Agnes gave a sharp look at the Bishop comments, it probably didn’t help she was raised a good pagan girl. But despite being a small minded bigot who was in lust with a trollop (who looked just like her, let’s hope the Red Tops didn’t get hold of that) she needed his help. Instead she mumbled a rather creative insult in mandarin. Wait the Chinese! That gave her an idea. “Close your eyes it’s going to get rather bright out here.†It’s not something she’d ever tried to do, but hey it was just lots of coloured lights in the sky right? After a few moments concentration the sky was lit up with a sparkling array of firework, in multiple forms and colours, basically as many as she could remember. They weren’t perfect, she couldn’t get the sound just right but the display did blanket the sky around the ship in multiple lights. Lucy rolled her eyes that was the problem with people today no sense of drama. “I know a deal a deal. Still doesn’t mean I can’t offer these people a way out now does it?†In one solid motion she stood up snapping the chain binding her. “Sorry guy the offers off the table. I’ll try not to hurt you too much. Him on the other hand…†Allowing for the element of surprise she crossed the warehouse to put herself between the Haitian and the gangsters. Agnes really wanted to wave back to the dockworker or at least give a little barrel roll, but that would be a little unfair to her passengers. Instead she called out a little greeting in Mandarin and just for luck Cantonese. Luck some of her past selves had spent some time out in the orient. “I’m afraid stealth is probably not an option gentlemen. Is it worth trying to talk to these Inquisitors Monsignor?†She stopped to hover in the air a good distance from the Galicia, but close enough to see if anyone was moving around on deck. She even dialled down the glow, though a faint light still flared around her.

Lucy looked up into the eyes of the gangster and gave her warmest smile. “I’m a reasonable woman. I’ll give you one chance to surrender; otherwise, well I’ll have to hurt you all.†Just to be sure she tested her chains; she could feel the strength flowing back into her limbs. She’d have to act fast before he noticed her skin paling again. “If you do have to shoot could you at least use the old scare? Waste not, want not and all that.†A tiny bit of her was still a little unsure and scared that another bullet to the brain could hurt or even kill her again, but she had to trust that the Haitian would keep his side of the bargain.

It was tempting to play to his beliefs, on better than these Cannonades, but her conscious got the better of her. Her flow faded a little and her feet touched the ground. “No I’m just a normal person just like yourself. Given a special gift to help people, all people, whenever the need arises.†She obviously left out the part about being the embodiment of a pagan spirit of the land that might gall a practicing Catholic. She gently lifted up the two men and slowly lifted them all into the air. “Before we leave is anyone afraid of heights? I might need help with directions; I don’t think I have Sat-nav for Victorian London.†She slowly drifted out of the window, before taking off at her top speed.

As much as she’d hated to admit it she needed his help to stop the gangster. But with the little knowledge she possessed she knew this agreement would be binding whatever she wished. “Okay we have a deal, but if you break the bargain nothing will stop me hunting you down and sending you back to your maker.†She offered her hand to seal the deal.

With a brief moment of concentration and flash of light Young Britannia was standing before the two. “Non Angeli, sed Angli.†She gave a little bow towards Bishop Innocente “This deception was unfortunately necessary Monsignor. But I must remind you a young woman’s life may be at stake even as we speak.†She floated a few feet in the air and offered her arms out to the two men. “I’m going now to save the woman you both care about. Do either of you wish to help me?â€

She narrowed her eyes at the Haitian. “I’ve lived a full life and seen more in the last few months than most people see in a lifetime. I’m ready to meet whatever the afterlife hold. I suspect you however have some serious karma to repay in the next life.†She stood there looking stem her arms crossed. “Twice, and as long as nobody seriously hurt, otherwise the whole deals off. That’s the best deal you’re going to get all day.†A wicked little smile crossed her face “Unless you fancy your chances with the gangsters who think you’ve crossed them.â€

