  1. GM Post The theater where the event was taking place was a rather small place, and needing of a little care and attention, it was obviously still in the early days. But the turnout seemed pretty good and there was some press interest. Casey made her way to the stage door as instructed and was meet by a rather stressed looking PA, as seemed to be the tradition of such things. “That's strange I thought you’d already arrived?” she looked confused at her clipboard “Oh well if you’d follow me.” without waiting she made off at a high turn of speed down the maze of corridors. Finally she led her into a small changing room where there was another girl, a round faced red haired girl, who once the woman left did something surprising. She gave Casey a big friendly hug. “Hey it’s good to see you again.”
  2. Delfeil's Toughness Save: 1d20+8 25, his Initiative: 1d20+6 26. A bruise So Round 1 25 Delfeil Bruised NPC > 16 Glamazon Unharmed 1 HP Delfeil shall draw his oversized gun and fire at Glam. Attack Roll: 1d20+8 12, suitably all bluster and no results . Endeavour just needs to open the airlock, no roll needed, and she'll be able to finally meet the aliens.
  3. The bounty hunter took the hit with only the slightest of a sway, somehow managing to stay on his tiny little feet. He smiled and appeared to be unharmed, though Glamazon could see a faint trickle of his purple blood from the side of his mouth. Then in one fluid motion he drew from his back the almost impossibly sized rifle and firing a burst of energy. It looked impressive but the bolt flew wide causing some damage to an unfortunately nearby tree. Near the craft thing were going well and the forcefield went down with a little whine as it powered down. Now all that was left was the ship's airlock and that should be able to open with just a flick of Endeavours wands.
  4. With a final swoop around the room Cathy took a position just behind the other two girls she hadn’t fought with others, being the only power she was aware off on the entire islands, but she knew it was a sound idea. “I really hope this works, here goes nothing.” Gathering the moisture from the air she sent a stream of ice from her two hands towards the same spot as the other two attacks pouring as much effort as she could, if wouldn’t last long but if it didn’t work then it wouldn’t make much difference.
  5. GM Post Merge had obviously had some experience in this kind of work as all the Merges began to look around for trouble and the Merge closest to Lynn whispered into her ear. “Something is wrong, this is too easy, be on you guard in case trouble starts.” The Merge closest to the mirror pulled down the clover to reveal the beautiful gilt frame with Art Deco styling. It’s surface shimmered and showed thing that weren’t in the warehouse, it was somehow active even though it should have been without the correct commands. There wasn’t much time to consider this as behind on of the Merge’s came a figure familiar to the Lynn, he was a little gaunt but it was that of the Duke. He touched the shoulder of the nearby Merge and a strange look came over her face. “My dear how generous of you to come here to visit me, you don’t understand how vital you arrival is to my survival.” He whispered it into the Merge’s ear but the Merge nearest to Lynn repeated the words.
  6. As discussed in chat we're going to combine our attack on Alkahest, so Cathy will hold her action until everyone is ready. And her Attack Roll: 1d20+10 27.
  7. Cathy watched the newcomer with some interest, he had the air of someone who'd spent some time surviving in the wild. Living out the fringes of civilization, even if the did have hot water and electricity, you tended to learn who could survive and who was faking it. She peered round Huang her violet eyes showing for under her hood, her confidence boosted a little by someone to hide behind. "Whoa be care with that crossbow, you could end up doing someone an injury." was all she could think to say in her thick Scottish burr. Not the best of introduction to be sure, she hoped it was the end to her social faux pas.
  8. Standard Action: Power Attack Attack Roll: 1d20+5 23, so Toughness Save is DC 20 plus bonus from autofire.
  9. As Frostbyte flew around the room she considered her options against the beast she was pretty sure that it would be able to absorb more damage that she would normally dish out. She’d need to do more than normal if she wanted to take the beast out before it could hurt anyone, or herself. After all there was still a young woman in there and hopefully someone could return her from this bestial form. As she made another pass a trail of snow and ice formed behind her as she drew even more moisture from the air than normal before she threw a stream of large icicles toward the monster.
  10. Almost as soon as the girl, monster, had hit Robin Frostbyte had taken to air forming a trail of ice than she balanced upon. As she move around the room, hopefully drawing the creatures attention, her skin took on the appearance of ice as it toughened beyond normal human skin. As she made a second pass she flew near to the beast firing a burst of ice that coalesced around the beast's feet, the plan being to hold it place for as long as possible. “If you have something clever planned do it quickly, I don’t think my ice is going to hold it for long.”
  11. Frostbyte will attempt to Snare Alkahest, Move Action: Platform Flight Standard Action: Snare Attack: 1d20+10 27, Reflex Save DC 20
  12. Initiative: 1d20+8 27
  13. Back home Cathy had need seem the need to protect her identity, everyone roundabout for miles around knew what she could do anyway. But since coming to Freedom City she understood that it was important to keep a low profile and not use her powers in public, apart from her unfortunate condition. When the jade exploded apart however her instincts kicked in and as she raised a hand she formed a wall of ice in front of her to protect her from the debris. Apparently it was all for nothing as the statue revealed the girl within. Looking a little guilty around her ice wall she offered her Queen Vic jumper, revealing the thick shirt she wore under the jumper, and even a little of her pale skin "She can wear this if it helps. We erm... might have drawn a little attention to ourselves."
