Cathy was already helpfully opening one of the windows and allowing a cooling breeze into the bus, thanks to her abilities more chilled that it should. “If we’re going a bit too fast tell us to stop for a bit, it’s a lot to take in so quickly, and I’m sure no one wants you to get to overwhelmed.” she tried to sound reassuring rather than concerned, which was more or less the truth “Whilst some things have changed many things have stayed the same, especially back home in Britain. Parts of London are virtually unchanged for you own time.” or so it seemed from seeing it on television, she’d never been much further south than Inverness.

“Well I’m from a wee bit further than everyone else, as I’m sure you can tell by my accent. I’m from a small Scottish island that, almost, no one has heard off.” her accent did seem to agree with her statement. As they seemed to be moving to the dorms she’d tried to shoulder her extra large bag to her shoulder, she wasn’t as strong as she was sure some of them were here. “I think we scared off our official guides with a slight disagreement. But luckily I've got pretty good idea of where we've got to go.” she didn’t suggest any blame about the reason they’d lost the seniors.

pl 10 Zhenshchina-voin (PL 10) - Tiffany Korta
Tiffany Korta replied to Tiffany Korta's topic in Heroes
Well the City had hidden itself away for thousand of years and Klara would had been careful not to give away to much about it location, I assume the Soviet's looked for the city but couldn't find it due to it's magical protections. That's why she stayed away fom her people till sometime after the Soviet Union fell, just in case.- 6 replies

18th November 2012 I must apologize to you the hypothetical viewer of this diary for not introducing myself from the start, something I shall now endeavor to correct. My designation is D-162-806 Series MM, it doesn’t exactly roll of the tongue I know Mother Unit normally called me D. I suppose I’ll need to pick a human name soon, when I start to walk among them. After all is part of my mission to Earth to acclimate and assimilate into human culture, which is weird because in the Freedom Friends the Grue we’re all about deception and conquering the Earth. Also with me is Mother Unit a highly advanced Artificial Intelligence that runs my little ship and has look after me since I came from the birthing pod. She’s more or less the entire ship but she lives in a little cube with these cool squiggles all over her. She also more importantly stores all my television programs and movies for me to watch. Finally there’s the ship itself a Birthing Unit, though I call her Baby, she technically part of Mother Unit but her subsystems have been running for so long she’s a separate entity in her own right. I’m often go to sleep listening to her telepathic singing, it’s a really beautiful thing.

