Spdr there's no "e" it just happens to resemble the name of an arachnid . But being pushed to the limit's and just making it through is the spider way so sounds good to me! -
Sitara had been on many battles and skirmishes in her years and had developed a good sense of battlefield awareness. So she noticed that one of her fellow Praetorian’s was in trouble a fraction before her HUD picked up the information. With her fellow dealing with Zadvian she took a few set backward and split the power pike into two parts, spinning them into position as they reduced down into their normal blaster mode. She didn’t need to but Sitara had a sense of the dramatic even after all this time. Now in what sh felt was a good position she fired off a couple of blaster shots towards Pheydyn, what would hopefully give Moon-Moth a chance to recover from whatever he’d been hit with.

Let's try finishing this! Switch over to straight Blastin' Pheydyn with the Pike Attack Roll: 1d20+10 18 if that hits DC 26 Toughness. Move a touch closer to give the other two room to fight Zadvain.

Are you going to be able to handle different PL levels? Because this seems like the kind of thing that Emerald Spider would get involved with. -
Looking a little out of breath a young woman, around sixteen you would guess, popped her head around the door. She looked like she could be from anywhere in Freedom City with her copper coloured skin and her hair in two plaits, until she open her mouth and spoke in an accent similar to Blodeuwedd. “Hello there Blodeuwedd asked me to join in, she should be here already?” And as if on cue a shape appeared from one corner of the room green eye’s glowing from beneath the cowl. “It’s safe to say that I got the text. Sorry for the delay I had to wait for Gwenyth here, she has some gifts that might be able to help us.”

Out of character stuff for this.

It was generally expected, and especially in this new age, that the Praetorian's could wonder the universe and gather information and general reconnect with everything they missed. And Sitara had taken advantage of this having always having a bit of a wanderlust, being substantially older than her fellow Praetorian's, but she was happily returning to the fold and she was very much on a mission. She carried her little Asa, who despite her gray skin and red copper hair bore a striking resemblance to Sitara herself, who was bewildered by the sights and sounds of the station having lived her short life on an isolated farm. Sitara would have liked to have found her daughter somewhere else to be right now, but the time to act was short. She strode into the Monitor Room surprising poor Tra’Nor who almost spilled her hot drink in surprise. “Sorry to surprise you like this, I guess that you were expecting a quiet shift, but I have a led that can’t wait. What Praetorian's do we have on call at the station?”

Kestevan 79 Coalition Victory Station Legion Day GM Post Tra’Nor should have been celebrating with all the other Lor on the station, today was when they celebrated all the achievements of the Lor military and even though the station wasn’t part of the Republic many of the establishments allowed those like her to eat and drink for free. On New Lor-Van the finest ships of the fleet would fill the skies and the finest legion would march to be cheered by the gathered Lor. But Tra’Nor didn’t feel that they really had anything to celebrate, since the fall of Lor-Var during the Communion War the Republic hadn’t been as strong as it once was, the different fleet off fighting to stabilize the Republic from threats outside. Maybe it was the old tales her clone mother use to tell but she felt that the Republic need larger than life heroes and whilst the Republic produced many of her own, like the Grand Nauarchus Frankan, but she felt that the almost mythic Praetorians fitted the bill rather well. So this Legion Day she had volunteered to sit on monitor duty in the CoVic’s Praetorian base bathed in the blue light of the many displays seeing the known galaxy monitored, though nothing apparently was happening today. Apparently today was going to be quiet today, the rest of the universe was taking the day off as well. With the Praetorian's she should have know better.

Whilst this gaudy woman was a villain Emerald Spider didn’t want her to come to any harm, though she wasn’t going to let her get away with the crime. Looking around she spotted a gantry high in the warehouses roof, it was do as a safe spot for not. With a rapid series of calculations in her head she worked out roughly the angle to safely deliver them both to safety, she just hoped that Faster Pussycat wasn’t one of those that were much heavier than she looked. With that she lept into the air and with a series of finger gestures fired a line of superstring into the air. “Keep him busy for a moment I’ll be right back.” With an almost perfect swing she swept past the foe that they were fighting snatching up the unconscious woman to deposit her safely in the overhead gantry. For now she’d have to take a chance that the woman would still be here when they were finished.

