"Well duh, they're a school after all!" Agnus did a passable valley girl impression "It's a pretty good school for such things, I've been there a couple of times to help out." she wondered if the teen had an inkling of who she was behind the mask "It's up to you to break away from things and do you own thing, that's what teen rebellion is all about. It's also a good idea to find out ways to enjoy your powers somehow. Do you fly?" Agnus really hoped that she was saying something helpful, or at least allowing Corinne to blow off some steam.
-
Agnus could understand exactly where Corinne was right now, she was pretty sure many supers went through the same thing she knew that she had. "You a dancer right. So you practice and perform and it probably takes up a lot of you time. But you not defined by you dancing, yes you want to be the best dancer you can but you also can spend time happily doing other things. Like having a good meal with that crazy woman!" She grinned, a paused she hoped was enough for the facts to sink in. "Same with you power they might be a part of you, but that doesn't mean they have to define who you are!"
-
“You’d love to meet my parent’s they only not true hippies because they were born too late.” she grinned at the younger woman “Truth be told you need to own it, whatever that it may be. Still, you have a while to get comfortable in your own skill.” Agnus had gotten to the point that she was comfortable with the mantle that she’d been given, but she was well aware that it wasn’t a lifestyle for everyone, and one day it might leave even her. “For some, like me, it is but it doesn’t have to be. If you want to do something else then more power to you, I don’t have the right to decide your future for you. But you need to learn how to control those powers so you don’t hurt anyone, after that you can happily leave them alone to dance your heart away.”

Shall try and throw one of the cars at the giant spiders Attack Roll: 1d20+8 13, try might be the optimum word!
-
With a quick test it was quite obvious that the cars were quite a bit lighter than Klara would expect, not that a fully loaded car would be much of a problem with her. She hefted the nearest car up above her head. “I guess that rules out talking them out of attacking then, I guess it counts out Spider spirits they tend to be at least a little more amenable. Oh well then let’s get these them out of the way then.” She then proceeded to throw the car towards the nearest spider, she’d still hadn’t compensated properly for the vehicles reduced weight as it didn’t fly as well as it could have.

Klara caught herself before she made a disparaging remark about Dimitri, this was a time for friendly discourse, not a blazing argument and the breaking of furniture. Besides, it wasn’t Dimitri that she had the problem with, it was the state that he represented and what they thought of her and her lifestyle. “It is always good to keep the happy memories of times past and tell tales of what has gone before. But for now I will happily toast to tea and adorable babies.” she raised her cup before taking a sip of the lovely tea.

“I come from an Earth where the Roman Empire never feel, before the coming of the forces of the Terminus. Of my Legion I was picked to travel to another world and get help, though thanks to a miscalculation I arrive long after my world had fallen. In honour of those I fought beside I use the number of my Legion, Triakosia.” She paused for a few moment to allow the information to sink in, truth be told the newly recovered memories of her past were still a raw wound to her even now. “As for the object the main thing is that it seems to work on the optical nerves, we should be okay if you can’t see the object. We might be able to use a camera or I can guide you from here in short burst. We need something to keep it in once we have it though.”
-
“And I’m Sitara, some call me The Traveller.” she gave the others a friendly nod “I remembered seeing some of the Xobron's early work, they seemed to show really artistic potential back then. I hope that this isn’t the only thing they’re spending their time one.” She gestured down towards the vampire robot at there feet, wondering briefly what she’d missed off the Xobron over the last thousand years, she’d not had a chance to catch up on every race she’d met over the many centuries. The Nameless was something she did know a little about, she’d like to frequent various bars in the less savory parts of the station, and a race that she’d never heard of before. “Right now they’re being blamed for a lot, but such is the nature of when you get newcomers anywhere. I might know a few place down there where we can pick up a few rumors about all this.”

Okay I'm thinking of what she's doing is just a fluff of her force field, just in case Reflex Roll: 1d20+9 25. I'd like to make sure the guard is completely safe, with a suitable HP expenditure if needed.

