[ToV] Short Attention Span Theater (IC)
Tiffany Korta replied to Avenger Assembled's topic in Europe
GM Post Whilst the boils were rather unpleasant they didn’t seem to be to deliberating, most people seemed to be shock at this sudden plague that had befallen them. Most were just happy that someone had turned up to help and there were many relieved voice, mostly in Italian but with a smattering of other languages. Meanwhile the giant man, the apparent nexus of it all, was just standing as if trying to decide on something. His mind was easily open to the vast psychic powers of Psyche. There were normal memories of party nights, fuzzy as if under the influence of alcohol or worst. BUt these memories were crowded out in the blind rage of anger, unfocused anger at the world for not being exactly what is should have been. And he was driven move on driven by a source even he didn’t understand for an unknown destination. The man looked around him, apparently finally taking in what was going on around him, before projecting himself high into the air with a single leap. At the top of the leap he briefly paused before he began to fall back towards another part of the city.- 29 replies

When you travelled as much as Sitara had you learned to appreciate the little details, especially when she ended up travelling light. She quickly took her second favourite, well favourite now she guessed, boots and enjoyed the feel for a moment. “I knew there was some reason why she was in charge, she gets my vote anyhow.” She carefully and with great ceremony started to pull on the boots. “So has anything happened since I’ve become a wanted exile? Because my life has been one of seedy bars and bad footwear.” she gave a little wry smile.

ic Graduation Proclamation: Honor Society
Tiffany Korta replied to Brown Dynamite's topic in Unknown Space
Blodeuwedd had studied under some of the finest warriors in the Order, and some time among those of Freedo City itself. Avoiding blows like those from the warriors was almost second nature and she could still concentrate on other matters. If you have something planned now would be a good time. I would figure most people are sufficiently distracted. Landing in a crouch she held Dyrnwyn in front, a pause to prepare and show her skill, of before striking back out at the gladiator in one fluid motion.- 13 replies

A strike on minion 2 Attack Roll: 1d20+12 18 -
Sitara was pouring every ounce she could out of the repulsors, even squeezing a little from the suits integrity field. Luckily for the others she had the comm’s on mute as she swore in ever more colourful way in her native Sanskrit. And to add insult to injury just as she managed to arrive she began to take hits, without chance to redistribute her power system, enough to bring on another burst of quite colourful language. But finally everything was balanced correctly, her power pike was fully charged and more importantly she was in a position to actually hurt the enemy.

Cathy gave Phae a little smile she was happy that she could get through to the other girl “I’m sure with a little help the others will open up to you. It seems that we’ve all had our challenges in the past, it can make people a little tetchy and difficult sometimes.” Apart from the Rainia getting a little tetchy, and rightly so, about Cathy cooling there room she got on pretty well with their little team. “I know what it’s like to be the outsider. Since I was twelve I’ve stood out from everyone for looking like this.” She indicated her ghostly pale skin “Everyone treated me well, I was there hero after all, but there was always a little nervousness of some people around me.”
-
There was a sudden dramatic drop in temperature with the sharpness of a frosty morning as Cathy stood up glaring at Jayaman. “Why do you keep bothering Riley like this? I know you’ve been warned about this before.” As much as the Plastic's bothered them they at least kept things down to simple snide comments “Don’t raise to the bait Riley.” She put a gentle supporting hand on his shoulder “I’m sure he’ll be leaving soon.” She looked dagger up at the boy, ice dagger but daggers more the less. If he didn’t leave soon she was sure a teacher would come over to sort things out.
-
“I’m Frostbyte.” Her voice was warm, friendly and hopefully reassuring “Hold on tight I’ll get you down to the ground.” She made sure her passengers were safe before taking them back down to the ground “I suggest you all get out of here as quickly as you can. Don’t worry we’ll sort this all out.” With hopefully everyone safe from whatever going on her attention turned to what had caused this tide of blood. It was almost something out of a biblical tale. “We should try to find out what causing all this, it’s not coming from the air because I’d be able to tell.” One thing she’d learned at Claremont, though she’d suspected it before, was that she drew moisture from the air. And she really didn't think a blood red colouration would look good on her, though it might work on her hair...

