  1. Daphne listen to the scientist speech taking in as much detail as she could as well as examining all the technical information provided. Whilst she has a fairly good general knowledge of, well just about everything, some of the technical detail still eluded her. Okay I understood some of that, any chance of the cliff notes version? It is a wonder that your race managed to build something as wonderfully complex as myself. Alas my my Physics files were corrupted during the journey. Oh well time plan B then. As carefully as she could she weaved her way through the crowd, whilst she could have phased through them all it sort of seemed like cheating. When she got close to the front of the jostling crowd she called out to Professor Cavesson. “Professor Cavesson I’m Daphne Celeste of the Burroughs Gazette.†she brandished her press pass to prove the point “Could I ask you a few questions about the science behind the device?â€
  2. Reading another person’s mind always carried with it a sort of psychic residue some stronger than others. Mostly the experience was pleasant but reading this man made her feel all dirty. There wasn’t enough brain bleach to clean a mind like that. Whilst her first instinct was to stun the man and bring her to justice there were other people right now in danger, like those girls out there, who could be in serious danger. Beside she knew exactly where he was going to be and she could get there so much faster. For now she let him leave whilst she made her way back the same way to check that the girls were alright.
  3. Player Name: Tiffany Korta Character Name: Centuria Power Level: (12) (180/180PP) Trade-Offs: -2 atk/+2 dam Unspent Power Points: 0 Progress To Platinum Status: 0/120 In Brief: Another survivor from a dying Earth is sent safely to ours, except things didn’t go exactly as planned... Alternate Identity: Dancia Devons Identity: Secret Birthplace: Pax Roma Occupation: Reporter Affiliations: None Family: None known Description: Age: 129 (DoB: 18th April 1885) Apparent Age: 33 Gender: Female Ethnicity: African American Height: 5’11†Weight: 180 lbs Eyes: Brown Hair: Brown The costume that Dancia wears is familiar to most people of Freedom City, if not the world, as it is the blue and yellow costume worn by Earths mightiest hero Centurion. On closer inspection there are several major differences. The jumpsuit is a darker blue with extra padding and texturing to provide extra protection, this also gives Dancia the appearance of being much more sculpted than she is in reality. The breastplate and greaves are more bronze than gold in color, made of a high tech material with almost no weight to them. The cloak, well the cloak is mostly ceremonial and has no special features. Power Descriptions: The exposure to cosmic energies that she received during her inter dimensional journey have radically altered Dancia’s body down to it’s very core. Super resistant and strong she has no need to breath and doesn’t heat and cold like others. Not only that but can also fly and operate at inhuman speeds. Her senses have been similarly affected with her able to see and hear things well beyond the range of normal humans. History: When the Terminus invaded the world of Pax Roma, a high tech world where the Roman Empire never fell, Centurion was sent safely to Earth Prime. But his father wasn’t the only one working on the possibilities of Inter Dimensional travel in a secret Imperial laboratories a rival of his was working on exactly the same technologies. When the invasion came the laboratory looked to help halt or at least stall the forces of Terminus, but as it looked more and more likely that the battle was lost the scientist turned there attention back to the inter dimensional device. Though untested and uncalibrated there only chance was to send someone through to find help from another world, or at least warn them of the threat of terminus, the facility lack the power or time to send more than one person to possible safety. In it unrefined form that machine would put incredible stresses and strains on the traveller, so it was decided one of the Centurions of the CCC Legion would use the device to fetch possible aid. To a man and woman all of the cohort volunteered, despite the risks, and so lot was drawn. Dancia was the lucky winner so dressed in her Legion armor she stepped into the machine. The machine worked but its design was imperfect and Dancia was lost in the Void between world for almost ninety years before she finally arrived on Earth Prime, following in the wake of Centurions journey. Half dead from the travel Danci collapsed on arrival to Freedom City and spent six months in a coma recovering from her journey. All the while she under the protection of the Freedom League who kept her a secret in case she was another duplicate sent to fool people. When she awoke Dancia could remember nothing before arriving in Freedom City, beyond a random set of conflicting fragments of memories. Despite the best efforts of some of the worlds best psychologists and telepaths she still cannot remember any details of who she was before she arrived. Once fully recovered and determined not to be a threat Dancia was given a new identity of Dancia Devons and supported whilst she found her place in the world. She seemed drawn towards a career in journalism and with her new identity she earned herself a job on the Freedom Ledger. Granted right now it’s collecting stories for the paper website, but