Dancia had spent months on her own as she recovered, yet after a short time back in Freedom City she was already bored on this slow news week. She'd already used up all of her fake traveling stories to the other members of the bullpen, plus a few trips to help people and even then things were pretty quiet. At least she had some time to consider whether she'd put back on her costume, though she was considering the blue costume Centurion has worn briefly. So any distraction was welcome and Bonfire's e-mail was like a breath of fresh air. Sure Riverside is fine I'm going to have to hurry to get there, so text me where you have in mind and I'll join you as quickly as I can. Costume or no she was still going to take advantage of the fact that she could fly.

Don't call it a comeback Baffin Island, Canada As Dancia jogged along the beach enjoying the brisk air blowing off the sea. The fact that she didn't now feel the cold and that at a jog she could now outpace a car meant that soon she'd be ready to return to Freedom City. She'd been camping out on the mountain, though she'd been using the Sanctums medical gear, submitting her blogs posts in this stark beautiful landscape. Thanks to the Sanctum she had a tent with wi-fi access! The time alone had been good for her allowing Dancia to sort out everything she'd learned about her own Earth and the connection to this world greatest hero who also came from that Earth. She'd been spending some time thinking of a way that she could honor the connection, beyond just being the hero that she'd already been. Whilst lost in her thoughts she paused as she'd caught a sound off the coastal water, it was a bit of a surprise as she'd been so used to controlling her sense she'd never thought if they'd come back so soon. Coming out of the water was what appeared to be a group of heavily armed Atlantians and unless they had suddenly become Canadians she guessed they were up to no good. And even though she still wasn't fully recovered Danica didn't even pretend that she wouldn't get involved. Though she also had no costume to hand, so she'd have to improvise. Though she really doubted that the Atlantians had heard of Dancia Devons intrepid reporter. She slowed right down as if she was just casually jogging through the vast Canadian wilderness. The Atlantean warriors that came out of the surf seemed a little bulkier than the one she'd normally see, though she was no expert on the species, and equipped to expect trouble. She idly thought about the fact that she wasn't sure if she was bulletproof right now, but she didn't have time to worry about such things. With all the equipment they were carrying, and the fact that they were here at all, was rather telling that what they were after. The Sanctum that sat on the Mountain that sat behind her. The Atlantians were surprised to see her as they came up from the water, they obviously expected the area to be deserted and pointed their weapons at her when they finally saw her. Playing along, for now, she raised her hands "What are you doing here?" the apparent leader barked at Dancia "Well I could ask the same thing?" she replied with a smirk They obviously weren't in the mood as one of them struck her with the butt of their rifle, she went down but just from rolling from the attack. But there was no blood, in fact, she was completely unharmed by the blow. Not the best way to find out if she was invulnerable, but it was better than the alternative. "I see so that's what you have in mind. You get one warning to leave now before I use force to remove you from this island." "This land is now claimed for Atlantis for the crimes of the surface world against our kind!" she couldn't tell if it was just rhetoric or if they really believe the line "I think Justin Trudeau would have something to say about that." she looked up and smiled at them, no expecting then to know what she was talking about "Finally warning turn around or I'll have to stop you." The leader of this little squad, obviously overconfident against a single squishy female, gave a little laugh. "And what exactly could you do against us?" Dancia didn't answer directly, instead, she floated up into the air, a picture of determined calm. The actual fight was a pretty quick affair, they knew that they were outcast especially considering where they were right now. Really it was a rout when they figured they were fighting a metahuman. Though she spent some time just floating there watching the ocean least they returned in forced. They with the sun setting she took one final look, for now, at the beauty of the island before taking off for home. It was time for her to get back into action.

Agnus gave Amir a little look as her mother gave her excuses, she honestly expected something this really. She’d dealt with a few people like this in her early days, though she was to wrapped up in herself to realize at the time. “Oh well it was nice to see you again ma’am. Masalam.” she put her hand together and gave a little head bow. She then turned to the other and gave a sweeping hand gesture, and one of her charming smiles “Shall we go see what the VIP area has in store for us all.”

Peri was the kind of person who always did a lot of research on anything she was going to commit to, and she’d looked into every engineering company that she’d considered applying for work. Ming Xi Vision weren’t the worst but they had a pretty sketchy reputation in certain circles. “Nothing ever been proved by there have been rumours about some of the practices in getting there hands on certain technologies.” she replied to Citizens question about the company. She pulled her hood back over her head in what she hoped was a suitably dramatic moment. “Yes let’s both go and given them a look shall we!”

