Daphne had spent her life among artificial lifeforms of various sort and was very comfortable among them, indeed she could sense the comforting background presence of Bee. Though she didn’t want to intrude while the ship was busy. She also had a practical, if not particularly scientific, knowledge of how similar ships worked though she was happy to leave such things to the experts. Instead she kept quiet and enjoyed the tour taking copious notes about everything interesting that she saw around her. As she only had her backpack, with Mother Unit tucked safely inside, she was ready and able when they offered a chance to see what was going on outside Bee.

Februray Vignette - Love Is a Many Splendored Thing

A Cat’s Tale Triakosia As he snoozed he mused that whilst humans were strange the one he was currently staying with was stranger than most. Still staying with her was a lot better than the people he'd stayed with previously, who were really mean to him so he'd left them to stay a while on the streets. They'd first met when he'd went up to her to ask if she'd share her tuna with him. After explaining his case carefully she’d seemed to be happy to see him and share her lunch with him. He’d allowed her to fuss him a little and scratching him behind the ears whilst talking to him, and whilst he didn't really understand humans mewing apparently he seemed to cheers her up. After finishing their lunch they both decided it would be good for him to stay with her for a while. Her house was a little small but it was comfortable and she often left the window open so he could explore the surrounding area around their new home. And she also feed him quite regally and generously, though sometimes she was late and he had to remind her instantly how hungry he was, which often resulted in extra treats so he forgave such treatment. This mostly made up the strangeness of his owner that he'd first notice when the carrier came our, a certain sign of an impending visit to the dreaded vet. He was going to run and hide under the couch but somehow he was in the carrier before he could even react. The second time this happened he'd managed to hide on top of the cupboards, but she'd flow up and picked him out of his hiding place. He'd been carefully watching humans for some time now and he'd never seen anyone else flying, at least not close up. He'd dug his claws in to show his displeasure but they didn't seem to have any effect so he'd gracefully allowed her to take him that time. He still hadn’t worked how she managed to find him each time, but that wouldn’t stop him trying. Despite these occasional misunderstanding he’d come to appreciate her company and tried to look after her. Often he’d sit on the machine she tended to spend ages working on, to take a break and pay more attention to him, or occasionally bring her a bird of mouse as she never seemed to eat anything healthy. As she snoozed he had to admit he was quite happy living here with her. Dancia sat down heavily on the couch reaching over to scratch Centurion, her big orange cat, behind the ear. She’d drawn the short straw of this month's fluff article which had to be some kind of quirky take on love. “How can I write this when I’ve only got you in my life? Maybe I should write this about you Centurion?” he opened one eye giving her a look suggesting what he thought of the idea. “Yeah I guess you right! I wonder sometime what exactly you are thinking...” -
Mike’s words must have jogged some memory as the scene shifted again to one a a shattered cityscape. The tall ragged buildings of steel and glass could have been from any 21st, or even 20th, century city. Behind rather substantial barriers crouched a number of soldiers their equipment and insignia suggesting they weren’t from Earth-Prime. A quick scan of the area showed two rather important things were missing. Dancia didn’t appear to be among any of the soldier manning the barrier and though the sounds of their attacks could be heard and seen for some reason none of whoever the soldier were fighting couldn’t be seen.

GM Post The camera rapidly swung round to show the rather beautiful Art Deco stylings of the San Diego City Hall. Stood at the bottom of stairs leading up to the main entrance was a woman who looked liked she could have stepped out from that era. With a combination of pure white skin with black dress and hair (in a suitable bob cut). The camera showed a little more detail as it got closer showing the woman face, someone well known enough that she needed no introduction, though the reporter did anyway. “It appears to be Madame Marvelous, and she’s apparently surrendering!”

Blodeuwedd watched everything going on from a good vantage point, she’d been calculating a good route before there little friend showed his hand. “Look’s like our friend has made that a bit of a mute point.” Right now it was difficult to tell what the newcomers intention was, it wasn’t unheard of for anti-heroes or even villains to apparently help heroes out. “I’m going to make my way down to you, try not to provoke the giant man until I get there.” as much as she liked Tona she could at time be a little impetious.

