  1. Starshine Rosalind had to concentrate very hard not to power on her aura, despite the worried chirping of bracelet, she didn’t want to damage even the seat of the plane accidentality. “This is fine, it’s all going to fine!” she muttered to herself as a kind of mantra, this was going to be fine she was sure “That’s really not helping you know?” she replied to Kensei, though it did kind of help some to have something else to worry about rather how weird it was to be flying in this metal tube rather than under her own power. “Besides I doubt many know about all this, it’s all hush hush spy stuff after all!”
  2. Triakosia You’d think with super-speed it would be simple to do everything well in advance but as usual Dancia Devons was rushing around, at normal speed, trying to pick up last-minute Christmas gifts. “How will Santa get these presents in time?” as the bundled up form of her eleven-year-old, Katie (sort of it was kind of complicated). “With teleporters just like most sensible people!” Dancia replied with a grin “I’ve heard Raven make him all sorts of cool gadgets!” she added making Katie giggle. Any further discussion of Santa dynamics was halted by the sudden arrival of first one goblin, then another and another. Dancia looked around to tell Katie to stay when she saw her daughter had put on a little domino mask. “We don’t have time to discuss this but you’re still too young to get properly involved in heroics young lady. Stay here and keep people as safe as you can.” A few goblins deciding that there were too many people, and goblins, on the path had ventured onto the bit with only the shiny metal boxes. As shocked as everyone else the driver of the car braked but it looked like it was going to be too late to stop... “Hello there!” Triakosia said to the shocked goblins holding the car over her head “I suggest you all get off of the road now.”

  4. Okay after the (mostly) success of the October events I’m trying again with a lighter one for The Holidays! As before this is mostly a social thread, no need to do any kind of rolls (unless you wish) just a chance to do awesome heroic things. Roughly one a week I’ll post a change to the circumstance and people can pick things up from there, rather than trying to do it all in one month this time we’re going for a more relaxed two months with a few more events to compensate. The Goblins aren’t malicious, just exploring this new world excitably not noticing any potential dnagers they put themselves in or others. Once you’ve described what you were doing before there arrival, solo or in small groups, you have a chance to try and control the Goblins a little maybe saving one or two humans and/or Goblins from harm.
  5. Downtown Freedom 10am December 24th 2021, Christmas Eve Thanks to local weather conditions, or maybe a weather controller it was hard to tell either way, snow was gently falling on the decorations setup throughout the area. Even though the streets were packed with people shopping for last minute gifts or out celebrating the upcoming day. Those patrolling for danger were finding for now that it seem crime was sleeping. For those hoping something interesting might happen were about to find that they were about to get there wish, a Christmas miracle. Suddenly with a pop a small creature, around 3 feet tall, came into existence. Green skinned with large pointed ears and enlarged lower canine, a traditional Goblin dressed (thankfully) in suitably medieval type clothing. With wild eye glee the little humanoid began to explore this wondering world it had just arrived, much to the shock and surprise of the normal unflappable locals. Then with another pop there was an another, and another, all running around like excitable toddlers with no care of any danger to themselves or others...
  6. Traveller “As always you improvise!” Sitara smiled at the others “Trust me I’ve done this kind of thing many, many times before!” Thinking for a second she typed something on her wrist comp sending a small data package to the others. “Unique tacnet frequencies so you can listen into what we’re doing, I designed the algorithm myself it should be almost undetectable and unhackable.” It was no false modesty as Sitara had worked on this for a few centuries on and off, and it was something she’d not (yet) shared with the Lor. “So shall we do this?”
  7. Ms Grue Daphne always felt weird talking about her life before coming to Earth, it was something that was special to her but also private. But this was family and it was important to be honest to family found or otherwise. “All Grue data was lost in the attack that launched Baby in the first place, and what with the whole deal with the new Meta Mind I’ve not had chance (or desire) to get the data backups.” As she was speaking she realised something and gave a big smile. “The League has extensive records on things this however…”she went a little vacant for a second “Mother Unit just found something I can have something for you within the hour!”