“I don’t know I think it’s kind of cute.” it reminded of how her parents would sometimes flirt with each other. Whilst Cathy was a fairly competent fight, a result of her Norse ancestry her father liked to joke, she knew that she was completely outclassed by the elder heroes. So for now she was being fairly cautious on her approach, trying to shift around to maybe catch Erik off guard though she doubt that would really happen. As she moved she twirled her ice club around her hand in a movement that she hoped made her look confident and ready for action.

The thing about the Lor Sitara mused, as she worked, was that they were a very pragmatic people. They tended to design their equipment to be able to deal with as many situations as possible, why have a dozen or more vehicles when one would do? It made supplies and repairs simplicity itself, which was something she could respect as an engineer. That meant that there simple transport was also designed to deal with crowd control with several devices to stop people from causing them trouble, Of cause there were layers of security to stop people from seizing control of such weapons, but Sitara was a quick study. So right now the vehicle was about to power up to take down its very own people, an irony indeed!
-
GM Post To their credit it didn’t take them long to realise that she wasn’t really trying, after all they were all trained by one of the best combat forces in this region of space. The officer stopped them firing and gestured for the troop to loop round and try and flank Sitara, a solid if unimaginative tactic considering the circumstances. It was just that she was trained by better a very long time ago. Just as they were about to move out there was a whine from there own Grav Vehicle, the very object they had chosen to use as cover when trouble started.
-
Sitara was pretty sure that she could easily take down the three of them, she’d been doing this well before they even became an Interstellar power. But she wanted to minimize damage to the farm and the Lor themselves, she wasn’t feeling particularly malicious towards them. Beside she was a much a engineer as a warrior, and that was an also an itch she hadn’t scratched in quite a while. The Lifter wasn’t enough of a challenge for her, just something to tinker with to pass the time. The thing was that all Lor military vehicles used the same interfaces and software to run their systems, and she’d had a chance to study them quite a bit in her short time in this century. She pulled up there Grav vehicles systems on her arm computer quickly working out the various pathways she needed to do to hopefully achieve the effect she was after. Almost as an after though she fired a few shots towards them to make it look like she was paying them some attention.

GM Post The answer was a hail of blaster fire towards her general direction, the officer's pistol adding to the hail of blaster bolts. They were overconfident still thinking that she was a simple farmer, an armed farmer, but a farmer nethertheless. Sloppy thinking from being too long on the frontier and away from really dangerous foes. “Such an assault is a violation of the laws and we can respond with all the force necessary to respond. Surrender now and we shall go easy on you for this crime.” This was obviously a stock response so they could carry on doing what they were whilst still staying within the law, even if it was very much on the edge of such things.
-
It was, as always, a serious situation but Sitara couldn’t help but smile to herself. Her couple of months living an idyllic life on this farm had been great and all, and there was little Asa, but she always missed the thrill of combat. Even after all there centuries she’d not been able to shake it off to enjoy what many would consider a normal life. She did feel a pang of guilt that she’d probably now have to leave all this behind and return to the Praetorians, still at least she could hopefully make things easier to those left behind. “I’ll give you one chance to leave without any further trouble. I really don't want to make this worse for everyone involved.” As she spoke she peered over the top of her makeshift cover, her targeting systems picking out the three Lor. She formulated a plan not planning to play fair by any sense of the world.
-
GM Post The sudden burst of blaster fire had the desired result as the three Lor made for the safety of cover, the officer even giving a very satisfying yelp of alarm. The armoured soldier were a little more professional laying down covering fire as they moved to a safe position. Then there was the sudden silence as both side paused to see exactly what the other was about to do
-
Sitara stood her ground as the blaster bolts kicked up dirt a few millimeters from her, they might be bullies but they weren’t murders. Somewhere deep down there was still that core of Navy training but she couldn’t count on it for long, after all they could just stun her and take what they wanted. She smiled a confident smile and held it for a few moments, long enough to spook them before they came to there senses and started firing in earnest. They she took off for the nearest cover, drawing both her blasters and firing a series of shoots at the group.
-
GM Post The officer just scowled at this,to him this was taking far too long when there were other farms to loot today. And she didn’t expect her words to suddenly change his entire outlook, just convince him that he’d had to go further, right about... “I see in that case I’m afraid I’m going to have to use force to convince you.” He gestured to his two soldiers who raised their blasters to fire.
-
Well now it was officially, this was a simple shake down. One finally jab before they reacted she figured. She subtly adjusted her posture ready to react to the impending attacks. “Well in that case aren’t you pledge to defend me from anyone trying to threaten my safety and livelihood? Because I feel right now like you’re doing more or less the opposite.” Her hands went for her blaster around her waist, whilst trying to remain as subtle as possible. It wouldn’t matter for that much longer either way.
-
GM Post The Officer drew himself up to his full height and tried to look imposing as he could, obviously he was a hair's breath of taking action against her insolence. Which was good as that was exactly what she was aiming for. “This planet is part of the Lor Republic and as such you are considered part of the populous for the purpose of taxes.” he gave a thin smile thinking he might finally gotten the upper hand on the situation “So I suggest you pay the required tithe, or I will be forced to claim reparations in kind.”
-
Sitara smiled a still fairly friendly smile, but with a slight edge that suggested trouble might be on way very soon. The Lor soldier were getting pretty nervous now, there blaster rifles more or less ready for trouble to start. Obviously they’d be out here so long they weren’t use to anyone who showed any defiance. “Actually I’m not a citizen of the Lor Republic, I’m a citizen of Earth. Though truth be told it’s been awhile since I was a resident there.” The Lor officer actually winced a little at the mention of Earth, many Lor had problem with the little upstart of a planet.

