  1. "I whole lost city of metahuman huh, who would have thought that could have happened." Klara gave a sly little smile "You know there's a chance that they really don't want to be found despite our best efforts" Downing the vodka in one, another bad habit she'd picked up, she gestured for the refill before but tuning her attention to the barrage of question from the Sasquatch "I didn't know you're kind ventured out into the world of mankind, I've been lucky enough to meet with ambassadors of you overseas kin." she said a few respectful words in a language that sound similar to Hrnau "As to who I am that's a difficult question, as I've gone by many names over the years. Some call me Воин Женщина or the Warrior Woman or Ms Svoboda, one luck woman calls me Mrs Mathews, and some use words I won't repeat in polite company. But you can all call me Klara." she spoke in a fairly matter of fact way switching flawlessly between Russian and English
  2. Cathy had enjoyed spending time back home among the stark beauty of the Shetlands, it was refreshing that she was put straight to work. Not that she hadn’t been the center of attention the first night down the pud, and she’d spent a fair portion of her time helping people out and being there local hero again. It was a little sad that she had to leave for Claremont again but she had friends she missed terribly and there was that one special person... Tonight she was at the dance as a volunteer to keep an eye on the new starters, make sure that no one spikes the punch or start trouble. And after a few glare they knew better than ask her to chill their drinks, after a few frosty looks. Though that didn’t stop her from dressing up for the night with her going for her fancy pale blue dress, her Frozen dress as she called it, that went well with her pale white skin.
  3. The flight out was the weird part the stress and excitement of leaving for potential adventure, of cause it didn’t help that usually it had her shipping out for another battlefield. Though she’d always enjoyed the flying then as it was almost always one of her friends in the Night Witches. That why she liked to “borrow” the Ministries teleporters, like the one that bought her here to Freedom City. By now she was use to all the stares, at seven foot you tended to stand out in almost any crowd, and strode into the bar with a definite aim in mind. She had a massive resistance to alcohol but it was more a tradition at this point, a quick vodka before she took flight, she blamed Dimitri to introducing her to the habit.
  4. This is what Miss Grue does best Knowledge (Popular Culture): 1d20+9 23. And Initiative: 1d20+4 19
  5. GM Post As the door opened smoke drifted out and star like lights glittered in the darkness, in a strangely rectangular pattern, rapidly through the smoke began to clear and you eyes adjusted to the relative darkness of the room within. The sight within were probably something that none of them expected, a young looking woman in a gaudy performers costume, rather guiltily stubbing out a cigarette. “Oh hey I wasn’t expecting you, well at all really.” she spoke with a prominent New Jersey accent “Come in and close the door, once I’ve finished putting my face on I’ll answer any questions you have.” Whilst she waited she went back to the mirror, with the bulbs that had made the stars before, and continued to apply her makeup apparently unconcerned with the interlopers.
  6. Unarchived at players request.
  7. I guess Frostbyte will have to be the sensible on to keep people in line!
  8. Blodeuwedd's PL 12 so if she's to high Klara might be a better fit.
  9. You know if the first involved a missing arrifact I could maybe dust down Blodewedd for the journey.
  10. Tellum is fairly straight forward, mean Earth. Eleven means nothing to her, beyond what numerology might say, and that I wanted to sneak a reference in Everything is set up to suggest that the place really wants you to open the door!
  11. Daphne gave a little smile and without any effort her skin went the velvety black of space, with little points of light glittering among the darkness. “When I was very little, before I was fully cognitive I would look out into space and copy what I saw, this is the sat field about fourteen light years from Earth. Cause not long after that I started watching Earth’s broadcasts and started to copying what I saw there.” Her skin slowly returned to her “natural” human skin tones “Didn’t someone mention that they’d show people how to surf?”
  12. Dancia had to be honest one of the best things she could do was help new heroes get settled into the crazy world they ended up living in. She’d been helped immensely when she’d first arrived and she wasn’t to make sure she gave back as much as possible, it was something she should do more really. “One advantage of Freedom City being a city of heroes is that it’s got one of the best support systems for said heroes. No one should really fall between the crack in a city like this, unless they want of cause.”
  13. “When I was growing up it was Latin that was encourage and many of the older generation still speak Ancient Greek. Our warriors clashed a few times with the Greeks and spawned a few legends along the way.” she gave a conspiratorial grin “But I was drawn to the younger more vibrant tongues of the up and coming nations.”she paused and considered her next words carefully “Among my people these strong bounds to past blinded them to the present made them unwilling to get involved in the world at large. But then again we’ve never had to involve ourselves with the world at large and it showed sometimes.”
  14. On a final pass Frostbyte added a protective dome of ice around the now prone villain, however tempting it was she was going to make sure she wasn’t harmed. “However appropriate it is we’ll have no Biblical justice today. Today it’s up to the justice system to deal with her” she stepped off here ice slide and stepped towards Monsoon offering out her hand “Beside you're seriously injured let's get you some medical aid. Both of you.” She looked over at Phae and gave her a relieved smile that she was still in fairly good health, she looked forward to playing nursemaid to her later.
  15. With an impressive leap into the air Emerald Spider made the appropriate hand motion send a tread of force into the air, which looked like a thin white cord with several similar cords winding around it, after a few seconds it was joined by a seconds by as she swing downwards toward the streets. The fall was calculated to almost perfection by Peri, when she’d studied physics problems like this she hadn’t figures she’d be the one doing all the falling. The last few meters was a rather athletic tumble, which wasn’t necessary but looked rather impressive, a landed with a small thump on the roof of the car in a crouch.
