"I was looked after by British Intelligence, how could I not know!” Klara screamed back at him in Russian, more angry at herself than anyone else. “Every year I light a candle for them at church and say a prayer for their souls. I know every detail of their records there friends and family.” her voice now was a quiet whisper and she squeezed the counter leaving hand marks behind “I couldn’t stay and defend everything he was doing. I tried I really did to tell them that none of you were involved, but he wouldn’t listen, they wouldn’t listen." --- Tracy pour both of them a generous shot of Scotch and top another sip. "I don't plan to leave this Earth soon, I look forward to my telegram from the Queen. But as the years pass I look older and she stays the same, did you know she's older than this nation." She waved her hand for emphasis "You know Klara she won't let things go and she's going to look for some Danny potion so we can be together forever. So honestly is it worth it and if I refused how long would she mourn?"

Cathy blushed quite visibly at Raina suggestion of her own beauty, surrounded by woman with almost supermodel looks while nice did nothing for her self confidence. “i don’t think I look that pretty, but thanks anyhow for the compliment.” Cathy did however give the idea some serious thought for a few moments thoughts before answering to Raina’s idea. “I’m not sure I’ve got the bottle to go to a club yet, definitely not alone. I mean it took several days and a mini Ice Age just to tell a single friend. With that many people I might literally explode with fear.”

As I've finally settled on how Klara look's I'd like to humbly request an picture of her in full heroic glory. I've imagine her armour to be similar to Big Barda, who inspired alot about Klara, but I'm happy to give you pretty free rein to go with what you think works well.

PHOTOBOMBED BY HGM Few minor addition to Voin Zhenshchina First I have a suitable image to add to the character Second I have been informed that I have Klara surname wrong and it should be Svoboda and I forgot to add that the English version of her super name is Warrior Woman. So for reference her alternate Identity should read as: Alternate Identity: Klara Svoboda, Clara Matthews, Воин Женщина, Warrior Woman

“I won’t lie it’s a harsh life but it’s a beautiful place to live with a real sense of community, apart for the odd bad seed. I don’t think my parent’s would ever want to live anywhere else. Maybe when they retire, but that a long way off.” The talk of going to a club cause Cathy to give a look of near terror, though not for obvious reason. “I don’t have the control to do anything like that yet, you saw what I do when I get even a little bit nervous. Back home a girl I like, Moira, gave me a little peck on the cheek and I froze a whole classroom. Just think how bad it could get if I got more erm... intimate.”

For a moment Klara tensed when she sensed someone behind her, but relaxed when she’d heard Dimitri's voice. She ignore him for a few second whilst she filled a pot from the restaurants samovar, a little churlish to make him wait but it didn’t take much to figure out this had been set up. “I hope you paid them well Inga is putting herself through college, she was a good waitress I was going to tip her well.” She finally turned around and leant against the units her arms crossed and a defiant look on her face. “Dmitri you really didn’t have to go to all this trouble a simple call would have been fine. But here is as good as ever, shall we start the quiet accusations, most I will not deny, or do you wish to go straight to the shouting?” --- Tracy seemed quite relaxed at the whole situation pulling out a small silver flask and raised it to joint Talya’s toast. “Seeing as that tea might be a while, 20 year old Scotch can I interest you in a dram?” she took a small nip and offer the flask to Talya “They cleared the pea-soupers in the 50’s, which is why I hated going to London back then, it not perfect but a lot better.” Tracy gave a little sigh. “I may not look it but I’m over eighty, Klara’s people gave me something to slow my ageing, but despite them trying to get me to retire I keep plodding on. It’s only me, Klara and Pennington that remember about most of the heroes and villains from back then.” She paused for second apparently making her mind up about something then added. “I know you can be as slippery as an eel when it comes to the truth but if I ask you something important would you answer it truthfully?”

Whilst Agnus was still acting as if she was totally relaxed she was taking in all the information she could. She was pretty impressed how neither seemed upset at how relaxed they were all acting, though they must be pretty use to dealing with powers by now. “If they're that good it seems strange that they've slipped up now. You sure that this is all in in the level?” And any more data should make it easier for VERA to check that this was all on the level, she was still pretty cautious about the whole deal.

Sitara had spent the journey with the ship engines making sure that the Lor made replacement parts integrated well with the Delaztri originals, they now were starting to have the capacity to make there own but the poor ships were kept pretty active what with everything that had happened during the last few months. So intent in her activities, apart from occasional breaks for food or sleep, she wasn’t aware that they’d arrived until the drive powered down having done it’s job. Giving the unit a little pat or a job well done she went to find the others and find out what the plan was going to be.

