  1. Sitara's Knowledge (Galactic Lore): 1d20+15 21
  2. Originally hailing from outside Bedlam Rosa had only really heard of the Hammer of Justice as an urban legend and not the kind she normally paid attention to being of the more mundane side of things. Liam being a native of the city had heard much more about the vigilante, even from the ivory towers where he grew up. It didn't take long for Liam to bring her up to speed on what she didn't already know. “Don't worry Esperanza you'll be safe here for now. Try to rest a moment whilst I get you some water." With other however concerns, she went straight to the Anna to whisper in her ear. “Will she be safe here? Is this vigilante the kind to try again?" Her concern wasn't for herself and Liam, they could look after themselves, as could Lady Horus, it was more concern for the young woman that he'd already severally hurt.
  3. From Bonfire points of view, there was a sudden gust of the wind and the two of them were suddenly on the roof of the building. With the worried face of Dancia looking down at him. "You probably have lots of questions right now, and you deserve answers. But first take a moment to make sure your alright. I'm not sure what happened but it looks like we might have found something interesting." As Dancia took a few deep breaths to overcome the nausea she felt she'd didn't for one moment regret the decision to act now, fancy clever moves would always take a backseat when people were in trouble.
  4. “I’m Doctor Rosa Thorne and the gentleman you were talking to previously is Liam Conner. We share a body between us, something I’m sure you can understand with you own transmogrification.” she looked over at Lady Horus “I have a multitude of questions that I’d like to ask about you and your abilities, but of cause at a more opportune time.” She continued to busy around treating the wound of the young woman, glad that her wound wasn't so serious that they’d need to worry about the generally corrupt Hospitals or back street doctors. You do know that she could be some kind of criminal or worse? Liam was being cautious, a solid survival trait in Bedlam What Lady Horus? She seems pretty on the level, if not a little bombastic... No the woman you treating right now She’s in pain and needs our help, we’ll worry about the what and why when she’s fit and well. “We’ve managed to survive and thrive in an area between two areas of competing gangs, We’re more than capable of dealing with threats mundane and magical. Though anything either you can tell us will help us deal whatever cause this woe.”
  5. Dancia's Will Save: 1d20+10 14, let's drop a HP for a reroll Will Save: 1d20+10 24. I guess I really destined to fail here!
  6. Though there was normally little happening this early in the morning Liam made a point of opening the agency every morning. Not being a morning person Rosa tending to skulk around the back of their consciousness until at least the first cup of coffee. His reaction, once he was sure that there was no danger, was quick and decisive as he cleared the desk and gestured for Lady Horus to lay the wounded on the cleared desk. Luckily they didn't own anything as valuable as a computer to get damaged. "I'm afraid you're mistaken though she isn't that kind of..." In the mere blink of an eye Liam was replaced by that of Rosa, the before mentioned Doctor Thorne, in a pair of rather unflattering flannel pajamas. "... I interned for a whilst at a hospital and am a capable medical practitioner. Over there's a medical kit bring it to me please." she gestured to Lady Horus to go fetch as she checked the injured woman to see if she was conscious and reactive "Do I need to ask how this happened?"
  7. In answer to his cries stepped a shape from the darkness what little light there was catching on giant yellow lenses two triangular shapes towered above the shape like mandible on a giant human-sized insect. "I suggest that you gentleman lower your weapons now before there is trouble." Stepping now fully into the light, between the raiders and the guard, was a familiar looking costume of red and yellow. She smiled reassuringly at the guard before looking towards the armed invaders, there shots bouncing off an invisible field surrounding her.
  8. Dancia had begun to look through the place, going through the motion of a normal regular search, even though she'd could have search the entire place in seconds. It was sometimes quite relaxing to do things slowly like this rather than rush things around, and a few seconds wouldn't make that much of a difference in the long run. All that was forgotten when she heard Bonfire's cries, she'd worry about revealing anything about her secret identity once she knew that he was safe. As quickly and safely as she could she zipped into the room to see what was causing all the trouble.
