ic A Dark and Spiteful God (IC)

Daphne never really felt fear, in her mind the good guys would always succeed, but she was worried which for her was a really big deal. She was so worried that she’d been watching footage from the Terminus Invasion trying to gleam anything useful. D’phne you called? The shadowy telepathic form of R’ik Faax aka Pseudo, thanks to their telepathy they could talk in real time despite the vast distances apart they were. Please Uncle R’ik it’s Daphne, why do the Grue have against vowels anyway? Daphne gave her Uncle a hug even though he wasn’t physically in the room, he was an uncle only as much as all Grue’s were genetically related but the two had formed a strong bond over the short time they had known each other. Something is bothering you, I heard you telepathic summons loud and clear. Alas I was busy with other business. Sorry I was a surprised by what was happening, it was a comfort thing. I don’t know what if you’ve heard... She then explained the events of earlier of the day including the reason, or reasons in this case, that she was picked for this mission. I mean I really want to help but I’m not sure if I’m good enough to help.I mean everyone there has there own documentaries and action figures. She gestured to a series of shelves stuffed with various heroic action figures. But I don’t even get more than a And finally... You will respond as with all living things, each according to his gifts. In other words you will do just fine! Just you just misquote Star Trek at me? I had a good teacher on such things his normal stoic face broke in a smile Are you saying that I’m basically overthinking this? And I should just do the best that I can! Just that I have confidence that you will do well, as always. And maybe one day you will have a little figure of you own! Thank’s I need that! I wish you were here, we’ve so much to catch up on. You know I have important things to do out here, it is a chance to set our people on the path to good. Did you meet her as I requested? Oh yes we had a good gossip over everything, she’s pretty amazing. I think we’re going to meet up again soon. Then you know what we could become, the good that we could achieve. I know but I miss you so much she put her head roughly where his chest would be and he put a hand to pat her head and comfort her. They couldn’t touch but they could feel each other psychic impressions. After a few moments he looked over to one side I’m afraid I must go, something demands my attention. I will see you when I next return to Earth. Daphne gave a little wave as his image faded back away, it was a little sad that he wasn’t here but she felt better. She sat on her bed and began to flick through the channels for something to watch, she’d have plenty of time before she needed to worry about the dangerous mission.- 51 replies

Blodeuwedd was quiet for what seemed liked forever as she sipped on her coffee, she always considered her words but now she gave them a little more thought than usual. Especially as she had to remember and consider which version of the “truth” she was going to use. “I don’t spend as much time in Freedom City as I travel around the country quite a bit on family business. Though I’m pretty sure that I could swing some more time in the city, for if you need my help.” It shouldn’t be hard to swing more time in the city, especially with how important the Seers had been about Crow the first time around.

For her credit Geri didn’t gloat or look particularly smug, instead she looked rather concerned and stepped forward to touch Asad gently on the chest. “Oh honey you did nothing wrong, perfect gentleman and all, but I know my daughter and she’s still loves you. She just go frightened by things moving too fast, you know how tough she had things before you meet her.” she shot Amatullah a side look “We only want what’s best for the two of you, not what’s politically or socially acceptable.”

Lucy was an old fashion kind of girl, something expected for some almost 120 years old, and didn’t have much to do with anything to do with Social Media. She had enough normal media she’d been trying to slowly catch up upon to worry about the digital world. Not that she didn’t, or couldn’t, understand such things she still had a sharp brain despite being undead. It’s just something she hadn’t quite go around to learning. One thing she was good with though was people having garner a large circle of acquaintances that she’d helped as a hero or in court, or just that she’d spoken to on the streets. It hadn’t taken long for her to start to receive texts and calls about the weird events going on at Astro Lab’s. Mobile phones were easy to pick up, being similar to those of her era, just a lot more portable. Though nothing really told her what exactly was going on, apart from something a bit strange, so she made her way to the lab’s to see for herself.

There were some advantage to being allied to the Ministry the main one was there teleport booths that had allowed her to travel to Mexico with no time or effort. There was just enough egalitarian still in her that she just could fly first class, and economy class didn’t normally provide her with suitable room for her size. At seven foot tall Klara could never just blend into a crowd, being a good head and shoulders over most people, so instead she used it to her advantage striding around with confidence drawing people's attention. And people expected a certain things of a giant of a woman which she could often use to her advantage, though it would never make up for not being able to buy clothes easily in her size. Dressed in a bright colourful sundress and shades she made her way through the streets of Mexico City on the way to her meeting.

Daphne listened to everything Lealani and Kimo had to say and with a great deal of determination tries to apply everything that they had suggested. She really tried but she couldn’t seem to stay on the board for more than a few seconds before she again fell into the water. Not that she seemed have been discouraged by her failure, breaking from the water again with a broad grin on her face. “Sorry I’m not sure what I'm doing wrong here, but I can’t seem to be able to stay on the board. Maybe it’s because I’m more at home in space? It just looked so much easier when Elvis did it!” Even with her downer not she was already climbing back on her board togo and paddle back out.

GM Post Zee lead them the little group through a dizzying number of corridors almost all identical Art Deco decorated areas, even if you wanted to it would have been impossible to backtrack to where they’d first met each other or even Zee’s place. As she apparently got near to the destination she slowed her pace a little until she was walking around Grim. “Are you ready for this? This could be quite a shock to the system, meeting the boss and everything else. Not that you have an option if you want to get everyone back home, but it might be a good idea to mentally prepare yourself.” As if perfectly planned they reached an impressive set of doors that according to the signs lead to the Ballroom, because obviously where else would you meet up with a master of stage magic?

