  1. Klara's Initiative: 1d20+7 21.
  2. It wasn’t quite flying but in Cathy’s opinion it was almost as good as the real thing as she sat on her platform of ice. She’d gone out today for a little quiet time so she could get some homework done without any of fun distraction that Claremont offered. As much as she enjoyed spending time in a vibrant city like Freedom, sometime she missed the stark quiet beauty of her home. The time had been fruitful and she had managed to get some quality work done. She’d packed everything up in her backpack and was about to return back to Claremont for some more of those distraction when she saw from her vantage point that something was apparently happening down at Ocean Heights Amusement Park. Without any pause she began rapidly made her way down to the park to see if she could help out in any way.
  3. It had taken some time and effort but Klara had managed to arrange to visit a new old friend down at Lonely Point Naval Base, so again she was back in Freedom City on superhero business. She was enjoying a conversation with the taxi driver when the sky darkened. Having lived for so long in the UK a suddenly darkened sky wasn’t that unusual but it didn’t take much to determine that this was caused by the weather. “Someone has been watching too much Hitchcock it seems. I believe that we shall have to stop here.” She carefully counted out the fare, taking a few second to calculate an appropriate tip “I won’t ask you to stay around, indeed I suggest you get well away from the area.” As she made her way to what she thought was the center of the disturbance, she carefully typed out a text to apologise for not being able to make her appointment. Not that she was sure that the Navy would mind her missing this one.
  4. Cathy stood beside Riley as they waited for Ms. Summer to do the necessary introductions, they seemed to spend more time here than she’d expect but luckily never so far for anything bad. Still waiting in the office was still somehow nerve wracking and she had to spend some effort to keep her aura of cold under control. “You know you’re pretty good at the whole tour bit, I think you have some diplomacy skills of you own going on.” She guest that Riley and Robin were, for the most part, good for each other.
  5. “It seems I am a victim of circumstances in that manner Mr Smith.” Her tone was pretty light, suggesting no malice in her statement “I warn you that we’re not exactly the cool kids, though despite what some might say we’re not super villains in training. Less Slytherin and more... Hufflepuff.” She trailed off not exactly happy with the analogy, before bouncing back with her happy tone “Come on let’s get you the admin office, then we can show you to the dorms.”
  6. Sitara’s Delazti was pretty rusty, something she planned to work on when they had time, but it didn’t take much to get the basic’s of the AI’s meaning. “Hang on let me try something, luckily these ships were built to be pretty flexible.” With a deft hand she began to reroute the ship's audio pickups through the systems translation algorithms and feed them through to the emergent AI, hopefully allowing them to “hear” what was being said anywhere within the ship. It shouldn’t take much before the systems would be able to do this sort of thing all by itself. “There we go, we should be able to hear each other now.”
  7. “Oh hello there you must be new! Pleased to meet you I’m Cathy, I’ll got a little time to give you the quick tour.” Cathy’s accent was a thick Scottish burr, though softer than when she’d first arrived in the States. The pale skinned girl gave, what she hoped was, a friendly smile. Whilst the weather might have been improving there was still a slight chill in the air around Cathy and she bundled in several layers of clothing including a rather startling chunky jumper with a knitted oak tree pattern. “As well as taking you to the Headmistress I can give you the rundown on the various cliques, who to avoid and who to be seen with.”
  8. A change of circumstances demanded a rapid change of tactics, something that Sitara excelled at after centuries of experience. Repositioning her Power Pike, with a little spinning flourish that wasn’t really necessary, she changed the settings before sending out a rapidly expanding ball of energy at the new enemy.Whilst doing that she rotated her comm’s frequencies to contact the Praetorians still within orbit. “Enemies are retreating we are attempting to follow. Things have as usual gotten complicated!” She also uploaded a map tagged with everyone’s locations as she could best simulate “What’s the situation with you up there?”