GM Post With some excitement Valeria went into some detail to her project, dropping a mix of technical and slang terms that made it difficult for even Sakurako to follow. Though after a few moments of explanation and general hand waving she could see that the project was actually pretty solid and might be almost ready to go to market. If it wasn’t for that pesky power issue. Valeria stopped and looked a Sakurako her excited look staying for a few minutes before falling as she added. “I asked him if I could borrow the design, but he said no.”

GM Post In comparison to the journey to the hall the journey back was simplicity itself, what took what seemed like hour took a few moments and a few twisty turns, either it was Zee’s influence or the place was beginning to like them! Talking off Zee was kind of quiet and occasionally gave Gretchen an odd look, as if she was trying to work out if something had changed from her encounter. In the same vein the lobby didn't look any different than when they arrived, but it somehow felt different, which apparent was how these kind of things work when magic was involved.

GM Post Unlike most schools Claremont didn’t go much for competitive sports, mostly because they couldn’t really compete with any other schools. Though it did have it’s own impromptu internal leagues, full power baseball was popular, and for few with no physical powers there was a limited athletics team. Possie was one of those few who was allowed to compete as a gymnast, people saying she was as good if not better that the last few normals that competed a couple of years ago. With a speed from her athleticness she was quickly at Casey’s side supporting her with her well toned arms, even though one of her arms was apparently broken. “It’s okay I’ve got you. What’s wrong?” Casey was probably wondering the same thing, and it took a few second to realise just what was confusing her. Instead of the rich brown skin on Possie she could see only pink, and then she realised that it wasn’t her skin it was actually the rich blood filled bone of Possie’s arm!

GM Post Valeria listened with an apparent sense of wonder at everything that Sakurako was saying, especially the name drop of these primary science hero. She looked so younger compared to Sakurako, did she ever look that young? But when she spoke she had a confidence well beyond her year “I reckon I could do it in six months, but I see what you sayin’” she was more on the confident side than cocky “Which isn’t enough time the competition. But just what I need is just lying there, I just need to duplicate it and my device would be up and running.” she gestured to the metal lockers.

If Merge was going to say anything snarky she obviously choose to bit if down, she would probably make an interesting Poker opponent. Instead she gave a little nod as if Lynn had said the most sagely thing in the universe. Which it could be for dodgy maze that was romance and love. “The lucky thing about being a duplicator is that you can guarantee that such things won’t get in the way of you work. That and free calories and generally a lack of disease, though it’s bad enough when Nicki get’s a cold!” she gave a little chuckle “Though I promise that I won’t take up Lance’s time when he’d working.”

GM Post Ersi IV was a rather striking Gas Giant which due to some unique elements was a range of bright purple bands and massive enough to be almost a star in it’s own right. Apart from that it was an unremarkable systems that no one really cared much for, making it perfect for less reputable types to hide out, the whole systems wasn’t even fully charted by any of the interstellar powers. It dwarfed the Indomitable, which was not a small ship the slightest, and the ship grey-white hull stood out against the planet's vivid purples. Occasionally even the thin green of the ship's shield could be seen when it caught a particular burst of radiation from the planet's massive magnetosphere. With a little burst of energy the PravaasaH dropped close into the planet's orbit, Sitara wasn’t the best pilot in the Praetorians but she was still skilled, and she gotten to know the battered little ship pretty well over the last few weeks.