Cathy assessed the situation pretty quickly, something serious was definitely going down. She wasn’t sure what was happening completely, but there would be time to work this out later now was time for action. Judging where she could do the best good she began to lay down a sheet of ice at the windows leading outside, hoping to slow down whoever was snatching people without hindering those fleeing from the scene. Hopefully it would be give the others time to react to the situation. -

Though she was excited that her own kind were mentioned she was a little embarrassed by the fact that she knew fairly little about the Grue. Even though she should have perfect control of her looks, she actually managed to blush a little at the fact. “Well I don’t know much about the Grue Unity in this universe, let alone another Earth. But I do speak the language and Mother Unit should be able to interface with any technology they have, so I should be able to help.” She pulled herself up to her full height. “I’d like to go help as much as I can. I’d also like some refreshment as well please.”- 51 replies

Triakosia had a quick look around at the assembled heroes, it was in a certain perverted way flattering that they’d assembled so many A-class heroes in case she had gone bad. Before she could work out any kind of response she was teleported with the others. Well it was a different way to travel, though she preferred to travel under her own power though she could understand why they wouldn’t allow her travel alone. “That’s probably for the best I want to know as much as anyone else if something is lodged in my brain.” she gave Psyche a reassuring smile as she offered the psychic hero her own hand.

Issues with Dimitri aside I think Klara would be perfect for the Aux. -
Whilst she wasn’t so sensitive to cold as some here, she did grow up in a mountain environment, but in environment like this even she needed some protection. It was probably good that she didn’t need to much as it was difficult to find clothes that fitted her frame. She followed behind everyone admiring the stark beauty of the local area, she really should travel more often if it meant visiting such beautiful places. Though she would probably miss Tracy so much, nightly Skype or not. Time thought to focus on the task at hand.

GM Post Whilst listening to them all talk she proceeded to shut down all the lights in the room, making appropriate noise to show she was listening along. She then shuffled them all outside and then closed and locked the door, with a key that apparently came from nowhere. She then took a few steps away down the corridor, before stopping and turning around to the group. “It’s not a big problem, well lots of power and effort but it’s fixable. We just need to go to the center of this place and work things out with the mental force holding this all together.” she paused for dramatic effect, apparently she had a showman’s sense of the dramatic “We’re off to meet the boss!”

guide gab Freedom League lineup and role
Tiffany Korta replied to Ari's topic in The Lighthouse: Catchphrase!
You could always turn it around and have a more hands on international team challenge the FL status for some reason, though keep it to a friendly rivalry rather a full out Civil War. And obviously the League decides to respond by opening it up to new members. Strikes me that the whole thing should be some kind of event with lots of PC's involved. One detail we need to decide is who get onto the team(s) and who gets to decide the membership. -
Options swirled around and Sitara didn’t like the fact that they just didn’t know, she was equally frustrated and curious about the mystery that all this held. “We know that the Khan was hit personally, there’s a good chance he’s licking his wound and planning to reconquer his territory.” She leaned forward and point at the place on the map. “All the answers are here and we need a way to go and have a look, either in the flesh or through some dubious means.” she wasn’t above skirting the law when the situation demanded.

Daphne whilst upset at the revelation wasn’t about to mope around about such things, beside she was bolstered about the kind words Kimber had said. People were in trouble and she was determined to help save them if they could, things were dark but they weren’t completely hopeless. And thinking about it she had one or two tricks that might help in this situation, smiling she reached down to her Marvin the Martian backpack and pulled out a matt black cube about the size of an old Rubix cube, as she placed it on the desk in front of her the cube didn’t seem to reflect any of the lights in the room. “This is Mother Unit she’s the one that raised me on my journey to Earth, she’s also a highly advanced computer able to interact with almost any other computer device.” It’s a pleasure to meet you all. I’m afraid my database about the Terminus has been corrupted, but I’d be happy to help in any way I can strangely her mental voice had a clipped British accent, sounding not unlike Mary Poppins “I also have a stealth ship that invisible to the naked eye, I’m no expert but it shouldn’t be difficult to convert the ship's warp drive to travel between dimensions.” She was excited about being able to help, but she tried not to let it show too much in her voice she’d had learned quite a bit of restraint in her time on Earth.- 51 replies

guide gab Freedom League lineup and role

Actually I was going to suggest the same thing . We could have the core NPC stay as thoae in charge of the League with some of the PC as the alpha team working alongside them. Then we can have the League reach out to ask PC's to help them with a temporary problem, but like how we tend to use AEGIS. -
All humour drained from Triakosia face as she listened to what had happen in Central Africa, she tried to keep up and help where she could in many of the world's trouble spots trying to live up to a legacy of a man she'd never known. "You have my word that this was not my doing, but we all know that doesn't mean I didn't do it. So really I have only one option..." She slowly and deliberately stood up. Long ago when she served in the Legion she had been taught that sometimes one person's actions could effect the way of the world. Sometimes it would be a life saved but other times it would be a life sacrificed to serve the greater good. Until the truth was found out it was important that someone take responsibility for this act. "... I surrender myself over to you authority. All I ask is that you provide some cover for my civilian identity, and get someone to look after Centurion - my cat. He's a little grumpy but a loveable little cat." She paused and looked slightly guilty before continuing "I'd recommend a telepathic in case I'm under some sort of control, Psyche has been through my mind so would be best to spot any unusual."

Daphne quickly discovered that she didn't have any ability at surfing not that she didn't try, she carefully listened to Leilani's instructions but it she just couldn't get a handle on things. Even though she seemed to spend more time in the water she wasn't disheartened at kept trying her best, and was definitely enjoying the entire experience.
