  1. Mz Grue The big swamp monster quickly taught Daphne's attention that compared to the (currently) tiny gangsters, they were a much easier target! "Let me deal with the swamp thingie, I'm about the right size for 'em anyways!" With a few quick steps, she lunged to grab and hold Cyprus hoping to keep him occupied for as long as she could, she'd acted so quickly that she'd at least grasped him before he could even realise she had. Though he was harder to get a solid hold she figured, she'd like to blame him for his slimy nature from the swamp, but really he was pretty strong more than she had expected.
  2. Dr. Rosa Thorne Rosa had never, and still wasn't a social person, despite gentle cajoling she tended to sleep through any party and let Liam do all the schmoozing. The worst were any kind of nightclubs which were always too loud and smelt of alcohol and human desperation to mate. But this time around she'd have to go in herself, they'd had a long complicated argument but finally, it was agreed that Liam would stay in reserve in case real trouble started. A dress was however right out! She'd settled on a crumpled suit, okay so it was basically what she normally wore but comfort was important in these situations and besides selling an image was important in their line of work. Important sartorial details sorted out she set off to make her way to this discotheque and investigate just what was going on there. After a minute or two of arguing with the taxi driver, a sudden increase of cost for danger pay, a not uncommon thing in certain portions of Bedlam, she made her made confidently and obviously for the front door. For now, the direct approach seemed the best way to find out just what was going on!
  3. Centuria Kate here always found Halloween a little weird, every she'd see one or two little 'um happily running around in her family costumes. Not that she didn't enjoy dressing up and trick 'n treating, despite really dressing up all the time for a very different reason! She was lost in her thought as apparently, she was on pack mule duty, super-enhanced strength has one drawback it seemed, so she couldn't spend all day hunting down a thrift store bargain or checking out those tiny bookstores that seemed bigger on the inside.   4. The Immutable Betsy Brookes Betsy looked at the situation, and as the other said, it was obvious that it was a setup. Unless something sneaky was going on, it suggested something about the demon involved. A plan was formed, it was potentially risky but what was life without a few risks? "I think I should talk to it! Doubt I'll convince him of anything, but at least it was allow the rest of you to sneak away." She figured she'd give them a moment to raise all the relevant concerns before just doing it anyway. It was nice to let others think they had a choice in all this!

  7. Emerald Spider The little bathroom of Slott's & Ramos HVAC Engineering was probably as far from the glitz and glamour that most people would have expected of Emerald Spider. At least it was fairly clean. Peri for her part was taking care of the burn she'd taken during the fight, taking stock of how things had gone that day. Yes, she'd shorted out one of her spare electro-magnets, which would take a few months and her emergency fund to get the exotic materials to make another one. And she had gotten the attention of one of the city's biggest corporations, which could be a plus or a minus depending on the circumstances. On the whole, though it was a success, no one died, or was seriously injured, and Francis would (hopefully) get the help that he needed. Even the property damages weren't that bad, and almost none of it was her fault this time around! And though less important, but just as gratifying, Emerald Spider was popular over all media after the reports of what she'd done. Her favourite was a reenactment of the fight made in Lego (she had to get herself her own Mini Fig. She'd have to give it a comment from the @officalemeraldspider account later. She'd have pulled enough figures to go across America, Freedom City always loomed large there, but she was happy to be top in the local charts. Though she sighed after coming down from the adrenaline of the fight she was bone tired, and still had an afternoon of work, plus a few hours of patrol in the evening. Still, that was what you got when your candle was burning at both ends...
  8. Mz Grue Things had moved on and people were drifting from place to place settling in their new rooms, getting to know their roomies. Really the whole hubbub was enough on its own, she was bathed in the excited emotions of just about everyone in the building. Some trepidations, and a few less keen thoughts but generally all good vibes. Gently steering her floating luggage so as not to hit anyone or anything she made her way to find her room to settle in all her stuff before the important business of getting to know her roomie!