  8. Ms Grue “Well the money was for a Grue expedition, so I don’t feel guilty using it help people. Especially family! And Mother Unit like to play the markets and she’s incredibly good at it for obvious reasons.” Actually Daphne was glad, with her now legally an adult Mother Unit didn’t have a , adopted purpose, so managing her finances keep her busy. She seemed happy at least and that was the import thing for Daphne. “Baby has an industrial replication device, its how she repaired herself on the journey to Earth. If you can give Mother Unit the plan I can pass them along and get things made, might take a day tops.”
  9. Starshine Feeling confident enough to lead the way Rosalind tried her best to sound relaxed as she answered the question as honestly as she could. “Yes I live in a town called Shamong, just the other side of the forest.”she made a gesture in that general direction “We can see Freedom City on the horizon, but I never imagine the city looking anything like this.” another hand gesture. “And it’s not the furthest I’ve ever been in the state, but it’s the longest I’ve been away from home. And it’s just over there, I can be there in a few minutes, but I’m not allowed and it’s frustrating. Guess that makes me a little bit homesick?”
  10. Ms Grue When Daphne had arrived on Earth with particularly nothing she’d had dreams of living a s a normal teenager before becoming involved in the entrainment industry, the very thing that help raise her into the person she was. Knowing no one she’d managed through a mix of skill and luck to land a job as an assistant at a local television station, oh and become an Auxiliary member of the Freedom League. As such she was estatic that a member of her family, partial adopted or not, had achieved what she’d original dreamed of and even more! “That amazing! I’m really happy for you!” she kept her squee down to a minimum “I can recommend some good people if you get to hire your own people.” Lynn’s own reaction hit her like an emotional semi-truck, human never seemed to do such thing. “Ow empath here!”she joked, but she also gave Lynn a comforting hug “But Auntie Lynn here is right, I have access to an old Grue slush (invasion) fund, even with the money I give to help people there’s enough to give you a stipend if you want to spend some time finding yourself. You can even borrow Baby for a bit if you wish, I think she’d appreciate the exercise!”
  11. GM Post The little drone had to zip around a darkened are full with racks full of various metal widgets, obviously this little criminal gang has borrowed this local. With spot of light and darkness it was somewhere chosen to make it difficult to keep tabs on someone. Especially someone who could teleport. The said person was in a small are off to one side of the warehouse decorated with a modern looking television and games station, probably not something the little group had purchased legibility. She was pacing the are rather impatiently, probably waiting to see if her partners in crimes would return shortly. How long before she bailed to get lost in the city no one could tell, but time was probably running short.
  12. Starshine “Flying under your own power is amazing, isn’t it?” her eyes lit up as she spoke, “Before I joining Claremont I used to fly through the forest, not too deep because the Green Man stuff is out there, and just so much fun!” Rosalind was a little wistful for a little while before continuing, she’d have to do that again during the holidays. “But you know this isn’t under my own power, and this will take me as far as I’ve ever been before. I guess going away from home is a bigger deal than flying in this tin can!”
  13. Surprise Return! Give me a day or so and I'll get this rolling again.

  16. Madame Raven “I do appreciate that, and I almost feel sorry for older me getting all my memories.” she allowed herself a quick smile. Then back the question at hand, she wondered if she was overthinking thing looking for a trick answer to an apparent simple question. Screw it why not try the simple answer for once? Sometimes you needed to take a few simple hit to tell how the other person fought. “Because we have the ability to do so! We have the power so we have the responsibility to help those that don’t.”
  17. Ms Grue Even though they were staying out of sight Daphne shifted to her human form, it was what she felt most comfortable being. Daphne then gave her little Nephew a big hug, she’d proud that he’d been to Claremont and done all the things she’d never had a chance having arrived on her own. She could have read his mind for the news, but she want to enjoy the excitement of him explaining it all. “Yes take a seat and tell us both about it!” She scooted round beside Lynn, no need to look like they were playing favourites or anything, they we’re all family after all!