it gives her the freedom to both pursue the kind of stories that could make her career and help people as a superhero. Personality & Motivation: Whilst Dancia will never hesitate to use her powers to help protect people from harm, she doesn’t think of herself as a true hero. She incredibly modest as to what she can do and doesn’t think she quite measure up to other heroes in the world. She’s a difficult person to get to know well but she a stern and serious young woman focused on becoming the best at whatever she does, whether in her day job or her time as a hero. Powers & Tactics: Dancia’s first instincts when faced with a threat is to make sure that innocents are kept away from any possible danger, if she can she’ll draw the danger away from them or failing that remove them from any potential harm. Only then when everyone is safe will she turn her attention to defeating the enemy, even if that means taking a bit of a beating. Complications: Who am I?: Dancia has no memory of her life before waking up in Freedom City. Not knowing who she is Dancia is prepared to go to almost any lengths to find the truth. Once I was...: Even worse in her time in the void she somehow absorbed memories of different lives all her alternatives. Not know which is true she could be convinced that one of these could be the truth. Touched by the Void: Travel through the void has left an indelible mark on not just her physiology. It also left a signature that seems to draw creature and people who have travelled through that place towards her, and it's generally not a pleasant reaction. 4. The armoured colossus gently took the items offered to her, but she still eyed the pair with not a little bit of suspicion. “WELL WHAT YOU SAYING MAKE SOME SENSE, BUT I’VE GOT TO BE SURE.†With a surprising gentleness for such a mighty looking suit of powered aromour the Lancaster Witch put the precious magical items on one of the few remaining trestle table near the three of them, Then she looked back at Rene. “GIVE ME THE GLASSES. AT LEAST FOR A FEW MINUTES. IF NOTHING HAPPENS YOU CAN ‘AVE BACK YOU STUFF AND GO ON YOUR WAY.â€
  5. Lancaster Witch's Sense Motive: 1d20+2 22. Whilst she's technically lost it really close and she rolled a 20, so your not quite out of the woods yet...
  6. The carriage has a minor crash, in modern parlance a prang. Could Rene give me a Reflex save so as not to be thrown off the carriage. Let's say DC 15.
  7. As hard as Rene tried the already spooked horse were harder to control than was expected. With the next corner the horses, and the carriage, left the road and into a lightly wooded patch. Striking a nearby tree the carriage halted the horses continuing on their course. Luckily the rougher ground had slowed the carriage so the impact wasn’t as dangerous as it could have been. The bandit’s for their part simple pulled out a the verge of the road content to see how the driver and passengers of this vehicle faired from there little crash.
  8. Sure that's fine, she's obviously not magically inclined just able to see it effect. You''ll still have to bluff her that the paintbrushs effect is just a residual of the other magical devices.
  9. Revenant What sounds they make If anything the appearance of Lucita made the woman scream more than when she was initially attacked. Of cause that could be because of the sword poking through the other vampires shoulder, only inches from the girl. With some gentle encouragement the girl fled from the alley probably to fetch the Watch , or worst, she didn't have much time. Once a lifetime ago Lucita had had a normal life. She had been a defender of the innocent to the court, saving them with words instead of steel. She was betroved and maybe there could have had children.... That had all changed when the Master arrived. One of the eldest vampires he had serviced countless attempts by the knights and inqusistion to end his existence. And for some reason he had become interested in Lucita. "You see that glow on the horizon? That is the dawn little brother. You should not have been hunting so late." With her age she now found the sun did her no harm, but to one as young as this he would die in the first light of day. "Tell me where to find him and I will make your death swift." He would have known about her and what she had done to his kin, her brothers and sisters in darkness. For when she woke into this unlife, fir reasons unknown even to her, her she did not change like the others. No red thirst drove her actions, no desire to inflicting harm and suffering on others. If did not take her long to realize this, nor for him either, and when she knew she was free she took up the sword and killed all his children. But for the first time, and far from the last he got away. With the smell of his burning flesh he finally told Lucita what she needed to know and she was true to her word. In a simple hooded woollen robes she looked like any normal monk about there business, and few knew her kind could travel in the daylight. In the darkness of the hood her solid black eyes, a mark of her difference from everyone, were unseen. She made her way quickly for the Elder vampire she hunted had already heard of before presence and was attempting to flee to other lands aboard the Demeter. Secure in the knowledge that she was distracted by one of his children he would probably be sleeping. When he awoke Lucita would be waiting for him, and finally all this hunting would come to an end...