Kamala didn’t go into this without considering a number of options, she hadn’t exactly fought this battle already but she’d picked out a few potential challenges and options to defeat them. Grenades were one of the several options that she’d considered and worked out a potential counter in case they were deployed. “Safia activate protection program blast dome.” she mumbled to herself and the built in computer that was tied into her Scarab pack. With that the graviton generator she carried projected a force field around the grenade, that would if her calculation were correct would contain the blast of the explosive. But she wasn’t taking any chances, as gently as she could she pushed the guard out of the way and down one of the corridors running parallel to where they were. If the building blueprints were accurate he could quickly. “Go inform the authorities of all this I deal with the intruders.” Turning her attention back to the invaders she raised her Scarab bite and readied it to fire.

Agnus couldn’t help but laugh at the teen’s comments, she was really going to enjoy spending time with the young woman. They had a lot in common and Agnus hoped she could teach the teen hero and thing or two. “I assume you’ve done the Googling and read my Wiki article. I was a reality TV star not much older than you, that managed to lose everything before I hit my twenties. Believe most of what you read, I was a terrible, terrible person back then.” she wasn’t proud of what she’d done back then but she’d come to terms with who she is “So I’m more than aware of the pitfalls of the entertainment industry and if you want I could help you navigate through that world. And that one of the reasons I wanted to meet you, not just because you dad and me had a thing back in the day.” She took and breath, and a sip of her drink, before carrying one with the big reveal “It’s also true that I got shot trying to be heroic, and spent six months in a coma fighting for my life. When I came back I was changed, and not just from the fact of almost dying.” With a little concentration, Agnus made her hand glow slightly. “It’s not just the entertainment part that I can help you navigate!”

In her few years on Earth she’d gotten used to the general hum of humans minds, with the occasional strong random thought or mood pinging against her psychic defenses. But a place like this full of strong emotions, mostly negative, was bombarding her defenses. Daphne wasn’t one to be in a bad mood, but it did leave her a little... irked. “But why would I change gender like that? I mean I understand the need when in disguise, but I’m me why would I want to be anyone else?” with the instant psychic buzz she might have been a little more short than usual “Would it not make more sense if we all work on the same person? Wouldn’t it make sense for you to have a psychic in the room as you question them? The man seems the most likely to be involved and if you want to play good cop bad cop I can always be invisible and in the background whilst you do you stuff.” True she got most of her interrogation knowledge from Cop Shows, but she was sure it’d work just fine here.

With lots of practice, Cathy was pretty confident when fighting, though she was still a little intimidated sparing with such experienced fighters. Once back to the more social aspects she was a little less confident. “Yeah sorry about that, it's just ice so it’ll melt after awhile.” she gestured slightly guiltily at the ice slick she’d created “Actually you might want to clean it up before it melts, I’m afraid I’m not much help in that department.” With her apology given she blended back into the background, happy for her more outgoing friends to take the central stage.

Maybe it was to do with her upbringing but Cathy was always the more level-headed of the group, she’d watched her parents and occasionally helped, run a small farm for the last decade and longer. It wasn’t something that was easy to do, even if it was a sometimes very rewarding process. If it wasn’t for her mutation she would have probably ended up working on a farm in some manner, though she would have never been a farmer's wife, for quite obvious reasons. “Whilst I encourage you to fully follow your dreams, it might be worth refining the product before taking it to market.” She was her normal upbeat self about the whole thing, she really did want her friend to succeed in well everything she did really.

Emerald Spider considered her options. In her mind she needed to find a way to get this information out to the world, people deserved to know and those held here needed to be given their freedom. This shouldn't be how they treated those who came here from beyond this little blue-green planet. She could quite easily take the guard, thanks to the power of the Spdr Rig, but there was a chance that he could raise the alarm and she needed to give Citizen as much time as she could to discover what they had planned here. So for now she’d have to rely on stealth to achieve her goals. She examined the equipment, the best she could from this angle, to see if she could discover where the images were feed in from, she could probably record or even transmit the images if she could find this. She checked her burner phone to see if she got a signal this far in, it would be an easy method to get the data out, even if she had to scavenge the cell for parts.

