  1. Miss Grue's Noticing Things: 1d20+7 19
  2. I'm thinking more a blogging reporter who goes out a collects stories as normal but then post them up on a news blog that way she can go after the stories that the regular papers won't touch. It also allows her to keep her own hours, quite handy for a Superhero . I'm thinking of giving her a enemy as a complication a Lex Luthor expy for her, possible Grant. He or maybe she will have a problem with Dancia for digging around and revelaing there dirty little secrets and Centuria for alway's seeming to save the pesky reporter from danger.
  3. It seems that this might be a going concern for March. So is there anything I've missed / screwed up in the build? I'm thinking of a few minor alteration to the background, mostly her being found by the League rather than AEGIS and making her a blogger rather than a more traditional reporter.
  4. There was a pause, possibly whilst the woman considered her options, before she spoke again. “I SUPPOSE IT WOULDN’T HURT TO TELL YOU THE BASIC, SOUND LIKE IT WOULD BE YOUR KIND OF THING ANYHOW. SEEMS THERE SOME MAGICAL BEAST RUNNING ABOUT HIDING AWAY FOR SOME REASON. I WAS HIRED TO TRACK HIM OR HER, THOUGH SHE WAS INSISTENT THAT IT WOULD BE A HER, AND IF POSSIBLE RESTRAIN HER OR AT LEAST DRIVE THEM OUTSIDE. SHE GOT SOME MORE OF USE LOT WAITING OUTSIDE.†there was a hint of disgust or at least dislike in her voice. “I MIGHT NOT BE A HERO RIGHT NOW, A SUIT LIKE THIS IS HARD TO KEEP RUNNING IN TIMES LIKE THIS, BUT I LEAST HAVE PRINCIPLE UNLIKE THAT LOT OUT THERE. THERE JUST THUG PURE AND SIMPLE.â€
  5. Lucy might still be slightly behind he time, despite years trying to catch up with 90 years of popular culture, but even she knew the concept of good cop, bad cop. Not that she was playing the part exactly, genuinely she was just a nice friendly person. “Look someone is doing very bad things to people and we think you know who. I’m not concerned about why you're doing this we’re not after you we want to know where to find who doing this.†she gave a friendly look and a encouraging smile “Tell us what you know and we’ll leave you alone.â€
  6. It had never really bother Lucy about her undead status and by now she was use to Harry faux pas by now. But it didn’t stop her taking the micky out of him. “I believe the term is Undead American, though I just prefer to be called Lucy.†she leaned over and gave Harry a kiss on the forehead “But it’s sweet nethertheless.†She stood back and lifted her hair showing a small scar on the forehead, the only blemish on her perfect skin. “That what killed me a single gunshot wound to the head, I believe that the bullet still rattling around in there. I keep meaning to see someone about that.â€
  7. The diner wasn’t standing in the 21st century but Lucy remember it well and wanted to visit the place again. It had taken a few minutes to convince Bluegirl that she was on the level and could be trusted. Whilst the young woman trusted her enough to let her see her in her secret identity she still wouldn’t reveal her true name. She was pleasant enough company and seem quite chatty about what was going on the city including the possible trial of a senior Mafia boss, the very case that would cause Lucy’s inevitable demise. But right now that wasn’t what bothered Lucy it was the strange looks that the two women were getting from other people in the diner, it had taken Lucy a few minutes to figure out why they were looking, there were a few things about the 1920’s she hadn’t missed and this was one of them.
  8. 15 Bandit 1, Unharmed, GM 13 Rene, Dazed & Bruised, 2 HP 12 Bandit 2, Unharmed, GM 11 Bandit 3, Unharmed, GM 9 Father Henri, Unharmed, GM 6 Carriage Driver, GM Father Henri to the resue Attack Roll: 1d20+5 15, Bandit's Toughness Save Toughness Save: 1d20+5 21 Bandit will return fire on Father Henri Attack Roll: 1d20+5 20, Henri's own save Attack Roll: 1d20+5 18 a Bruise. Well not a complete loss and Rene is now undazed.
  9. Stepping out of the carriage his robes swirling around him Father Henri bought his slightly unwieldy weapon around in a sweep to point at the still standing bandit. “Normally I am a man of faith and peace, but as the bible commands I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes.†With another puff of smoke the bullet struck true and the bandit staggered backward, but it didn;t seem to produce a wound. With what Rene had seen in the last few years maybe the man was immortal? But they didn’t have much time to consider such thing as the Bandit raised his own musket and fired back at the young priest. “Did I not tell you Father that no one can kill me, Napoleon's best couldn’t do the job and I doubt you can either.†His own shot hit true and stuck the priests shoulder, though the Priest showed no sign of pain at a possible wound.

  11. Daphne wasn’t to worried about the creature threat if necessary she could alter her own brain chemistry to wake herself up, as long of this creature wasn’t lodge in her own psyche but she still wasn’t worried about the threat. “You really don’t know what you're dealing with do you? There’s little chance you could do me any harm in this dreamscape. If i didn't want to try and stop your plan, whatever it is, then I would already be gone.†To demonstrate that point she aimed a punch towards the creature.
  12. Miss Grue shall punch the Lizard king in the face Attack Roll: 1d20+10 25. Not to shabby.
  13. Whilst she couldn't ready the alien shapeshifters body language it wasn't difficult to tell that he was angry and potentially dangerous. She gestured to Wraith to keep an eye on the Grue just in case he decided to start trouble. Then sheathing her sword she made her over the the fallen man, she had a little medical training but nothing beyond simple first aid. Assisting Saturnalia she looked into the other woman eyes. "You know his best chances for survival is for us to call the authorities. This doesn't have to end badly if you make the right choice."