  9. Going to hit an area with a Damage 7 area trying to get as many drones as I can without hitting my own side.
  10. Despite what some might expect Cathy had been in trouble a few time before, she was still a teenage girl, though rarely so physical as those at her previous school had been a little scared of her using her powers. Still she was a little embarrassed by what had happened, she was sure it would only reinforce some people view of her misbehaviour. She had the hood of her parka pulled over her head, and pair of borrowed sunglasses, to hide her black eye and split lip that she’d been unsuccessful in totally hiding with her limited makeup skills. “Are you sure that’s a good idea Ms? That kind of why we’re here in the first place.” She felt embarrassed almost as soon as she started talking, trailing off a little at the end. The teacher gave her a not unkind look and carefully explained the situation. “The aim of this is not just punishment, it to help you work out you problems.” Apparently this was as much explanation as she was going to get Cathy looked at Phae not quite sure how to talk to the teenager “Shall we then?” She mumbled grabbing the gear and shuffling towards the assigned area hoping that Phae would follow.
  11. I think most of my characters would fit, but I'd like to do something with Voin Zhenshchina.
  12. “Next time we have a break I should tell you about my youth back on home planet. Gods and spirits wandered the land freely, it was much a pain and a wonder about half the time. I’ve always wondered why you don’t get that these days.” As she spoke she began to work again on the open panelling working on helping this AI emerge fully. “I’ve shunted and shut down a few systems to give it more memory to expand, I’ve also hooked it up to the display system so it should be able to form an image maybe even a full Hologram.”
  13. Daphne was enjoying lunch with her friends, or at least her virtual ones, enjoying the ebb and flow of the forum conversation. She was enjoying a interesting conversation about the introduction of the classic golden Johnny Rocket to the TV show when she felt something strange. She’d been psychic since her birth and had only gotten stronger the longer she spent on Earth, the psychic murmur of humans was like a comfortable safety blanket. The psychic presence she suddenly felt was definitely not friendly in any shape or form. Without hesitation she took off to she if she could help, forum time could wait until later. Quickly on the scene she decided to drop in and say hello to the police, sometimes they tended to think for some reason that she was the bad guy and cause all types of trouble. She hoped the two pigtails hat she teased her hair into would make her red skinned Grue features less threatening. “Hello detective I’ve come to see if i can help.” Noticing the other hero she gave a broad smile and offered her hand “Hi there I’m Miss Grue pleased to meet you.” Whilst Daphne was playing it cool, she was actually pretty excited to meet any new hero. Though now she was a lot better at hiding her emotions, mostly...
  14. Being thousand of years old, and having been placed in stasis twice, many of the systems in her armour didn’t work as well as she should and in the struggle to get the Praetorians back up to speed she’d neglected the necessary work to get things working again. Sitara was very much aware of this as she activated her anti-grav’s to bring her closer to the actions going on around her, it was something she’d have to look at very soon. As she went through the necessary repairs and parts she need she rested the pike and prepared a shot of the weapon against the target, sometimes she found her attacks easier when she was in this state what was that Terran word for it again? In this Zen like state she fired off a shot scoring a solid hit upon her target.
  15. “It seems we have bought trouble upon you house, both without and within, and for that I offer you a heartfelt apology. For why we still fight is a tale that is best told in a friendly space with access to large amounts of alcohol if you wish I know this little pub tucked away in Freedom City where we can share tales of each other's woes. And you Talya must come and visit my home and taste my cooking meet all of my family, my youngest has a boyfriend! The poor lad seems scared each time he visits that I shall suddenly decide to break him in two for daring to be male!” She gave a little laugh before looking over at Dimitri “I wouldn’t mid doing either with you Dimitri, but I guess the wounds we caused each other are still fresh even after all these years.” A look of genuine sadness passed over her face before she was all business looking ready and willing to face whatever was going to happen. “But all this is academic for the time being. What are we going to do now we’ve got them exactly where they want us?”
  16. Shall move her full allowance and fire off a blaster shot at Sai'x Attack Roll: 1d20+10-2 24.Normal DC 26 Toughness Save.
  17. Cathy wasn’t particularly bother by the snowflake joke, she’d been called every cold related joke under the sun. Especially after Frozen came out, which was fine as she was a big fan of the film and quite like the cold related puns. And Erik did have a presence about him that made him quite interesting to watch, there was a glamour about the dojo that was nothing like the Claremont. It took quite a bit of her concentration not to low the temperature around her with the excitement of everything going on. So she stood looking attentive at the demonstration that would soon start.
