“Hi Gail could you arrange to have a large bouquet to Abigail Hart at the Central Library, she’s a Goth so something suitably gothic. And could you find out about a possible donation or maybe me volunteering some time? I fancy reading to kids for a day. And I’m in an important meeting, no not like that…†she gave Subito a knowing look “So no disturbances, not even if Madge wants to talk… well maybe McCartney, but ask Paul to knock first.†She smiled at her own joke, then gave a Subitio and apologetic look. “Sorry but I had to sort all that out. I suspect that someone has got to our poor librarian, so I suggest we do something cleaver. We going to give the book back…â€
-
As soon as she realized what was happening she put her phone on speaker so Subito could also hear the conversation. Then she chatted away with Abigail for as long as she could, trying to pry anything from the poor young woman. It was soon apparent that the poor woman knew nothing. “Of cause Abigail I’m afraid I lean that book to that keen student we met yesterday. I’ll give him a call and get him to return the book.†Upon hanging up she put her fingers to her lips to silence the teen’s obvious questions. Pressing the intercom she spoke to her Receptionist.

Lucy sat on the roof of her house and considered the last couple of days. What with becoming a citizen again, and then the next day being shrunk, thing had been a little hectic. But at the back of her mind had been the pending meeting with this vampire master and Rene warning. In her old profession she was use to figuring out her opponent’s next move, in her new she tended to play thing by ears and just improvise. She suspected that she’d need both to even come close to outwitting someone as old as this vampire. She picked up the telephone and call a by now familiar number. “Hello Rene its Lucy, I hope you have some good news for me.â€

Agnes gave a warm little smile. “Well I don’t know about you but I fancy a skinny latte. Oh and welcome to Zenith Studios.†After a quick word with the receptionists she led Subito through to her office. The studio wasn’t big, it was no more than a recording studio and a practice room, but it was a home away from home. Likewise the office was small and uncluttered just a couple of chairs and a desk. Her only decoration was a single gold disk. “Everything hinges on this little bugger.†She threw the book down on the table “All we got to do is decode it. Did you summons contain anything more than my cryptic message?†With perfect recall she quoted the rhyme which had begun there strange little quest.
-
Actually I was thinking the office of my little recording studio in Freedom City, but whatever works.
-
She managed to slip Subito the address to her little studio, the safest place she knew in this city. “Meet me here; I’ll let them know you’re coming.†She then turned and gave her best winning smile to the detectives, despite her sometimes rough edges she did have some media training and knew how to charm people if she need to. “Poor Miss Hart all she was doing was her job. Why would someone want to kidnap a librarian?†she look thoughtful for a moment “She did mention someone suspicious hanging around, but she didn’t give any information about him, apart from him being a bit creepy.â€
-
“I’m Blodeuwedd.†Without turning she responded to Glow “That was for your benefit I can be… difficult to follow.†A quick glance confirmed what she suspected about the van. “This is no commercial vehicle the way it sits is all wrong for a vehicle of that type. I suspect the owner is also trying to gather information on the warehouse.†She did a quick scan around the alley looking for any sight of their possible ally. “I was just here to gather intelligence, but with us pooling our information we could easily come up with a plan of attack.â€

Her stomach rumbled at the thought of food she had eaten since she’d left Cardiff, she’d been too excited to eat on the plane. But what did Cerys eat? Her meals had normally been simple affairs designed to maintain her fitness levels. She’d been introduced to different foods, part of her training to infiltrate different targets, but not simply for the pleasure of just eating. Well one way to find out. She grabbed her bag and gracefully tumbled to the ground. Landing deftly on her feet she put her rucksack on her back, carrying on as if the fall was nothing. “Actually the canteen would be great I skipped breakfast.â€

Ah the first blush of adulthood when the world was against you, because she been a bit of a tomboy in her youth so she’d got it out of the way quite early. “You know I was like you when I was younger, striking out on my own fighting against the world. That why I’m capable of doing this.†The poor kid was unlikely to listen to reason, so she was sorry to say she would had to resort to physical violence. It wasn’t an elegant blow she just drew back her arm and slammed it into the young girls. Striking a good solid blow.
-
Simple strike to start 1d20+11=30, booyah! That's a toughness 28 save. Oh and I'd like to knock her back as well if I can. Then I hop down off the car, I have a plan .