  9. Atlantian Noir Dr. Thorne, Bedlam City If one thing that Bedlam did well was the mob and despite the problem of the Atlantian invasion being over for almost a day they still wander the streets, ostensibly to deal with the invaders but mostly to settle the common score between groups. It was like a much more violent and petty example of '38 mass Hysteria of War of the Worlds. At least a good portion of the mob was women, which was the closest that Bedlam came to equal opportunities. We knew this because in some small we'd been involved in sorting out the invasion, but it was quite useful in allowing us to hunt a different prey. For several days we'd been tracking down a spirit I'd dubbed Red Jack, after some cheesy Sci-fi character, because naming it gave you some degree of power and most spirit's names had too many consonants and not enough vowels. Besides a spirit that sounded like Winnie the Pooh was much less intimidating than one that sounded like the Exorcist. The mob would be the perfect opportunity to draw out the violent little spirit, it feeding on the most negative of emotions. Making Bedlam an all you could eat buffet even on one of it's best days let along the charged atmosphere now. Liam had the build for such things having the look of someone mob worthy so he was currently in control, wandering the streets until we came across the worst thing we could find, an actual Atlantian separated from his fellows. He had held himself with a noble bearing with a haughty attitude of someone better than everyone else, a brave move when surrounded by a mob. But worse of all he fitted Liam's type a damsel in distress. Thinking with his libido at this point wasn't necessary the best idea, he was stubborn enough to try and take on the entire mod single handed, so I quickly assumed control. Doing so carried its own risk, some here might dislike "my kind" more than the Atlantian but it was for the best as I dodged through the crowd nearer the Atlantian, for I could sense the telltale feel of the inhabiting spirit. And indeed behind the Atlantian stood the tiny figure of a woman holding a knife and a grin that suggested they'd be dining on fish very soon. And she did indeed sound a little like Winnie the Pooh as she spoke of the terrors that they should inflict on the captive, Sympathetic magic could be very powerful when used correctly. I'm sure that Liam with his Irish and Norse ancestry would like to tell tales of the epic battle we fought to drive the spirit away from the body, all the while keeping the mob away and freeing the handsome Atlantian as we did, probably with a romantic kiss before he disappeared into the depths. But whilst the creature babbled away about its tortures I simply performed the correct rituals to cast the spirit out of the unfortunate woman's body, so caught up in the feast of anger and hate, the Atlantian stubbornly refused to show any fear if he felt any, that she was oblivious, or chose to ignore, the arcane forces that I gathered for the ritual. Causing the spirit to be cast out in an impressive array of swirling mists and colors that scattered even the jaded Bedlam crowd. I did allow Liam the honor of breaking free the Atlantian warrior so he could flee back to the ocean of whatever, with the few with enough sense to see it happening being easy enough for him to vanquish. He was an old romantic at heart really. And no one knew that twice in twenty-four hours we'd saved Bedlam from two potential threats, no hero parades of medals, not even a cash reward, just the satisfaction of a job well done and a good night sleep free after the eventful few days. And in Bedlam that was the closest you ever got to a win really.
  10. Peri was very glad of two things as she blundered through the venting, that she wasn't afraid of confined spaces and that Nan had insisted that she carry on her gymnastic lessons. That with her suit allowed her to stay in pretty awkward positions for long periods of time. Right now she was crouched in such a position as she looked to see if she could catch anything from the monitors from this vantage point. If not she had the inkling of a plan, something she'd been thinking about for a while. She had the pattern needed for the function all worked out but had never had a chance to test it before now.
  11. Merge had been pretty quiet for most of there traipsing around the hotel, apart from a few snippy remarks here and there. It was taking a lot of concentration to be in some many places at once at such distances. Plus every now and then she got these brief flashes of the others thoughts, it was slightly disconcerting to a head only use to the one set of multiple thoughts. This must be a little what it was like to be a telepath. “I'll go with Gretchen back down to Freedom, just so we know it all worked out okay. We don't want to get lost all over again!" One of the Merge's entered the elevator beside Gretchen, whilst the other was still standing beside the others. “Before we go back do we want to say our goodbyes?"
  12. “Because the Praetorians value, well I value, the ability to improvise when trouble starts. In my very long life I've found few plans that survive meeting the opponents." her tone was pretty matter of fact with her usual tone of bemusement “Besides I always like someone to watch my back and that we can share stories with after the fact" As she spoke she gently nudged the little ship towards the larger Lor craft, carefully trying not to bring the PravaasaH to the Indomitable's attention. “First we need to find out where the hostages are being held. See if you can find me a sensor suite, or at least get me a tight beam link to Tra'Nor."
