  1. 25 on a TOU save...not bad, not bad at all 26 on the attack roll
  2. "I just call it like I see it." He said with a shrug. "Beauty isn't a matter of just looks, but of a good heart, a nice smile, or eyes. Some people are obsessed with the wrong kinds of beauty." "Life moves forward, forever, time never stops or slows down for nobody. I don't want to be a bitter old man, angry and bitter all the time. Life should have joy to it. I've seen people get bitter and angry, that's not my way of doing things. I'm going to continue to adapt as I get older, continue to live my life looking forward." He put his hands in his pockets and kept his eyes open, looking around the area, apparently taking in the decor.
  3. For a moment, he stiffened, it had been a long time since anyone had complimented him on anything at all. He had been in space, surrounded by aliens who, to him, looked as alien as he did to them. In fact, it had been so long that women did not compliment men like that in his day. Ah, must be the new youth, he thought. "Thank you Ma'am..." He said with a bit of nerves in his speech. "The world has changed a great deal within my lifetime." He said gazing up. "Fashions, technology, movies. Everything is so different, sometimes I wonder if I stumbled onto an alien world." He turned and smiled to her. "It's good to know, though, that beautiful women don't change even when the times do."
  4. My laptop has died...again, the same way it did before. I should be able to fix it, but gathering the resources and means could take days, or even weeks. My posting shouldn't stop, but it shouldn't speed up at all either.
  5. "Costume?" He said, obviously confused for a moment. "Oh, my clothes. I like to dress up on occasion, I think some things never stop looking good." He said, holding up his hat as to show it to her. "to be honest, it's been so long since I've seen this that it'll practically be a new movie to me." He kept having to remind himself to use modern day speech. It wouldn't do much for his secret identity to break out with sayings from the turn of the century. "It's the best time of year to see a movie like this." He said, gazing up at the marquee. "...though the world sure has changed." He muttered to himself.
  6. New character up and live. Solar Sentinel, cosmic paragon with extras. Looking for a cool introduction thread. Something fun, with a bit of combat to try out the new build. Link is in my signature. Anybody care to join me?
  7. "Henry Mason." He said, shaking her head. "I saw this show many, many years ago. I saw that they were doin' a special Halloween showing, and I just had to see it, for old time's sake." He smiled his best, nicest smile. "I wouldn't worry too much about dumping things on me, I can take it. We all got burdens to bear, and, sometimes, they're just too heavy to handle alone." He did not know who this sad woman was, quite yet, but there was certainly something intriguing about her.
  8. Henry smiled a little sad smile, having remembered all of his friends from his military days. His friends in the Zarnashi military. So many people he left behind, or watched die. For a moment, he too was caught up in a melancholy mood. "Well, it sounds like I reminded you of someone special." He said with his best sympathetic smile. "Have you seen this show before?" He said, trying to distract this sad woman from her mood. He wasn't much good for this sort of thing, but he could at least try.
  9. Voltage was floored. Some of the greatest geniuses in all of Freedom City could not hope to so much as see the inside of this lab, and here he was, getting invited in. He shook his head for a moment, his mind running a million miles an hour. "Wow, um. Sure! This is a tremendous honor, and I accept!" He said, before he let his mind get away from him, he couldn't let this opportunity get away, not in a million years. He probably looked nervous, but, that couldn't be helped. Super genius intellect didn't come with incredible acting ability, or great courage. But, he was ready for whatever they threw at him. Whatever came next, he was ready...if not a bit nervous.
  10. Henry spun on his heels at the impact. He had intended to be polite regardless, but at least wanted to know the face of the aggressor and, if necessary, defend himself. He had not expected to see the short, sharply dressed woman before him. Her clothing seemed odd, and he wondered if she was truly at the theater to see the same movie. "Ma'am..." He said with a polite nod of his head. His voice was deep, with a hint of gravel to it, an edge of roughness that showed his age. It was colored with a splash of a southern drawl and the hints of something exotic and foreign. "If I was in your way, I apologize." He gave a bit of a grin to show that yes, he was aware she ran into him, but no, he wasn't bothered. He didn't think much of her odd appearance. After so long in space, every human appeared odd to him from time to time.