  14. Whilst the whole thing looked terrible there was some beauty in the statute and Cathy spent a few minutes looking at the statue. “I’m not sure about why but the thing it gives me the willies. I mean it’s really, really good, almost life like but that just makes it even more creepy.” It wasn’t the statue that she was worried about right now, after everything they’d managed to achieve today she didn’t want it to all end with all of them getting into trouble. She knelt down beside Raina her discomfort obvious even if her face didn’t show it. “I don’t think we should be doing this, we should leave before we get into trouble.”
  15. Cathy opened up her notebook filled with her tiny incredibly neat writing looking at it intently for a second or two. "I think I've already got ten, we're renowned as Engineers after all." She gave them a smile at her own joke "If we go this way..." She traced a route on the map "...we should be able to keep out of those Mean Girl's way. After all we don't want any more trouble today." She naturally fell into the back of the group as the girls began to move again, she just felt more comfortable that way.
  16. Cathy was quiet whilst the other girls left some of their parting words cutting to the quick. She knew her powers were always active but despite her best efforts she couldn’t control that, it was one of the reasons she’d come to Claremont. She took a few moments to calm herself so she didn’t make things worse and the temperature warmed a little. “I agree we should try to get this assignment done, I wouldn’t put it past them to tattle tale on us the moment we bail on this place.” She wasn’t one to dwell on things too much and already her mood was beginning to lift.
  17. Having gone a small rural school Cathy hading come across anything like the rivalry on display here. Most of the students had look upon her with awe, if not flavoured with a tinge of fear. But she'd seen enough US TV and movies to know what to expect. It hadn't been enough. She hadn't expected to be one of the popular kids, she looked a little to weird for that, but to be the target of there scorn was unexpected. She wasn't afraid to stand up for herself, or her friends, but the witty responses seen to flee her mind until well after the event. Still she didn't want anyone in trouble so she stepped forward. "I think we should all calm down and chill a little!" she winced a little at the unfortunate pun. Whilst Cathy didn't feel the cold she knew that when nervous she tended to lower the temperature around her, and the judgment gaze of Faiza suggest that right now she was doing exactly that.
  18. GM Post The sensor did there job gathering all the information they could even picking up the faint transmissions of the Inner System. Among all that chatter, both the raw data and the fancier graphical images, there was a trace of something but even with their technological advantage it was still a fleeting thing. There was definitely a life sign of sort in the space between planetoid but it wasn’t easy to tell what it was exactly, though even after all these centuries life had the ability to surprise and confound expectations.
  19. GM Post It didn’t take Casey long to find out about the group, though it wasn't much more than a fluff piece on the Ledger’s website and a rather basic official website. It seems that the group was trying to reinvent the Beauty Pageant to be more empowering to the contestants, replacing some of the more questionable events. The event was still quite small with apparently little funding, but everyone involved seemed keen to make the whole thing work. Only six contestant were taking part, including herself it seemed, with only four events over the weekend.
  20. Cathy had grown up steeped in the history of her little corner of the world and how various invasions had shaped the Shetland Islands. But she had never had a chance to visit a full museum pack with so many things, and even if it was uncool to say so she was quite excited to be here. She’d even taken her parka off inside, though she still carried it tucked under her arm, though she still wore her jumper, this one with a knitted visage of Queen Victoria. “Oh they have a display of Norse objects, my ancestor were Norse. We should go have a look at them, do we have any questions about them?” She was so excited her powers seemed to be almost in check, providing only a pleasant slight cooling around her.
  21. The temperature was still cool but not as bad as it had been moments earlier whilst Cathy was surrounded by strangers she was doing her best not to notice just how many of them. She pulled up her hood as much as she couldn’t see the other as they couldn’t see them. That way she wouldn't freeze them all out of pure nerves. “Where are my manners I’m Cathy Clouston I’m from Orkney’s that’s a bunch of islands off of the coast of Scotland.” As she spoke she drew out a passable map showing where the islands were forming it in the air forming it in the air out of ice crystals.
  22. Sure give me a roll and we'll see what he finds out.
  23. Cathy spent the time trying to relax herself a little she generally wasn’t aware of how cold thing got around her unless it got too extreme, one time she got nervous around someone she’d fancied frost had filled the entire room. Feeling a little less self conscious the temperature raised a little, not that most people could. She still looked at her feet when she spoke, though a voice was a little more confident. “Do we get to choose our own roommates? And do we have to have one?” It wasn’t that she didn’t want a roommate, it was just that she knew people tended to get nervous around her. Though that might not be that much of a problem at a school like this.