“Maybe I should have signed you up, I’m sure that it’s all about to make a comeback.” she gave a rather cheeky smile at Ulysses. “Don’t worry Asad is on the level, and know about my out of hour activities. We’ve known each other for quite a while now.” Things had been a little weird since that day and Agnus had been a little reluctant to ask for his help, but she had to admit his money and influence open door that a mere business woman / recording artist could even get near. And beside it was nice to see him again.

Sitara gave a smile to her colleague/commander she’d seen similar many time ago in her lifetime. “Why do you think I’ve never taken a promotion?” she gave a little laugh “Far too many other things to occupy my time.” She leant on the edge of the holographic projector apparently studying the map with apparently some contemplation before speaking again. “These things tend to settle down eventually, new societies will form and empires and federations form. Still wouldn’t hurt to help these things along a little. How about we send some Praetorians to do a little recon and a little diplomacy?”

Daphne was in the process of working out how much she should stay undercover, a girl reporter shouldn’t be able to lift heavy weights even an intrepid one, when the problem was quickly taken out of everyone hands. That helpful left more time for her to consider other more important possible dangers to this mission. “Erm exactly how much damage could it do any kind of organic matter? And what about electronic devices?” She didn’t want herself of Mother Unit getting hurt by this thing, especially as neither of them were not exactly normal.

In her many years of combat she’d learned what a pain in the arse and something you’d wanted to deal with as quickly as you could. Her armour now fully deployed she activated the suits anti-gravs taking to the air and towards whom she guessed was Rux. As she got closer to optimal range she clipped to two part of her Power Pike together and with a flourish she rested the pike on her shoulder to get a good solid shot. Everything in place she fired off a single blast of energy for a good solid hit. Though apparently it didn’t apparently do much damage to the villainous robot.

The inside of the station was bio-organic in nature looking like it been grown rather than engineered, though Sitara had seen similar in her many centuries of travel. The air was breathable but had a stale musty odour and even after scan showed it safe Sitara choose to keep her helmet on. “I can’t get anything resembling life signs with everything being so alive, well actually I’m getting life signs from everything but it’s much the same.” She moved to the inner airlock and examined the controls for a minute or two, taking a little longer than normal to figure out how it worked. “If you ready I’ll open the airlock, but ready for anything I have now idea what to expect.”

“Well I’ve been travelling around a bit, but I try to keep in touch with as many as I can. Tona’s still out of sorts with what’s going on with Sam, though she got herself a job and a place to live. And Glamazon is well Glamazon everything she decides to do is kinda loud.” Behind Blodeuwedd a television was playing mostly to itself, though what caught Giang eye was an apparently live report. Apparently something strange was going down at San Diego’s City Hall, the reporter was still laying out an introduction whilst the crawl at the bottom of the screen didn’t provide much information.

“Ah not quite, does the accent not give that away?” she gritted her teeth a little not to lose her temper, after all she reminded herself she was still rather new. She wasn’t about to tell the police how to do there job, FCPD must have to deal with some pretty weird stuff everyday, so she followed Detective Archer’s lead and went over to check on the Security Guard. She didn’t get to close, the cold that always surrounded her might do him some harm, but instead stopped just by the car's door smiling in what she hope was a reassuring manner.

Not having committed as much to the simulation as some Cathy wasn’t quite as upset as the others when it ended, though she was disappointed that she wouldn’t have a chance to go against this Comrade Frost. Though that might have been due to being called Frost, Jr. She followed the others out of the simulation trying to lighten the mood a little. “Well obviously we need to show them how it’s done and form our own team with Blackjack...” she gave a little hopeful smile at her lame pop culture joke.

Cathy might be an outside but she’d been around enough teenager at home to read most of the signs pretty well, but a school full of Shetland teenagers was very different to an American night club. Working out what was going on was easy, working out what to do was much harder. She looked around for her friends, but they both seemed to have found fun of there own. Feeling a little embarrassed and self conscious all she could do was dance a little whilst giving Maddie a slightly embarrassed little smile.

