“I’ll see you all there then.” Creating her ice platform underneath her she took to the air taking a slightly different route from the other two so only avoid getting them all into trouble. She also kept low so not to be obvious to anyone watching the air, it was disturbing how good she was getting at this being sneaky stuff, the two R’s were obviously a bad influence on her. She travelled at quite a clip but being use to wide open spaces found it more difficult to navigate in the city, though the grid layout help to some extent, so she arrived at the Mall slightly behind Raina. She clumped up to the fountain with snow still on her boots from her form of transport. “Are you sure the cheaper shops not a better option? I’ve not got that much allowance to spend. And I definitely draw the line at shoplifting.”

Sitara, the Traveller as some called her, had an ulterior motive for coming along on this mission. As much as she was committed to helping the Praetorians rebuild for this new galaxy she still had her wanderlust, an itch she had to scratch now and again. She’d spent months working on their new headquarters getting things so they were to some extent self sufficient, which was great and all but for someone like her a little tiring. Luckily after a few millenia out of action everything in the galaxy were new again. “Everything’s running to spec, above if I say so myself. All the systems are at your disposal.”

ic Graduation Proclamation: Sound and Fury
Tiffany Korta replied to Tiffany Korta's topic in Freedom City Stories
“We are sorry we do not much dealing with sophonts...” “...not until he came and enslaved our people.” the conversation flowed between the two insectoid creatures they sounded generally sorry about the intrusion “He came a took our people to do terrible things...” “...but we escaped and we have to means to recover our people.” The one at the back patted the case they were carrying in the main arms, and rather pleased look on his face. “We have the key to recover them and bring our people back to our home planet....” -

The lead Duke gave a little bow his normal manner returned to him, all of the Dukes looked healthy recovered from his rather gaunt original appearance. “My dear what an absolute pleasure to see you again. I must admit this was a complete surprise, and not an unpleasant one in the least.” The other Dukes were flexing and getting use to their new bodies. “I can assure you that I wish you no harm, I only needed the abilities of out now absent thief. With you leave I shall leave you with you other dilemma.” He was backing away but none of him took his eyes off of her, obviously just in case. -
Klara offered a hand to help her love up off of the chair, all her anger evaporating as she looked into the face of her true love. “I’m afraid that the night been ruined, I’ve lost my appetite now.” Klara sound suitably upset at this fact. “So you two had a good chat then? Because out here we had an interesting conversation.” “It could have gone better, but I think we’ve cleared the air a little. Though we probably owe them for a new counter. What did you two talk about?” After counting out a suitable tip for the meal and damaged they began to stroll down the street. “What did you talk about then?” “Oh you know what did you call them? Honey lies and sweetened half truth.” Klara laughed at Tracy mangling of her words earlier. “You know I wouldn’t mind staying here for a little while, maybe I can find a team that would accept me.” Tracy seemed to consider that and accepted it though she cautiously asked. “What about the children, won’t you miss them so far away?” “Well there’s always Skype or the embassy has a teleporter, and they don’t want there’s mums hanging about looking over their shoulders.”

Sitara watched the image for a few second, something about it reminded her of something she’d encountered long ago but she couldn’t place it for the life of her. Part of the problem of being around so long was you forgot as much as you remembered. She walked to the pilot station and lent down over Hūhunu’s shoulder and traced a pattern over the digital display. “Let’s do a fly over and get some more information, keep it slow and low look out for any weapons or entrances. Let’s all keep an eye out for anything odd, something about this feels wrong.”

Lucy had seem much worse back in her speakeasy day people tended to do a lot more than just drink illegal liquor, a lot of boundaries were pushed in those places. “No I think they’re doing quite fine where they are, if it’s more than just a kiss then a little privacy might be in order.” she gave a broad smile obviously enjoying the moment, but still aware of any potential trouble on it’s way. “This is all lovely and such but are we safe here? Should we think about maybe getting back to Freedom City, more kissing can safely happen there.”

“You be surprised how much variety you get among common or garden vampires, I’ve not met any that sparkle yet though there is alway time.” she smiled at her own personal joke, some popular culture had filtered down to even her. Whilst she couldn’t see what was happening to Cannonade she had a pretty good idea something was up, so she stood up slowly with her hand where anyone could see them and slowly turned around. If trouble started Lucy at least had her speed which she might be able to use to surprise them.

