GM Post From a sea of camera's and cell phones came Ruth, who paused and tried not to look like she had just rush over her from elsewhere at the party. Behind her was an obvious bodyguard who was a fairly passable match for Sekhmet, though she didn't look anywhere near as comfortable in the costume as the goddess. "It's an honor that you could attend Set." she stepped forward and threw her arms out ready for a hug as if they'd always been good friends, though she had the sense not to press the issue, just in case.

Agnus had been pretty surprised herself when she'd found out about Claremont, on of the advantages of helping out the Ministry, and had even been allowed to visit once or twice in an official capacity. "It seems to be a pretty good school, though personally I can't help but get a modern Hogwarts kind of feel. Or that you'd find it run by Patrick Stewart or something." She'd like the headmistress when she'd stopped by, who had an excellent taste in teas and even recommended places in London to pick up some for some to try.

Dancia put her hand up for a moment as she cleared her head from the headache the newspaper induced, then she took a few moments to carefully cut her cell phone off from the outside world once again. "See if you can look at the paper now that we have it out of the room?" considering the effect it had from just viewing it no video a screenshot wasn't going to make this any easier to view "If not we at least have a clue to where to look next, the paper mentions the waterfront and I assume it probably has some connection to what you've been looking into."

As Peri racked her brains as to where to send the feeds, so was very much aware of the irony that she'd stopped something very similar not that long ago. "Maybe we can compare notes from adjoining cells if this goes wrong." she mumbled to herself as she worked. She quickly went through and discarded several places as being either to unsecured or easily connected to her civil identity. Indeed apart from the MarsTech servers, which she did not trust this data with in the slightest, only one place seemed to fit the bill, the ArchTech West building. Which seemed pretty fitting considering.

ic From Beneath You It Devours: Are You My Mummy?
Tiffany Korta replied to Brown Dynamite's topic in Bedlam City
Luckily dealing with people was what Liam did best, alongside the detective work, so when the woman cornered him he went straight into action. Ask her about the exhibition. "Those numpties as you called them are professions and only wish to check on you good colleague." he didn't have much experience with capes, being fairly rare in Bedlam, but they seemed to know what they were doing. Ask her about the exhibition. "If you wish I will stay here and make sure that no harm befalls it or your good self." after what he thought was a good enough pause to irritate Rosa he added with a smirk "Maybe whilst we're waiting you can tell me about the exhibition itself?"- 33 replies

"I know a couple of people like that who like to stalk in the shadows, but it's really not for me. Please be careful Detective I'll join you as quickly as I can." As she walked over to the car with the guard within she concentrated on suppressing or at least reducing, the aura of cold that always surrounded her, it wouldn't help the shocked guard to get a blast of near-freezing air. She was a little better since coming to Claremont, but far from perfect as Raina like to remind her frequently. "Hello there I'm Frostbyte and I'm here to try and help. Could you tell me what you saw earlier?" she spoke softly and gently to the startled guard.

ic From Beneath You It Devours: Atlantis Attacks
Tiffany Korta replied to Brown Dynamite's topic in Lonely Point
Whilst raising three kids had taught her some patience Klara was still the type to rush into trouble when the situation required it, and this was very much that kind of situation. And if one thing that she'd learned growing up was to know when to rely on others, it's what made their city so successful. "I don't think me teleport will take me out that far, so a lift out there would be much appreciated. Don't worry I'm a lot lighter than I look." She’d know it might have been a problem but hadn’t worried about it, confident that a solution would quickly be apparent to her. Which it had as usual. -
"You don't quite understand. If Fred had found a partner it would have been all around the school by now, besides I'm pretty sure she’s not looking right now." Cathy got the feeling that Fred was uncomfortable talking about those kinds of things, especially when the subject of her and Phae came up. It was probably partly due to her Victorian upbringing she figured. "It's just in all the time I've known Fred she's never missed a single day, I suspect she'd drag herself to class even she was really, really sick."

She had the evidence and the civilian safe so it was tempting to let them get away and capture them another time, the planner in her was very tempted to do just such a thing. Except for a superhero reputation was all, and letting them go would be very bad for the newly started Scarab rebranding. Plus they tried to harm the two of them, and that made her mad. Taking a few steps back she quickly did a few quick calculations, with a zip line descent friction would slow them down at enough that a free falling object could catch them in little time. The math worked out she ran towards the exit they'd created, having no doubt that her calculation would be correct and accurate. "Safiya active the antigrav systems at this time index..." she gave the suit's computer it's instruction as she hurtled down the corridor. Then she jumped out the building to fall toward the escaping thieves.