Lucy helped Nora up to her feet, draping her jacket over the woman. “How do you feel?†she gave a friendly little smile She turned to Nick. “Thank you again.†She lowered her voice hoping that Nora couldn’t hear “I’m no expert but will her master know that the links been broken? I want to make sure as much as possible she has the chance of normal life this time around. And I’m not sure how to get all the necessary documents you need in this modern world.†She turned back to Nora “Let get you back to my place and we can start building you a new life.â€

She gave a little laugh at his offer; he really was full of surprises. She had to fight down the obvious ego based question. Why her? If he could choose anyone in the city, if not the world, why choose her. “That’s a dangerous thing to ask a woman!†She thought about the perfect question as she ordered from the menu. “Why go public? I mean lots of heroes have secret identities. I know you must be in the public spot light all the time, and I almost know how that feels, but then the added pressure of being a superhero. If I had any kind of powers I not sure I’d be able to live like that.â€

The shifter struggled against Starlight grasp for a few seconds, but her hold was solid and the thing soon gave up. The creature seemed to relax slightly into a vaguely humanoid form. The creature gave Starlight a defiant look with it cold eyes, giving away nothing with its glare. Meanwhile whilst all the attention was on the conflict between Starlight and the shifter a ambulance rolled up and the two paramedics rushed into the building to help the injured CEO. Poor Rosemary would of course have be appalled by such turned of events, if she wasn’t watching in a mix or awe and horror at the fight between Starlight and the creature.

Revenant stood up to her full height and looked the Haitian square in the eye. Here she was as tall as him, rather than her normal tiny frame. “Then it seems we need each other at the moment. You wish to carry on living and I, as much as I enjoying living again, need to return to my undead state.†She gave a sly little smile “I would expect that someone like you know how to break my enchantment.†She gave a sad little look at the door behind her and the happy memories it enclosed. “Do this and I let you walk away this once. But if our paths cross again, well you can guess what will happen.â€

Well that explains that. “I’m afraid there’s been a ghastly mistake.†She made her voice as gushy as she could. She gently pushed herself away with the bishop and gave Mr Trowell and go with it look. Tears fill her eyes, and to think EastEnders turned her down. “I had hired a look alike as part of my act, she could barely sing but the two of use on stage together would have been sensational. But the poor girl has been kidnapped by those ungodly fiends.†She straightened up and whipped the mock tears from her eyes. “We must help this poor girl. Boy did that feel good. “You are a despicable little toad that didn’t deserve to be in the world in the first place. And whatever the cost I’m going to make sure you don’t go back there.†She looked up at the Haitian. “What would it take to banish him to the netherworlds? I guessing some kind of sacrifice, would I do?†She narrowed her eyes and looked down at the gangster. “Like I said you’re not going back whatever the cost.â€

He bring in this weird sorcerer who has all these little weird demon to serve the, hand a foot.†“Then things got really weird when he found out that Mike had turned on the family, got us all together and his pet sorcerer showed use all as they did something to Mike, like one of those holograms things in the movies. She tottered over to the bar, weaving skillful through the throng of the crowd. She had to remind herself she was a cold hearted creature who wasn’t embarrassed but the occasional attention her appearance was garnering. The bar man looked up and gave her a knowing look. “Let me guess you’ll have a red wine?†“I don’t drink wine…†the barman began to roll his eyes at the obvious line “But I love a Manhattan. It’s not often someone surprises me like that.†After the drink, which was as far as she could tell quite good, she scanned the club until she spotted the VIP area, her goal for the night. Walking over to the bouncer there she gave him a little toothy smile.

Using all her patience and skills picked up from a predecessor, she carefully wrote out a note in the handwriting of Ada. She had to use a lot of guess work but she was starting to get a feel for Ms Wheatly. The note basically invited the Bishop up to this wonderful suite to share afternoon tea with her and discus the unfinished business between them. The last thing she needed was the verbal sparring that she suspected the Bishop would indulge in but she was hopeful to get the last piece of the puzzle. Of cause if he already had Ada he might just try to kill her but she could actually cope with that better.