Not being able to help herself Daphne gave a silent scream before dropping it and giving a small smile. “Nah I’m kidding, surprise!” As she spoke she began to grow in size as she took on her normal form growing up to her full 15 foot height, something that would have been well beyond the budget of a movie like this. “Look attack of the Fifteen Foot Grue, give it your best shot little wolfie!” As well as not taking this whole thing seriously, she was aware that her sudden change couldn’t help but keep the focus on her. Both cinematically and from the pure instinct that the beast.

As far as he knows he’s telling the truth, it would take a lot more to drag out what’s happened down there. It might be easier to get the information the old fashion way. Behind Glamazon Daphne tried to look all serious and stern as if she was the best assistant she could be, it was hard for her sometimes not to break character but she was here to help her friend. Isn’t there another group of aquatic creatures that could have done this? I think it could be interesting to meet them as well, maybe they’d be able to help?

ic Beautiful People Doing Bad Things (IC)
Tiffany Korta replied to Tiffany Korta's topic in The Theatre District
Daphne shifted back down to her Scarlet form and took a seat at her makeup mirror. She settled back into Scarlet pretty easily as if it was a form she took on often. She looked a little guilty for a few moments then said. “That the problem I don’t know for sure what other powers they have, they might be a shapeshifter. All I know for certain is that they’ve stolen some vital information, and it’s one of the other girls here. So we’re going to have to do this the old fashioned way.” she beamed a excited little smile “We get to be detectives!” -
Cathy grabbed her bag and chased after Raina, opting to weave through the crowd rather than force her way through. Her large overstuffed back did make it’s presence felt causing a few miffed folks following her progres. “Sorry... Sorry” she finally caught up to the other girl. “Clouston a classic name for the islands.” She had been a little worried after the little spat earlier, but Raina seemed pretty friend right now. She was just waiting now for the right time to mention her little “condition”.

Reading the creatures moment Blodeuwedd was moving even before she was quite aware what she was doing. As the creature shot forward Dyrnwyn shot out of its scabbard and she struck towards the snake, whist avoiding being hit herself or striking her allies. Standing back she took a defensive pose a determined look on her face as Dyrnwyn eldritch fire casting a blue glow through the darkened room. “It seems our welcome is no more warm than it was before. I don’t need to tell you that snakes are normally a sign of trouble.”

Whilst Cathy found the whole experience a little exciting it was also a very nerve wrecking and it seemed a lot more chilly outside than when they’d left the dorms. She’d naturally stayed to at the back of the group letting those that knew what they doing take charge, though apparently it wasn’t all as planned out. “I could carry someone else on my ice platform it’s all perfectly safe and stable. It does leave a bit of an obvious trail behind it though.” she was happy that she was able to contribute something to this whole caper.

Klara hit her fist hard into the counter out of frustration, leaving a rather large dent in the surface. She’d have to offer to pay for the counter, despite whatever Dimitri had often them for there privacy. Finally feeling a calmer she walked back out to where she’s left Tracy and Talya. “It really was a pleasure to see you again Natalya it is a shame that we don’t have more time to talk.” she gave a deep sigh “I believe he’s still a good man under it all, it’s just forgot that under all the death and destruction he’s seen. Right now he need honeyed half truth and beautiful lies, which is something that I could never offer him. Right now I think he needs you.” the word could easily be considered a insult, but her tone suggested she meant it as more a compliment. She offered a hand to help up her wife and she gave Tayla a strange look before adding. “And if I can offer some advice once this is over get away from us and our past of death and blood. Find someone who’s vibrant and full of life who’s living each day with a joie de vie.”

Well we’ve not always excelled at the team work, but I like to think the we’re pretty good at improvising Agnus tones was bemused rather than serious “Do we have any footage of how they operate in combat, or did they do those kind of missions?” she waggled her fingers at the last part “And I noticed you haven’t yet told us how we're going to get to them, is it going to be something we really won’t like?” She’d seen worst in her time so she wasn’t worried but someone had o ask the questions and today it was her turn.

