. That'll bring it to 29 on a TOU save

Damage shifting for two... 26! That should be a DC 27 TOU save, 28 if you want to use his new sheet

"Heh, I hear you." Voltage said. "I've seen several inventors, brilliant men and women, who wear powered armor. Each person has their own way of building it, so they seem so different to me. It's really cool to see how versatile technology can be." He handed the buzzing hero a piece of paper. "This is a secure email address, virtually unhackable. If you ever run into any more tech trouble, suit malfunctions, that sort of thing, send me an email. I get the internet in my brain, so I'll get it instantly." He turned to his makeshift workshop. "We heroes have to stick together, after all. There's a lot of bad in the world, and if we plan on making it a better place, we have to work together to fix it."