Lucy couldn’t be more than happy for Kimber she couldn’t think of a better person to gain all that she had today, and struggle they’d all shared today. But this was moment of triumph was for her close friend so she kept to a slight distance whilst they had their moment. “I hope we don’t have to go through anything like this if I feel like a haircut.” she said to no one in particular “Though a change of clothes that can regenerate would be quite handy...” She wasn’t completely serious but considering how many clothes she’d gone through something more resistant would be pretty nice.

"I don't think I'll suddenly appear on there door with a girlfriend, not unless I meet a nice teleporter. Skaw, my home village, is the further north you can go and still be considered Scottish. It's incredibly remote and that fosters a certain... inertia." She considered her word carefully before adding. "My parents I have no worries about whatsoever, they love me no matter what. But there might be someone in the village who could and would hold it against them. And in such a tiny settlement that could be a really big deal. It's sounds really stupid, and it is, but I don't want my parents to go through all that."

If Klara was suspicious she gave no indication, in fact her broad smile suggested she was rather glad to see Talya again. The apparently more aware Tracy was eyeing her suspiciously, though for now she said nothing. "Of cause I shall go get the ever helpfulI Inga whilst you two catch up on all the gossip and have a chit chat." Without waiting for a reply she made her way back towards the inside of the restaurant.

The truth finally out Cathy relaxed a little letting out a breath that she wasn’t aware she was holding. “Aye it’s an all you eat buffet here, I'm spoilt for choice really. And don’t worry I’m not sure if I have a type, but I’m sure that it’s not Madison.” she gave a little laugh. “I really don’t know how my parents will react, I mean they’ve already had to cope with a lot what we me gaining my powers. And they’ve been pretty cool with it all but as accepting as they are traditions run deep. It’s easier to accept when it’s those strange people from the Mainland rather than under your roof.”
-
Cathy took a deep breath and began to try and explain what was going through her mind, a bit of a jumble of thoughts that seemed to spill out. “Well I’ve had these feelings for some time and I couldn’t talk about them back home it’s not like they wouldn’t understand, it’s not like we live in the dark ages, but it’s a small village and gossip spreads like wildfire. And my parents we’re already dealing with so much with my powers, though they’d be proud either way.” She had to slow herself down a little or her accent was almost impossible to understand. “I like girls.”

“Aye I heard about you. Even when I joined you were a legend among the agents and you don’t do nothing purely by chance.” Tracy eyed Bombshell suspiciously Klara wasn’t quite so reluctant giving Tayla a warm friendly hug “Don’t be such a grump Tracy she is an old friend. You must join us for a while and try the lovely Russian tea’s some of the best you’ll find.” she gently guided the both of them towards the table “This is Tracy Matthew’s my lovely wife.” Tracy gave a little nod obviously somewhat reluctantly accepting this intrusion “Sit, sit we have much to catch up one.”

Cathy watch the little fireball with some fascination the pure wonder of other powers hadn’t quite worn off for her yet. She couldn’t tell how effective it was however as it’s warming effects wasn’t felt by her. She sat on the edge of her bed hands clasped together trying her hardest to keep her powers in check. “I’d like to ask for you advice and help on something. You always seem to have everything so together and know exactly what you want and how to get it.” She took another few seconds to keep herself calm, even talking to Raina normally sometimes made her nervous and this was even more important than normal.
-
Even though it had been quite some time Klara’s senses were still as sharp as ever and she looked around aware that something was happening. “Did you see that? I should go take a look.” She began to get out of her chair only to be stopped by a gentle hand squeeze “Don’t you dare we’re here on holiday remember? This is Freedom City there’s more than enough heroes to deal with any problem. Now why don’t you tell me why we’re here?” “Well there was that museum event that I was invited to and I thought we could do with a holiday...” “You’re a terrible liar, you want to butter me up to ask something.” Klara looked a little guilty before recovering and applying the charm with a broad smile “I’ve been talking to Pennington. She’s back in charge of the Ministry you know? They want me to join a team, maybe Vanguard. There was even talk of getting me on the League, the Russians have been boasting again about having one of their own and the Government are pushing to get someone in the group.”