Tiffany Korta replied to Avenger Assembled's topic in Bedlam City
The secret with dealing with Bedlams finest was not to say or do anything that could provoke them at all, which was difficult if you had to smoothly lie as well. Luckily Liam was very good at such things, good enough to fool the local police. But whilst he seemed relaxed he was tensed in case one of them decided a good hit to the stomach would loosen the tongue. Random acts of violence were to be expected with them. “I’m not sure who you are talking about officer? You know I don’t get any customers here normally anyway, Cheakina was here with her latest conspiracy theory, but she bolted out the front when she heard the sirens.” Cheakina was well known for her out-there theories about various subjects, which would sound ridiculous for somewhere like Freedom City, let alone Bedlam. She was as far as the two knew out of town, or at least lying low, they didn’t want anyone to get a Bedlam Interrogation over such a lie.- 17 replies

When Peri had graduated she'd had such dreams of joining a corporation and helping them change the world for the better, she'd picked a small company because she felt that she could do better. Then she discovered that the idealist dreams weren't shared by the rest of her team and that peaceful device was being corrupted for warfare. The good was that it had given her the suit, even if she could never work in this town as an engineer. But as Emerald Spider she could do more good than she'd ever dreamt of before. “I'm sorry sir but I'm going to have to politely decline your offer." There wasn't even a pause in her decision in the slightest and wouldn't ever regret what could have been.

Cathy held the hug for as long as she could before gentle stepping away and letting off a blast of cold air around her, frosting up the mirror behind her. She was pretty happy that she'd controlled her powers for so long, hopefully, one day she could do that all the time. "Well I know at least someone who'll buy the fireproof stuff, though I might have some influence there." she gave a little knowing smile before continuing "And I'm sure that some of the Next-Gen would be happy to try the stuff, maybe through a neutral third party though." School might have it own complicated weave of friendships and allegiances but good stuff tended to find ways to spread among people despite such things.

GM Post The sensor of the little ship rapidly made a scan of the much larger ship, despite its rather battered appearance the ship obviously was more powerful than initially appeared. The scan showed that the majority of the life signs on the ship were concentrated on a massive landing bay that dominated the front part of the ship. Apparently, the pirates were holding the crew in the large open space as they waited for something. Maybe they had a ship of their own on there the way? And the ships computer core, networking centers were located in almost the opposite direction to the hostages.

GM Post Valeria's eyes went wide in horror at what Sakurako was suggesting and was almost babbling as she quickly tried to explain things to the older student. "Oh no you couldn't, you wouldn't! If I get expelled then that would be it, there's now way that my family could afford the type of education that I get here." Her eyes began to fill with tears as she carried on talking in a near panic "I promise you that I didn't touch his device at all, I admit that I was going to but I didn't touch it I swear." Ever she was an Oscar worthy actor in the making or what she was saying was completely genuine.

GM Post Possie looked at Cassey with some surprise and almost subconsciously seemed to cover her broken arm with her still good hand, actually, Casey couldn't remember if she'd actually seen a break in the arm... "Oh wow that's pretty amazing I guess? Is that why you've been having the migraines?" Thinking about it Casey did feel a little better, though her head did still feel a little like she'd gone three rounds with Kong, though this was the first time she'd ever developed a new power so the nurse might still be a good idea.

GM Post Still in the "hotel", Zee flung herself around Lynn in a massive friendly hug, whatever she was she felt completely human. "This place has always been you to visit by right of blood, and that you really good guests!" she pulled back and grinned broadly "As friends of the family, you always welcome, as long as you can visit the mirror. And I'd really like it if there was a lot less time between visits if you could manage." She stood there looking tiny and demure waiting for everyone to leave the hotel.

GM Post Now that the elevator was on its way back you could finally look at the intricate designs of the interior of the cabin, or maybe it wasn't there before you entered it this time. For the interior held a golden Art Deco design that seemed to tell the story of how Al-Kazar got trapped in his own dimension, the adversary was still impossible to see correctly despite being depicted in full artistic glory. After what seemed like both forever and no time at all the elevator arrived at its destination with a rather normal sounding ping and the door rumbled open. The exit was far from normal however being a silvery mirrored membrane that filled the doorway. The reflection they saw, however, didn't look right as it didn't reverse things like a normal mirror. Almost like they were seeing a mirror from the other side...