Well this made thing much more serious and Daphne could help but feel a bit guilty for letting the man in, he seemed so nice it wasn’t like that when the bad guy showed up on television. With a quick look to make sure no one could she what she was doing she stretched her arm up to reach Mother Unit and carefully put the cube back into her backpack. Pulling the backpack onto her shoulders, ready for action if necessary she carefully reached out to Paige. Is there anything I can do to help? I know that Mr Haliday was a very bad man, are we in any kind of trouble?

“I’ve got an old Soviet truck that should fit quite a few comfortable, I need quite a bit of legroom as you can guess.” she grinned at her own joke “I’ve got a guide who know a lot of the less touristy sites, we should be able to find a sacred spot where we can contact these spirits.” She pointed to the young woman who was listening to music oblivious to the whole fuss going on around them. Klara got the young woman attention. “This is Arslan, I’m afraid she doesn’t speak much English” she switched flawlessly to Russian to speak with the woman <”I want you to take these people to that Shaman Stone you said was nearby.”> <”But I thought you wanted to go straight to the Altay border?”> <”Well this is far more important, besides I’ve got plenty of time.”> With a little wave the young woman went off to prepare for the journey ahead of them. With everything set into motion Klara had nothing to do but wait, though with Fast Forward around she didn’t really have to wait for long. She remember her encounter with him and his mother rather well, she’d been down in London to do some rather mundane paperwork for the Ministry and hadn’t been meant to leave the building. Tracy had been so made at her for that, though it had been a lot of fun making up that night. She smiled and looked rather wistful for a few moment enjoying the memory. “Ah yes Clock Queen wasn’t it? Is your mother okay?” she asked with a little caution, a lot could change in what seem like no time at all for her.

Daisy swung her feet back and forward for a few seconds, looking much younger than she was as as she did so, before answering. “Oh now I go to a regular school, Ripley High School, it’s difficult to balance the two but I think it’s worth it.” she paused for a moment and a moment of doubt flashed across her face “But I’m sure it would be amazing to go to a school like this, surrounded by your peers and learning how to be a hero!” She gave a little smile apparently happy at her masterful display of diplomacy.

Lukēkā gā'um̐ Nikki sipped her coffee for a few seconds, apparently taking time to think about how to explain the situation. “If i understand it, and this really isn’t my field of expertise, it’s not just a telepathic link. I believe the Brother described it as an extension of the person will, so tld yes powers should work.” she gave a little smile “Beside I’m not keen on you duplicating yourself multiple times, especially after the last person to try that trick.” Another Dimension Merge looked a little sheepish, an unusual look on someone who normally projected confidence, before admitting. “I had to leave before the task was finished.” she was more confident however when she claimed. “But I’m sure he was put down pretty quickly.” She then looked around the room with a critical eye, a taste of the old Merge in her dismissive view of it all. “I’m pretty sure a rescue plan is being formed as we speak, though I’m not sure how long it will take. So shall we sit here waiting like good girls, or shall we go look for room 237?” Merge gave Gretchen a wicked grin.

Of all the times to be recognised it would be now! Agnus would have been chuffed if it didn’t jeopardize all that they were trying to achieve. Still one thing Agnus was good at was thinking on her feet. “Wait... no...” she covered up the thinking time by apparently thinking about it a finger on her lips in a way she hoped she was cute “It may have been the Manchester or Madrid rally, I try to go as many as I can.” It was difficult to keep up with both Rafael’s and Dee’s “conversation” especially with all that Dee was finding out, but Agnus was just about keeping on top of things. Don’t worry Dee we’ll get to the bottom of this. Just keep it chill whilst I work my charms!

Well this was getting interesting real fast! As much as she was tempted to just stun everyone and sort things out latter she couldn’t react quick enough before trouble arrived. Holding her arms out so not to look to threatening she spoke to Jessie in a calm reassuring voice. “If you run now it’s never going to stop, you’ll going to have to keep running forever. Let me help you, help both of you, and we’ll get you back home safely.” It was a gamble if she’d choose not to run, but it was something that was worth trying at least.
