Voltage really wants to know who this guy is, so I'm going to use Online Research to make a Gather Information check to see if there's any news or information on the internet about someone with this M.O. 30

GM The crowd of school children were lead towards the exhibit, those that hadn't been excited before were certainly getting there now. These weren't real dinosaurs, obviously, but they still looked, and sounded, the part. THUD THUD The sound was loud, loud enough to get the attention of everyone in the area. THUD Within less than a minute, the sound of screaming could be heard. Soon after, the crowd of children and their chaperones, still screaming, ran out of the exhibit area. It was the kind of running you only did out of stark terror. THUD, THUD, THUD Faster and faster the thudding came and then it arrived, walking into the main chamber of the museum. They were supposed to be animatronic, rooted firmly to the displays. They should have fallen apart as soon as they came off their mounts. They clearly weren't. The most obvious one was over forty feet long and stood about twenty feet tall. It didn't take a paleontologist to know that it was the Tyrannosaurus Rex.

"That would be great, but no, I still have to see. I'm pretty sure we can handle whatever he throws at us though. It's been ordinary thugs so far, and these traps aren't especially tough. But this is suspicious... He floated a few inches off the ground to make sure he didn't step on any pressure-plates or traps on his way down. Never could be too careful. The thug may have lied, or may not have been told everything. Green was a psychopath, but a crafty psychopath. Best not tempt fate.

Voltage sighed. He wasn't really the type to tie people up. He grabbed some straps from the gurneys and tied them up quickly, hoping they wouldn't just get out. "Leave the electrical traps to me. Electricity can't harm me, so if I accidentally trigger it..." He shrugged and looked towards the entrance. Green! That guy again? Last time he'd seen him, he'd nearly killed someone. He wouldn't get away this time, not if Voltage had to hunt him down. Stormbreaker was an interesting ally. Egotistical, but effective. Plus she seemed to have her own space ship. Someone to keep an eye on, he supposed.

GM Monday, August 13 2:00 PM The Hunter Natural History Museum was a bustling place, buzzing with talk about the new animatronic dinosaur exhibit that was on loan for a few weeks. Over the next few weeks, virtually every elementary school in Freedom City would send their children to the museum to see the wonderful exhibit. They were supposedly the most lifelike dinosaurs ever constructed, and were on a tour. They'd already been in New York, and were now in Freedom City. A group of school children on a field trip were taking the tour, guided by chaperones. Some of them were interested, others were bored out of their minds. The dinosaurs themselves were in a specially outfitted area, with models of ancient plants from the dinosaur era scattered about.

Well, that sounded just awesome. Attack drones, ready to blow up the Goodman Building. And here he thought he'd be enjoying a nice concert today. "We've got to intercept those drones." He said, more to himself than anyone else. It looked like Miss Americana was in charge of what was going on, so he waited for her lead. Besides, he'd never dealt with anything like this before. Better have someone more experienced on hand to help in case something went...wrong. Last thing he needed was some heavy ordinance explosives going off literally in his face. Having to be buried in pieces was not on his list of things to do. Whoever the Foundry was, they really wanted Dr. Atom dead. He wasn't about to let that happen, not while he could stop it.