  11. Saturday, October 20th The cab pulled up near the theater, and Henry handed the money to the driver before opening the door and stepping out. He drew himself to his full height, over six feet, and walked towards the door. Black leather shoes tapped against the pavement as he strolled towards the door of the small theater. He was clearly out of place. He wore a long coat over a buttoned up shirt and slacks. There were a pair of black leather shoes visible under the coat and a hat sat on his head. He knew wearing a hat like that in public was long out of style, but he felt naked without it. Men just wore hats in public more often in his time, he supposed. As soon as he was inside, he politely removed his hat and was surprised to see a short line of about fifteen to twenty people. None of them dressed remotely like him, of course, but he could forgive changing fashions after nearly a century away from Earth.
  12. Mali was getting sick and tired of this sexist, egotistical, illusion-using jerk. She suddenly jumped up past him as he slowly went to block her. Way too little, way too late. As soon as she arrived on the other side of him, she pivoted on the ball of her left foot, faster than he could possibly react. Her foot shot up and slammed into the back of his head like a crack of thunder. Right between the skull and the spinal column, a place she knew would knock him right out if he was physically a normal human. Turned out, she was right. "Goodnight you sexist pig. Hope you wake up with a heck of a headache." She wasn't sure if he could hear her, but that didn't matter. She said that more for her own benefit.
  13. Total power attack shift! Got a 26! That's a DC26 TOU save! Burning a hero point to make sure she doesn't have to roll a miss chance! (unless that power doesn't apply anymore, which, yeah, ignore that statement)
  14. Okay, fast acrobatic bluff; 32! good roll! How i attack depends on whether or not he falls for that.
  15. Voltage panted, this guy was beginning to get on his nerves. He just would not go down. "Stay down!" He roared, sending another silvery blast through his foe's body. He wanted to stop Dr. Green, whatever he was trying to do. Still, his foe was hurt, but not yet down. Voltage knew what had to be done, he knew what he had to do to knock the enemy out. It wasn't going to be easy, though.
  16. Voltage is tired of this guy, so he's going to blast with a damage shifted attack; and probably succeed on a 27 DC27 TOU save
  17. Voltage was growing tired of these foes, his enemy, the true target, was getting away, and this wasn't good. He vanished into silvery current and turned, blasting the enemy who targeted him from a respectable range. The foe convulsed for a moment as the blast coursed through his body, no doubt effected by the sudden burst of energy.
  18. Voltage was nervous. Very nervous. Extremely nervous, in fact. He looked at the mirror mirror again, for what was probably the twentieth time. He'd gotten a haircut that day, something neat, something uncharacteristically short. He'd had long-ish hair for years, but in a setting like this, he wanted to look professional. He fidgeted again as he glanced at his prematurely gray hair, this was annoying. Smart as he was, and he was still extremely nervous about something like this. Costume was in order, everything else was in order. So, he suddenly vanished, reappearing outside the Lab, and walked into the building. He waited, his patience completely shot as he stared forward. He stepped forward and walked where he knew the gathering was. He knew he wasn't late, but was still concerned about impressions. "Uh, hi." He said, obviously nervous.
  19. 24 on an attack Voltage is going to teleport out of range of this guy and keep blasting.
  20. Mali nodded politely and smiled. "Nice to meet you." She said. Part of her wished that she could have just taken off, seeing the sights of Freedom City from the air, but, that wouldn't have been nice. Besides, she figured that things would be fun anyway. She kind of stepped back mentally when she heard the word 'teammates'. She supposed it was true, but she had limited experience on the actual team. It would take time to get the whole 'team' thing situated in her head, she supposed.
  21. Mali grinned and, for a moment, seemed to consider the offer. "Nah, wouldn't be nice. Besides, it'll be fun." She gazed around, still apparently giddy from the flight. This was so much cooler than her car, and rivaled riding her bike. She'd already decided that, at some point, she'd offer to take Koshiro riding with her. She wondered, briefly, if Sharl and his date had already been there. It was certainly possible, perhaps they'd arrived and went to do something? She decided that she'd be patient. "Might as well wait a bit for them to show up." Koshiro's powers were certainly interesting, if nothing else. She admired the versatility and skill that had to be involved in such a power set. She wondered what all he could do with it, and looked down at her hands momentarily. She wondered, not for the first time, why they'd invite a girl like her on the team. Sure, she could fight, but, was that good enough?

  25. Probably going to be disappearing every weekend for the foreseeable future. Got a regular Pathfinder game going, and due to the location (and transportation issues), I'll end up spending most of my weekends there instead of at home, and they have no internet atm. I'll still be here all week though!