  10. The armoured woman looked thoughtful for a few seconds, as much as anyone could in a couple of tons of iron, brass and wood. "AYE INNOCENT YOU MAY BE, BUT YOUR SHOWING UP AS HAVING AN MAGICAL ENCHANTMENT. AND NOT ONE OF THESE CHEAP TRINKETS BUT THE REAL THING." She gestured to some silver jewelry, or various quality, that lay strewn at her feet. "YER JUST GIVE THE OFFENDING ITEM AND I'LL LET YOU ON YOUR WAY. EVEN GIVE YOU IT BACK ONCE IT CUECKED." Her general tone, and what passed for body language in an armoured suit, suggested that she was unlikely to take no for an answer.
  11. So much for gallantry! She began to follow the woman's progress through the warehouse, gesturing for Fred to go the other way. Hopefully she could convince the woman that they didn't know exactly where she was. As she followed she considered her options. She could definitely make it up to the beam but didn't know if she could stay up or keep up with such a dexterous opponent, she wished for once that she could actually fly like some of the other heroes. She. could try to force her down, but that would risk bringing down parts of the warehouse. At the moment the best idea was to follow her and try to catch her on the ground. "Is that it? A few snide words and then you run? You at least owe the gentleman a confession from the shadows."
  12. Well this was no fun! They should have been gloating, or threatening her, or even promising her a toasty spot in the afterlife. They could have at least be brandishing a machete menacingly. Spying the missing table at least gave her some hope. Obviously this was all playing out to some sort of script. Hoping she got the actions just right she began to skirt backwards trying to make me way into the now open space. "Please... I don't understand... Why are you doing this to me?"
  13. Understood. I have an idea hang on a sec. It must be really difficult being a telepath hearing people's thoughts all the time... And she's probably still listening, bigger! Um sorry about that. Young Britannia began to float down to earth her costume began to fade and at the same time a rather nice suit began to take its place. Even her hair seemed to tie itself up into a ponytail. "Hi I'm Agnus, we can get the formal introductions out of way later. I'm going to try something look around and try not to break anything. After all I helped pay for this!" Walking through to Synapse she eyed the weapons with some suspicion. When she normally visited here she and Lucy would go straight to the living quarters, she wouldn't have been allowed here even if she wanted to. Entering the computer hub where Synapse was working she didn't bother explaining who she was, she guessed she had the same mental siginal she did as when in costume. Instead she offered a small apologetic smile. "Vera this is Agnus Stone guest of Vanguard member Lucy Diamond. Please acknowledge?"

  15. As much as she wanted to see Diaz to safety she also needed to see that her allies, her friends, were safe and unharmed. Beside the kid was more than capable of looking after himself. She waved at him behind her back trying to encourage him to flee the scene of the general melee. That done she took off towards the fight helpfully gaining some speed in the short distance between her and the Battle Brother she raced up to the nearest of them before throwing a punch in his direction. “Miss me?â€
  16. Lucy had know the two detectives long enough to not be totally surprised by their actions, though she found it amusing that they sometimes had more of a ‘20 mindset than she did (without thankfully some of the worst attitudes). And she’d lived in those time. Instead she focused on trying to find out who her enemy. or potential enemy, was with her coal black eyes pierced the darkness searching for the source of the voice, with a little smile as she spotted the source of the voice. “Not right now, we just need you to answer a few questions.â€

  25. The concern never left Blodeuwedd face but there was a slight edge to her voice, there was no threat to her voice just a simple matter of fact manner. “I’m sorry for you lost and I will do my upmost to make sure that he is stopped before anyone else, mortal or Fae, is harmed or even killed. But when he, or she, is capture they will face human justice not that of your kind. There are ancient pact in place that say we have the right to do things this way, and dire consequences fo those that break those pacts.â€