Emerald Spider will swing by, snatch up Faster Pussycat and deposit her safely in the rafters (a gantry if the place has one). She has move-by-action and 880ft of move so she can do it in one. To avoid any counter attacks Ref Save: 1d20+9 14

"I've had the pleasure to fight in a ballroom quite recently, well a school hall, and it's not as much fun as you'd expect. Well not something I want to repeat in the near future." it was nice to be able to talk about this stuff with people, for as much as she loved her friends they were either fairly stoic or not interested in such things. "And I do need to practice my close combat skills a little more, especially with a 100% less bear urine!" It was an outside chance but she was hoping that her girlfriend and roommate could maybe learn to get on with each other as they went along. But having them in the same room without, unplanned, violence was for now a bonus.

If you want to set this in Emerald City I can throw Emerald Spider into the mix, or even have her come to Freedom City for shenanigans!

Not enough time for a full investigation, we're not CSI Bedlam , so for now we're have Notice rolls. Let me know if you want to focus on one anything in particular.

“Yes, yes very pleased to meet you I’m Doctor Rosa Thorne, now if we’re not going to fight then I suggest we look for evidence about what happened here.” she was fairly dismissive and totally unconcerned by the whole situation “I’m not an expert, at least not on this subject, but this seems to me that this was no normal fire. Just think we might be able to help avoid a pesky gang war.” her whole tone still remained fairly matter of fact. As she spoke she began examining the floor for potential evidence.

In the little coffee shop Nicki worked at her laptop keeping an eye on the markets and making sure that her investments were still going well. She was fiercely intelligent but with everything hadn’t had a chance to finish her studies, maybe if this worked out she could look at completing her education. Since coming back to Freedom City the distance she could go from Merge seemed to be slowly increasing. I’m sure they’re doing that thing again, there talking about me again. Nicki didn’t often regret much, but it niggled her that her shared link meant that Merge knew her theory that Lynn and Gretchen share a link. It’s very unlikely you know. Beside what are you doing right now? Well obviously that different, we’re not gossiping we're speculating. If you tried to get one with Gretchen then there wouldn’t be a trouble. I’m always very friendly to Gretchen I can’t help it if she rude. Talk about trying to lie to yourself, just try to be a little more pleasant. With a mental pft Merge went back to work serving any of the stores customers, through to the outside world no one would have ever know they’d been mentally talking.

As soon as they were through the portal Emerald Spider was in motion bouncing around the area using both her natural acrobatic and the Spdr Rigs enhancements. As she got closer enough to see what was happening she reacted quickly to defend the very person they were after. With a set of complicated set of finger movements she sent a spring of apparent twinning matter, that seemed to wrap around him as it became more solid. Hopefully she’d timed it right to it would solidify around him before he had time to move out of it’s way. “You know this isn’t the way to deal with employee complaints, a strongly worded letter is a much more effective strategy.” Hopefully he’d find her a much better target, giving the others time to react.

“That’s good to hear, we wouldn’t want you to miss any sleep.” unlike some she was actually genuine in her statement. Though she had more control of her powers she still felt guilty of what she put her roommate through, she had thought several times of moving out to another room, but she wasn’t comfortable enough within herself to move in with her girlfriend and not many would share with her due to her association with their little team. Beside despite her sometime acerbic nature Raina someone Cathy considered a good friend. She actually looked at getting something similar for her this Christmas, but it was outside her budget what with flying home and she’d instead got Raina a nice pair of knitted bed socks. “And yes we're here to pick up some self defense tips. I thought I’d mentioned it to you?” at least she’d tried to, but she’d never managed to work up the courage to mention visiting. Sometimes there was an advantage to the fact that people generally didn’t think that she was a good liar.