Rosa was a very meticulous woman at times, trying applying the solid structures of her Academic life to the real world. Often a very frustrating thing in a crazy city like Bedlam, but very occasionally it paid off. Shelters were the breeding ground of disparate and tended to attract spirit that fed on such things, so shelters were the one place she had a watch out for anything unusual, that had brought her to Celestial Spirit Fellowship. Normally she'd allow Liam to do the investigation stuff first but this one seemed so much on the unusual side that she'd decided to go straight to have a look herself. She walked confidently down the street and towards the two helpers and despite the, literal, voice in her head telling her to use a little charm first she went straight to a rather brisk introduction. "My names Doctor Rosa Thorne and I'm an investigator of Occult Matters. I believe you have someone here that could use my help?" There was a mystery here and like all mysteries, Rosa was chomping at the bit to solve this one.

Cathy wasn't one to worry unnecessarily worry about people, most at Claremont could look after themselves after all, but sometimes she couldn't help but be a little concerned. She tended to watch people and pick up on their behavior pattern almost as a matter of course, it made thing easier when spotting potential problems coming her way. Today Fred, or her absence, had caught Cathy's attention, she was a creature of habit that keeps a pretty strict routine and Cathy hadn't seen her at breakfast. True she'd been making plans with Phae for a study date, mostly for the study she insisted, so she wasn't worried about it until she missed the first class they shares. One the way back to the Dorms to see if Fred had just overslept after working all night on her makeups, she bumped into Riley and after a momentary pause decided to rope into her hunt, after all, it was his specialty. "Riley, how are you? Have you seen Winifred about, I've not seen her abound all day?"

Miss Grue will be subtly monitoring the prisoner to see if she's telling the truth, just surface thoughts she won't be going any deeper. Her power check is Mind Reading: 1d20+12 19, I believe it's against her Will save.

So they'd moved on to the discrete, not looks, whilst obviously looking now and again stage of things. It used to bother her when she first left her home, especially among the oh so polite British but by now she'd just gotten used to it all. "Sorry little ones you can't come into a place like this." she spoke in her soft mum voice Kneeling down got out of her bag a selection of sweets she kept in there for just such an occasion, keeping an eye on her purse having not been born yesterday. Then once she was happy that they were stated she made her way to the bar, better to take the lead on the whole situation. "I've heard a lot about you Pulque and I'd thought I'd come and try some." for now she was playing the happy tourist, though she'd obviously done her homework.

Praetorians Assemble!
Tiffany Korta replied to Tiffany Korta's topic in The Lighthouse: Catchphrase!
I did a quick head call here and I think we have enough to start something, with the hope that more activity will bring in more money. I'll whip up a quick intro to the mission they thing they're going on and if you want to work out what they'll actually running into and how to split people up that would be great. I am obviously including myself in this groups, only to boost the numbers obviously -
Hmm maybe middle ground it, admit that it's unusual that the place is integrated but not make a massive deal of things. Well stick to light Golden Age fun for now, next time I promise you Bronze Age Triakosia with even bigger hair! And just for reference, she showed up in this thread, though you have a free hand to create what you wish.

In case it's relevant Lucy has a Undead sense.
-
Though maybe not as fast as some Lucy could when required move at quite a speed when necessary, so wasn't that far behind in arriving. And yet again Freedom surprised her in how little she was surprised now with the weirdness this city produced almost daily. Whilst she was very behind the times she couldn't have helped but learned a little about Elvis and his impact, though she'd been confused for a while about two singers with the same name. Personally, she still preferred her Jazz, but his music had an undeniable energy to it. "When he sang hunk of burning love I didn't think he was being quite so literal." she looked over at the others and raised a bemused eyebrow before adding "I'm Revenant, but you can call me Lucy. I hit things hard and recover from injuries, oh and I'm un-dead!"
-
I've used her before briefly but I'd like to do more with my Golden Age teenage Triakosia, acting like a Superboy in her own New Mexico town!

The Praetorian's have to be pretty pragmatic in this current age, so I'm sure they have people that help out part time. -