Maddy eye’s seemed to light up at teen-Riff’s statement right now she was living her life's work, and despite the danger enjoying every moment. “Wow I think we actually have a world just after it’s point of divergence this could give us undreamt of data about the multiverse...” “Maybe you could think about this after we’ve stopped everything going boom?” Malena interrupted her double “I think we should start by stopping the insane inventor first. So inside or outside?” she pointed toward the Needle towering above them.

Behind Robin and Raina Cathy came out of there room giving Hannah a what can you do kind of shrug before carefully closing and locking the door. “Were going to the local Shopping Center, sorry Mall, to pick something suitable to wear, someone...” she gave a mock dirty look at Raina “...thinks what we’re wearing isn’t suitable.” She gave another little shrug before finally joining the other, back into view. “It’s going to be a fun night out.” surprisingly this one sounded pretty honest
-
Cathy considered this, slightly dubious, chain of logic. She didn't want to get into any kind of trouble but it would be interesting and exciting to experience Freedom City's nightlife. And she was ahead of most of her school work. "Okay sure lets do this." After all what was the worst that could happen?

Klara gave a little grunt of frustration unfurling her hands from fists before taking a few steps away, when she turned back around her voice had lost a little of its fire. "When the Great War happened we watch the caranage and I spoke out that we should do something against such horror, but the would do nothing. So when the Nazis showed I decided to do something and left my home to try and help. I was like a child in this complicated world of man, and when I realized the leader I served course be just as bad I panicked and flees to a better place. I did not realize just how fleeting you leaders were and if I had stayed things would get better, that I could maybe have made things better." She hung her head in shame "Perhaps I do not deserve anytht more than you hate." --- Talya's answer seemed to give Tracy some comfot but apparently not completely "I can't help but feel either way I'm being selfish. Do you know that her people share everything? And I mean everything! Quite a shock for a middle-class girl from Doncaster I can tell you." She gave a little life "But Klara's not like that she would stay just with me, even out of a sense of duty."

Klara stood up to her full height, banging the counter as she pushed her up, causing the urn to jump from the impact. She looked down at DImitri with passion burning in her eyes. “You know as well as me that if I had spoken out against Stalin I would have been another images removed from all the pictures never to be spoken of again. Yes the country I fled to wasn’t perfect but it became better, I made it better. Whilst you beloved Russia has gone backwards I’m not welcome because my ways are a disruptive influence, effectively banished from my own home. It is lucky I showed forethought to have four children prepared the one time I was allowed to visit, normally my people only have one child in a hundred years.” her voice was one of restrained anger her force kept under the barest of check “It is good that you show restraint when set to find my find, I will give you that at leasts. For you were lucky if they're human had been attacked my people would have stopped at nothing to kill every last one of you, even those that consider humans little above pets.” her dismissive tone suggested she didn’t agree in this view in the slightest --- Tracy was musing now as much to herself as to Talya “But where does it stop? We have three lovely daughters and the doctors I guess you’d call them said they’d live long life of almost perfect health. And I can see that none of them is under 6ft and could be a model if the wished. But what happens when they get old? Or their children and Grandchildren?” she sipped her drink again “She does everything with such passion and would love each of them without reserve. I don’t think I can do that, could I find it in myself to love my Great-grandchildren, could you do that?”

I'll throw The Traveller into the ring.

“I don’t see anything wrong with what I’m wearing now?” there was a hint of self mockery in her voice. “And there lots of reasons that this is a really bad idea. There’s a nighttime curfew in effect and we can’t leave the school during lesson time, and I’m not sure I want to meet anyone much older than myself. I’m not even sure I’d be able to say anything above a squeak.” she counted off the reasons on her finger but paused briefly before adding “I mean in theory it would be fun and exciting to go see the nightlife of Freedom City...”
-
"I'm stir not sure that this a really good idea, if we get caught we're in so much trouble." Cathy was a bundle of nerves and the temperature reflected it, though not quite as bad.as other times "I'm not sure what's wrong with what I'm wearing, it's practical and functional." She was wearing her normal parka with the hood up, which she often did when she was nervious and a jumper showing two peopele.in.silhouette dancing. Any leg that could be seen beneath her long skirt was hidden underneath her sensible boots. "Let's just do this before I lose my nerve."
