  1. “I’d love to give you another go, but they tend to frown upon people climbing outside the Library, or even the Main building. There was this incident…†despite herself she blushed a little. She wasn’t quite sure exactly what the problem was the line had deployed in time and no one, especially her, had gotten hurt. But people had gotten upset over the whole thing, and she had been told not to try something like that ever again. “If you want to test your mettle against us the Gym’s got a Basketball court, we could always Shoot some Hoops. After all how hard can it be? It’s just like Netball but with more moving around.â€
  2. “I’m not sure about that, the Grue play there card pretty close to their chest, but they certainly must have an interest to defend the Tine from the Lor.†She studied the display for a few second, seemingly lost in thought. Most races would considering dealing with both the Lor and the Grue a daunting prospect very few who got caught between the two races came out on top. “Well I won’t say this doesn’t complicate thing, but owe you for all you’ve done for my species, and I’ve always wanted to test my mettle against the likes of this lot.†She gave an evil looking smile showing an array of perfect teeth. “I guess our contract with the Tine is null and void. You may not pay any better, or at all, but it going to be a much more interesting time. But I need to know what you've going to do, meet me in an hour in my cabin and have yourself something of a plan.†She leaned in to whisper “And you might as well bring that ally of yours that’s been skulking around…â€
  3. “All loyal men are old enough to serve the revolution. It is the young like yourself that feel more fiercely the passion of a cause, and our opponents are also aware of them. Some don’t have the stomach for the sacrifices we must make for the new age.†His eyes had lit up and he seemed momentarily more animated. “And they will not know you beyond a disgruntled soldier of the revolution. I need you to get into your company and discern if she has the talents ascribed to her. And you will not go in alone I have asked the Committee of General Security to send an agent to assist you.†“And that wold be my cue...†Into the office breezed an young woman, barely older than Rene, followed by Robespierre’s rather hassled secretary. She was dressed plainly in a simple white blouse and red dress, her long curly black hair simply tied back, but she still had a simple beauty about her. “Ah, Rene deSaens may I introduce Constance Mouron.â€
  4. Lucy liked to help out the place where she first found her feet, and her short time on the streets had shown her how tough that lifestyle was. And she had had the advantage of not feeling the cold or even needing to sleep. There was something about helping out at the soup kitchen, to see the best and the worst of humanity helped keep her grounded. She’d seen many wonderful things over the past year, she’d thought radioactive men and dragons, but this little thing she spent her spare time doing she was most proud of.
  5. Toughness Save 1d20+10=27, that a Bruised which pushes him to unconcious. Post away! Did I mention a sequel .
  6. She may not particularly like the man but bugger if she was going to let him drown. Without a pause she dived into the water to fish the man out. Cause it helped that she didn’t need to breathe... She carefully put Lorenzo at Subito feet. . God it was good to be out of the darkness. “Keep an eye on him, I’m going to try and find that chain. Better keep him away from the Adams family up there as well; they seem to dislike him almost as much as us.†With that she dived into the water search to search for the chain, the water softly glowing with her aura.
  7. I'm happy to carry on for a bit, I always figured it would be a challenge to get back home!
  8. Not quite. She's released a third of the audience, so 2/3 of the audience are still there plus all those on the stage.
  9. Agnes gave a little smile as the Speedster arrived. “I’ve always felt a little uncomfortable standing in this city wearing this costume. But hey I should be okay; the Spice Girls were years ago.†She turned and started heading from the main buildings. “I figured subtly was right out in this case so I called ahead and made an appointment, so they should be expecting us. You seem to know quite a bit about the Medical side of things, so I’m happy for you to take the lead. I know this stuff but not to same level of detail.â€
  10. El Heraldo blow struck home true and the massive Avian was stunned by the force of the blow. Blodeuwedd meanwhile shook her head to recover her thoughts. The first instinct was anger, but she had always been taught to stay calm that wouldn’t help at all. She took a few breaths to calm herself and rcover her composure. “I’m fine El Heraldo, just a bit of shock, must learn to be more careful.†She stood beside her college and made a series of swipes towards the Avian warrior, they all struck home but didn’t seem to do much harm.
  11. Toughness Save 1d20+10=11, much better so Staggered and Dazed. Blod attack 1d20+9=15, nah let's go for a reroll 1d20+9=12, so with the handy +10 that's a hit. Another Toughness save for Blessed 1d20+10=28, so he's just holding on. Take him down EH!
