Kinda in thee moment, and all she's go, so a Notice Roll: 1d20+10 27 for Frostbyte.
-
As Nina feel backward Frostbyte came in fast and low on her ice platform snatching up the unconscious Monsoon. Whilst not as bad she’d been affected as well her ice body spattered with small patches of blood. But that wasn’t important nor defeating the villain, though she really wanted to fight, right now she needed to make sure her fellow teammates were safe. Circling high above the melee she scanned the area for a safe location, before settling on the nearby historical building. Making a decision she made for the building not wanting to wait to long before returning to the battle.

I've had an idea for a series of linked adventures around a brewing gang war on the streets of Lincoln. The idea would be to be dragged in at the bottom and work you way to take down the leaders of the gang. I'm thinking of three characters, plus one of my own, who are generally street level heroes, I'm not overly concerned with PL as this is early enough in planning to cope with such things.

You actually have more threads than I have characters to fill them , but that won't stop me trying . To start with that Gladiators one sound very familiar, and I belive you up. Or is it to early for a gentle poke! As for the others I would like to offer just about everyone: Blodeuwedd : What Should Not Be Unearthed, Blank Space Miss Grue: Thank God, It's Thursday, Dreadful Dares Ms. Britannia: Rex Quondam, Rexque Futurus Revenant: Elvis Isn't Dead The Traveller: Grue Today, Gone Tomorrow Triakosia: Age of Unitron, A Hill of Beans, Race to the Top (and Faster Pussycat is an awesome, if dumb name ), Pirates of the Sulu Sea's Voin Zhenshchina: The Klaw of Benidiction, Cinco por Cinco, Extinction Agenda I'm also always game for more Sitara so I'm game if Rav's interested. -

Dancia clutched her boarding pass, the physical tickets were the reason she wasn’t flying herself, and began to make her way up to board the aircraft. Her paper had only sprung for coach though she wasn’t sure she’d want to travel first class, she often preferred the simple pleasure to being pampered. Except for when she treated herself to a spa day, but that was an extra special treat. She considered her word before answering her fellows passengers questions, she didn’t want to lie but she didn’t want to unnerve her fellow passenger. “I’m sure not every tech con get’s attacked by villains, chance are it’ll be a quiet show.” Part of her would be happy if it was, she had many other places to be helping around the world.

Sitara always enjoy the challenge of combat but sometimes just for a moment she got carried away. Not with the extra flourishes, her ancient armour allowed her to do this, but sometimes she could over think the attack. The attack was a solid blow but she shifted her attack ever so slight, for some reason thinking she could do a better more solid blow. But all she achieved was a less efficient strike that he could easily resist. Still such things happened and she wasn’t going to get upset over a single failure, she’d missed many, many attacks over her centuries of combat material. Well maybe a little swearing in her native tongue, but that was just to be expected.

Sitara waited for the two to have there reunions before making her way over to the two human heroes. She made sure to keep her hands away from her two blasters and not appear as any kind of threat. "Hello there I'm Sitara Shashikala and I'm part of a group called the Praetorians. I doubt you'be heard of us, we've only just returned from a long time away." Sitara wasn't quite sure if she had a future with them after what she'd done, but for now she was still helping them out. "These two were witnesses to an unfortunate incident and at some point the Praetorians will want to talk to them about it all. But there's no hurry for now, I'm sure they have many tales to tell."

“Let’s be honest there are worst planets you could end up than here, though I guess I might be biased on this one. And don’t worry we have a facility on the edge of the system, despite what happened my credit still good. At the very least you should be able to get the ship refueled.” She doubted the Praetorians would abandon her completely, but if the worst came to the worst she had a little something stored away for if things go bad. She walked down to the ship's ramp forming her armour around her feet as she did so, she didn’t like to wear them like this but she didn’t know what the surface of Earth would be like. The rest of the armour she left undeployed not wanting to alarm the local to much. She walked down the ramp taking a lungful of the air, full of pollutants but again she’d breathed much worst before. Sitara stood a short distance from the bottom of the ramp, she didn’t really want to get in the way of the hopefully happy reunion.

Sitara took a moment to wiggle her feet enjoying the feeling of these very old pair of boots, at her age you tended to enjoy the little things in life. That and challenges like this mission had been so far. “Well this region it’s mostly criminal organisation running things, they’ve slotted themselves in almost flawlessly to running this and similar planets. If we can stop them from the more dubious activities then they might make an effective form of government.” The other part of living so long was that you could afford to take the long view on things, sometimes she had to remind herself to focus on the smaller picture. “I’m more worried about this area.” she gestured to an area on the map “I can’t find out anything about the situation, it’s looking like I need to get into the region to check it out properly.”