Zhenshchina-voin Power Level: 14 (built as PL 10; 187/250PP) Trade-Offs: None Unspent Power Points: 63 In Brief: Amazon woman who’s come out of retirement after raising a family. Residence: Doncaster, Yorkshire, United Kingdom Catchphrase: "Теперь вы сталкиваетесь воин женщина" Alternate Identity: Klara Svoboda, Clara Matthews, Женщина-Воин , Warrior Woman Identity: Public Birthplace: Shamany Vstrecha, Altai Republic, Russia Occupation: Housewife Affiliations: Ministry of Powers Family: Zora (First Mother), Alloura (Second Mother), Tracy Theodora Matthews (Wife), Claire, Lucy and Alexis Mathews (Daughters) Description: Age: 244 (DoB: 1771) Apparent Age: Early Thirties Gender: Female Ethnicity: Mixed Height: 7'0” Weight: 197 lbs Eyes: Brown Hair: Black Klara is a striking figure standing at seven feet tall with an athletic build her skin lightly tanned and her black hair worn long a loose. Her facial feature is a mix, her Scythian and Mongolian ancestry giving her a rather striking noble bearing. Her costume is the ceremonial armour of her people gold scale mail with silver plates in places covering from neck to feet, with only her lower arms left bare. On her arms she wears a pair of elaborate bracers inserted with large red gems glowing with an inner power. Power Descriptions: Apart from her physique, making her more capable than the most normal humans. She also wears the armour of her warrior clan and a pair of magical bracelets filled with magical power. History: Long ago several of the shamans of the nomadic tribes would gather at a secret spot in the shadow of the Altai mountains. They would discuss peace among the tribes and protecting the steppes from threats both physical and supernatural. Over time the shamans began to bring families, then tribes and finally they settled building a city hidden from the rest of the world. Led by wise rulers the city prospered and as they grew wise there people benefited growing tall in stature and long in lifespan. Whilst they watched the world go by they generally kept to themselves only rarely venturing out and withdrawing into legend, whilst many wished nothing to do with the outside world and few wished to venture out and aid humanity. Klara was one of these. Born through magic into the warrior caste she trained to fight in a city of peace, she wanted to go into the world and help others with the skills she had trained for almost a century. When the world descended into war and vast magical power were unleashed by the Axis she could no longer stand by and left her home, possibly forever to help the allies fight their war. Presenting herself to a rather shock local Soviet commander, she was rapidly shipped to Moscow, where after some testing of both her powers and her loyalty she was assigned to the People's Heroes where she fought with distinction on many fronts, she was moved around often and kept away from the troops as coming from a society of relative freedom she often spoke out about the Soviet system. Despite the best efforts of the party when the Axis was defeated and the fragile peace descended she defected from the People's Heroes and the Soviet Union into the hand of the British. Once British Intelligence determined she wasn't a double agent they were at a loss as to what to do with her, as her presence in Europe would threaten the fragile peace, so they assigned her to help restructure MI-13 into the Ministry of Powers. Her assigned guide during this time was one Tracy “Teddy” Matthews a former SoE agent, now assigned to the Ministry. They spent many months together and over that time a tentative friendship developed into something more. After a few years, Tracy and Klara moved in together and Klara retired from superheroing to keep the household. When the Cold War began to thaw the two of them traveled back to Klara’s home and about a year later returned with three newly born daughters. Apart from the occasional crisis, Klara has spent the last couple of decades raising their daughters and looking after her partner, and finally once the law had caught up her wife, quite happy to be a housewife. The children now fully grown and gone on to successful careers (Claire is a Doctor, Lucy a Lawyer with an interest in Politics and Alexis is an actor) Klara has been itching to get back into the superhero business, Personality & Motivation: Klara has a very strong will and is not an easy person to persuade from any course of action she set her mind upon. At the time she can be stern and unforgiving, but she is also an incredibly warm and generous person. She will drop everything to help her friends without question and will do everything in her power to help and will double her efforts if it's her family involved. As a warrior, she follows her own personal code of conduct and will endeavor to treat her opponent with some kind of dignity, once they'd been defeated. Powers & Tactics: Raised in ancient warrior culture Klara is not one for complicated plan or tactics. She is all being the first in and the last out, overwhelming the opposition with brute force. She’s not stupid however and if the foe is obviously more powerful then she will instead resort to hit and run tactics. Complications: Свобода народов Герой: Though few and far between there are a few that remember her time as one of the Soviets People’s Heroes. Many are not overly friendly due to her defection to the West after the war. нетрадиционный: Klara lives by her own way caring not for how to see her life, in fact, she’s quite open about her lifestyle choices. There are many out there who wouldn’t Старая женщина: Tracy is a woman in her 80 and despite benefiting from Klara’s people's science and magical knowledge is starting to feel the passing of the years. Despite this Klara still loves her deeply and would do almost anything to keep her safe and healthy Abilities: 20 + 6 + 10 + 6 + 6 + 6 = 54PP Strength: 30 (+10) Dexterity: 16 (+3) Constitution: 20 (+5) Intelligence: 16 (+3) Wisdom: 16 (+3) Charisma: 16 (+3) Combat: 16 + 12 = 28PP Initiative: +11 Attack: +8 Base, +10 Melee Grapple: +20/+30 (Super-Strength) Defense: +10 (+6 Base, +4 Dodge Focus), +3 Flat-Footed Knockback: -7 Saving Throws: 5 + 6 + 6 = 17PP Toughness: +10 (+5 Con, +5 Protection [5 Impervious]) Fortitude: +10 (+5 Con, +5) Reflex: +9 (+3 Dex, +6) Will: +9 (+3 Wis, +6) Skills: 100R = 26PP Bluff 12 (+15) Diplomacy 12 (+15) Drive 2 (+5) Gather Information 12 (+15) Intimidate 12 (+15) Language (English, Russian, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin, Mongolian, Arabic, [Native Altai]) +2 Notice 12 (+15) Sense Motive 12 (+15) Search 12 (+15) Survival 8 (+11) Feats: 23PP Accurate Attack All-Out Attack Attack Focus (Melee) 2 Dodge Focus 4 Evasion 2 Fearless Improved Initiative 2 Improved Trip Luck 1 Master Plan Move-by Action Power Attack Startle Takedown Attack 2 Uncanny Dodge (Auditory) Well-Informed Powers: 8 + 28 + 3 = 39PP Scale Armour 2 (10 point Device, Hard to Lose) [8PP] (magical) Protection 5 (Extra: Impervious) [10PP] Gemmed Bracelet 7 (35 point Device, Easy to Lose) [28PP] (magical) Blast 10 (100ft range) [21PP] AP : Super Strength 10 ( Effective STR 80 [Heavy Load=819.2 lbs] ) {20/20} Flight 5 (250mph, 2,200 ft/rnd) [10PP] Teleport 4 (Flaw: Long range) [4PP] Immunity 3 (Aging, Disease, Poison) [3PP] DC Block ATTACK ATT RANGE SAVE EFFECT Unarmed +10 Melee DC 25 Toughness (Staged) Physical Blast +8 Ranged DC 25 Toughness (Staged) Magic Totals: Abilities (54) + Combat (28) + Saving Throws (17) + Skills (26) + Feats (23) + Powers (39) - Drawbacks (0) = 187/250 Power Points

