  1. Ms Hawthorne gave a weak little smile “I’m feeling much better, your friend did a wonderful job.†her voice carried a hint of an exotic accent. She pulled Synth close and whispered into her ear. “I think your friend is talking to one of those things that attacked me.†The quiet paramedic met Starlight stare with the strange dead eye she had seen in the other shapechaneger down in the square. But then suddenly like a switch the eyes lit up and it spoke in a slightly disembodied voice, like it was coming from some where else. “You can’t protect her all the time, Superhero.†And with that the shifter turned as if to leave.
  2. Lucy looked confused for a few moments “Why would I need my picture painting?†then realization dawned on you “Why you sly old dog. I knew there was more going on than that cranky old man routine.†She gave a playful tap on his shoulder. He smile faded as something important crossed her mind “Can you paint me in with some extra appropriate clothing? The cold doesn’t really affect me, but I’ll look strange wandering around in just a suit at four degrees Fahrenheit.†She gave a smile “It’ll make up from that dress you ruined. If you want I’ll return that replacement that’s in the mail.â€
  3. “No of cause not. Lady Fatale is an emotion controller, she gave me and Bluesman quite a few troubles.†She gave a sly smile “But she was close to the inner circle so she might be able to give us an idea of where to find whoever did this. Unless you want to try a few bars and see if anyone knows where they’re keeping whoever did that.†She gestured towards the corpse “Though once news gets out I doubt we’ll have any luck.†The sergeant almost swallowed his cigar for the third time with Whiplash’s appearance and looked like he was about to say something biting when a voice cut him off from behind, “It’s okay Sergeant I’ll take it from here.†The voice came from a young African-American woman. “Hi there I’d detective Rhonda Rhodes and you must be Whiplash. I must say you look much better than our pictures; all our photos are a little blurred. If I didn’t know better I’d think you didn’t like us.†Her smile suggested she wasn’t totally serious “If you’ll follow me…â€
  4. Player Name: Tiffany Korta Character Name: Blodeuwedd Power Level: 10 ( 150/150PP) Trade-Offs: "None" Unspent Power Points: 0 Progress To Bronze Status: 0/30 In Brief: A Welsh Ninja trained since an early age to battle rogue gods and spirits. Alternate Identity: Cerys Pefr Identity: Secret Birthplace:Caerdathyl, Gwynedd, Wales Occupation: Student Affiliations: Amddiffynnwr o Lleu Llaw Gyffes(Defenders of Lleu Llaw Gyffes) Family: None, orphaned at birth. Description: Age: 16 (DoB: 8th July 1996) Gender: Female Ethnicity: Welsh Height: 5’7†Weight: 125 lbs Eyes: Hazel Hair: Dark Brown Blodeuwedd is a pretty young woman but her features are not overly distinctive, the order has taken time to teach how to follow the fashion of the day. She could be any girl off the streets of Cardiff or Merhyr Tydfil. She is actually an attractive young woman, but unless she making an effort rarely apply make-up or styles her hair beyond a simple ponytail. Her body is lithe and athletic, a figure gained from years of dedicated training. Whilst she tries to dress in all the latest fashions, it always seem to come across as slightly off as if she doesn’t quite understand the whole process (which is close to the truth), she also tends to pick clothes which allow for movement in case of trouble. Power Descriptions: Blodeuwedd has no natural powers, apart from the years of training that has been provided to her by the Order. The Order has however managed over the centuries to have acquired, either legally, via industrial espionage and outright theft, a number of items both magical and technical. The best of this equipment has been given to Blodeuwedd to aid her in the mission. Each has been given a name after one of the fabled treasures of the British Isles. Bwa Hir Owain Glyn Dŵr “Longbow of Owain Glyndŵr†: An original medieval Welsh elm long bow which has been lovingly preserved by the order over the centuries. This is the only item not named after one of the thirteen treasures, the ancient Celts didn’t use bow. Instead the bow is claimed to be the weapon used by the last welsh Prince of Wales, Owain Glyndŵr, during his rebellion against the English. Dyrnwyn “White-Hilt†: Scholars of the order debate whether this sword is the actual mythical weapon or a similarly named item. The debate is centred on the fact that the sword is actually a more medieval broadsword than the more suitable Celtic designs. Like the mythical sword this one becomes covered in a magical fire when it is drawn. Gwyddbwyll Gwenddoleu ap Ceidio “The Chessboard of Gwenddoleu ap Ceidio : The google appear to be a set of oversized night vision goggles, and idea the do allow her to see in the dark. They do however contin a pair