  14. Landing lightly on the rooftop Blodeuwedd made her way silently along roof, she wasn’t completely concealed so the other could follow her if they wished. Reaching a skylight she carefully leaned over to looking inside, taking a quick glance to see how easy it would be to open. Before she began to work on opening the skylight she touched her comm to check on her allies. She doubted they would struggle but it was still polite to ask. “Is everyone doing all right down there, I can rejoin you all if there is any trouble?â€
  15. As much as Lucy wanted to catch these two villains she knew she couldn’t quite follow their rapid ascent out of the buildings. And whilst she was quick she really didn’t know the layout of the building well enough to track them down. Beside they were here for a reason, the reason that was standing right there. Decision made she nodded toward Fred a smile at an almost victory achieved. “Fred you better go find out what trouble Harry’s got himself into, we’ll get everyone out of here and call the authorities.â€
  16. Well this is going swimmingly Agnus! You couldn’t manage a band let alone a group, maybe you should just smile and act as the muscle. Let the smarter people do all the thinking. “Okay let’s take a step back here. What do we know right now and what do we need to find out? Then we can work out a good plan, though right now Osprey’s plan sound a fairly solid.†Mama Stone didn’t raise her daughter to quit, despite it being a good idea many, many time. “Sorry Mr Cruxberry but this place is far from safe, this could take a while so you might want to find somewhere comfortable. Like Whitehall.â€
  17. Whilst the pair had been struggling with the computer Agnus had spent the time examining the encased cyborgs. The spirit that empowered her gave her access to quite a bit of medical knowledge some of it quite modern. All she knew about VERA was how to ask the computer questions, which wasn’t much help right now as the computer wasn’t talking to her. After her initially examination she finished in time to hear Dee’s assessment of what happened. Of cause all things lead to Freedom City should have expect it really. We don’t need the train to get us all there I can teleport us all there, I commute to Freedom all the time. Though to be sure I’ll like some idea of where we’re going to end up.
  18. Lucy's Attack Roll: 1d20+12 32
  19. With all the speed Lucy gathered she threw herself up the side of the building with the momentum she had gained before climbing up the rest of the distance. That meant that she didn’t have much time to figure out the situation, not that she needed that much time. Walking towards the tangled pair, not giving much thought to Fred’s bloody form, she threw a simple punch at the female villain. fending off any comment’s from Fred she added. “What you said no hair pulling nothing about punching.â€
  20. Whilst she could probably stay insubstantial for as long as she wanted, hopefully long enough for Mother Unit to figure out something was wrong, but Devon’s attempt to influence her no amount of power could stop that. “Trust me I don’t feel fear, I grew up in deep space after seeing the grand majesty of infinity there is very little that can still affect you.†As she spoke she adjusted her density from being almost translucent to her maximum density, luckily she didn’t have to worry about imaginary floor strength. “I am also immune to this human emotion called love, but still that was very rude.†Turning around she punch Devon in the face with as much force as she could muster.
  21. Free Action : Shift to Density Standard Action : Punch Devon in the face Attack Roll: 1d20+10 27
  22. Lucy greeted the Fred and Harry with one of her broad smiles, though she chastised Harry choice of words with a simple raised eyebrow. “I’m glad you could make it, I’ve got something I wanted to show you... Hold that thought.†Spotting Henry she excused herself from the pair and weaved her way through the crowd towards him, proper decorum of her age would suggest she hold his hand or a chaste kiss but she wasn’t one to follow decorum, throwing her arms around him. Then she gently lead him back towards the other two. “Fred, Harry this is Henry we’ve been dating for a while. I wanted to show you all something special.†One the wall she had been standing at was filled with picture from it earliest day’s to the present. Most were various artist who played over the years, some famous and some not, but a few were of other people. Lucy pointed to a photograph of a group of people apparently from the ‘20’s in the middle of the picture was a very recognizable figure. “That was take the night I’d one my big case that’s the last picture of me alive.â€
  23. Nikki's Attack Roll: 1d20+10 26, Tadyofyla Toughness Save Toughness Save: 1d20+10 16 Dazed and Bruised. Maybe there's luck's changed?
  24. For a second the two demon’s pause neither seeming to be able harm each other, Tadyofyla sneering at her opponent. To this Nikki just smiled and spoke for the first time since this epic fight had begun. “You know your problem you reject human’s out of hand. Now I’d like to give the whole what a piece of work is man speech, but honestly I’m just going to point out how they know all these cool fighting moves.†To demonstrate this she puts her fists together and struck upwards catching the other demon almost totally unaware.
  25. “The day after my 29th birthday I got drunk and disappeared for a couple of day’s never could recall what happened. Guess I’m going to find out...†Lucy was musing more to herself than her rescuer. “You're talking like it’s already happened, you sure you're not seriously hurt?†“No I’m fine and not mad I assure you, what should I call you mysterious Mystery Woman?†The woman bought herself to her full height and struck her most heroic pose, she’d obviously been practicing for this. “You can call me Bluesgirl.†“Oh so are you related to Chester?†“He’s y brot... hey wait how did you know?†she delayed slightly “What did I do wrong?†Lucy couldn’t help but smile at the poor woman’s as she suddenly deflated shaking her head and she tried to looked understanding. “No you didn’t do anything wrong, I have the advantage of a long view of all this. I’ve met your Grand-Nephew in the future, it’s kind of complicated.†The poor woman had a mix of confusion and disbelief, unlike Lucy this wasn’t as common to be almost mundane. “How about I buy you breakfast and I’ll try to explain, I feel like I haven’t tasted real food in almost ninety years...†And then I can try to work out why I’ve never heard of you before...
