ic Graduation Proclamation: Mexican Standoff
Tiffany Korta replied to Brown Dynamite's topic in Americas
It was no contest, whilst stealth was the order of the day trying to preserve life was more important, even if it put them at a disadvantage. Getting Casey’s attention she pointed out the body floating in the water. “Can you see them there? They look like there in trouble or worse, I don’t think I could swim against this current. You better go get them I don’t intend to leave them in potential danger.” She silently drew one of her throwing knives from their sheaves and started to look around the area for any potential ambushes or other dangers.- 10 replies

Triakosia's Reflex Save: 1d20+6 25 that's enough to reduce it to half, which put the damage below her Impervious so she should be fine.

As Agnus bobbed and weaved through the air she couldn’t help but feel that it was shame that such an enjoyable thing as just flying around had to be ruined by fighting. Not that everyone would stop fighting and go home so she could enjoy flying around for a bit. So she choose to take out her frustration by, as she was ironically aware, blasting at another one of the Needleships that currently filled the sky. It was difficult to tell if they were making a serious dent in their numbers but hopefully things were starting to get better.

Whilst Agnus was never a massive star she’d spent enough time at events like these to know how to charm and work the crowd, a skill that Britannia seemed to also have in spades. Though the old spirit wouldn’t care to admit it. All smiles she took Amber's hand in response. “Hi there Ms Pearce happy to meet you.” with a touch of defiance she spoke in her North London accent, though she softened it somewhat. She felt quite chuffed at the mental shiver the woman would probably have at meeting someone so common, or even worst New Money, until she remembered that Dee was probably picking up her thoughts. Sorry Dee I couldn’t help myself, guess there still quite a bit of a rebel in me. Anything I can do to make up for that?

Sitara looked through the cockpit at the general chaos going on around them as the battle raged around them, hundreds if not thousands of objects whirling around in a maelstrom of destruction. “It’s probably best if we make our way over to you, we don’t know what exotic countermeasures are being employed by any side.” She lent down beside Ruby and spoke to their pilot. “We need to get to that ship as quickly as possible, without attracting too much attention. I’m sure you’re more than up to the task.”

It wasn’t that she didn’t trust the Lor to answer her questions accurately, it was just that you tended to find out what was important to know just after it happened to you. Beside like most she had all the information recorded to her suits systems for her to study later. Instead she left for the ship as soon as it was polite to do so and began to do as full a system check as the time they had before launch arrived. And even then it was never enough time, as soon as the craft was safely in the air she opened the comm’s to Hūhunu. “No really flyboy it’s fine to take off without checking with you engineer! Noting down here that could explode or anything.” her tone suggested she was gently mocking the alien and wasn’t that upset with his actions. Well not completely.

Sitara was a engineer and a scientists, trades she’d falling into be necessity rather than choice, but she had grown up in a world filled with gods and spirit. “I am as you know very old, so old that I predate the Pact that limits the influence of the Gods themselves, I’ve lived in a world filled with magic. I’ve also lived on world with technology so advanced it seemed like magic, and I know the subtle difference between the two.” Having made her point, in a friendly gentle manner, she went back to the matter in hand. “If it an AI then we should allow it to form, I believe the Empire gives them certain right to exist. As we’ve already shut most thing down I can repurpose the resources to help it fully emerge, should cut thing down quite dramatically.”

In the battle and subsequent freezing many of Sitara’s systems had been damaged, something she had been working on in her spare time between fighting the Communions. Many systems were still a work in progress but her translation matrix had been working away picking up the Terrans language. When Ms Americana called after arriving with the cavalry her system were ready. “I’m hope I’m not interrupting here. My name is Sitara Shashikala I have been a wanderer and explorer and I was, and guess I still am, a Praetorian. One thing I also am is a engineer, though obviously not to you friends high standards.” She paused to allow the information to sink she hoped she didn’t sound like she was boasting to much. “I assume the designers of Gorgon built in some sort of immune systems, may be also nanites of some kind. Maybe we could do something to kick her own system into action? It could at least buy us some time to find a more permanent solution.”

ic Two Duplicators and Grim too!
Tiffany Korta replied to Tiffany Korta's topic in The Realms Beyond
"Damn shame I thought you looked much better before." the sat Merge said, whilst the standing Merge added "Message sent it might tate take a while until..." The tablet/cell bleeped almost straight away catching even Merge but surprise "Well that was quick, must have some kind of response on replay. They have nothing about the security or location, just an address. It really must be a last minute thing..." For a second Merge didn't sound as confident about the whole thing like she normally did. “Either way we have a solid advantage over him, he’s not expecting all of us!” -
Daphne gave a little mental giggle, and hid a similar reaction in the “real world”. I wouldn’t worry about, though many telepaths have really organised minds. It’s also a very useful method of getting information from people, I call it the Pink Hippo method. And growing up I didn’t have any stuffed toys but I use to be lulled to sleep by TV static, the old fashioned snowstorm stuff. The lullaby of the cosmos Mother Unit use to call it. Though I have plenty of plushes not including one of Hologram, we should arrange for you to meet her she another telepath and probably more powerful than me. And more importantly she’s on television and is good at explaining stuff. Daphne’s mental voice carried as much enthusiasm as she spoke in the real world, and not having to take a breath she could carry on and on.

