JAL First Class Cabin, 40,000 ft above the Pacific Despite what people thought the life of a music journalist was not a glamorous one. Many nights in grotty bars and clubs listening to mediocre to downright bad bands. But today was not one of those day for the “lucky†Carmen Canto as she sat in First Class enjoying all that it had to offer. The reason for this lucky break? It seems that the reclusive Japanese Idoru singer Sanshain KinpÅge had suddenly agreed to give an interview. But she insisted that it be in person (if that counted with an AI) and had asked for Carmen by name. Yeah Sanshain’s bubblegum pop might not be Carmen style, but who would turn down a first class flight to Tokyo?

It seemed that the alien had one or two tricks of her own as she began to fade from sight the motes of light shining through her see through body. But apparently the giant woman had other thing in mind, she reached with her free hand and plucked the cube that the alien had been carrying, before it could go insubstantial like it’s owner. Obviously the woman had what she was after and in the time the alien had resolidified she was already out of the door and making a move away from the warehouse.

Lucy wasn’t the most graceful of fighter, when she was growing up Martial Arts were a strange and wonderful things thing that few had heard off let alone seen. But she had learned to fight on the streets and whilst blunt and to the point, and normally quite effective. With the newborn vampire having slipped from her grasp she went for the much simpler option of just trying to hit the thing.

The building was a circular glass structure with a solid core that made up the lab running through the middle. Like many building these days in Freedom it wasn’t lit up, the only light was from the glow from the Security station just off from the main reception. Actually it was slightly odd that a building that conducted such cutting edge research had such light security. You would have thought they’d be concerned about Industrial Espionage, but no only a few rent a cops patrolled the building.

It didn’t take long for Lucy to work out where all the trouble had shifted to and she was quickly entering the Lounge. Apparently she would have been in much the same situation of she’d stayed outside, she silently sighed to herself before pushing on to try and stop the whole mess. She put a foot on the broken window sill and struck a fairly defiant pose. “I don’t suppose you want to make this easy and tell me exactly what is going on?

“Good job I’m here then isn’t it.†came a voice from behind the altar. The source of the voice soon revealed himself by hopping onto the altar itself. It was a rather large Raven who looked at the little group with surprising intelligent eyes. “That cunning old demon, if you excuse my language, has a contingency plan for just about everything. She has a emergency teleport back to Freedom City.†it hopped off the altar and made it’s way toward a corner of the church, looked back to see if you would follow. “If you’d like to follow me, I promise you it completely safe.â€

Daphne almost bubbled over with excitement again it was a chance to do her party trick. Well actually she hadn’t done it in public yet but she had really been practicing. She stood looking at Grimalkin mentally framing it how it would look on a screen. She then shifted her feature until she looked exactly like Grimalkin. “I’m a shapeshifter.†she kept her own voice even though she could mimic voices as well “I thought it would be handy for you horror house. I can also alter my size up and down and I can row additional limbs.†as she spoke her features shifted back to normal as she spoke. “Oh and I’m also a telepath.†she added in as almost an after thought.

ic Sweet Dreams (Aren't made of this)
Tiffany Korta replied to Brown Dynamite's topic in Lantern Hill
Daphne raised an eyebrow at both the lizards and Rene's comments. Not that she couldn't claim that the whole thing was very exciting. An potentiality dangerous. Still she had to least try for a peaceful solution. "There are places in the Dreamland where you exist quite happily without harming anyone, or any thing. This is you one chance to retreat without harm, if you don't we'll have to stop you efforts." -
If Daphne had one flaw, and if you could call it a flaw, she was a terribly bad liar. So she had paused for a second and picked her words very carefully. "I've been around for a while but this is the first time I've worn the costume. What you think? I think it needs a cloak, I look good in a cloak. She gave a little twirl in the air. Though not to fast she was still getting use to flying using her new found Telekinesis.

Francis didn't even hesitate for a second. Dropping the limo down relatively gently she shot off into the air to catch the jumper. With her superseded she could have quite easily caught the man and return to catch the fleeing rock star. However the jumper himself couldn't have survived such sudden change of forces that hardly bothered Triakosia. So she gently caught the falling man without him feeling any discomfort. "You know there are easier, a safer, way to fly these days?" she couldn't quite hide the annoyance in her voice.

Sintara gave a little shrug. "After a while all conflict is the same a no of exhilaration and terror. Only the people and the technology seems to change. Now the Universe however is filled with such wonderful things and I advise you to experience as much of it as you can." She put one arm round her Amara and threw the other up into the air gesturing to the heavens. "Stick we me kid and I'll show you many wonderful things."

Dancia didn't need to be told something strange was going on here, her journalist instincts were telling her exactly the same thing. For what seemed like the thousandth time she cursed herself that she wouldn't be able to report what they found here today. She wad also quite aware that heroes she was with didn't need to be told the obvious. "If needs be I'm sure Velocity and myself could easily avoid them. But I'm pretty sure that would make think even more awkward. Still let's she what we find out first." even if they didn't apparently speak English she still whispered to the others, you could never be to sure in these kind of things.

Daphne pause for a second whilst she considered all her options, there was a lot going on but she could happily deal with several thing at once. It was an advantage of being a woman. As gently as she could she freed one of her hand, whilst still trying to hold onto Tundra, this newcomer was apparently dangerous to all them at this moment. “Maybe now is the time to consider a truce?†Holding the other woman behind her back and away from her to help protect her from the creature Daphne tried to attack the creature with her one free hand. “And you bully should pick on someone you own size.â€

Lucy stepped between them and offered up a hand to take the rope, she suspected something about it’s ability that she was more than willing to test on herself. After all she had very little to lose if this all went wrong. “Here let me try and take the rope, if it only attack the living then I’m okay and as I don’t need the breath it shouldn't be able to harm me.†she gave a little shrug “Well that's the theory in any case.â€

Lucy flipped the truck so she was holding the hood of the vehicle and after a few seconds rebalancing herself she began to swing the vehicle around like a very unwieldy club. “I’m sorry to do this, but you really should have surrendered when you have the chance.†She concentrated on the apparent cultist around her, but she tried her best to keep an eye on what trouble Fred was getting himself into, and the statue they had been sent to recover. Though it seemed that she had to do everything in the agency even she would struggle to keep track of everything going on here right now.

Using the van as a blunt weapon Lucy will try and sweep up one or more of the Acolyte Sweep Attack: 1d20+10 26. If need be and possible I'll spend the HP for a takedown attack.

After a few seconds consideration Sitrara gave the other woman a friendly hug. She then pulled back and gave her a wide smile. “I am much older than I look. In my village back home you were lucky to last forty years, whilst I’m at least four thousand years old. Though I spent a portion of that in a healing machine whilst empires fell.†for a moment there was a hint of sadness in her voice. “Do you know which unit you will be assigned to? I assume in their wisdom there put all the newcomer together.â€

Daphne was almost buzzing with excitement Halloween being her second favorite holiday and the first she got to experience in the flesh. Being a telepath it took all her effort not to broadcast her excitement to everyone around her. She drifted down from the sky currently in a disguise despite her best efforts her Grue nature were still distrusted and she didn’t want to ruin Halloween, so for the duration of her time helping she was Ms Red. She’d altered her appearance to what she hoped looked a rounder more friendlier face with long flowing red hair and a red jumpsuit. “Hi there I’m Ms Red I called ahead I’m here to help you set up.â€

This is the kind of thing that Miss Grue would love, were does she sign up .