of specially prepared magical lenses that allow her to detect magical energies. Llan Tegau Eurfron “The Mantle of Tegau Eurfron : A tight fitting body suit weaved out of cutting edge materials which is not only light weight and flexible, but provides substantial protection to the owner. The suit is colored a dark blue to assist aid stealthy operations during night time. It’s light and form fitting enough that Blodewuedd often wears it under her normal clothing when pratical. Ffoniwch Eluned “Ring of Eluned†: This item is a alien ring, of unknown origins, which has been gifted to the order by one of their allies working from Cardiff. The ring projects a thin field of energy around the wearer which not only provides a degree of protection it also allows the wearer to camouflage themselves into the environment. History: Blodeuwedd never knew her parents, they died when she was young, all she has known is the sanctuary of the Amddiffynnwr o Lleu Llaw Gyffes (Defenders of Lleu Llaw Gyffes). The men and women of the order were caring people and she was raised in a loving caring environment, but from an early age she was trained as an athlete and a warrior. Trained to be an agent of the order. According to legend the Order was founded by Lleu Llaw Gyffes himself as a body of men (and later women) to help defend him and the Kingdom of Gwynedd (later Wales) from the vengeance from the goddess, and his mother, Arianrhod. Through the centuries the order has expanded there remit to defend the nation from any supernatural threat being from the Celtic gods and spirits. Mostly from within Wales but occasionally the acted on threats outside the country. A small and deeply secretive order they rarely concern themselves with matters outside of Wales, but in the last few years there augers and intelligence network, have heard rumours that one of the Celtic god or goddess have allowed one of their offspring to live in Freedom City in the United States. After much debate the order decided to send an agent to the city to monitor the situation. As the seer showed the main focus was an unusual school they needed someone of the right age to infiltrate the school. Blodeuwedd knew nothing about this; she was being trained to recover dangerous Celtic artefacts. The first she knew was when she was informed of her mission by the Order and sent to America to infiltrate the school. Her orders were simple, find out if such people exists and if they do what danger they present to the order. So far her first days in her new identity as Cerys haven’t gone well. On arrival at Claremont the Headmaster called her in and proceeded to tear apart her newly constructed identity, only to inform her that she had undergone an excellent training and telling her that she was welcome to stay. Personality &Motivation: Blodeudwedd is a quiet and reserved person with all her word and actions being carefully considered. She’s a quiet and conscientious student who watches everything and considers all the fact before asking questions. She a very stern and serious person who will have little to do with any kind of frivolity. Having grown in as part of a small order, based near a tiny village in North Wales, Bloeudwedd doesn’t have much experience with dealing with the vast multitude of people who live in Freedom City. She can come across as curt and rude, but ib fact is more than a little shy, not to mention awe struck. Powers &Tactics: Blodeuwedd has been trained to be a cautious fighter. She will spend as much time as possible calculating her enemy’s abilities and weaknesses, if possible at a distance from a hiding place. Then when she is ready she will strike quickly and swiftly trying to disable her opponent. She has had it drummed into her to always spare her hand against human enemies, only against the gods and their allies are she allows unleashing her full fury. Complications: I thank the Lord I’m Welsh: Raised by a very pro-Welsh Order Blodeuwedd is naturally very proud of her Welsh heritage, it takes a great effort of will to hide her nationality or even her accent. She, and the order, aren’t however rabid nationalist fighting for independence. In their mind if the Queen was unfit to rule the land then the land we become barren. Only then would they have to act. Secret Identity: Blodeuwedd know the importance of secrecy to both her personal safety and to the order as a whole. So she endeavours to keep up the facade of the cover story she has been provided with. Ceyrs Matters: Raised from birth in an isolated location with a focus on training for her chosen task Blodeuwedd has never had any concerned other than her duty. As Ceyrs she now has time to herself, and almost no idea what to do with herself. 5. I thought as much and then couldn't find the reference, just having an off day I guess. 1d20+11=30, I think that's just a hit . I'll wait until the next turn and make sure he's safe.