“If we make you this world guardian we could declare you home an embassy, Micronations do something similar all the time. The government might complain though I doubt it with all the good work you’ve done on your behalf.” she thought for a few second then added. “Though there is an alternative world that already has an embassy established in Freedom City, and the law doesn’t distinguish between different world. The diplomat owes me a favour, I helped him defeat a doppelganger causing him trouble. We could house everyone in his house, officially as staff, whilst we work things out. Though I can’t guarantee anything at the moment.”

Whilst gifted with the senses of a dog but Markus still had the brain of a human and his brain chose to show his greatly heightened sense of smell as an amazing piece of Synesthesia painting the world in swirls and flows of amazing colors. With some concentration the smell of the dinosaur, intertwined with the humans that carried it, was a bright green that swirled away from it’s corpse. It was sometime dimmed or even briefly enveloped in but the other harsh industrial smells of the dock but was still relatively fresh and easy to follow. There was however one problem the smell went down to the piers were the ships docked, though no ship was current moored there. The scent was obscured by the massive scent of the ship that it most probably left from.

“Some say that I talk far too much, but this is unfair you can’t answer back hold on a second.” For a few second Vicki felt a weird mental sensation a sort of mental tickle somewhere inside her brain. There we go much better just think you answers and I can pick it up. And to be honest I’ve never used sign language before today I just needed to know it and I did, I guess I must have plucked it out of the ether or like maybe you brain. She actually sounded, thought, a little guilty about the last part. Come one let’s go, I have a surprise for you. She gently but firmly started to guide the other woman towards the school's Zen guardian.

She dabbed her eyes and managed a weak little smile. “Thanks it’s nice of you to say. But I’m happy to be her sidekick.” She began to wave her hand around as she began to explain herself, real enthusiasm moving into her voice. “I don’t know if you saw any of her stuff before she turned to crime but it really spoke to me growing up. I wanted to be her or at least be her friends. When she changed lots of her fans abandoned her but a few of use remained loyal after all if was still a performance and no one normally got hurt.” She though for a few second and then came to a decision adding. “When someone offered my a chance to gain powers I jumped at the chance, not even pausing to consider the cost and through hard work she notice me, notice me of all people! And then when she asked me to help her with a crime, well it was the proudest day of my life.”

Another Earth, Everyone It was to be expected really if the whole world was parallel you would expect them to have duplicates of yourselves. And that those people would be doing roughly the same things and be at the same place, it was still a little disconcerting to actually see yourself especially when there was apparently an age difference. “Well damn.” Maddie/Malena said in perfect uniform “Should one of you have a goatee or something?” Maddie added with a smile. Malena just scowled, obviously they didn’t share a sense of humor. Above them there was the almost constant crackle of electricity reminding them all why they were here.

Dancia wasn't offended by the cowl manner, in fact she was found there cowl attitude refreshing, and she was well aware that was a capable blunt force when necessary. “I’m more than capable of being subtle when the need arises, but in this case...” She looked up suddenly hearing the sound of battle well before the rest of them, except maybe the cowl, could pick up the sounds of the scuffle. “Sound like there's trouble afoot, we’re obviously not the only one who stayed here. Shall we see if we can go help?” Without waiting for a reply she took to the air to got see if you should help in the battle, though she wasn't quite sure for which side yet.

Sitara had been around long enough to have a healthy sense of caution about how organisation worked when cooperations came up. Normally they left a something's out, which could turn out to be vitally important later on when it was far too late to do anything about. First she gave a traditional Lor greeting to the young agent, then again everyone was younger than her, she’d been practicing on updating her knowledge of Lor so it didn’t sound so archaic. “I know the Lor Republic is still in chaos but you local law enforcement has always been extemporly. What’s so important, or dangerous, about these prisoners that you need the Praetorians help?”

“Well that’s not fair, there firing back on us. I’m sure there should be a law against this, i’m pretty sure there are several laws against it.” With so much going on in the sky it was impossible to keep track of everything, though she suspected that some heroes could, so she picked a little corner of the sky for her and her wingmen to keep each other safe. Following one group of needleship she fired off another burst of light towards them, by now having a pretty good feeling for where and when it be in range.

ooc Tales of the Praetorians: We are Legion (OOC)
Tiffany Korta replied to Thevshi's topic in Archives
Unless anything changes we shall keep moving forward. Preparing weapons, just in case. -
The distraction seemed to be working and Sitara little scouting party hadn’t been spotted, or at least they hadn’t chosen to worry about their presence. She unclipped the two parts of her force pike and checked the powers levels just in case, best to be prepared for any trouble ahead after all. “Okay let’s keep moving but keep an eye out for trouble. I doubt we’ll be lucky enough to get to far in unopposed.” As she spoke she moved cautiously forward keeping her wits about her for any potential ambushes or other forms of attack.

Are you fine with a mix of different PL's? Cause my first instinct is to put Triakosia up for this.