  9. Mz Grue Daphne felt a little pang of guilt, he wasn't showing it but she knew what it was like to always be compared to another person. She as quickly as she could tried to change the subject to matters pertaining to the Fair. "Though I've watched a lot of stuff online, this is my first time actually going to a Ren Fair!" she almost squeed in excitement "Have you had a chance to wander around the area? Do they have any player or the such worth watching?" She had to purposely take a breath, something she didn't really need to do so as not to bombard everyone with even more questions.

Still, no time to worry about that she had this sim to worry about. Growing to massive size she stepped, carefully, forward to put all their attention on the giant alien woman who could take a few potshots. She then bent down and squinted until she spotted a thug still blinded by Seraphim. Then with great care, she gave him a gentle, as gentle you could manage as a fifteen-foot woman, enough to put him out of the fight without any, serious, damage.

It's like a few months back when that UK team had to fight a Mink Gestalt that someone freed thinking they were doing some good!" Finally picking up the vibes to move on she quickly pivoted to her own interests. "I'm a bit of an urban explorer, I like to get to those places where very few people ever go. Some view from the rooftops you can't get without being able to fly!" she looked a little wistful for a moment, one day she should be able to fly, but it was taking its sweet time.

Eyes: Brown Hair: Black Style-wise Cam is almost the opposite of Merge. She tends to wear chunky figure-covering clothes from head to toe, sweater and long dresses are very common choices. They're all stylish, she still has the same sense of style, but more what you'd find in the more refined quarters. She wears her hair long and unadorned normally tied back in a ponytail, along with subtle makeup to enhance her features. She does this even though most of the time she's never seen by anyone! Personality & Motivation: Quiet and shy Cam never talks above a whisper. Even when not trying she tends to blend into the background, she the kind of person you might think about when describing someone as mousy. The only time she speaks with any kind of confidence is when talking about anything she has book knowledge about, then she radiates that kind of teacher/librarian confidence. Ironically like Merge, she tries to hide her intelligence, but for very different reasons. Powers & Tactics: Cam tends to stick to the shadows and observes what is going on, before reporting back to Nicki and/or Merge. Unless it involves recovering information from say library or computer systems she never gets physically involved. Indeed if found out and challenged she tends to disappear and try and flee from trouble as quickly as possible, only distractions, normally from Merge, will convince her to stay when trouble breaks out. Indeed the other two relly on the fact that very few know who she is and that she's often around quietly observing the situation. Complications: Combat Paralysis: Camera Obscura cannot and will not fight, fleeing any conflict as soon as she is able. Eyes: Brown Hair: Blonde with highlights Merge is the exact opposite she dresses outrageously in bleeding edge, and often slightly bizarre, clothes that show off every inch of her curvaceous figure. She often dresses in joke costumes appropriate to the situation. Her hair is "naturally" blonde and is also long but falls to the side to extenuate her heavily made-up face. The tips of her hair are often dyed in a different colour with each copy having a different shade. Tacky yet stylish may be a way to describe her look. Personality & Motivation: Merge Trois acts loud, brash and eccentric and comes across as a little bit dumb, but this is just an act to throw people off what really going on. Her personality is used to distract from what she is really trying to do. She tends to try and surprise people, either by distractions or by dropping knowledge of what going on into the conversation. Powers & Tactics: Through practice, Merge Trois has learned to use her duplication powers in a number of creative ways. Many of them just involve using a large number of duplicates working in tandem to achieve her tasks. Other work by projecting herself out at a distance, in a series of rapid projects to move at a distance, or at an extreme distance to collect information. Eyes: Brown Hair: Black As a professional Nicki has adopted a business casual look, tending towards business pantsuits that are well-tailored and not overly ostentatious. Whilst expensive they're not excessively obvious unless you know your tailoring. She often wears her hair up in a sensible bun along with glasses to give her a professional-looking