  18. Starshine “I can do that!” Rosalind was happy that she could actually do something useful here. She was surrounded by a golden glow as she powered up and she carefully picked up one end of the object, she could probably manage the whole weight but she didn’t want Freedom Eagle to feel left out. “Do you know how what’s it’s like to fly in one of these thing?”she asked a little nervously “I know it’s a little weird what with me being able to fly, but I’ve never flown higher than the tree tops… and I’ve never been outside the state.” New experience was what this was all about, but it didn’t mean she wasn’t nervous about it all.
  19. Madame Raven Callie thought for a second on how to answer, it was a confusing mess of logic and emotions that even she hadn’t fully untangled yet. Best she could do was come up with some sort of analogy that they could understand. “Imagine your walking along and you find a little raven that’s fallen out of it’s nest. Being a good Samaritan you pick up the baby bird, the whole scene thing is obviously untrue, and you carefully return it to the nest. Not an easy thing because ravens keep there home well out of the way. Doesn’t matter if mama or papa Raven know what you did, that little raven is back safe with her brothers and sisters.” She took a breath to center herself before getting to the real important part. “Well this little Raven has been returned to the wrong nest! Don’t get me wrong I love my new found family deeply, but I need to know what and why this happened to me. If I’m younger version of elder Callie than obviously I won’t be able to remember all this, and if not I need to decide who exactly who I want to be.”

  21. Ms Grue Luckily Daphne had volunteered that day for monitor duty, it actually a nice way to relax and catch up on her television show. Mostly because today was pretty quiet and most of the major issues were dealt with by other, for others it might have been boring but spending so much time alone in space meant you learned to fill your time well. I have a call from Ms Epstein about your “Cousin” I shall tell them you are busy working… No wait it’s okay my shift was almost over, and for once we can take advantage of this for once… The replay was a little cryptic, A step to the left please, but the shimmer of the League’s teleporters made he idea obvious. Which quickly, when the area was clear, formed into the shape of Daphne “Hi am I late?”
  22. GM Post Then you were back in the cinema, in the same places as when you had all left. The chatter from others picking up as if nothing had happened. The heroes however knew something had happened and a quick glance at the clock showed that it was now after midnight. Almost nothing had changed, except for the posters of Nosferatu, now it showed that of Lauren Hammond in her Dracula role. Hopefully this was just a side effect of what had happen, though out of the corner of your eye you were sure she was moving however slowly...
  23. GM Post The calm look of her face quickly slid into one of pure rage, as her carefully constructed imaged began to crack as her features took on a more wraith like visage. She floated up into the air as she again looked more like the form know from her time in Freedom City. In her anger the castle faded into nothing but a white space, not a simple white but that caused by the light from a projector striking a cinema screen. “You shall all stuffer from you insolence…” she raged with a banshee screech “All of you shall suffer…” Something was happening to the void, but it wasn’t an effect from the cinema it was that of an old school television. The corners of the void was folding into a cathode ray blackness, slowly enough that for a moment she hadn’t noticed but even she was confused as to what was happening. “No wait I need more time, you promised, you promised...” Finally all you could see was everything going down to a dot, television killing the movie star.
  24. GM Post And with that the room was silent as the magic released began to settle back into the aether. After a few seconds the ghostly staff began to renter the room, some coming from the literal woodwork. The hotel itself began to heal the damage to its structure, caused by friend and foes alike. Within a few hours, by the dawn of what was now All Saints Day, the hotel would look like nothing had happened on this night. Except for those with the senses to see magical energies, for there was now a small tear into the fabric of reality, one that would take decades, if not centuries to heal. A weakness that would need to be guarded least something again attempted to enter Earth-Prime.
  25. GM Post The room was filled with fire and ice as the bugs were boiled and frozen, or simply squashed, filling the room with another stench of decay to go with that of the Carrion Queen. And even though she seem to discount the attack initially she quickly saw the building threat, first simply hold off foes with one hand whilst fighting the barrier, them with both throwing some of the mages away with telekinetic sweeps of her hands. Drawing on her powers, weakened from crawling up through the lower dimensions, distracted her enough that Ouroboros stuck with unerring accuracy. She begun to fall backwards until the portal caught her dragging her back to her home dimension. As it did she scream, a scream of pure rage and frustration that chilled the hearts of all but the sternest of souls. She used no word but the intent was obvious, she would return…