The possible danger of all this didn’t even register to Daphne, to her this was an awfully big adventure of discovery. She didn’t even hesitate in volunteering. “I’d like to come along and see if I can help. Maybe I can see something others will miss?” She’d felt a little guilty about hiding what she could do, but this opportunity had been good for her secret identity, a besides she was sure that the other heroes could handle this well enough. Though just in case she gently reached out with her mind to see if she could psychically detect any other minds out there. Hopefully friendly in this case, it wasn’t like anyone meant them any harm.

Tactical wisdom suggested that one should alway be able to watch the entrance in case the enemy tried a frontal assault, but of cause everyone knew that so bars that this was designed to conceal everyone from each other. Beside Sitara had learned, through years of hard earned experience, that you didn’t need to watch the door as the patrons of places like this judged everyone when the entered. It helped that Seresk towered over almost everyone else. She raised her hand to help them find her little booth, she didn’t want her bare feet touch the floor.

“Thank you it’s very kind of you to say.” She wiped a small tear from her eye and after a moments consideration gave Casey a rather friendly hug “My... double seems very capable I’m sure she knows what she’s doing. I wonder if I’ll be that good someday?” She paused for a few moments before going onto to more important things. “So if this the future then you must have amazing future foods, according to my Sci-fi it should all be in pill form.” She gave a cheeky grin “I could definitely use something to eat.”

Though Klara had been retired for quite some time her instincts were those of a soldier, having trained for the job for hundreds of years, rather than Ace’s more adventuring background. She considered there options about the best, and safest, method to get to the manor. “Corvids is the term for the family of birds including Crows and Ravens, like Sciuridae for squirrels.” She gave a little smile “If we are unlucky enough to lack such powers I can teleport thanks to these.” She tapped together a pair of elaborately decorated bracers “But alas I can only take myself, and only to where I can discern. So I suggest that one of use acts as a distraction as the others make their way inside in relative safety.”

GM Post For those that could “hear” the psychic singing there was a sudden silence, them a sudden sense of the mind rapidly moving closer to them. It was a few more minutes before the voice became loud enough for everyone to sense something, though for most it was the mere feeling of something admiss. By them people had more to worry about with the ground around them rumbling and shifting. To their credit though the Supercrime! Crew, who in there time filed everything up to tyrannosaurus-rex’s, kept filming despite all this. A few minutes later a massive shape burst out of the sands a massive tubular creature with rudy red skin. The creature stopped a good distance above the all, though some of its body was still in the sand, it head was a mass of writhing tentacles around a rather wicked maw that could probably swallow any of them with little effort. Even though the creature had no apparent eye it seemed to be looking at them and didn’t appear to be about to attack just yet.

GM Post If Madame Marvelous was surprised by Tsunami’s appearance she didn’t show it at all, instead springing into action and smiles and charm. “Tsunami, Tsunami, Tsunami. Nope sorry don’t recognise the name. Still a hero is a hero I guess.” She put her hand up in mock surrender “I only wish to talk, I have an offer for you.” She put her hand down and offered the in front of her instead “Or would you prefer this, I won’t judge you little minx you.” She leant in for a stage whisper “Have you heard of a villain called Selfie?” She surrounded the name with air quotes “Apparent she’s popular on social media, though obviously not as popular as myself on of off line.” She began to pace as she talked, it was difficult to tell how much was spontaneous and how much was scripted. “So I think to myself how to take this upstart down a peg or two. I thought a twitter war, but that's been done before, and an actual war would just get messy. So then I thought I should just get someone like you to sort her out.” She stopped and leaned in again, as close “How would you like to capture Selfie? Because I know where she’s going to strike next.”