Lord Steam and the Clockwork Assassins (IC)
Thunder King replied to Thunder King's topic in North Bay
GM The building was a modern apartment complex, pretty upscale and probably quite expensive. Walker Black's apartment was one of the highest ones, near the penthouse. Lord Steam's devices were perfect for the job, enabling the Victoriana native to scale the outer walls of the building easily. It didn't take very long at all for him to reach the top. That is, about ten minutes. However, Lord Steam was in excellent physical condition, and easily capable of climbing that surface without undo strain. He neared the window and found it empty, or, at the very least, having the appearance of being empty... -
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Office (IC)
Thunder King replied to Raveled's topic in Wading Way
"Crap, crap, crap!" He thought to himself. Jessica's gait suggested some form of emergency. How on earth was he supposed to handle this? She was likely going to need to use his hero identity. She was a superhero herself. Ironclad, a trusted (albeit relatively new) hero in the community. She had more experience than Voltage in the hero business. She had about a year on him or so, but in hero terms that could be a long time. So he had a couple of options. The first was right out. He wasn't about to let his new friend (Could he call her a friend? An acquaintance? Colleague?) fight this threat alone, not just to save his identity. The second was to lie and run off, then pop back in as Voltage. She'd probably not fall for that. It'd be an insult to her intellect to assume she wouldn't make the connection. She wouldn't feel offended, well, probably not. Most heroes had secret identities, after all. She couldn't blame him for protecting his. The third option was to simply admit who he was. Let her know she had an ally in the situation. They'd already teamed up once before, so it was possible she already knew! So, he swallowed his pride and decided that just telling her was the best option. Besides, he could use a friend in the hero business. Couldn't hurt. He instantly reached out with his powers and shut off the security cameras. "Look, it seemed like there was some trouble...some super-villain or wannabe villain. There's no easy way to say this, but, I'm Voltage. If you hear that there was some security issue with the cameras in this elevator later? That was me." With that, he discorporated into electrical current and vanished. He was behind the building in an instant, his costume on. He fired off an email from one of his proxy emails and sent it to Jessica, letting her know that he was waiting for an excuse to come help. The moment she sent anything to signal him, he'd be there as if he'd just showed up to help. -
He was grateful that Ironclad managed to secure him. As soon as 'Ace' was down, Voltage's eyes scanned the area for something heavy and metallic. Picking up the same piece he used before, he slammed it into Ace, knocking the wind out of him. He didn't, of course, want to hurt him. The man was obviously possessed by something. So it was only enough force to knock him out. Luckily, Voltage knew enough about human anatomy to avoid lethal blows. "That was bad..." He understated. "Whatever that was may be able to find a new victim. We have to be very wary..." He looked to Ironclad and nodded nervously. It was like playing Whack-a-Mole, except the mole was some sort of incorporeal electrical entity...and the holes were people.

Mali lead her into the store and passed by several outfits. They showed a variety of amounts of skin, ranging from very modest to very...not modest. Mali shuddered inwardly at the thought of her parents catching her in some of the clothes. Still, despite her skill and talent in martial arts, she had at least a passing eye for fashion and how to make it work. She also kept a look out for something appropriate for herself and the other two girls. Something for Tona's tan skin and dark hair, Cerys' dark brown hair and Caucasian tone, and something for Sam's vibrant hair and porcelain skin. The focus was on Tona, but she wasn't about to let her other friends go without something new, too. Or herself. She hadn't anticipated going out to a club or anything, so she decided that she, too, needed a new outfit. "Let's go with something cute..." She said to Tona. "Modest, not too much skin. Probably a darker tone, like a blue or a gray, maybe black. We don't want you feeling uncomfortable in your own clothes, after all..."
-
"Okay, see, sometimes you dress to look good, like if you have to dress up for something. Or if you are on a date, or going to a club. Any time you want to meet boys is a good example. Dressing to look good can make a good impression on people. It kinda sucks that people are so shallow that they base their opinions on how you look, but, there's not much you can do about that." Mali said as she looked the outfits in the windows over. "This outfit, for example. The colors all compliment one another, notice how the grays and the blues look good together. Bright colors shouldn't be in the same outfit as other bright colors. They clash, better use a combination of brighter colors with more subtle colors. A bright red looks good with black, though a lot of colors look good with black. The lines of the cloth should also compliment the body of the wearer, accentuate the positive, downplay the negative. I don't like showing off my arms, so I always wear something that at least reaches my elbows. Now, showing some skin isn't necessarily bad, but it's important to avoid looking tacky or worse. You definitely don't want to wear something too low cut or with too short of a skirt. It looks bad, and others tend to get a bad impression of you." She gave Tona a quick appraisal, up and down, and said. "Dark colors would look good on you. Something that accentuates your complexion, perhaps? Definitely something that brings out your eyes. We should find some make-up for you too, make your eyes pop..." She smiled and turned towards the store. She hoped Tona wasn't completely overwhelmed.

Edit'd by Fox Considerable rebuild of Crimson Tiger. Rearranged her attacks, increased her offensive shift even more towards attack. Boosted her up to her new PL9 caps. Added a few feats, removed one. Changed it so her name says Mali Benjawan instead of Benjawan Mali. Edit'd by Fox

Okay, using an HP to grab Power Attack, then hitting the bound and helpless Ace with something metal to make sure he stays down; 18 That's a DC 30 TOU save.

With a flick of the wrist, a bolt of energy cascaded through the air and slammed into the other guard. Not near enough to knock him out, but enough to show that Voltage could have hurt him if it was his intention. Voltage was well aware that his scrawny body and average looks did not, in any way, constitute someone 'scary'. He did, however, float menacingly with his arms crossed, letting electricity arc off his body in short, silvery bursts. He wasn't especially scary, but he hoped that he would add to Stormbreaker's prowess and at least not ruin what she was doing. He was, however, going to leave the questioning to her, and just float there looking somewhat scary.