  6. The cold didn’t seem to bother Agnes at all, though it was making it difficult to move around. Trying not to reveal her weakened state instead she gave a confident smile as the light around her brightened. It wasn’t good practice but she focused on Cold Front, Starlight seemed to have her companion in hand she heard the woman calling out her condition. “I’m chilled enough already thanks. Whilst you on the other hand really need to lighten up…†With a simple flick of the wrist she sent a burst of light towards Cold Front.
  7. Sorry I was rattling through the threads and missed that fact. Let go for a blast on the Cold front. Blast 1d20+7-2=11, no that ain't going to do, lets spend a HP and go for a reroll 1d20+7-2=19. If that does hit then a DC 21 Toughness save
  8. The second Paramedic doesn't seem to be reacting to anything much at all. Oh and Ms Hawthorn is the ex-injured CEO and Thorn is the PA. My bad for making both there names so similar  .
  9. The paramedic in front had a mix of shock and surprise on his face. For a minute he didn’t quite know what to say, the he recovered his composure. “Wow we got beaten by a honest to god superhero.†He put his hand outs to show he wasn’t a treat to any of them “But I’d been happier if we could just quickly check her out. Not that I don’t trust you to do the job right, just so we can say to control that she is all fine.†He gave an embarrassed little smile “Guy’s gotta get pay if you can understand that.†Behind him the second paramedic remained quiet, in actual fact he seemed not to be reacting an anyway to the situation at hand…
  10. The pain was almost unbearable and she could feel her flesh boil and see patches of muscles under the holes burn in her clothing. But she was focused not on her own plight, already her flesh was beginning to heal and strangely even her clothing, but on the man sent to kill her but had instead was being broiled alive. Yes she had made a deal with the Haitian, but that didn’t mean she was going to make it easy. Besides as a lawyer she knew any deal had a degree of flexibility in its application. She moved toward the man hoping to manhandle him as get him safely out of the burning building.
  11. My go As a free action I recover from one Injured. I want to try something that cheats a little. I want to grapple to flamthrower guy (even if he all on fire and all) then move toward the windon and if possible drop him safe outside. All in one round if possible. Anyhow my grapple roll is 1d20+19=20, grumble, grumble, grumble, Must save burning man so I'll spend HP for a reroll. 1d20+19=28, much better.
  12. She looked at Mr Trowell despairingly. “Oi! Can we stop with excessive violence?†She spent the door flying with some force hitting the blinded Inquisitor on the head knocking his off his feet. “After all I fought you were some kind of Gentleman. You know not hitting someone when there down. Queensbury rules and all that.†With unnatural speed she flew behind the final man, putting into a sleeper hold. “A lady like myself would never resort to such lowly tactics.†She dropped the unconscious man to the floor.
  13. “Maybe I’m pining from a lost love. Surely as a Frenchman you can appreciate the romance of a lost love.†She had a smile as she said it but her eyes, the cold black orbs that they were still showed sadness. She was thoughtful for a few minutes. “Beside unless you know a teleporter who could get me all the way to Alaska it going to take a couple of day until I could even travel. I’m a busy girl with a full diary for the next couple of days.†Like being legally able to travel. It was strange that she had never been beyond the limits of the city, now she was probably going to end up travelling right across America.
  14. “That would be where I come in.†Lucy had got the basic from the Sergeant downstairs but it hadn’t prepared her fully from the sight of the corpse. Plus there was a strange tingling in the air that made her anxious. She hid her unease with a broad smile at the towering demon figure. “Hello I’m Revenant…†She knelt down at the side of the poor corpse. “And this poor man was meant to testify at the trail of one Lady Fatale. When he failed to show today the police and myself were sent to find out what had happened to him.†She stood back up and looked Pyre straight in the eye. “I suspect that she may know exactly what’s going on. And how to find the people involved. Do you fancy a trip to jail?â€
  15. Reflex Save : 1d20+4=16 That would be me snared.
  16. For Mr Burny Reflex Save : 1d20+8=10 Toughness Save : 1d20+11=23 For Mr Shooty x3 Toughness Save : 1d20+11=28, 1d20+11=21, 1d20+11=15 So thats Injured x 2?