Cathy sat quietly trying to absorb everything people were saying about alternative dimensions. All she knew about them was from this science show she caught sometimes, and she was sure they only one season they repeated constantly. She was pretty use to the bickering by now so largely payed it no heed, though one detail from Huang caught her after. "Is the Lost World and really place then? I thought it was just somett from those books."

Supplemental (I've always wanted to say that) I’m finally here on Earth! I can feel really gravity and everything, which is much like Babies grav-plates but cool nevertheless. So it seems that a previous Grue had set up this warehouse for there plan’s as well as a bank account quite full of money. Mother Unit tells me that it was all gotten legally, I guess they didn’t want to attract attention, and they even have those stocks things. Mother Unit assures me that as long as I don’t spurge, say on Centurion #1, I should be okay for quite a long time, it seems she can handle the shock thingy to keep the money rolling in.

17th November 2012, Earth Orbit So after sixteen years in deep space I’ve finally made it to Earth! Baby slipped into orbit invisibly going unnoticed at Goonhilly, they passed over Cape Canaveral without a blip, Woomera and Jodrell Bank looked straight through us. It was v. exciting, fresh TV signals bouncing all around us, but I had to make a very important decision were to go? Cardiff in the UK looked pretty good, or maybe London, they seemed pretty friendly to aliens and use to their presence. Or maybe Japan, but I’m not sure about all the Kaiju running around. And of cause there’s Freedom City who are accepting of almost everyone, though they seem a little jittery about shapeshifters atm so a little caution may be needed. And Uncle Pseudo lives there so they can’t be that unfriendly to us Grue. So a little time to think things through is in order. Besides Earth looks so pretty from up here.

“Surprising the woman who can turn into a rage beast isn’t the wisest idea.” Cathy told Raina in an angry whisper. To the new girl however she was all smile, though the pale skinned girl kept a little distance so not to make her feel too crowded. “Hello there do you need anything? Maybe some air or a bottle of water?” she added in a hopefully reassuring voice she added “It’s a lot to take in right now I know, but you among friends and people who can help you.” Despite her best efforts to keep everything under control the temperature in the bus had dropped noticeably.

Cathy had pitched in as the conversation drifted to more esoteric matters, when you lived in and isolated location you tended to relly a little bit of both at times. The argument didn’t bother her that much anyway, she’d heard much more passionate arguments down the pub. They did normally tended to end a little more amicably, though alcohol was involved so it was sometime a friendly punch up. “Um well I guess that it for the official welcome then! Should we go find our dorm rooms now? I’m interested to see who my roommate is.”

Lucy wasn’t worried by the giants attack in fact she looked up at the giant skeleton and smiled. “You really going to have to do better than than!” Her confidence was helped by the fact that her wound had almost already heal, including the clothing she was wearing. There must be some intelligence behind the giants Lucy figured, a little too late it seemed, as they herded herself and Temperance so the surrounded them. “I hope Kimber finishes what she’s doing soon, I don’t want to hurt to many of these guys.” She crashed through one of the giants but she wasn’t able to work up enough momentum to take down a second, she’d have to hope that it was enough for now.