  16. With a few extra arms for support Daphne took a couple of photographs, and a couple of pics with her cell, before carefully returning the camera to it's owner. She then turned her attention back to Indira. "Oh wow that's pretty good, I'm not so good with reflective surfaces but colors I seem natural at Her arm cycled through a series of colors, many unnatural to humans, before settling on red. "This is the color of my species, there though to be honest I prefer this colour really." Her skin returned to her human tones "Though I don't know much about my own species, I've only met my uncles who live here on Earth. And my genetic code was altered through my trip through space, so I'm not the most standard of Grue." With Kimbers arrival to apparently gossip Daphne stepped back to allow them all to converse. In her mind she was the new character on an already running series so she'd have to step aside for the established characters. Maybe she could try that surfing now?
  17. Sitara had over her many millennia of travel come across many places like 47-42 and liked to track them down whenever she stayed for long in one place. Not only were the inhabitants fascinating and often friend people, as interested in bipedal carbon based creature as they were in them, they were often a good way of sensing the general mood of a place often picking up things that the more common humanoids in their comfortable masses tended to miss. Today she was here to see Theorem to recheck something that she’d, and the Praetorians as a whole, suspected for a little while. Theorem was a sentient mathematical theory, who looked a little like a bubble chamber mixed with a mandelbrot set. Sitara had met one of Theorems species long ago, or maybe even Theorem you didn’t ask a sapient there age, and she knew none better at analysing a complicated set of data for possible patterns. Theorem seemed to feed on the chaos inherent of any set of data until only a pattern remained. As Sitara finished her drink Theorem was explaining the findings, in there rather discordant voice of digital sounds, what they thought the data contained and it was much as Sitara had suspected. It was why she’d been subtly reaching out to everyone she knew inviting them to this place to compare notes and see if anyone knew for sure that someone was apparently planning something big, and probably not something good.
  18. Unit 47-42 Coalition Victory Station, Kestevan 79 Almost every place where starfaring races gathered you’d find a bar like this tucked away where only those in the know would find it. Not the brawl ridden bars where crew who’s spent day or weeks in space could go to let off a little steam but somewhere where those who were a little different could find some company, if not there own species than someone who could understand. Bipedal Carbon based sapients may be the norm, and just as many theories why they did, but others sentients were out there and many liked to gather to share gossip and find company with a drink of something equivalent to alcohol, and for that many went to places like 47-42. Tucked away in the lower depths of the station the bar was a pretty non descript place, easy to miss if you didn’t know of it’s existence, and almost as plain on the inside consisting of just reconfigurable benches and chairs around rather basic holo tables. The bar with similarly rather basic the only bartender being a retired medical droid, 4T-RN, who could tell which drink each customers could safely drink without harming themselves. The only entertainment was a band who only seemed to know one song, but they played it with some gusto. The place was almost totally unknown to the dominant species of the station, not that the few that knew of the place was unwelcome.
  19. Perched on a nearby building overlooking the bank Emerald Spider watched the car with some interest. She’d missed the gang entering the back, Peri had been working on a nearby unit and had only noticed because she’d been taking a shortcut. The lack of activity suggested they hadn’t started yet and it was only a simple bank robbery, the ECPD were pretty efficient and could probably handle it without her. But it wasn’t in her nature to let any crime happen if she could help it, she couldn’t take the chance that someone might get hurt because she didn’t get involved. Shifting in her position, the Spdr Rig didn’t really allow her to crouch for long comfortably, she prepared to swing down to surprise the poor getaway driver.
  20. Downtown Emerald City, Oregon 10 am PDT, 1st August 2016 Emerald City the little city that could a glittering beacon of new opportunities as it embraced the future head on. And whilst it was no Freedom City it even had a few of it’s own superheroes a sign to many that a city had finally made it to the big leagues. But it wasn’t just the law abiding that were drawn to Emerald City, many criminal sorts were also drawn to the city. After all there were so few heroes and so many chances to make you fortune, why not try to make your fortune the easy way. Such was obviously the case for the guy sat in the car idling outside of Emerald Cities First National, he and his fellows were out to make a unofficial withdrawn. Unfortunately for him he’d attracted the attention of Emerald Cities heroes.

  22. OoC for here
  23. Obviously things like this were really, really bad, but they were always also very exciting, as fun as shopping was being a hero was much better. And the new experience of being part of a team, even in the vaguest of senses made things all the much better. Oh wow really? Just give me a second and I’ll see if I can find anything out. Pulling the knitted hat she often wore a little further down over her head she altered her ears so they could pick up sonar, something she’d thought of whilst watching a fascinating documentary on bat. Then altering her vocal cords to produce the sounds she began to try and build up a picture of where and who were in the tunnels she’d just learned about.
  24. Daphne loved to try new things and she’d practicing a natty little wetsuit for just an occasions, but she also had a real love for media of any kind especially if she could take part in someway. “Oh I could help with taking a photo, I have certain abilities that could mean everyone can be in the picture.” To demonstrate she stood up but stretched one of her arms so she could still scratch Avro in that perfect little spot. She’d used her abilities a few, well quite a few really, toget those just perfect selfie shots.
  25. GM Post Almost as soon they changed tact they seemed to have some sort of success, the corridor didn’t seem to change but there was something different about the place. It took a few second to figure out what was quite wrong with the scene, one thing that didn’t look quite like the other. IN the end it was a door that didn’t look like it belong in the rather classy Art Deco styling of the rest of the corridor, instead it was a rather simple and plain door that was a little battered from years of constant use. The door was adorned with a massive gold star with a simple number, eleven, carved into it.
