"Of all the impetuous things to do that is probably the worse thing they could have done!" luckily no one was close enough to see the smile on her face "Someone should probably go help calm the woman, I'm not sure a giant snake is the thing she needs to see right now." As she spoke she prepared for the oncoming guards, deploying her armour, the gleaming white hidden under local robes. The with a flying leap she positioned herself on the roof of the nearest building, hidden behind it chimney, and clicking together her Power Pike and resting it on her shoulder ready when needed to make a stunning shot.

Sitara held onto the controls and steered the craft as best as she could, the ship complained but held itself together pretty well, she might have to reconsider her original opinion of this craft. "Okay, I've going to try and land the ship safely. I suggest you make comet fall and make sure that there are no nasty surprises waiting for us." With a mere thought her gleaming white armour deployed across her body, not that she was expecting trouble more planning in case the craft use oxygen. "Time is, as usual, short and the situation dire, the perfect condition for the Praetorians to act!"

"I'm not yet ready to call you Codex as something to be abandoned without another thought. I'm sure it's something you've worked on for a very long time. But like anything important, it needs examination and maybe even argument. I've spent a couple of decades raising children it been a while since I've been able to debate anything so serious." she gave a little smile at the Neanderthal before continuing "A code without heart will only give permission to use the letter over the spirit of the code to allow people to get exactly what they want."

Klara mused for a few moments to consider before she answered, obviously considering what Mr Murk had laid out. "I've spent the last few decades among humans getting to really know them at their worst and there best, I admire many of them greatly. Some choose to fight for there fellows without thinking of their own lives, many immortal won't even do that and others think humans lives are something to play with. I don't think of myself as better than humans I think of myself as there equals." She paused and gathered her thoughts for a second before adding. "If an immortal kills a mortal out of malice I want that immortal to face justice, I wouldn't want them murdered out of hand, but I wouldn't put their life over those of mortals."

"You should go visit my people, they'd welcome you with open arms I'm sure. They have ways of magical and science that would allow you to create children if you wished of cause." She sighed and attacked her salad with some force for a few minutes before adding. "Alas, again I am not allowed to travel to Russia, for them, I am two outspoken about their treatment. So I do not know the future of daughter, they are a perfect blend of the two of us, so there is a chance that they've inherited my immortality. Though even I do not know if being away from home will eventually take it away from even me. I am the first for many generations to leave the city for the outside world."

"When we first met I had no real connections to this world, I wasn't exactly playing hero but it was all a great adventure. But now I have connects to this world a wife and daughters. Who might have to live in this world for a very long time." her voice caught ever so slightly at the last part "Genetics are a strange thing and I've not been able to return home to have them checked, but it could be that my daughters have inherited my gift of long life. I don't know if you have any children yourself Mr Murk, but it's true that you'll do anything to protect them. Selfish I know but I want to make sure that they stay safe, and it may be that the Codex is there best choice."

She sighed "It's simple really he was always committed to the party whilst I was committed to the ideal. It didn't help that I was an outspoken critic of the party, it's probably why they didn't allow me to fight until near the end of the war. At least I got to serve with the Night Witches, an amazing bunch of women all of them." a smile played briefly across her face at the memory "When the war ended I could see that the Party wasn't going to change I decided to defect to the West, especially when it was obvious that they were going to close off Berlin with the war. I think he feels that I should have stayed and tried to changed thing from the inside, though I haven't met him since the war. I'm sure I'll have to have a conversation with him soon."

"Yes I know Dimitri, I read the MI:13 files on you little meeting in Berlin, at least the little they knew. We have a complicated relationship Dimitri and I, we were in the Peoples Heroes together, when I was finally actually allowed me to fight. He didn't take it well when I defected to the West, and I'm not sure he and I will ever be friends and even allies might be too much to ask." she gave a frown and added, "Not a good start for you codex if the two of us can never get along. That war left us with so much baggage, some of which I don't think I've completely unpacked."

Whilst she was dressed in a more conservative dress suit Klara didn't feel that different than she did all those years ago, though obviously, she knew she'd changed. At least on the inside, outwardly she looked exactly as she did back in '61. "I've already had a large working lunch so that will be more than fine." she slipped gracefully into the seat opposite "Now let me see Russia is almost as bad as it was before. Though here at least they'll let me get married, so now I have a beautiful wife and three grown daughters. Like any proud parent, I have pictures of cause!" she laughed and added, "I guess I did listen to my own advice to live a little!"

After they'd taken possession of there home CoVic Sitara had been one of those that insisted that they invest in the best Computer systems they could buy and build. She'd even made sure both the ships had an AI fitted, Akasavani, to help out where they could. She was a fan of good old fashion footwork as well, it was amazing what you learn in a good old-fashioned local watering hole, but it never hurt to look for patterns. "Let's feed the data to Akasavani and see if she can find a pattern. Whilst she does we should find a bar and get the feel of what is people feel about what happening here."