"Sorry, sorry! Give me a second I'll see what I can do, I won't be able to get rid of it completely." She closed her eyes and tried to calm herself, she'd already worked out a few of her own plus what she'd be taught at the school. "Unfortunately it can happen if I get to excited as well, normally I keep that under some kind control. Easier than when I get nervous. Is that any better now?" She looked rather hopeful that she had been successful.
-
Cathy was more than a little relieved that Raina had changed the subject, though she was a little reluctant to talk about herself normally. “Sorry I can't help it it just happens when I get nervous or sad or most emotions really. And I don’t notice the cold anymore, not since I changed. I don’t feel the warmth either.” there was a note of sadness in her voice. “That why I bundle up with so many layers so I can feel any warm at all, but all I can get is a sort of meh feeling.” and true to her word the temperature began to drop a little.
-
“Oh wow that pretty bad, but hopefully things will get sorted out soon. Do you think I should start looking for a new roommate now?” Cathy managed a weak smile at her rather lame attempt to improve the mood “Beside I wouldn’t worry about Madison to much she justs says mean things to try and upset people, most don’t even listen to her. Every school has one just like her jealous of the prettier looking more talented members of the school.” Actually her school had never had anyone like that, beside her powers got a lot of the attention from the other kids being the only power in the area. Mostly she was pulling from the High School drama’s she’d seen on TV, and they must have some basis on truth.
-
Now it was like a scab, she knew she shouldn't keep picking at it, but she wanted to see the truth behind it all. And she wasn’t sure if Raina believed it all or was trying to convince herself as much as anyone. “What do they have to say about it all? I assume that you’ve been allowed to visit.” She was now watching Raina intently her homework, mostly done, was long forgotten. “At the very least they must allow you Skype or e-mail and text or even just write to them.” She didn’t know how she’d cope sometimes without her weekly chats with her mum and dad, they kept her sane and grounded at this crazy school.
-
Cathy wasn’t built for subtle, she tended to get nervous around more confident people, but she knew for certain that a certain amount of careful handling. She was sure that if her parents had done something wrong then she’d defend them to the hilt, even of she suspected that it was true. And she definitely didn’t want to upset one of the few friends she had in this school. "That’s good right? If they were doing nothing wrong then it should be a pretty open and shut case. The evidence must all be pretty circumstantial right?”

Pushkin’s Restaurant, West End, Freedom City Friday 3rd October 2015 5:30 pm The last dregs of Summer had began to peter out and the sky was overcast over Freedom City, whilst most of the Restaurants had chair set up outside few bothered to sit outside. A few stubborn souls were however “enjoying” the weather, being use to much worse this time of year. “I do not know why I miss this food at all, it’s nothing like the sweet food or Ayrag of home.” Klara spoke between mouthfuls of Shchi “Maybe because you love all food even my feeble attempt at cooking and I’m no Mary Berry.” Tracy still had a strong Lancaster accent even after all these years At first glance it looked like a, admittedly tall, daughter was taking her mother out for a meal. Tracy looked about twice Klara’s age, and was in fact even older than that. But if you watched closer you could see that there was something else there, from the little looks they gave each other to way they would softly touch each other hands. “You are beautiful tonight my darling and you grow even more so with every passing year.” “You a lying old bugger you know that Klara, but I’ll take the compliment as it was intended. Now the kid are left we need to have that talk you know, unlike you I’m not going to live forever.” “You know there are ways around that, people and places that grant eternal beauty and life.” “Seems to me that immortality more of a burden than a blessing, look at that bitter old man you use to work with in the People’s Heroes. I ain’t planning to end up like that, rather go now.” It was an old conversation that Klara wasn’t keen on having right now, she just wanted a nice quiet night out with her wife, so she subtly changed the subject. “I can’t tell if it’s from living among the Russians or the English's but when someone mention him I can’t help but assume the worst is about to happen...”

As much as Cathy did like to cocoon herself in the various blankets and duvets to try and get as warm as possible, though it never quite seemed to help as much as it should, she also wanted to help Raina where she could. And the fact that she was cold was all her fault after all, she gently bundled up the blanket and tossed it over to Raina. “Here we go that one’s pretty good, keep me warm at night.” A thought struck her and she searched through her clothes until she found what she was looking for, a knitted hat complete with bobble. “Here you go little Merlin, this will keep you warm as well.”
-
“We finished the assignment so we thought we’d all come and help out.” Cathy jumped off the seat she’d been standing on to open the window and brandished the filled sheet like some sort of shield. “We’ve been gently breaking the news of what happened to her.” she hoped her little lie, well more a massaging of the truth, sounded convincing “All things considered she seems to be adjusting okay, as much as you can after such news.” She wasn’t sure how to tell Fred about what happened when she woke up, someone a little more direct that herself that was true.

“Aye sorry about that. Hopefully I’ll be able to get a little better control of things soon.” She swallowed and tried to calm herself down a little, she wanted Raina advice on something but first there was something that had been playing on her mind. And as her mum said if you wanted to know something you should always go straight for the source. “You know Madison been mouthing off again about what happened to you parents? She’s a complete scunner, but I’d like to hear the truth of it. If you don’t mind sharing.”
