It seemed like a sensible and straight forward plan, after all she’d suggested the basics, so it probably wouldn’t survive contact with the enemy. Whilst the order encourage a certain amount of creative planning, especially Taid who seemed to thrive on it, it also taught it’s agent to be aware of their limitations. “Do we have any kind of backup plan in case something goes awry? Even if it is just the maiden defence.†She was by her nature a fairly pragmatic kind of person and if you had an ability that would assist in a plan she would be the first to volunteer the fact. But something about admitting around Subito that she was a suitable candidate for the part of the Maiden made her blush.

There were time when one should show grace and composure, when an attack could be considered a work of art in itself. This was not one of those moments. Blodeuwedd main concern was to take down this drug addled idiot quickly. Partially to act before he could use his speedster abilities to his advantage, but mostly so she could turn her attentions to helping her friends. With this in mind she settled for a simple elbow to the stomach, she did as a flourish twist around before planting the blow. It was just a shame she couldn’t deploy her cap right now, the effect of the turn would have set her cloak twirling in a suitably dramatic way.

Another simple Attack roll 1d20+9=27, I don't think she like this guy . Um a straight forwards DC 18 toughness save this time.

With his penalty from the demoralize that actually a hit. For simplicity his Grapple Roll is 1d20+4=17, -2 for the shaken for a grand total of 15!

The one thing that constantly amazed her since she’d returned was how little thing like this didn’t bother her in the slightest. Hell wasn’t exactly what she’d expected, Dante had a lot to answer for, but it didn’t seem that out of character either. She would have expected it to have stronger odour though. Nick plan made a certain amount of sense but she hadn’t had much experience with demons, so they trusted the others to do the actual negotiation. It everything went wrong, well then she could put her unique talents to work.

Lucy had a sudden revelation. She didn’t have any idea how many people in this establishment was involved in the vampire plan. And the doctors strange burst of energy suggested that something had already affected him. The best bet was the Champagne, though she couldn’t be absolutely certain. Her first instinct was to get the good doctor out of there, but that wouldn’t solve anything and he was probably safer in her company. Especially if he was marked as a target. They knew who she was so the dumb flapper act was right out, but the Doctors actions would be a good enough cover for her investigations. She gently took the glass from his hand, no need to overdo it and if she was luckily she could get this tested later. “I’ve never been a gambler, but who knows tonight might be our luckily night.â€

The Countess is more than she seems! She has Emotion Control (love) 6, though it's more loyality than love. So I need a Will save DC 16 from Rene. You can choose to deliberately fail of cause, the plot will work either way... -

After a few minutes the man returned and with a nod they were carefully escorted to the two guards on the stairs. They were as expected searched for weapons and the guard on Constance was a little more through than expected, producing a rather wicked looking dagger from the recesses of her skirts. Rene’s pistol wasn’t found, and it was probably best to speculate where she hidden the item. Once they were thoroughly searched they were allowed to climb the stair alone and told to enter the room alone. Within a rather plain room at the end of the corridor was the woman they had been sent to investigate the mysterious Countess of Domrémy. She wasn’t what most would consider a classical beauty, her face had angular sharp features, but this gave her a rather startling noble bearing. In defiance to modern trend she kept her hair dark hair in a page boy style. Her clothes were obviously of high quality, but she was dressed in what was masculine clothes. There was a certain, indefinable, je ne sais quoi about her. “I am the Countess of Domrémy, welcome to my humble abode. What can you two do to for my humble cause?†her voice had a strange harmonics as though two people were speaking at once. -

With such a pleasant picnic lunch and the landscape rolling below them it was easy to forget the purpose of this journey and instead just enjoy each other’s company. But Lord Steam marvellous vessels had quite a turn of speed, unexpected for such a design, and it was soon drawing near its destination. As it did a call came down from the speaking tube. “I think you and your guests should see this my Lord.†As they all came onto the bridge they could see what the problem was. In an almost perfectly clear sky was a low lying, large bank, of clouds sitting menacingly above an island. Slowly and painful the airship climbed as it drew nearer to the cloud bank, until it was nearly upon them as they could she what lurked above the clouds. Sat above the clouds was the large menacing shape of a zeppelin like airship, a sleek things of gentle curves of canvas and steel that almost seemed as if it was in black and white. Surrounding this was an airborne armada of Avians patrolling around the airship.

During the whole exchange Blodeuwedd had stayed just behind Myrmidon, ready to react if his bluff didn’t work. She made a mental note of just how easily he’d commanded the two, she assumed, clones. Another strange event of this day to mental store away for a later time. <> As she talked she kept scanning the corridor in case anyone else decided to investigate the alert they’d triggered. All the while try to keep up the façade of being just another of the facilities troopers.