Klara Matthews "Well if you sure I'm not interfering." she gave a smile and met Kimber's handshake "He tend to exaggerate number's a lot, one tank tends to become a whole company in his tales, many other achieved much more impressive feats than myself and were normal everyday Russians." she had never had a problem with the people of Russia more the politicians "But now isn't the time for such sad things, you are in a middle of a celebration! I have heard many great things about all that you have achieved, it's why I wanted to come visit this place." The Ministry kept excellent records and she had been impressed with everything she'd heard about these young heroes, it was why she'd popped in for a visit. Though she hadn't excepted to crash there little party.

A cold breeze and a warm voice drifted in as the door to the dojo was opened by the before mentioned Cathy. Her very pale skin was in stark contrast to the brown and blacks of her knitted jumper, showing knitted Greeks heroes doing manly athletic things. "I'm telling you that this will be amazing and really good for us." having been home for awhile over the holidays her Scottish accent was particular thick "They had the great equipment here and the people here are particular knowledgeable, not to mention pretty h..." she paused suddenly upon noticing that said people were already here, and her blush was particular obvious against her porcelain skin "Oh hello there we're here to do some training, I believe it's all been arranged beforehand." she spluttered out not quite fully recovered from her embarrassment.

So one of the appeals of anything set in a High School type environment is seeing the characters deal with the everyday problems of school life, especially if you've got the additional "curse" of powers. So I'd like to try something to hopefully allow characters to experience everyday life in Claremont. The idea I have is for a couple of characters to have a single short encounter with an everyday event, as much as things can be with powers, and have to decide how to deal with the situation. So for instance the characters are hanging out in the hall when they see a couple of students bullying another student. Then the characters would have to decide how they'd help out (because obviously they'd get involved). Depending on what they do they could get in trouble and even a dreaded visit to the headmistress and at least make new NPC friends and enemies. Obviously less confrontational events involving dating and making friends, though many events would depend on what the player wanted for there character. So is this something people would be interested in trying out?

An End Is Just A Beginning...

I must say I'm not keen on the whole idea of breaking the old Raven down to build the new one up, personally I'd prefer if she hand over the mantle realising that she's outmatched. -
Klara Matthews Having a couple of weeks in Freedom City was all well and good but Klara had been kept busy with the official work she’d had to agree to get the time in the city. She’d barely managed to squeeze in a visit to Petia at her bar, but now ironically she had the opposite problem. She had any early start tomorrow so could go out with the girls tonight, but there was still several hours before she needed to turn in for the night. In one of those moments of coincidence she spotted the impressive sight of the castle on top of the Dutemps building. She’d heard and approved to what the latest Martel was trying to achieve, and won’t mind visiting someone who was descended with someone she’d thought beside during the war. A surprisingly short time later she was stood in the doorway of what looked like a party going on, and whilst she was hardly lacking in confidence even this was a little embarrassing for her. “Hello there I hope I’m not intruding, I think they just assumed I was expect up here! I’m Klara Matthews pleased to meet you all.”

Sitara smiled as the officer got into position flanked by his two guards looking all stern a serious and ready for business. It was the standard way to try and intimidate you foe and try and cowl them into getting whatever they wanted. It was a very old tactic that SItara had seen many times before, it worked mostly on the fact that the person on the other side was a civilian who knew nothing on the arts of war. Unluckily for them she’d written the book, well several in fact, on these kind of things and knew how to counter them. But it could very quickly get messy, she knelt down an “Go wait in the barn mummy has to talk to them about adult stuff for a minute.” she hoped they weren’t stupid enough to try and harm her child She stood back up and strolled towards the officer, stopping a deliberate step after she heard the click of their blasters being made ready. She might be trying to wind them up but she wasn’t looking to start trouble, at least not yet.