  18. Cathy gave a little sigh, she only been half serious about them forming a team, but she realised that it would probably be a distant hope in any case. “From what I’ve heard teams here seem to get a lot of benefits, like Jock’s in all those High School movies. So I’m guessing you have to be in good standing with the teachers.” she looked around at her friends as much as she liked them they weren’t what most would consider the bastions of School Spirit “Madison lot’s more likely to get a team together than we will.” not a thought that made her happy.
  19. Sitara couldn’t help but admit that she enjoyed moment like this when she had half a dozen different problem to solve in a very short time with danger of injury and even worse. Options whirled around her head as she considered possible avenues, she’d done her research before coming along on this mission. “We need to launch quickly the Navy will have this place locked down to ship pretty soon.” she bought up a display and rapidly began entering a series of rather complicated looking instructions “I can spoof the Lor Navy’s sensor for a while so they think we’re one of them, so give us enough time to pick up you crew. I could probably teleport them if you have there biosigns on record, but the place will be crawling with Marines by now...” She bought up a holodisplay of the station and after examining it for a few second before pointing to a relatively isolated part of the station “There an emergency airlock here where we can pick them up, instruct them go there and we’ll pick them up. Now can you fly this thing or should I?”
  20. Arslan slipped off her headphones a slightly surprised look on her face at this turn of events. “I can feel something, like a tingling at the back of the skull.” she spoke English with a heavy accent, a few of the various film crew apparently had a similar feeling but none as strong as Paige. “My people have pacts with many creatures and spirits in this area, the rock somehow helped with conversations with such things.” Klara explained in a fairly matter of fact like this was an everyday thing “I know the ritual word to contact such them but I’m no shaman, if you’re confident to do so them I could teach you how to call these dwellers below.” The desert around them was a flurry of activity as various film crews set up equipment and got various shot of the stark but beautiful desert that stretched in every direction around them.
  21. I've plenty of characters to go around whoever you feel works best to make up the numbers.
  22. I think I shall have Triakosia as a little Puppet Paragon! And either Frostbyte or Miss Grue depending on what's planned for the Claremonters.
  23. “The soul is a complex and mysterious thing, sometimes thing pass between lives. Or so I believe I was never much of a scholar. In the circumstances introductions seem unnecessary but I am Klara Matthews, though you may remember me as Klara Svoboda.” It was strange how they’d only met up only a few times since Klara had un-retired but they all seemed to naturally into the same patter of conversation. “You look as radiant as normal Talya maybe even more so than normal, something obviously agrees with you. Alas they never made go-go boots in my size, though I definitely have the legs to pull them off.” she stuck out one of her naturally long legs to demonstrate the point “And do not worry about the house if we have a disagreement we will take it outside.” Klara manner was light and friendly but something was off about all this, and talking of something off... <”Please show a little decorum in someone else's home.”> her Russian was as flawless as her English <”And I have no desire to provoke you into violence, you views were made clear the last time we met. I came here under the impression that you wished for my help, it seems that someone is trying to fool us for some reason. Do you think the American is less clueless as he lets on?”>
  24. Sitara had probably made her mind up well before the Admiral had spoken again, but it finally pushed her to put a plan into motion. She crouched down beside Aquaria and Jessie apparently to check on the catatonic Jessie, but as part of her plan. "Try to keep her calm I'm afraid this might get a little uncomfortable." she whispered to Aquaria. As she stood she was calculating complicated maths in her head trying to work out distances and weight, all whilst working in multiple dimensions. Compared to that the fact that she'd have to include Ruby from across a full room was merely a technicality. But Sitara had been doing this before most of the species in the room had even left there home planet. Typing the figures into her wrist comp she gave Cavalier a sad smile she really liked the kid, he spent time helping her with her English and just being a good friend, and she hoped he wouldn't get into trouble for what she was about to do. "I'm sorry to do this but it's something I need to try and do. Please make sure the Admiral understands that is my choice and not an official sanction action of either of our organisations." Then with a push on her comp she sent herself, the two Terrans and Ruby hurtling through hyperspace a short distance to just outside the docking bays. It was pretty and a little unsettling, but at least they didn't arrive in any of the bulkheads. "Okay lets see what this ship of yours can do, and quickly before they figure out what I've just done."