She gave a friendly little smile. She resisted a little victory dance at her hunch being right, that could be seen as a little crass. “Someone else was after that book and after we got hold of the book she disappeared. I’d be more surprised if they weren’t linked.†At his question about the book she shuffled in her chair nervously. “I started to read the book, but I feel asleep reading it. It was a long trying day… and he might have been an excellent scholar but a gripping writer he was not.†She shrugged and brightened up; she scribbled her phone number on a scrap of paper and handed it to Subito. “Let's help the police and find out what they know about the kidnapping. Then we can meet up, in costume, and see if we solve this thing.â€
-
Looking around to see if the police were paying attention to them she leaned in conspiratorially. “Listen kid this is important, why were you after the book? I suspect that the book and Ms Hart’s disappearance are connected and we might be the best people to solve both.†She sighed there should be some kind of secret handshake or something so heroes could identify themselves. “Look I’ll go first. I don’t want to give too much away, secret identity and all that, but when I said a spirit asked me to find the book. Well that wasn’t a lie…â€
-
Despite herself Blodeuwedd couldn’t help but smile under her hood “You could say that. I’m also here to investigate the goings on at that warehouse. And I suspect…†She had noticed the strange van at the other end of the alley on her way down to Glow. Something about the van had stuck her as odd; she wasn’t quite sure what but had learned to trust her instincts, so as she was talking to Glow she had been keeping an eye on the vehicle. “…we’re not the only one here to investigate. Follow me.†It took some effort but she remembered to make enough noise so Glow could follow her if necessary. She arrived just in time to hear the warning from the vehicle. “I would do what she say’s we’ve probably already made to much noise. It looks like we are all looking for the same thing, may I suggest we pool our resources?â€

“Of cause officer I'll be right over. I'm at my Apartment in Freedom City, just let me grab a shower and I'll be right over.†As she spoke she looked out of her window and a sunny London skyline, modern technology wasn't it wonderful. One quick change and she was back in Freedom City, at the last minute she grabbed the book before teleporting away. After arriving she took a quick shower and threw on a comfortable pair of jeans and top. She threw the book into a large bag before catching a cab down to the library.
-
She looked down again slightly embarrassed. “I stumbled upon the aliens quite by accidents. I should have suspected, there technology was just so in advance of anyone else, but I was desperate and once I found out I didn't know who to turn to.†She stood and looked out of the window, looking a lost and small in this massive office. “Your friend is right, they don't just let demons go. The Princes wanted me destroyed, once they figured out I wasn't evil enough, but it amused him to keep me around. But I knew my time was limited so I can up with a plan. I got assigned here to Earth, I suspect they wanted to get rid of me and show me human evil, four human souls to take care of until there contacts ran out.†As she spoke she turned back round and looked at the two heroes. “But I had a plan. I slowly took control of the companies and gathered the rare and exotic mystical materials. The day before there contracts ran out I put my plan into action, I freed myself, took control of the companies and hid away the four businessmen I was sent to gather...â€

Agnes gave him a little smile; it seemed neither of them noticed her strange mannerism for her little info-dump. Well she had the book all she had to do was take a quick look at the contents and she was away. But what about this young lad, maybe it was a massive coincidence but since taking up the mantle of Young Britannia all her coincidences seemed to have been managed. “Cause you can. I guess a meal is out, but how about coffee. There’s a little coffee bar over there, and to be honest I could do with a drink. It’s been a long day…â€

Blodeuwedd dropped down behind Glow, she’d dropped the concealment but her foot falls still made no sound. The goggles glowed a faint green within her hood, allowing her to see everything going on in the darkness. When she got close enough she spoke into Glow’s ear. “Your stealth leaves something to be desired.†She stepped back her pose relaxed, she was trying to suggest that she wasn’t a threat to the two, but she was still ready to defend herself if necessary. “I’m Blodeuwedd. I’m here to help.â€

Great some child wanted for some reason to defeat her in some manner. Still almost everyone was younger than her, so she couldn’t really allow that to be an excuse “Do you really need to do this? Will it achieve anything?†Then again she suspected the answer, when she was younger the best way to gain respect was to defeat the oldest kid in the gang. But she wasn’t going to hurt the child unless she had to. So she watched the girl’s actions and after a few second struck, attempting to pin her and stop making her a threat.