With all that settled, Mali changed the station to a local rock station, playing energetic but not extremely heavy rock. Within a few moments, the car pulled up to one of Mali's favorite shopping spots. It wasn't one of the more expensive places, because Mali knew the other girls might not like paying what Mali usually paid for clothes. Still, it was a good store, with good looking clothes and decent prices. She turned the car off and opened her door. "We're here. Shall we go in?" Her plan was simple, though she didn't say anything. Even though they were here for Tona, she fully intended to make sure everyone walked away with a nice new outfit. It wasn't all that much to her. Besides, if they were going to end up at a club, they needed to do so in style.
-
Voltage's mind instantly began determining the best course of action. "Enemy may exhibit the same kind of immunity I possess. No use wasting an attack on a foe who can't feel it. Plus, Ironclad seems badly damaged, can't let this guy get another chance at hurting her." He looked around for a moment and spotted a piece of the ambulance. A non-essential piece of the door. "Sorry about this!" He said as the piece dislodged itself and flew at the back of Ace's head. It was angled in a way so that the broad side of the door hit him. Minimal chance of severe injury. Ace staggered forward, dazed by the large piece of metal.

Not that Jubatus can't join, but the whole thing you just described has nothing to do with how it's going to go down. Of course, being as fast as he is, Jubatus doesn't have to be in the museum when everything goes crazy to be part of it. I may or may not be available this weekend. If I'm not, the thread will be posted first thing next week. If I am, it'll be posted by Sunday. SpicyWaffle, please give me confirmation one way or another by Sunday, :)

Mali laughs out loud at Tona's disapproval over the music. It seems that wherever she came from, teenagers are still the same. She grinned wide and laughed out loud. "Not laughing at you, Tona..." She said, smiling. "What you said is funny, and I'm glad we have some things in common. Okay, so, let's put it to a vote on the music. What do you guys think we should listen to? I know of a great rock station, nothing really heavy, but, you know, energy." They were getting to the clothing store slowly, with Mali making sure not to drive so fast as to scare Tona again. Besides, she thought, Tona would already be in for a shock when they started looking at clothes.

What: Animatronic dinosaurs suddenly come to life and go on a rampage. Who: two to four characters, any PL Basically, a museum is hosting an animatronic dinosaur exhibit, but someone decides to really have some fun and they go crazy. This is my first ever thread wherein I manage more than one character that isn't my own. NOTE: Please don't volunteer characters that could put down robots easily. A battle against animatronic dinosaurs is no fun if you just shut them off. This is going to be a short, fun thread with robot dinosaurs on the loose. No great, complex plot, just good-old-fashioned combat and fun.

Burning an HP to get 5 ranks in intimidate...and gets a 13. Voltage is not scary at all.

Rather than try to electrocute someone who might also be immune to it, he's going to grab the nearest magnetic, metal object (that isn't going to cause any problems by being grabbed) and hit the guy with it with his magnetic control. 18

Mali noticed Sam reaching for the radio, and reached her own hand to tune it. Within a few moments, she picks up a nice jazz station. She smiles. "That what you were looking for?" She said, knowing about the only station that played music on the AM band. Instantly, the car filled up with the pleasant, light sounds of jazz music. Mali didn't say a word to Sam, she merely hoped that the other girl understood that it was rude to mess with another person's car. Either way, not worth making a fuss over.
-
Mali nodded and stood up, grabbed the roof of the car and, after a bit of fiddling, pulled it over the car. She worked quickly, with practiced ease as she latched it on. "There, now you won't feel like it's going so fast." She said with a smile. Poor Tona, she thought, how bad had her life been before this? What had the poor girl been through? Mali felt that Tona would say one day, once she was more comfortable. Ah, well, in the mean time, Mali would make sure that Tona had fun. No matter how bad her life had been before, Mali resolved to help make her life better. Even if she weren't able to be truly happy again, she could at least live a life without constant, overwhelming danger.
-
Mali sighed, visibly relieved that Tona was calming down. "I can go slower, that's not a problem." She gave Tona another hug. "I can also put the roof up, so you won't feel us going as fast." She said. "Whatever makes you more comfortable." Mali waited, calmly, for Tona to calm down, for her to realize she was in no danger. She just stayed slightly crouched, reinforcing that her friends were still there, and that she was okay. "I'm sorry, Tona, I should have realized you wouldn't like that. But it's okay, I'll go slower."