For the first time since Amir had first met her Merge actually seemed lost for words. She sat there for several second almost open mouthed She then gestured over the waitress to order her food, and recovered her composure. Finally she’d recovered enough to answer the question. “It seems I’ve misjudged you, not something that happens to me often. You can’t understand how much I’m tempted to accept this offer. But there are thing I’ve got to do, important things, that might mean I’ve got to do less than savory thing to achieve them. And I couldn’t, I wouldn’t, drag you into that world even if it’s by association.†She managed a sad smile “I just hope this isn’t a limited time offer…â€

Compared to its rather impressive arrival the journey itself was rather unremarkable, just a strange feeling of vertigo and they were somewhere else. The room itself was a rather plain concert room, but was packed with a variety of equipment that wouldn’t look out of place in the top laboratories of Freedom City. Standing beside the General were two soldiers in similar uniforms to her own. <“If you don’t mind we’re going to shut down the portal. I thought that these two might be of use to you. Centurion Gurt here speaks the Germania tongue, whilst Brix here has spent time in an area of Gaul that speaks a tongue similar to your own.â€>

“Well I’m not supposed to, but I could hardly refuse a request from the famous Rene de Saens. Best to do it now before this place really gets busy. If you wish you can bring along your friends.†When ready she led them up the left most of two magnificent marble staircases, which met in the middle before continuing upwards. By the looks of things this was where the painting was going to be placed for its big reveal. For now however she continued upwards to a room just off the main landing. The room was guarded by two armed soldiers; it was a mark of the painting cultural importance that it was protected by the elite soldiers of the Legion. Sophie had a brief, a heated, conversation with one of the two guards. It seemed that they were not happy to show the painting to anyone until its allotted time. It seemed that she however had the authority to do this and after snapping of a salute he open the door into the room. “If you’d like to follow me…†Sophie gestured before walking into the room.

Despite the time of the day the tavern was suspiciously busy. To Rene’s trained eye it was obvious that most of the patrons are soldier and rogues of one sort or the other. Whilst they are arranged haphazardly there main aim seems to stop people from reaching the stairs at the far end of the tavern. This was confirmed by the several burly men that were guarding the foot of the stairs. Without skipping a beat Constance made her way to the simple bar at one end of the room. “We’ve travelling far to taste the famaous wines of the Sinking Ship, all the way from the Domrémy region.†She handed him a coin, which instead of its normal faces carried the three Fleur-de-lis of the royal family. Passing a glass, of what appeared to be serviceable wine, to Rene she raised her own in a toast. “To the Maid of Orleans.†All this seemed to do the trick as the Tavern keeper nodded to one of the guards, who went up the stairs. -

“Well that sounds like a plan. We’d be happy to scout for you.†For the first time she saw exactly what Subito was wearing. She went over and gave him a chaste kiss on the cheek, having to bend down to do so. “I just love a man in uniform.†She turned to the rest of the room “We’re partners as well as, well, partners it stop’s unresolved sexual tension.†She didn’t expect them to get the reference, but she was enjoying herself. “Oh a Sharps long rifle, I prefer the Baker myself, may I?†she gently took the rifle out of his grasp and stated testing the weight. She them began twirling the rifle around in a quiet impressive display, before planting the gun on the ground and snapping off a perfect salute. “Yeah we’re not going to need this.†She threw the gun to the Captain without looking at him “Now about these maps, and maybe some breakfast.†She leant in and whispered to Subito “I hear historic calories don’t count.â€

She couldn’t help but feel a flush of pride at the Supervisors comments. Whilst she had supervised her own ops, with varying degrees of success, but this was her first official operation. But whilst she was beaning on the inside she kept her demeanour neutral. “What you got to understand about creatures like the Afanc is that are much things of myth as much as they’re creatures of flesh and blood. In some ways more so. They tend to act in certain way’s not out of some instincts but because that the way the stories say they at.†Whilst they finished off their picnic she told Subito some of the legends about the various Afanc’s that inhabited Wales, including a few that had never been recorded anywhere else

“I suspected as much, but it’s good that you spotted them.†Rene couldn’t tell if she was being genuine or just humoring him. “Follow my lead inside, if asked your my bodyguard. It’s not safe for a woman to travel unprotected in these time. But loyal also to the cause, they wouldn’t let a mercenary into the Countesses presence.†She gave a small smile “And I want you to be there, despite what you think we’re partners in this venture till the end.†She pulled the buggy up to the tavern and dismounted, petting the buggy’s horse whilst she waited for Rene to join her. -
There was a tiny part of Blodeuwedd that wanted to just give up and go home. But there was also a stubbornness that meant she couldn’t, she wouldn’t, just give up. Only now surrounded by other students did she begin to realise just how difficult being Cerys would be. “You’re all being very kind, well at least I think you are…†she gave Crow a quizzical look, then a little grin, at his statement “I suppose I could try some of the more physical activities. I’ve done a little Parkour and Freerunning, but it’s a little difficult to do in a village. Same for any kind of climbing, Freedom City's perfect for Buildering. I’ve also done a little archery; we’re famous for the Longbow after all. It’s just finding people to compete with on an equal level, especially in a school like this.â€

She gave a sly smile as she looked at the credit card. “Ah you’re working on a false assumption. That this is all about the money. I’m here sitting here because my employer left me out to dry, revenge if you like. I have my reasons for what I’ve chosen this lifestyle, not that I feel like sharing my reasons…†She got out a pen and wrote on one of the restaurants napkins. “I really don’t want a reward for doing this, surprising at that seems. But if you feel the needs to repay me for my services, this is the name of one of the finest Neurological expert in the city.†She slid the napkin towards Amir “She’s also almost impossible to get a consultation with. I don’t have the influence or the money. All I ask is a promise that you’ll try to arrange a meeting no questions asked.â€