  12. There was a tiny flash of disappointment in Robespierre face but he carried on. “Domremy was the birthplace of Jeanne d’Arc. Indeed in this matter the Countess has been quite clever. She has never made any claims of such but already people are suggesting she is decedent of the Maid of Orleans. And of cause Jeanne was a Kingmaker.†He took a piece of paper from the table though he didn’t seem to need to refer to it’s contents. “She also claims to be filled with the spirit of Gallia, the ancient spirit of this land. And indeed there are stories of feats similar to this damn Britannia or our own beloved Marianne." He put down the sheet and fixed Rene with his piercing glare. “I need an volunteer, someone who knows something of this world. Unfortunately all of this cities men of the Science of the Occult seem to be known to the Countess and her allies.â€
  13. Before I forget we both get a HP for our Secret ID complication. Can you also give me a Notice roll DC 10
  14. “Y’know she might actually have a point.†This was Merge Prime standing at the top of the audience “But not everyone, we still need some unimportant people, more hostages means more attention. Let’s say a third†This was Merge Two by the door “l suppose that means me then.†This was Merge Three on the stage. She stuck her tongue out at Agnes, who the two had been staring each other out for a few seconds, and moved to the front of the audience. “Ennie, Minnie, minie, mo … you!†seeming at random Merge Three picked out member of the audience and bought them out to the front, before hustling them out of the second door into the parking lot. Whilst this was all going on Agnes managed to get close to Liz before whispering to her friend. “When the time’s right I’m going to distract them. Try and sneak out of here and find out what’s going one. I’m probably a little too obvious to sneak out.†Despite the situation she couldn’t help but smile.
  15. The dark didn’t feel quite as oppressive as before, but it still made it impossible to hit anything. And boy was Lorenzo was beginning to get annoying. “If animals created gods they too would create them in their own image, that Xenophanes by the way. Much better than all the Social Darwinism you pushing, you probably want to try and read some other books that aren't filled with so much hate. I'm pretty sure that one of us is going to have a invoke Godwin’s laws soon and thats just going to get nasty.â€
  16. Keeping her eye on everyone else she carried on her assault on her original target. One thing she’d learnt in her years was never to leave an injured opponent; they tended to be the most dangerous of them all. Still they seemed to be winning for now, well at least not failing badly, so that was a plus. “I’d lecture you on the errors of your way and how you all one wrong side, but I’d doubt you’d listern. My I suggest instead you all surrender and let us do what necessary?†As she spoke she gave a series of quick efficient little blows to her target, it didn’t do to waste opportunities like that, and may go some ways to convince them to give up the fight.
  17. Stright up attack on Mr Necromancer again, 1d20+12=29 so another DC 27 Toughness roll for him.
  18. Another blast then 1d20+8-2=17. Still missing .
  19. Blodeuwedd leaned in a little to the large man at her feet. “Of cause let me try diplomacy. We’re not here…†He however was having none of it and with a speed that surprised the young heroine he swung with his hammer as he leapt to his feet. The blow connected with some force and Blodeuwedd was left stunned by the sudden attack. “YOU SILVERY WORDS WILL NOT DISTRACT ME FROM MY TASK. I WILL DEFEAT YOU ALL IF NEED BE.†He swung his arms out wide and the crowd noticeably moved that little bit further back.
  20. So he has to resist any damage from the throw, 1d20+10=28, and is okay. Unfortunately for Blodeuwedd he still has the drop on her so he' s going to attempt an attack 1d20+8=20. Which is hit so she has to resist the damage 1d20+8=20, so Dazed and Bruised. So back round to EH, we've got him just where we wanted .
  21. A Knowledge (History) roll DC 10 to know the significance of Domremy.
  22. “I have heard just such thing explained by men of Science, but never with such poetry. I believe you have the soul of an artist Citizen deSaens. It is such a shame that the Revolution forces us to play these parts. Maybe when this is over and France is free of tyranny you may able to go to the Academy.†For a moment Robespierre seemed wistful, but quickly he was his normal self. He picked up the report and waved it in the air “The actions of this woman, and the other Britain’s playing hero do not concern me. A few less of the deserving meet Madame Guillotine. But in Britain they can do no harm, they do not dare to make war with the mighty France. No what concern me more is the reports of someone calling herself the Countess of Domremy. “
  23. Sounds good to me.
  24. The Merge Trois nearest Liz leant in towards her and made a little gesture with her hand “It’s all about the Benjamines baby. This young talented woman here†she gave a wide sweeping gesture towards Ami Hu “Must be worth quite a bit to this studio, among others concerns. And this woman might be past her prime.†She stood in front of Agnes and looked up at the much taller woman “Much be worth at least a few Quid†she put on awful fake British accent. Agnes for her part just kept her cool and gave a tight little smile. “Going to be tough spending all that cheeda in lockdown.†She put on a near perfect local accent, similar to Merge’s own “If this is just about me and her, than just let everyone else go.†The main Merge just shook her head “I’m afraid there are just too many valuable people in this crowd to let anyone go just yet.â€