  13. After a few second work Cathy took a moment to admire how well the foundation matched her own skin tones, without the various tricks it took to achieve normally, she had to admit that Fred had a very fine eye for the little details. "I've found a few specialist for such things, but they tend to be quite expensive. Very small market and all that!" As instructed she took the eye shadow she'd been given and with some attention to detail carefully drew a line on the back of her hand. "Okay there we go, what do we need to do now?"
  14. "Personally I find the worse is that look of distaste in their eyes even when they're all smiles. Plus having to do everything metaphorically Backwards and in Heels as well. Luckily for us both Freedom City is a pretty enlightened place as far as these things go." she sighed and then was all business again "I can handle giving back the keys if you want, can always have someone pop them back and say that they'd found them." She stood silently on watch as he recovered the keys and followed him up to the empty room, one that she already knew fairly well from the earlier scan. "I'm going to check for any relevant mail, do you want to see if he had a computer or cell?"
  15. With just a brief deep intake of breath, Cathy joined in with the flurry of activity that was Raina. She was probably just as excited as Raina to try the makeup as Raina just not as openly displaying it, being a little cold if you would. Her own private joke made her smile to herself. "I wouldn't claim to be an expert myself, it's difficult to find the right combinations easily and cheaply. Next to nobody is making makeup for Albino skin, and definitely not on a budget." She picked a mirror and began to lay out everything ready to apply the new makeups, though it was almost a shame to use these beautiful little things, she was more than prepared to allow Raina to take the spotlight, as was normal.
  16. If needed with Skill Mastery Sitara has 25 with Knowledge (Technology) and 24 on Craft (Electronics).
  17. Never a boring day on CoVic and always another mystery winging its way towards you. At her age, Sitara had just learned to roll with whatever life brought her way, it was amazing that even now she hadn't experienced anywhere near everything. "Well this is new, I've never seen a mechanoid with hematological tastes. Let's see if we can find where this Synthroid came from shall we?" Holstering her two rod-like blasters she bent down and began to examine the robot for clues as to the origins of such a device.
  18. Finally, her scanning of the skyline paid off, but not quite in the way she'd expected. Still in her experience trouble meant answers, even if you first had to sort the trouble out. "Well I don't know but I'm guessing that they might help us find some answers." she pointed up at the skittering creature. Expecting trouble she went over to the nearest car and began to test how easy it would be to lift the vehicle, it might not be the easiest object to use but it would definitely get the creature's attention. "Some call me Voin Zhenshchin, but most just us Klara, apparently they find it much easier to say!"

  21. Emerald Spiders Stealth: 1d20+10 12 and Knowledge (Technology): 1d20+10 25. Well ventilation systems are her specialty.
  22. It wasn't often that Peri's daytime occupation help her out with her secondary activities, but this kind of ventilation systems was something she'd studied quite a bit over the last few years. Though not normally designed by someone quite so paranoid, though considering their business it wasn't a complete surprise. There sacrifice for her accuracy with the systems was that she couldn't concentrate as much on keeping herself completely quiet, steady footfalls weren't necessarily the quietest, but she hoped few would be around to hear any noise that she made.
  23. Dancia could have plucked the key off the ground before Bonfire had even noticed she'd gone, but for now, she was playing mild-mannered reporter so she quickly slipped into the lift beside him. "Well maybe if you'd let me in on the plan I'd of kept her talking for longer, you could have whispered I have excellent hearing" Without looking at him, she continued her arms in front of her the very image of innocent composure. "We're so skirting the line and I'm not 100% happy with this, but someone is missing or worse. And that woman really wound me up!" she gave a brief frown at this, before returning to her composed look "But we just look around and touch nothing. And you promise me you'll return the keys as soon as we're done."
  24. Emerald Spider wasn't sure she followed the entire chain of logic, but the others seemed to have an idea of what was going down. But she had no reason to doubt the truth of either of them, especially since she was still pretty new to this hero business. “I guess we're skipping the coffee and going straight to the main course then. Normally I'd ask for some chocolates or maybe some flowers first but let's do this!“ she gestured toward the portal with her free hand “Though after you if you please, especially as you seem to know what we're doing."