  17. I protest I'm nowhere near as neurotic . I guess I need a Toughness save so here we go. 1d20+11=18, probably not good...
  18. Revenant Straight foward adjustment this time I'm putting my strength up to 30 (that's +4). I'm going to the trouble of posting up the whole sheet as I noticed a few minor errors from last update. Reanimated by Supercape
  19. Revenant Minature Heroland (3) Something Fishy (4) The Devil his Due (playing and GMing) (9) Third Time Sucky (13) Urban Regeneration (5) Young Britannia Light Lunch (4) Music Hall Mystery (9) Table for Two, and Some Villains (2) GMing Double Pink (14)
  20. She discarded the idea of using any of the cars the machine was too close to the crowd and beside she wasn’t sure how the model car would fly. Instead she decided it would be a good idea to get the machine away from the people as quickly as possible. So she began to run toward the mechanism bounding from car to car. “If this works I suggest you get everyone out as quickly as possible. And if not, well…†With all the speed and momentum she had generated she slammed into the robot with as much force as she could muster. Even if she didn’t have enough strength to force the robot backwards she would at least get the machines attention.
  21. It's a long shot but I'm gong to try a Rush to get the Robot outside. 1d20+9=25, oh and I missed my Speed off the total as well so thats 25+2=27. EDIT As requested I need an attack roll 1d20+11=16, that's not going to work, let's go for a re-roll 1d20+11=12, so luckly that a +10 for 22.
  22. Well now she’d been compared to both sides. “Isn’t there some kind of law against being compared to the servant of a higher power even the adversary?†Whilst there attacks didn’t seem to have much effect she didn’t really want them to get past her and try to gain some retribution of the Bishop. So drawing on all her strength she swung the door she still held with all her might sending the surpised (or she hoped) inquisitor scattered to the four wind. She tensed ready from another attack, but they seemed not to be moving. Which was good as the attack had drained her quite substantially. “You colleagues as down and you are blinded it you surrender now I promise you that you will come to no harm.†She didn’t know how long the blinding would last, and she didn’t want the men in their grief and anger to harm a blinded man.
  23. As well as the strange resistance the wound isn't quite as deep as you'd expect from such a direct gunshot.
  24. Starlight felt there was a strange feeling of resistance, but the wound did seem to close and heal. But again there was that strange smell of sulphur in the air. The woman’s eye flickered open and she gave a little smile. The lead paramedic, on hearing and seeing Starlight’s action had just dropped his bag and looked on in wide mouthed wonder, and perhaps not a little admiration. His partner didn’t seem to be quite so impressed with the hero’s actions. In fact he didn’t seem to react at all… Behind then all unseen the doors to the second elevator seemed to open all by themselves.
  25. Apart from the faint smell of blood, and the prickly sensation of magic, the room seemed totally normal. Meretriciously tidy and rather sparse it was obviously a temporary bolt hole rather than a place the poor man lived. The young Asian woman, the sergeants partner, face lit up in recognition of Pyre and she obviously wanted to say something, but professionalism took over and instead she showed him over to where the body was lying. The Sergeant still a little grren around the gills quickly may his excuses and left to contact control. The body was still fresh, as if nature itself was afraid to touch such an abomination. Apart from a few scratches when he fell the body was unharmed as if all the skin had just evaporated from the flesh. The face was fixed in a rickus that showed he had died in agony. His brown eye stared out blankly, though they seemed so fresh so alive. They wouldn’t have? … They couldn’t have? … “It’ okay he is dead it’s the first thing we checked. I’d have covered him, but it’ll might disturb any evidence we might find.†The man tried to take a swig from his flash and finding it empty threw it away. “He, I think it’s a he, he never spoke except to the Don. We always seen him in a strange set of robes, his face covered. Strange choice of color as well. A sorta dark yellow…†The snitch was pacing erratically; here near the body he seemed even more nervous. He looked like he could bolt at any minute. The Sergeant had just finished calling in the incident and had just relit his cigar when again he was interrupted. “Hello Sergeant you better tell me what’s happened.â€