Though the two women differed in their approach to things they did occasionally agree, and those were time when things could get dangerous. This could very easily be one of time, with the whole situation being so volatile. “That's not a bad idea, having feet on the ground to gather intel about the situation. But who could we send to do the gathering? Most of us are too well know to travel there without attracting some attention, the Khanite must have our faces on record somewhere. And I don’t think we can send any of the new Praetorians into such a dangerous situation. The only way we might get away with it was if one of our number did something stupid, really stupid as opposed to our normal methods.” she gave a smile being one of those who did such things “But it’s not like an opportunity like that is going to come our way any time soon...”

/Agnus couldn’t help but wince at the memory of meeting some of Asad’s relatives, after lifetimes of seeing almost everything nothing really scared here but they came the closest. And she only meet the more moderate members of his family. If they knew what they’d almost done, what she’d said no to they probably would have thanked her. And that was the worst thing of all. “Yeah I remember, I just wish i still had my shapeshifting ability. Though I’d never get rid of this wonderful hair.” she couldn’t help but make a joke of it “Let’s do this before a do something that’ll create a diplomatic incident...”

It was a tough situation to call she could quite easily get people away from the swarm, teleporting a few people away at a time, but she also had the capacity to hopefully harm the swarm drawing there attention from all the innocent bystanders. Putting it that way it really wasn’t really any decision as to where her talents could best be used. “Okay I’m going to try and get the swarms attention, buy you as much time as you need to get away the wounded. If you find anyone really badly injured, or get into trouble for a change, call me and I’ll get back down as quickly as I can.” Aura glowing brightly she flew towards the swarm gathering the energy she’d need to get it’s attention.

Ironically for someone named after her species Miss Grue hadn’t had much to do with her own kind, though she’d heard that they’d done some pretty bad things in the past. Despite this she couldn’t help but optimistically think that such things were done by the bad sorts among her race. It’s why she’d never hidden who she was despite some humans reacting badly to being around a Grue. I don’t think you’ve ever met a Grue quite like me, I’m no longer officially sanctions by the Unity. It hadn’t taken them long to work out she didn’t quite fit into the normal Grue mission statement I can’t speak for the others but I’m more than happy to try and help you stop all this trouble. But we could use a little more information about what we face. A little optimism was a good thing that didn’t mean Miss Grue was stupid.

It was a risk to be sure bringing Merge out, especially with Asad about, but she really needed the extra set if eye’s to juggle everything that could go wrong with today. And somehow she felt better with Merge around, even if she knew that they were all the same person and talking to her out in the open was just as good as thinking things through in your own mind. Beside Merge was the part of her that was really good at creating distractions, and if things were as bad as she suspected they could turn out to be she might very well need a good distraction. Beside today Merge was relatively tame in her choice of dress a smidgen on the side of tacky, which was how she appeared despite efforts to the contrary, but no more than some of the rich folks that tended to stay in these hotels. With a nod at each other, words weren’t needed at a time like this, the two of them entered back into the hotel lobby. Nicki to meet back up with her brother to see the room, and Merge to keep a discreet eye on anyone looking out for Dwayne.
-
GM Post Merge returned to the pair with a number of monks in tow dressed in a number of different robes, a sign that they all came from different order. So were even dressed in civilian clothes apparent the ability to wield magical forces were more important than you devotion to one order or the other. They began to busy themselves preparing the room for the ritual with smattering of different languages, though together they managed to communicate quite efficiently. The three heroes were gently guided to a raised area in the middle of the room and instructed to sit down and get comfortable. “I guess we’re going to do this now whether we’re ready or not.” Nicki’s bravado didn’t quite hide the worry in her voice.

Cathy couldn’t help but blush at the compliment that Phae had given her, an obvious and quite startling effect with her pale white skin, she didn’t have to worry about it for long as the other girls began to open up a little. There had been rumours floating around the school since Phae had arrived, literally being dropped off by an angel would tends to create a buzz about anyone. But as far as Cathy knew this was the first time she’d know for sure about Phae’s ancestry. “There a story that when the Norse raiders came to Shetland’s they bought with them terrible Ice Maiden’s that were a menace to all around them. Some figure that my abilities come from a descendent of those Ice Maidens. They might have been terrible people but I’ve used my abilities to save many lives. You can’t choose where you come from but you can choose who you’re going to be. And I believe you have a great capacity to do good.”