Cathy was just about to question the use of the word human, when she remembered how she’d first met Phae literally descending from the heavens. Her split lip told her that she should still be mad with her, but if Cathy had one weakness it was that she sometimes cared a little too much. “If it help’s I don’t think any human really understands humans, even the really clever ones.” She paused not sure if she should really continue “As much as enjoy everything Freedom City has to offer, I miss the stark quiet beauty of my home village. And sometime when it get’s too much I take to the air and just sit up in the clear air. I guess I’m saying that sometimes you just need a place to relax and work thing out.” She paused and looked a little guilty “Sorry I guess I tend to ramble a bit sometimes, if you want I can shut up and we can finish our punishment.”
-
Cathy had heard some of the stories about Riley’s past, or at least enough to know why this might upset him a little. She gently put a comforting hand on his shoulder. “Riley’s had a problem with such things in the past, it’s kind of complicated.” She wasn’t sure if the new students we’re ready for the whole from another dimension truth “We’ll have a word with Robin about it later, discuss our options as to what to do.” If anyone could talk sense in Riley it was Robin, though that didn’t always work “We were going to show Lee around the school a little care to tag along?” She tried to quickly change the subject.

Cathy tried not to show her discomfort at Riley’s choice of word, he could be a little rough around the edges at time. Having lived around “salt of the Earth” types back home she was pretty use to people like that, it was comforting and refreshing sometime. It was probably one of the things she liked about Phae, among other things. “I think what Riley’s trying to say is that we’re all a group of outsider’s, with various stories of woes. And I think the probably with the name is that some of the stories about their exploits are pretty far out, there one about them defeating an almost godlike being!” Even Cathy was a little dubious on that one. “It’s okay you not disturbing us at all. And hi there sorry I don’t think we’ve met.” She beamed at Kyle when he arrived “I’m Cathy, pleased to meet you.”
-
Almost without thinking Cathy reacted to the sound of the the log flume, sending a wall of ice up the flume to provide some support to the perilously hanging car. She couldn’t help but frown at the slightly red tinge to the ice as it formed, not a good sign or a good look. “I guess we’ve got workhere to for. Remember you promised me a study date later.” She took to the air forming her ice into a rapidly expanding spiral until she came beside the descending Monsoon. “Do you need a hand here? I’ve got enough room her for a couple of people if you want.”

The Khanate made terrible shoes, that was the only thing she was worried about right now. When she “fled” Earth she’d not had chance to gather any of her belongings and her boots had been donated to a good cause. And she’d skirted Lor space on her way out this was as the Admiral had a pretty long reach within their territory. Still apart from poor shoes she’d enjoyed her time bumming around star systems, getting into one or two scrapes along the way. Her bare feet up on the booths table showing off her polychromatic painted nails, one thing they did well was what the Terrans called “bling”, she waited for her colleges to arrives. As much as she enjoyed travelling on her own it was still good to meet up with, very, old friends and exchange tales over a drink or two.

Sitara padded up to share the view, her bare feet showing intricately painted toenails that almost seemed to dance as the caught the light. She again took a moment to enjoy the view of her home planet, and a little pride in its achievements. Before returning to the Praetorian, if she could after aiding the two over the Admiral, she hoped she’d have some time to set foot on the planet. “You should have seen Earth when I first left for space, must have been...” She did a quick calculation adjusting for her time in stasis “...around five thousand years ago, give or take the odd decade. Almost no large scale technological development, agriculture had only just become a thing. I thought it might have been destroyed or conquered by some Interstellar race, yet it endures and even thrives despite all that’s happened.” It might have been a little bit of hyperbole but it was nice to actually have rediscovered her home world, let alone be given a chance to possibly visit it’s surface.

Blodeuwedd almost instinctively had stuck to the shadows, even though she didn’t need them to hide, her dark cape fluttering around her in a dramatic fashion. “How about we do both? One of us can stay clear in case trouble starts whilst the other goes to talk to Madame Marvelous. And seeing as it is you city I think you should do the honours...” She made a little gesture down toward the villain “I’ve got few earbuds left over from my last mission so we can keep in touch, and you know I’ll be there in an instance if trouble starts.” Blodeuwedd knew from experience that Giang was more than capable in almost any situation.