Soho, London, September 2015 She had kept her promise to Tracy and retired, mostly, to raise their three daughters. But the last had left school and with them gone now to University, she now felt it was time to become a hero again. She'd already talked to Dame Pennington, it was strange meeting Anne after all that time, and had arranged for Klara to help out there once again. Things had gone off the rails a bit at the Ministry whilst she had been away, but Anne and the new Vanguard seemed to be putting things back on track. Before she travelled back to her home in Doncaster she had one more place to visit and had made sure to call ahead with plenty of time, she didn't think Mr Murk was the kind to carry a mobile around with him all the time.

Merge couldn't help but take a peek with a duplicate, after all, she hadn't been told she couldn't do so when out of sight. It's not like she'd do it in public in front of everyone, despite how tempting it was sometimes, the look from just Nicki alone would be bad enough. "mmm, he's one fine looking man. Little to rugged for my tastes, but not a bad way to spend an afternoon!" She paused for a heartbeat, long enough for Gretchen to realise what she'd said before adding. "Anyways I better get back to the till at least one of us should be doing the work here!"

Klara stood and offered her hand to the man who until a few hours ago had been nothing but a legend. "If you need my help, codex or no, don't hesitate to contact me through the new Ministry of Powers." She 'd helped transform the Ministry after the war and she was proud of what they'd achieved so far. Plus it meant she got to spend lots of time around Tracy, which was a lovely bonus. "I promise I will keep your idea in mind, and when I'm ready I will consider signing your pact. If I decide to shall I leave a message at this place, or do you have an address I might contact you at?"

ic Worlds of Freedom: The Great Apescape
Tiffany Korta replied to Brown Dynamite's topic in Else Ifs and What Worlds
Triakosia opened the door appearing briefly in silhouette her cape flapping dramatically before she stepped into the carriage. She was in a hurry to track down the robbers and get back to school before she was missed, but she also wanted to make sure everyone was okay. "Don't be alarmed I'm here to help! Is anyone in need of assistance?" she paused and look around to make sure they were before adding "Could someone please tell me what happened here?"- 9 replies

Her eyes and her logical brain told her that nothing was there, but she knew that magic was a thing and that whilst she couldn't comprehend it, it was still something that existed. And by that logic, magical thinks had to obey rules, even if she couldn't understand them, and she had tried once or twice. Hopefully, that included quantum mechanics. Clambering up the wall, trying very hard not to touch something funky, she made the necessary hand gestures to set up a bonding quantum field in front of her allies, hopefully holding the enemies she couldn't see in their place.

ic From Beneath You It Devours: So Do Our Minutes Hasten
Tiffany Korta replied to Brown Dynamite's topic in The Emerald Cities
Peri wasn't concerned with few cut's and bruised, she'd taken much worse trying to get a handle on the Spdr Rig, but she was concerned about breaking any of the connections that allowed the suit to operate at its maximum capacity. She wasn't about to give up the fight however with a complicated series of hand gesture she turned the area beneath the Atlanteans in a bounding area of quantum sickness, which looked a lot like snaking ropes of webs. "Isn't it just terrible when you get stuck on the bridge?"- 22 replies

ic From Beneath You It Devours: Are You My Mummy?
Tiffany Korta replied to Brown Dynamite's topic in Bedlam City
It might be a crisis but that didn't stop Rosa being fascinated with the mystical writing, whilst she couldn't read the writing she recognized which languages they were which meant they were, at least in her mind, something to be recorded or studied. "Yes, yes thank you for the platitudes, I am sufficiently calmed by your words!" I think maybe you should pay more attention to what going on. her voice of reason, in this and many cases Liam, reluctantly bought her back to the problem around her. "Ah yes it seems we have a potential trail to follow, is anyone skilled in the art of haematomancy?"- 33 replies

Dancia wasn't one to be easily intimidated, but she was quite impressed by the layout of the place and Amir always seemed to cut an impressive figure. Maybe he just always looked like he was about to appear on a magazine cover. "Thank you for the jacket, I appreciate the loan." she held out the hanger with the protected jacket "I had it dry cleaned and repaired in this little place in Emerald City." she didn't feel the need to boast it was more matter of fact "I assume you have some conditions you want to lay down for how this all works. I'll save you the first one I'm more concerned with the truth than the story, I won't report anything unless you want me too."

GM Post "That designation is acceptable, I will add that to my data banks and respond accordingly." Sophie inclined her head in a remarkably human gesture before answering the first question "According to stellar drift, atomic decay and other indicators we have been here for 5,051,938 years, though I determine a 3-year margin of error. Our systems are however still recovering after being on standby for so long, please stand by..." The hologram of the Earth once again returned and as they watched the resolution seemed to improve again, looking like they could reach out and touch the continents. "Our task is to monitor and defend against dimensional incursion from potential threats..." As she spoke the map zoomed into a city on the East Coast of the United States, though only Solar Sentinel would identify it as Freedom City. A graphical overlay showed a trace energy from the downtown area. This scan seemed to trigger something as hologram, looking like a more human looking Sophie, appeared and declare "Potential dimensional incursion detected, please stand by for jump."

In her longtime exploring the universe Sitara had only come across on Navimatrix, and he hadn't been working having according to the owner being shut down after causing a lot of harm and damage. It had looked like it was still fully functional and operational if someone was foolish enough to reactivate it. Though she had heard other less destructive tales she was inclined to be cautious in this manner. "We should be careful here Sophie here might not be functioning with a full positronic net, if you get my drift."