ic Beautiful People Doing Bad Things (IC)
Tiffany Korta replied to Tiffany Korta's topic in The Theatre District
After a few more minutes the redhead pulled back and looked at CAsey slightly confused, before something dawned on her. “Oh right the face! Sorry is this one better?” Her featured shifted until her features were the familiar features of the red faced Grue, except this one had a full head of now black hair. Casey knew this Grue they had meet before in very different circumstances, it was the suitably named Miss Grue. “I’m sorry about the deception but I had to work fast and need a little help. Did I get it all right? I though the chin was a little off as I was working from memory.” -
GM Post After a few moments the ship, expertly flown as normal, reached the location the sensor suggested the object was located. For a few moments none of the Praetorians could see the object, despite the sensors helpfully pinpointing the object. It was a dark almost black color, barely visible against space, made of some form of almost organic looking material like a massive shelled animal transferred into space.Bio-organic space creatures were rare but not unknown in the wider universe, but somehow this one felt, wrong, as if it really shouldn’t be here.

ic Graduation Proclamation: Sound and Fury
Tiffany Korta replied to Tiffany Korta's topic in Freedom City Stories
For all his impressive build Delfeil seemed to have a glass jaw, or maybe it was his tiny feet, for with only a single blow the alien bounty hunter crumpled. Not that Glamazon blow wasn’t powerful as it was, the creature flew a few feet back into the poor wounded tree from before. Endeavour was having a similar easy time with the airlock rumbling open with a suitably mechanical sound. The first things to come out of the craft was a dozen or so small spherical devices that zipped around the area before finding suitable locations to hover. They didn’t seem aggressive and had the feel of some kind of recording device. The with a some trepidation he alien appeared who looked to all the world like giant insects. They chittered with their mandibles which after a few seconds some kind of translator broadcast into English. “Thank you so much for you help. We ask for your protection.” -

Cathy always liked to be early to any event, it never even occurred to her to be late to almost anything. And this afternoon was even more special with an honest to god hero, even if she didn’t know much about the subject apart from stories she’d heard back home. Even after being in Freedom City for a couple of week the idea of being near a hero with still and exciting prospect. She was dressed as normally in her parka and chunky jumper, which today showed a wizard in his stars and moon robes pulling a rabbit from his pointy hat. Just over five minutes from the start she entered into the classroom. She flipped on the lights expecting to be the first one here, only to be surprised by the Fred already being here. “Oh I’m sorry Winnifred I thought I was the first one here. I didn’t startle to too much did I?” Fred was normally a nice polite young woman, but there was a monster hiding inside her and Cathy wasn’t quite sure exactly what would bring the beast out. And it wasn’t exactly something you could bring up in polite conversation. Then again she couldn’t be considered perfect, she knew people probably wouldn’t want to sit near her as she lowered the temperature around her.

Cathy stood back a little to give the new girl a little space, just in case. She wanted a little space in case the woman decided to transform again, and she really needed a little space for the powers. "This might not be the best time to mention such things. She could probably use a little time to process this." Being so far from home she could understand, at least to some degree, what the new girl could be feeling.

Cathy would work for either Claremont thread, with her being out of her element for very different reasons. Blodeuwedd background is that she's part of an Order that collects and keeps safe very dangerous Artifacts It could be amusing that she's at the museum trying to steal something at the same time as Bombshell's visit!
-
Cathy didn't answer them for a few minutes, busy as she was scribbling away in her notebook. "I don't think that we should disobey the Headmaster and not finish our assignment. Luckily for you I've already finished it." She proudly brandished the finished sheet. "I read the museum's guide book on the way in, I was really interested in what the museum's has on display." She gave a little shrug "Shall we go see how our new arrival is getting on?"

Cathy furrowed her brow and thought about what Riley had just said. She didn't know Freedom City very well, though she’d been studying her Rough Guide to Freedom City on the journey here, but what he’d said didn’t make much sense to her. It was enough of a puzzle for her to forget the insult to her Scottish ancestry. “I’m still new here but I wouldn’t think North Bay was the best of places to go hunting, especially with a piece of work like that,” she pointed to the impressive crossbow, “I’ve handled crossbow before but not quite like that.”
-
Cathy made some steps from her platform in the air back down to ground level as she descended them she returned her form back to normal, brushing the frost off of her clothes and tying back her ice-dreadlocked hair. At the bottom she pulled on her parka from where it rested and took time to drape her jumper over the unconscious form. “We didn’t try to start trouble and when it did we contained things as much as we could...” she didn’t bring attention to the light sprinkling of snow all over the room from her flight around the room “And we worked as a team to bring thing to a close as quickly as we could. I think we did pretty well all considered.” Having only met the Headmaster when she recruited Cathy to the school she wasn’t as nervous explaining themselves than people would have expected.