appearance. She keeps her hair on the shorter side compared to the others, normally around shoulder-length. The whole look is to blend in and not stand out from the crowd. History: What do you do after you've sold your soul to save a family member, only to succeed? Well after a short criminal career, and a longer superhero one Nicki has just this problem. What she did was semi-retire and went back to school to study Psychology and psychoanalysis, managing to study all night whilst also partying all night thanks to Merge who couldn't or wouldn't just sit around as Nicki committed to her studies. Such an arrangement worked as Nicki passed near the top of her class, gaining the licence to practice her (new) craft. Using her money, made through a series of investments, she set herself up in business. Not forgetting her roots she offered free consultation to superheroes, and to supervillains trying to reform, as long as they called ahead of time and made an appointment. Of course, being known as the psychologist to superheroes gained her not a small amount of buzz and clients looking to maybe meeting one whilst going to also get help. Less commonly mentioned was that she also volunteered her time to go help down at Providence Asylum. Something weird started to happen to Merge during this time, the first duplicate after Merge Prime was far from the open-in-your-face person but a quiet, bookish woman who wanted to stay away from people and trouble. Maybe it was the stress of setting up a business or having to put on a more personable personality, or maybe she'd studied far too many Freudian ideas but they'd manifested a third personality who they named Camera Obscura in honour of the brother who'd got her into this mess in the first place. Along with all this Merge, and reluctantly Obscura, have still been acting as heroes doing what they could to help Freedom City in their own way. Personality & Motivation: Whilst Nicki can come over as introverted she anything but shy and has, over the hard years of high school, learned to stay in the background and subtly manipulate people to get what she wants. Though Nicki is still inclined to use her abilities to just be left in peace she does now try to use them to help other people. Nicki has always had a strong moral code, she could never harm or kill anyone, and her career as a criminal hasn't changed her attitude. She does however have a dim view of large corporations and banks, something her criminal career has only helped but reinforced (though there are rare exceptions), she'll make sure that people are not harmed but wouldn't attempt to reduce property damage or the loss of earnings. Powers & Tactics: Whilst Merge prefers to use guile and cunning to avoid conflict if trouble starts she tends to rely on the sheer strength of numbers to defeat her foes flooding the area with as many duplicates as she can. She also tends to avoid bringing Nicki into direct contact with the plan in hand, if possible she will remain a safe distance away and allow Merge to handle the situation herself. Power Descriptions: With a moment of concentration, Nicki can summon up Merge Trois and is linked to her and Camera Obscura sharing their thoughts and senses. Whilst they share a consciousness they all have their own thoughts and desires, mostly they have similar goals just different styles of achieving them. Complications: Freedom: No one knows that Nicki is Merge Trois, something that she works very hard to maintain. As far as possible they've tried to maintain that they don't know each other, or at least only vaguely aware of each other.   16. Emerald Spider "Every villain is a challenge, it's egotistically for me to think that I'm better than any of them! As for a blow-by-blow, I'm sure KessleCorp has the footage and I'll with their permission I'm sure we can release the footage for a reasonable amount donated to an agreed list of local charities!" she'd be pretty careful up to the server room, but there was almost no doubt that they had some in the room "And though, like them, I have the interest of Emerald City at heart, I'm not affiliated with Kessler Corp in any manner." right enough walking the corporate line, time for a little self-promotion "I've been doing this for almost eight years, and in that time I've met many, both super-hero and otherwise, trying to do right by this city. So it maybe not be a new era, but another chapter in this city's superhero community. As for everything else, well a girl got to keep a few secrets..." With a keen eye, she put her arm up and made a series of hand movements to send a tendril of quantum filament shooting up into the sky, she then zipped up into the sky, giving a cheery wave as she went. At the top of the building, she did a flip and roll to go out of sight on top of the building.
  17. Emerald Spider Even with everything she couldn't help but feel that she'd still been played, she wondered if the Freedom League ever felt the same way? Still, Francis would get the help he needed and she could always check back to see if the company was doing super criminal (compared to normal criminal) things. Hopefully, Jen would give them a good review and they would keep the contract, which was another thing she needed to square off quickly. But first... "I'm happy that things ended with minimal harm, and that Francis will get the help he needs..." she took Joseph's hand, and smiled (with her eyes at least, her face being covered) "Now I'm sure you all have lots of questions, and I'm needed elsewhere in the city, but I think I have time to answer a few!" A quick bit of superhero PR, then grab her clothes and make an appearance with on cameras so people wouldn't get too suspicious of Peri's disappearance.
  18. Emerald Spider Peri was so intent on making sure he was okay that it took a second or two to realise what had just happened. Still, she'd been doing this for a few years and quickly recovered her senses. "Physically he's okay..." she spoke softy and quietly to Francis "... though everything that happened with the company before has had an effect on her mental state." She didn't regret being a hero and helping people, even though she never made any money, but she wasn't going to play the corporate media game. Even if it was them just taking an opportunity of a bad situation. "I'm sure that as a sharing caring company Kessel will happily cover his medical bills to help him recover!" he seemed genuine so it was more a friendly suggestion than a threat to ruin this PR moment.
  19. Mz Grue Daphne was awash with both excitement to test out what she could really do, along the general cloud of teen emotions coming off of the other. It was almost intoxicating, and she idly wondering if she' felt anything like this before. It took a little effort to focus herself ready to start the training program, catching the general feeling that everyone else was just as keen just to get going. "Look's like we're all ready to go now! I'm sure we'll have lots of questions once things get going!" Well then go time!
  20. Centuria Kate was listening with some fascination as this new acquaintance hit them with goat fact. As she listened she split her funnel cake fifty/fifty with the goats, it was only fair as they were providing most of the entertainment. "My Mom always says you should be 110% passionate about everything you do, be it defending goat reputation or some really good cosplay!" it might be an inherited family trait but she was fully sincere as she spoke. When she was bumped by Jack she remembered to act as though properly jostled, it was amazing the weird little skill you had to learn as a superhero! "No harm, no foul!" she turned to look up at Jack, there wasn't much difference in height she was tall for her age (a lot of the class where it seemed), but he was probably just as wide as well "Oh hey, I think you've seen you around the school! Names Kate, by the way, come feed the goats!"
  21. Emerald Spider As soon as he began to fall Peri was ready with a blanketing stream of quantum foam, holding him safely a short distance from the ground. She then dropped to the ground and rapidly made her way to Francis. The building was the next problem, but one thing at a time! First aid wasn't her strongest point, aside from the basic course the company made her attend, so she had to rely on the suit to tell her just what was going on. "If you up and die right now I'm going to be extra annoyed with you!"

Emerald Spider Peri was tempted to make one final appeal to the man's common sense and decency, but it was toss up if she could talk him down before his suit both fried and froze him at the same time. "Well mostly to protect the people outside who might get hurt if the building collapses or burns down. But also to stop you from causing yourself much more harm, basically, I'm here to protect everyone." It pained her right now that the only way to quickly help the poor man was to take him down before she could worry about stopping the harm he caused to himself and the building. With that she was in motion again as she made the proper finger motions for a stream of harm-causing quantum filaments.

Emerald Spider Maybe it was a moment of overconfidence, she really should have started moving straight away, but she still had the presence of mind to take and hold a deep breath before the oxygen should could be suck away from her. It would be easy to just bounce away again, but she wanted to try and catch him out and end this once and for all. So she dropped to the floor, all curled up as if it had taken her right out of the fight. Playing possum, or more importantly certain types of Spiders, she surratically took a breath as she counted quietly to herself in Korean, "넷, 셋, 둘, 하나, 0". On zero she again lept to her feet, in a backflip, as she fired her quantum blasts again at Francis. "I knew you took the Oxygen from the room, but I didn't think you'd try and do it literally!"
